Nicolò P may yet lack the prestige of their brand counterparts, but they go to some lengths to make up for this through design quality and in some cases originality. The owner, Pascal, was kind enough to answer a couple of specific inquiries I made, and during our exchange revealed some nice touches about the product. One such example was the lengths they go to in order to source real, sustainable mother of pearl for the buttons which is not always a given when spending £100 on a polo shirt. They even dye these to match the colour of the fabric in some cases. Other touches I have come to appreciate include a firm collar which gives off a visual appearance of a traditional shirt, or the soft, mercerised double-jersey fabric that grips the skin from their "Weekend" range. He tells me they are also built to last, and as of yet I don't have reason to doubt it. This sort of dedication to manufacturing high quality garments is beyond refreshing in an industry oversaturated by crowd favourites that attach a high price tag based solely on the merit of their brand name. Sunspel, Lacoste, John Smedley, or for the truly clueless, Ralph Lauren, are all accessible alternatives, but they either lack the pizazz (Sunspel and Lacoste) or in many cases solid build quality (I am looking at you, beautiful but delicate Smedley), often featuring plastic buttons, lazy stitching and/or lacklustre shapes. It is a fine line between being timeless, and being generic. More often than not these brands have some connection or other to Wimbledon or the James Bond franchise which invariably finds its way onto their homepage image or blurb alongside phrases like "defining" and "legacy". But this doesn't actually benefit the buyer one bit when the endgame should be to look good and be comfortable, and not have to replace the item after half a dozen washes. My favourite purchase is a navy blue number with bold and almost satin-like fabric that has an ever-so-slight gleam (achieved through mercerising the cotton I gather) and a slim cut aesthetic that is eye-catching enough that people sometimes compliment me on it when I wear it out. At the end of the day I like to identify a seller who will take my money and direct it responsibly into the design and manufacture of an item, and not divert it into their marketing budget or the overheads of running a huge flagship store in Mayfair, because £100+ should go a long way to building something pretty spectacular if used right. Whether it is a timeless and minimalist design, or slim fit and eye-catching, is entirely up to the buyer, but fortunately Nicolò P offers both. With no physical footprint on the high street their overheads are suitably lower and they can afford to cover shipping costs as you would expect, allowing you to try what you like and return what you don't. All in all, if you wish to wear a polo shirt that both looks and feels just that little bit nicer than the one next to it, will likely survive a good few wash cycles before it loses its fresh look, and you appreciate little touches that are marks of fine tailoring, then you could do worse than trying a Nicolò P.

I ordered the Dark Sapphire Sea Island Cotton Polo Shirt in M for my boyfriend. He’s 1,84 m 72kg. It’s a perfect fit. Quality of cotton is exceptional. Nice blue mat colour. In searching for the highest quality polo available I came across Niccolo P. of London and ordered two, the Côte d’Azur Blue Egyptian Cotton Polo and the Racing Green Supima Cotton Polo. They arrived quickly even though I am based in Seattle USA. Unfortunately, I ordered size medium and they were a bit fitted, perhaps by design. I reached out to the company and they immediately responded that I could return them and exchange for size large, kindly giving me a heads-up to send them by basic mail which saved quite a lot in shipping costs. The customer service could not have been better. I was pleasantly surprised to find them to be the finest polo I had come across and they quickly became the favorites in my closet. From the craftsmanship to the material, colors and buttons the attention to quality and detail is unmatched. The collars are unlike others in that they maintain their form resulting in a casual yet elegant and refined appearance. Great quality polo shirts, and a cut above the rest! Nice slim fit with lovely, comfortable material. The collar, although quite big sits nicely. These polos also wash up a treat too. Washing instruction labels are visible but they can easily be snipped out so as not to ruin the profile of the garment. Not cheap but so worth it. Super quick delivery and top notch customer service too!

Definitely a case of you get what you pay for. These polo shirts feel and look like a much higher quality than cheaper alternatives. I'm not a cotton expert but these shirts are made of superior cotton. Delivered very quickly. I'll be back for more soon.

I ordered three t-shirts and I must say the quality is outstanding and out weigh any high street brand or designer brand I've purchased from before. I also loved the hand written note by the owner which was a great touch. I highly recommend the brand and I will definitely be buying again!
