I can't speak for the shop itself, but as a music venue, fantastic. It looks incredibly unassuming from outside, but once you enter and go up a flight of stairs to the first floor there is a tiny, 100 person performance space. It feels intimate but not claustrophic, sound was surprisingly good as well. A really great atmosphere all round. The bar had a great selection of drinks, I recommend the Paper Dress Ale.

Great upstairs area for gigs. I'd like to particularly call out the excellent lighting. We stood by the bar where someone was operating both the lights & pouring pints (which I thought could be a problem for focus) and not only did he do a stellar job at creating just the right atmosphere but he also asked us for feedback if we weren't digging the lighting at any point. Outstanding job.

We did a private party there and it was totally amazing. The staff are lovely and the PA is really good for live bands. It's a great space. Watch out for the honey tequila though, especially if you end up doing shots with the bar staff.

Not a common place if you are interested to different concert venues. The bar is located at the shop floor and the concerts are performed in a cosy room at the top of this vintage shop. Obviously, the musicians and their performance will influence most of your experience but this alternative place will make your night a bit more special compared to common pubs.

Thus is a nice little place to find some really awesome clothes, if you're used to old school aesthetic and vibe this place is for you. Additionally though i haven't tried it this place doubles as a bar so you can get alcohol and cocktails in addition to coffee. Great staff as well who are attentive.

Went on a night out to see the excellant Hard of Hearing show, featuring Sink Yah Teeth and Milk Disco. Fabulous bands and venue - well organised with good vibes attended by the trendy set who like serious up and coming bands. Good beer .... do visit..

Clothing, beer and music - fabulous place :D I first came here for an evening gig and have been back since in the daylight hours. They have an interesting range of vintage clothes and accessories for both men and women which seem clean and well displayed. Given it's London, the prices are very reasonable, but where this place really scores is the lovely staff and the chilled out café/bar vibe. There's a really good range of bottled beers including Belgium and American representatives. Also teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks (order the hummus - @ £3 it is both great value & yummy). Great little gem :)

Rating for the excellent, lively & vibrant open mic night hosted on Sunday nights (called Noteworthy). The best open mic night I've been to in London! Definitely good even if you're going alone. The performances are usually eclectric because many of the performers are friends

Love Paper Dress Vintage! It's a wonderful vintage shop that turns into a really fun bar/music venue at night. There's always a great atmosphere in there and definitely enjoy going back. The owners are also amazing people who are always warm and welcoming.

There are a lot of good vintage shops in London, but this is definitely one of the best - gorgeous pieces from Edwardian era onwards, attractively arranged and fairly priced. Nice little gig venue too, with interesting band/DJ line ups and pay-what-you-like/can afford policy for a lot of the events. Nice drink selection and friendly, knowledgable staff to boot. A pleasure to visit!

Gigs, vintage clothes and a bar? Yes please! Paper Dress not only sells some beautiful vintage clothes, but it also hosts gigs with a bar. How amazing! The sound system wasn't brilliant, but with free entry and gin-infused ice lollies I really couldn't say no. I'm looking forward to coming back here and seeing some more music soon! And hopefully shopping; there were quite a few gems in this shop.

I organised a birthday party for my brother at Paper Dress Vintage in mid-July 2016. In all correspondence, I found the venue owner, Steve, to be very polite, helpful and considerate, and he even moved his own event to accommodate us. I don't think you can beat the venue in terms of value for money, size and character in London. All the staff were really friendly and fun on the night and a really great time was had by all! Thanks to Steve and all the team.

You could spend all day in this interesting shop... A coffee shop and fully-stocked bar mean that potentially you could have round-the-clock fun, since they have parties, bands, exhibitions, illustration classes and even open-mic nights. Downstairs, you'll find women's clothing, shoes and accessories from the 1900s-80s. Upstairs the men's selection is slightly smaller but still cool. There's an in-house tailor and seamstress specializing in vintage alterations and a personal shopper on hand too.

Excellent venue to deal with for putting on a gig. Steve Dix, my contact/one of the managers, is very organised and a swift respondent to correspondence, and Julian, the sound tech, made all the bands sound like magic. A really interesting idea that maximises the use of available space. A Vintage clothing shop by day and a bar (converted from the womenswear section) and upstairs a music venue (menswear section). The sound seemed good to me from the gig I went to this evening.

Had passed this little gem of a place several times whilst making my way up Great Eastern street and always wondered what was going on inside. What I saw through the window seemed like paradise, perusing the delightful vintage pieces whilst enjoying a beverage or two. So when my friend's band ended up playing a gig there, I was of course front row, keen to check out what Paper Dress Vintage had to offer. Aficionados of real cider will definitely enjoy the traditional Scrumpy Cider. For those not so keen on this, they also had a good range of boutique beers and cocktails. There are always interesting events on here so be sure to go along for some late night shopping or a film screening. Whatever takes your fancy!

A good friend of mine told me about this vintage boutique so I decided to give it a try. To be honest when I entered the shop I wasn't actually planning on buying anything. But after a bit of browsing I just couldn't resist the appeal of those retro dresses so I bought 2 of them plus some accessories to go along. I find this shop to be a bit cheaper than other shops alike in the area plus they offer alterations which is absolutely great.

Though the place was empty, it didn't feel as though we were intruding, and staff just let us get on with browsing handbags. It was very relaxed and didn't have the snootiness you'd expect from Shoreditch. But what sets this place apart is a lovely cafe at the front of the shop. I'm sure I spied a few cakes on sale too. Who wouldn't want to drink a cup of tea whilst being surrounded by rails of lovely clothes?
