Reviews of Boundary Outlet - Newcastle
J. T.
Amazing franchise of shops. Great selection of various goods at good prices. Nice spacious parking and cafeteria.
s. s.
Was in the store today to look for a suit for my husband for a wedding and was served by a lovely lady named Donna who went above and beyond to help us. Got everything that we needed. Also the lady in shoes (sorry didn’t get her name) was also very helpful. Will definitely be back. Thank you both.
S. B.
A joy to shop in this lovely place. I got everything I needed for my Grandaughters wedding. The staff in particular were lovely and very helpful. It's great to shop where customers are important and there's always someone around to help. You're one in a million.
L. A. H.
Refurbishment has created a relaxed atmosphere to this store. A fantastic selection of items in every department to suit everyone's needs. Well done with the modern upgrade of uniform for the staff.
Looking forward to the opening of the newly refurbished restaurant.

Boundary Outlet is a freshening find to keep retail therapy at the top of your list of to do's. We spent, three hours there and it only seemed we'd seen 20/30% of what's on offer.
It's lush, stylish and bargains abundant. Good to visit with your family.
M. E.
A great place to spend the day. Refit is stunning gorgeous cafe. Staff go out of their way help. Food is delicious.
Well done on bringing the store up to date. Caters for all ages.
S. N.
Good day out, spent far too much money 😉 but made a great saving after speaking to Dionne who introduced us to the card scheme and even helped download the app. She had the patience of a saint and her customer service skills needs a special mention. Thanks Dionne 😊

Store had BIG overall-a lot of labels gone not so many deals - only 2 makes of shoes compared to before which are far from called “deals” - cafe totally changed too although very nice and staff very kind and helpful - higher standards but not so good for deals - customer numbers bound to drop sadly!!
F. A.
Fantastic new layout. They have mew designer lines for the younger generation and kids.
They also have a really nice new cafe and the cakes are really well cooked and tasty
H. F.
For a start I would hate to walk to Newcastle from this store its a good 5 mile from city centre, it is in Shiremoor.
All nicely refurbished and bright with wide isles.
A wide variety of clothing and homewares.
J. B.
Good shopping experience staff very nice and new Cafe excellent
K. H.
Haven't visited for over 3 years, due to Covid & was very impressed. Has had a makeover & is light & spacious. Lovely food & staff in the restaurant.
L. B.
Great refurb, much more space and well set out. Cafe nice with plenty of space between tables. Still a little disappointed Yankee Candles have gone.
P. V.
Wot a brilliant shop selling everything you need. Nice cafe. Easy to get to staff very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend 5 star 🌟

S. F.
Been a big refurbishment recently and looks a lot more modern. The lady on the luggage department was extremely helpful and great at engaging with my 3yo.
B. H.

Plenty of parking spaces
Helpful staff
Quick on the tills

Must have recently rebranded from Boundary Mills, decor is a little outdated it's like walking back into the 80s however fantastic shopping experience bargains to be had everywhere, download the Boundary outlet app for a further 10% discount
j. m.
Quite surprised at the selection of goods especially the clothing for men, wrangler and Lee and Jeff Banks jeans and good quality footwear
J. B.
The cafe was nice and clean but offered a limited choice of lunch options compared to how it was in the past. It would have been nice to have a salad bar where the empty units were - perhaps it was all due to being short-staffed. The whole area is currently being reorganised so the clothes were somewhat lacking display making it difficult to find things. My mother of 95 was looking forward to a first return visit since before lockdown but she described the experience as 'disappointing'. From my perspective it was 'what it was' as I didn't have the same expectations. Once the 'improvements ' have been implemented it might be worth revisiting. My main comments would be to improve the lunch experience.
P. A.
Completely changed since was last in and much prefer the light and airy feel
Feel like easier to find things you want
D. M.
Definitely not my favourite shop, I don't go very often but when I do go all the stocks been moved around. The manager must suffer from, is it OCD, were nothing is ever right. Stop moving the merchandise, the shoppers don't care, everything is in the right place.
A. S.
A very nice shop. Well laid out plenty room to move around. A good choice of merchandise, everything under one roof. Enjoyed the experience so well worth a visit
I. M. G.
Disgusted at having to do a 40 mile round trip to get a security tag removed and refused any contribution towards fuel. I had no receipt with me but did point out the lady who served me. I put my goods back I'd chosen on my 2nd visit as a redult. Maybe I should do another 40 mile round trip to show you it?
Your store is a tip I couldn't get to my shoe size as was cordoned off. Not enough seats for the disabled. My aunt was moved on as she was in the way.
M. M.
Resturant has been remodeled very nice. Also floor plan more open and lighter and brighter .
H. M.
I was spoilt I used to live 3 miles from bm flagship store in Colne. This one needs a boost and less older styles in the concessions. Why not any bus companies to visit it would be so worth it.
a. w.
The lady in the julian charles bedding department was really informative and helpful making telephone calls to other outlets to enquire if they had the items i required in their shops
R. W.
Shop revamped to a very high standard made up of individual retailers giving a excellent and varied choice of ladies and mens clothes etc
A. W.
First time at Boundary outlet.
Everything under one roof .
Alot of top quality names too . Bought 2 Radley bags and Christy towels bargains.
Definitely visit again.
Angela from Durham 🙂
C. K.
Store in disarray at the moment toilets closed and outside portable toilets in operation .waiting for renovation to be completed .hope it retains the basic products that made it a pleasant shopping experience...
G. A.
A lot has changed and its a bit confusing at first but its a lot brighter inside. Found everything a lot more expensive - no good bargains to be had. 😟
A. D.
Really nice friendly staff, store very clean well organised, easy to park , cafe nice and clean
J. H.
Great variety of household items, quality ranges and brands. Process are very competitive, staff are very helpful and friendly.
Shop is kept very tidy, plenty of staff around making sure everything is organised which makes finding what you need much easier.
M. F.
Great place to shop, They are currently doing lots of alterations ,wider isles, ect ,Lots and Lots of ladies fashion brands , men's wear, and household goods ,After shopping till you drop , Cafeteria with a wide selection of food Well worth a visit , Helpful staff members ,
D. J.
Good space to walk around. Friendly floor staff very helpful. Got what we went for. Very clean and bright shop.
S. S.
Great place for shopping under one roof with some good offers throughout the store. We were though disappointed with the range of food on offer in the cafe. It made us wish we had gone elsewhere for lunch.
F. J.
My mother shops here regularly and if she's willing to buy the staff on the perfume store a Christmas present it must be great 🎉
D. A.
Safe level access environment, lots of choice and sizes, generally good quality and reasonable prices...I think they have a café
R. H.
A huge shop with a lot of discount designer wear. A lot to choose from. Recently completely refurbished. Cafe is nice but unfortunately a long wait caused by slow coffee machines and no way to bypass them . Nearly 20 mins wait and not especially busy.
R. H.
Is an expensive outlet. Though they do have a good discount on designer items like Radley bags and pringle items. Very large selection of kitchenalia.
E. M.
Since its " face lift" so much nicer to browse and buy. Sadly coffee still " tasteless " and food bland
J. H.
Good visit found what I was looking for & considering the same jacket was twice the price everywhere else was very happy with my purchase plenty of parking helpful staff
J. H.
I love the way they are refurbishing the shop it is a lot brighter and more up to date. Only problem is the cafe I do not like it at all.
D. H.
Loads of choice and bargains, sells everything from designer clothes to kitchen stuff, lots of parking, including loads of blue badge spaces.
E. P.
Great for holdhold items, shoes, bags and clothes.
C. D.
Lots to buy, great bargains,in the middle of refurbishment so not as much stock as usual but still worth a visit
E. W.
They have used the down time because of the pandemic well, and it is now well laid out and more space to move around. A pleasant shopping experience!
S.
I got lots of Christmas items from here. They had a very large selection of Christmas gifts. Spent quite a long time in here, browsing. Lovely coffee shop.
D. a. J.
Expensive store but nice and refreshed outlet. Not like the old one.,you can actually find stuff
U. P.
Clothes prices are quite high , but good at the everything at one floor and the front staff welcome customers every impressive
D. B.
Fairly cheap, but getting your size clothing is hit it miss.
P.
Lovely shop full of lovely things from mugs and plates to socks and shoes
L. R.
Beautiful looks really big and so light very nice BBs is lovely as well nice visit
L. M.
Huge selection but the staff would rather stand around talking to each other than help customers.
D. M.
A lot of staff standing around this evening chatting with each other!
Remember the last time I visited all the staff were really helpful and pushing me to buy things!
The place has had a makeover and there is a different layout.
I love this store as everything (pretty much) is under one roof. I remember I got a wedding suit from here! Make sure you get the members card as this can give you free stuff in the cafe and potential “percentages” off your shopping!!
Love it!
E. S.
Newly refurbished, very smart and spacious. Lovely new restaurant.
C.
My friend and I enjoy pottering around looking for a good bargain. We then go to the cafe for a nice cupa with a nice treat. The staff are lovely, friendly, and will help and advice you if you are looking for something special. And with the new makeover of the store it is more open and roomy to get around and the new floor covering makes it lovely and bright. Worth a look.
D. H.
Great choice with the most friendliest & helpfull staff ever. 👍
L. J.
The coffee shop could do with staying open later I felt ,we got there for 6.30 and it shuts at 7 ,service slow as they were cleaning
S. B.
Plenty of space to walk around and browse goods. Staff friendly and helpful. At end of shopping, trip to their cafe for cake and cuppa
K. T.
They have made the store very spacious and still staying to all the guidelines for Covid.
Staff very friendly and helpful, especially in the meet & greet gentleman on the door, Cafe staff and checkout staff.
It's quite calm before the promotion tomorrow but nothing the staff can't handle.
The management should be so very proud and grateful for all the hard work the ground staff do each day.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the flooring in the Ladies Toilets.
J. T.
Much cleaner and brighter looking after the refit they've done.
Still great bargains on lots of ranges of clothes.
Staff are always superbly helpful, especially woman and man looking after Leading Labels who helped my son and I find some good deals.
J. D.
Nice clean well organised.
Very pleasant staff.
Got what we needed.
O. A.
Have nit been fir ages. Good choice of shoes. Liked it
T. H.
Not very busy, but that was helpful, as it allowed us quickly to get what we needed and be safe.
P. M.
I have not been to Boundary Mills for quite some time due to the pandemic and lockdown. The store has undergone quite a revision. It is now so much more airy, bright with a feeling of spaciousness compared with the old model. The same substantial range of products is still available
L. G.
Over the years I have had many bargains from boundary Mills. Got all my pans there. Bedding. Shoes and bags really good price.
S. R.
We went here for a cuppa because we hadn't known the store next door had closed down.
T. L.
Much improved shopping experience, though the cafe service was very slow
C. B.
Love going there they sell clothes. bags shoes bedding lights and lots of things very helpful staff
M. O.
I'm always a little overwhelmed by the size of this place and the seemingly illogical layout. Perhaps a floor plan would be useful to refer to to identify where things are.
B. L.
My wife loves the place. For me the target customers are older females. Found the menswear difficult to find any discounts that I cannot get else where. The cafe is expensive for the limited choice that they have.
If you are a over 50's couple with a wet day to fill then you could do worse than visit here. Younger people looking to start their 2st home would find most of what they need but check the prices.
S. D.
Good shop with good staff who no how to treat customer s
H. C.
Have been going since it first opened. The new look is great and even husband is impressed! Much lighter, more open, some old lines gone and new ones introduced. Will be back, obviously!
Looking forward to having a coffee there again.
The staff are consistently friendly and helpful.
The Coopers
p. w.
Excellent shop everything you need is in the store except for food stuff
R. N.
Majority of clothing and shoes are designer and expensive, home and housewares are also expensive.
Good coffee shop
S. W.
Good store and cafe with a wide variety of clothing and home furnishings. Bit surprised by the cafe still serving food in little boxes, I know it's Covid times but give me a plate please.
M. L.
There seems a lot of space as I believe some stock has either been removed or sold. More room to walk around and glad the restaurant was open. Had a lovely lunch and everything was kept clean. Good systems in place
B. J.
The store is set up to be covid friendly and nice and light and airy.
However having found a lovely coat for my wife, it became a nightmare at the till, where the assistant discovered a security tag which she was unable to remove. So off she went to the warehouse to have it removed.
Having waited 15 minutes she returned to announce that she could not sell the coat because they were unable to remove the tag.
What a way to run a business!
H. M.
If you have never been before, like me, expect to spend a long time shopping. There are savings to be made, but don't expect this to be huge as it's buyers are buying stock available to them by savvy high street brands.
My best tip is to question the staff on the products they are responsible for. Their knowledge is impressive and they can help you discover if a brand is available or if not then a brand very similar.
Very basic food available in restaurant due to Covid restrictions. OK for people just wanting a cup of tea and a bland sandwich.
My impression is Boundary Mills has the more elderly client’s heart at interest. Which is good. Wheelchairs are available, it's easy to negotiate one around the stock. Plenty of disabled parking.
S. “. B. B.
Very organised with COVID-19. Loved taking trolley round the store, plenty of room for it and also helps my hip problem. Some beautiful things to buy or browse, some pricey some alright and a good sale on at the minute. Only downside is most of the clothes are very old fashioned didn't waste time over there. Had a cake and a cuppa in cafe, reasonably priced and super organised. Didn't like that the toilets were way over beside the lighting department and not beside the cafe. All in all would recommend this store with very very friendly staff. I bought aftershave, bathmat and a very large China mug. Will go back soon. X
c.
Good shop for old people not as much children though but adults can get clothes too. There is a big car park too
J. R.
Great that things are opening up again and they had their sale on. Was a bit confused when entering as the layout, flooring has changed although I'm sure after a few visits I will get used to it. Homeward etc as fabulous as ever and staff very willing to help you. Still fab prices and so much choice.
K. H.
My wife and I found Boundary Outlet a fantastic place to shop or have a meal in the restaurant area, enjoy visiting the store
D. M.
This store seems to sell everything for the home. Can't fault the staff or the store it was pristine when we were there.
S. T.
Some stuffs reasonable, some well expensive. Kills a bit time browsing about
L. L.
Very disappointed. First visit in quite some time and really looking forward to it, but sadly left quite quickly. Unfortunately a number of staff were coughing loudly and whilst not their fault, lack of tissues, or attempts to cover their mouths made me feel quite unsafe 😔
W. C.
Have had a revamp looks bright now. Plenty of stock some bargains but a lot of end of lines that will be hanging around for a long time. Lighting department is amazing
r. h.
Great place for clothing and household items, top names and brands .
B. L.
More spacious now it's been refurbished.
Lots of goods overpriced for a discount store
f. f.
Good parking, with disabled spaced
Store is stuffed with items, BUT the disabled section has GONE!
Which was a shame since I specifically went there for a couple of things.
Rest of the store is filled as usual. Some great bargins.
m. m.
Well organised shop, plenty of room for distancing and sanitation. Helpful staff. My mum loves to shop there and occasionally I may buy something too.
D. D.
Shopped for 2 hrs, loved the place......Great products cheap prices
B. “. b. N.
Been changed around not as cluttered, easy to get around the store
l. k.
Been a while since I have been and I was pleasantly surprised. A more open look and feel now . The dated restaurant is now modernised and welcoming . Read my good experience x
H. T.
Plenty of choice to look at and buy. Can be expensive. Good toilet facilities.
L. M.
Plenty if choice in home fashion gift departments. Nice cafe. Warm welcome at door from staff who show you trolleys and hand sanitiser
g. w. E.
Good parking, pleasant staff wide aisles wide of stock reasonably priced
P. B.
I dont think that there is any bargains to be had ?? Same items are available in Newcastle city centre perhaps a bit more competitively priced.
J. B.
Nice new shop and lovely staff too
R. M. (.
Bigger, brighter and fancier now, with much more selection.
K. J.
Even in the sales it's a pricey place but good quality stuff
I. A.
There's various stores within, from kitchen to mens, womens and children's wear.
C. T.
Always love to visit this store. Today there are fabulous full length dresses from £10! Say yes to the dress! I buy dresses regularly with that special occasion in mind.....good to have as go to peices...fitting rooms are now open and well managed. I bought two smart wear tops today for under £15!
T. H.
It's very handy if you want new bedding
V. M.
Shop here regularly, plenty of choice and cafe is pleasant.
E. L.
Love browsing in this shop, so much to see. Had refreshments in cafe, very clean, tables wiped after customers left. Notice put onto table stating do not use this table till sanitised.
P. D.
Well spaced out for social distancing, a few of the brands have gone but its still a good place to go for bargains & BB's cafe is as always excellent. Get your self back & enjoy, the staff are always keen to help.
P. W.
Lots of good bargains to be found, well worth a visit.
S.
Great place with so many brands under one roof
J. S.
Went for jewellery, but seemed limited to one supplier. Silver plated.
S. R.
Store has had a facelift and is very light and airy with more space to look around. Appear to have some new suppliers too - still plenty of bargains to be found!
P. H.
Always worth a pop on when your passing.
Got sone great little oven gloves been looking for 2 years online.
They had them
J. 1.
Some items quite dear, but a lot of choice..
J. R.
This was an unplanned visit and oh I wish I'd had more time to look around as lots of sale items. Looking for a quick bite to eat, we noticed they had a cafe and popped in. Lovely bowl of soup and a sandwich at a reasonable price. Staff very pleasant.
On the ground floor there were lots of reduced candles, diffusers etc and I picked up a couple and headed for the cash desk. Unfortunately there was such a long queue I had to put the items back as our time was limited. Another time I hope.
R. G.
Great place for a bargain, ranging from Denby, Port Merrion in China, kitchenalia, shoes, handbags, clothes, household linen. They have everything, and a cafe for a lunch break. This is a good place to take an elderly or disabled person because it is much easier for them than city shopping. But borrow one of their wheelchairs, the place is huge and tiring for anyone who is a bit infirm. Factor in a tea break at their caff!
C. R.
Visited the store last week bought new curtains staff are always on hand asking if u need any help the gentleman on the door greets u with a kind word and smile the store is well set out well done to you all
J. E.
Love to shop here, great customer service
P. B.
Love the new flooring . Makes the shop look so much brighter , lots of space to shop , bought some more of the lovely bedding . Good quality and fair prices . Staff pleasant and helpful , will be back soon
J. M.
Vast store, lovely staff very helpful good prices, well worth since last visit place has had a makeover which is good only down side a lot of goods are not available that were there before
J. G.
Typical Boundary Mills. Appears cheap but not necessarily so. You probably need to take plenty of time in making selections. Shoe department is a favourite though.
S. H.
We're both in wheelchairs, so shopping is difficult....but not at Boundary Mill, Newcastle. Car parking is free and plentiful and the store is all one level, perfect for disabled customers. The Coffee shop and toilets are spotlessly clean and easily accessible.
A nice point here, they sell a range of disability aides that you just don't see in other shops.
We spend a lot, mostly on bedding, kitchenware and clothes. The stock quality is very good and they keep a good range. The assistants are friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. They have great product knowledge and will willingly check their stockroom if you can't find a size you require. We really can't praise these people enough for their hard work and patience, especially over the Christmas trading period.
A big thank you to all the lads and lasses and all the best for 2019
A. C.
Not one for big outlet stores. But it's fine. Found books and Christmas paper. Tons of stuff just not for me.
S. K.
Looking for wedding guest outfit but nothing to choose from!! Nothing formal enough 🤔
F. L.
The staff where amazing so helpful helping me with my mum who in late 80 who needed wheelchair , thank you making Christmas shopping enjoyable
O. A.
Love buying bedding and kitchen stuff here. The shop is a little stuffy and usually very warm. The tills are very busy and usually the worst part of this shop. Somehow it needs to be quicker. I'd suggest tills for 5 items or less.
Doesn't help that the boundary Mill can only be used with signal, and there isn't any inside. There is free WiFi apparently but takes forever to set up and not ideal for their average age of customer.
Stuff is usually at very good value.
s. i.
Wonderful and massive place to shop for things you definitely need and also see things you still go for and purchase because of their qualities, pricings etc ... great varieties of items, clothing, kitchen, home, gadgets, brand names, etc, etc etc ... some items could be a bit pricey, but overall their pricings are very competitive ...
C. C.
Lovely place, lots of household items too. I wasn't go to buy anything today but came away with 4 pairs of shoes and a cake!
G. P.
Very well organised, plenty of choice, and they sell Wrangler and Lee, at reasonable prices, good coffee shop.
B. W.
Less good quality at good prices than it used to be - but worth a visit, just not as long a one
C. F.
Good store to visit. You can always pick up a bargain or two. Grab a coffee or stay for lunch. Great when the weather is not so good.
A. A.
Upon visiting today, I applaud the stores use of easy to understand one way systems, signage and guidance regarding social distancing and COVID19 hygiene. On the other hand however, this is rendered useless when the shoppers in the store appear completely unaware or unwilling to follow it.
The store was very busy with a large queue across the entrance way making it very hard to keep socially distant and safe.
In the cafe, the people behind me in the queue tailgated me and would not remain even 0.5m away from me.
The selection of goods and the value is as always, good however i won't be returning based on being unable to keep distant from others and the lack of enforcement (or even kind reminders) from the staff.
I really feel sorry for staff actually as they must be constantly having to dodge people to do their job safely.
Sadly also the coffee is really not great which is such a shame.
B. W.
Our first visit won't be our last! Having just discovered this store we went specifically for shoes and boots and were amazed by the choices available at very reasonable prices from makers such as Pavers and Sketchers. Wish we had more time to explore the rest of the shop but we will be back as soon as lockdown is over. Oh, and they have a nice little cafe too. Top place to visit.
A. W.
Its a long time dince i visited this store. Its had a complete makeover, new flooring, new lighting, everything spaced out, doesn't feel claustrophobic. I will definitly return more often
J. B. K.
Disappointed, haven't been for some time but the standard of merchandise isn't as good now.
J. G.
Long time since I visited. Not so much stock as before however lots better as shoppers don't have to hunt around or fight through displays. Easily visible
C. A.
Everything under one roof, what more could you want.
Love the sales on designer clothes.
Restaurant has improved, food and service loads better.
Great parking and helpful staff.
D. L.
New layout, not so frustrating to get around now
T. M.
A good discount store a wide range of products for the home and clothing. Things have changed a bit as now the aisles have widened to allow for more social distancing
M. H.
Great place for shopping at bargain prices.
P. R.
Pleasant enough and boy did I feel young again. At 54 I was the youngest customer in the place. But bought quite a bit of lighting at a good price and had a coffee in the café, which was somewhat old fashioned but functional. Toilets at back of store clean and smart. Member of staff helped me carry some stuff to the car as my trolley was over full (they are not very big)
B. B.
Greatly improved since the layout of the store has been changed. Always good bargains to be had. There could be improvements in the cafeteria.
J. B.
Excellent choice of Christmas presents and merchandise . Clean café and toilets . Good customer help and service .
D. D.
Fab shop. Ordered curtains for the bedroom, staff couldn't be more helpful. Popped into the coffee shop for a quick cuppa, very nice coffee and super hot choc with all the trimmings. Great parking right next to the store. Tonnes of household and clothing goods to browse
e. d.
Massive selection of clothes and household goods
C. G.
Friendly, helpful store. Went to get dress and shoes but I always struggle to find comfy shoes that look good. Found nice sandals, but too big. So shop assistant checked my actual size and went hunting for me, found perfect pair. 35 mins to browse and buy!
R. G.
Great & huge shopping facility. They've got a great range of pretty much whatever you want!! Nice cafe. Great parking
A. A.
A discount department store with good range of clothing and shoes (although for for particular age group - older rather than younger). Other sections have less range to choose from. Sometimes offers extra discounts to "members". Good parking. Coffee shop gets very busy during "discount events".
M. d.
This a great shop for many things. Bought boots and other items Live in Mallorca with we had one over there
M. H.
Didn't have what I wanted but a nice place to visit and browse. Plenty free parking and also has disabled bays close to the shop.
P. F.
Great selection of products, all in one place.
Very well laid out, to be able to move around safely.
F. H.
Nice a light shop with plenty of choice
S. K.
All good. New layout makes nagivating the place a lot easier.
W. C.
Store layout now is a big improvement
A.
Ryan (floor assistant) went out of his way to give advice and help (not just to me but others). Beth (check-out) was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Both gave excellent service "with a smile"! All this plus a fantastic range of good at amazing prices. It's always a pleasure to shop at Boundary Mills.
L. M.
Good value for money. Need to know brand you require rather than the item.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing seems too much trouble. No matter how busy if you ask for an item they will stop what they are doing and escort to the appropriate area.
I have found baking items that I have not found an anywhere else.
T. H.
Great place for house hold shopping, very cheap high quality
K. M.
Big changes since I was last here
A. C.
Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of kitchen utensils/ cookware and bedroom linen. Rugs. Clothes and shoes. Seasonal wear/goods. Luggage. Yankee candles and other scents, pre-packed confectionery. An extensive lighting section. Worth a trip!
R. S.
Got what we wanted but sorry to say this was the second time we've used the cafe and it was very poor.
C. M.
Great for clothes no service and in went he cafe all the tongues used to pick up food wete lying right on top of food...i pointed this out the guy agree it wasn' t gud..let's wait and see
T. N.
Very interesting store with good quality goods. Plenty of free parking and a nice cafe style restaurant inside
P. V.
This is a weird place.
Is a "Mill Store" a thing or is this unique? I don't know.
Anyway big selection of shoes. Crafty things and hobby supplies. Extensive selection of glassware and kitchen stuff.
Constantly having "sales"; I assume to create the impression that you're bagging a remarkable bargain every time you go, but.... It's not that cheap.
L. M.
Amazing store, so much choice and so much to offer. Great discounts. It’s easy to do a big shop in one place instead of multiple shops and queuing. Staff were helpful and took our items to the till so we didn’t have to carry them around. Loved the place!
L. K.
Massive selection of clothing plus shoes, household plus cafe.
S. B.
Lovely customer service the cashier was so helpful
N. D.
Like the new layout! More room to manœuvre arround. Spot on!
J. M.
Newly refurbished and items all well spaced out staff are always very friendly and helpful. It's a nice coffee from the little cafe too
D. W.
Wonderful coffee and a fantastic food beautiful bag and clothes I wasn’t too keen on the prices the prices were quite expensive let me put it that way
M. C.
I visit here once a month with my elderly disabled friend. It enables her to shop for her requirements under one roof and enjoy a cuppa after. Keeps her in contact with reality. Toilets are not so good.
s. S.
Great place for household goods clothing hand nags perfume shoes etc end they have a restaurant too
R. W.
Cheap and cheerful restaurant for food. Nice selection of things
J. L.
I felt very safe here with the increased spacing between all the clothes and other items.
f. m. (.
nicely laid out store , felt very safe .Cafe well stocked but staff alittle abrupt !!!!
A. C.
A great local outdoors shop with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Where we can, we should support our local shops!
Updated 1-Sep-2020: For some reason the great and mighty Google has changed this review from the Great Outdoors Superstore to Boundary Mill Stores - just to clarify, this review is for the Great Outdoors Superstore!
R. T.
Great, if you're a certain age
I. C.
Helpful staff and shop is bright and airy they have spaced the rails out so you don't get close to people and the tills were staffed well so you didn't have to wait long in the long queue
M. C.
We visited this store on Sunday 19th January, although this is not our first visit I can honestly say it was our worst, the music was really far to loud and for someone suffering with a brain injury it made my shopping experience very unpleasant, I found the music very overwhelming. I know not everyone who visits the store have a hidden disability but I do think that the store management should take this into consideration when playing music so loud, although we did purchase a couple of items, I just couldn't wait to get outside away from the noise.
P. T.
Loved it . Very spacious and not over crowded.
Amazing bargains on quality goods. Staff pleasant and very helpful. I will be back.
C. K.
Lovely quality clothes and smashing staff. It's our new favourite place to shop
I. G.
Fabulous place with the most helpful and caring staff, all of whom know their products really well. Very customer focused at all times; professional, friendly, and always have time for people.
Especially impressed with Sue Simpson who could not have done more regarding a a query. Many thanks for all your help.
This shop is always worth a visit as the standard never drops.
F. A. J.
Lots to see, and so glad it's all under one roof. Good value in every department.
M. M.
A good selection of goods but the cafe was not up to much.
S. D.
Much improved and a good range of items. Easier to browse now.
C. S.
I'm generally in favour of places where staff are helpful, but it can be a bit overbearing at Boundary Mill. At the moment, I think this is partly due to it being quieter since the reopening after the COVID lockdown, but there's only so much help one can receive when choosing new bedding before it becomes intrusive. In its favour, the necessity for social distancing has meant the store has been spotlessly clean and less cluttered on our two recent visits. The queue for the tills is where these good intentions get shot down unfortunately, with other customers' perception of safe distances being a bit hit/miss. The plethora of last-minute purchases that line the lengthy queue area is a trigger for the less-aware shoppers to meander rather than focus on queuing and adhering to the separation of the 2m lines! (Seriously, how much of their sales are made up from sweets and socks?!!)
L. B.
Wonderfull staff, only negative it was cold in the shop even in cafe area had to sit with coat on while we ate.
L. E.
Always enjoy shopping here.Always go home with something.Sell a big range of things
B. M.
Great shop with just about everything you need and a nice café as well
M. G.
Very pleased with our visit, certain to go here again
O. D.
A large discount outlet very popular with coach trips. Plenty of car parking. Good kitchen and bedding departments. Very large branded fashion and shoe departments for men and women. Gifts ideas for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and babies. It's definitely a place to wander round , perfume, jewellery, branded handbags, luggage, scented candles and each season is catered for at the specific time of the year. There is a large cafe to take a break in providing hot and cold food. They also have a members scheme , extra10% discount days are offered with free tea or coffee. A nice day out popular with the over 50's age group.
A. C.
Great place to shop for good quality stuff under one roof
P. W.
Cafe now open, great deals on ladies shoes (says my wife). Building quite cold, but some good prices on menswear especially Gabicci but limited selection of sizes.
C. B.
Great shopping place, full if bargains, aimed more at the mature generation and larger ladies section than male by a long way, fantastic range of wedding type clothing for mother of the bride, all with matching accessories. Cafe on site and large free car park. Ladies will love it
B. W.
Greeted at door by s charming gentleman made us feel so welcome all staff absolutely wonderful especially the lady on yy tills who put your app on my phone
P. S.
Very helpful & plentiful staff. Managed to pick up everything we wanted & a few more with thd bonus of 10% off. Cafe was busy so we gave it miss this time.
E. O.
Got everything I wanted but could not get my curtains ha e to go on line so I will have to get some one to do it for me
D. B.
Always a bargain to be had. This is not a place for the young and trendy but if you're of a more mature age you will appreciate the clothes and fashions. They have a range of clothes from Roman to Anna Rose. Handbags - really good deals on Radley, Paul Costello and Osprey. Shoes from Pavers. Men's suits and shirts t shirts and jeans. They also do homewear, curtains and bedding, light fittings, pictures and mirrors, ornaments, trinkets, cups and cutlery, candles biscuits, chocolates etc. The cafe is ok. All right for a cuppa and a light bite but a restaurant it is not and it does get very busy at times. All in all I love this place to go and have a good mooch around and if you need something for a special occasion like a wedding.
P. D.
Went with a friend an i bought a lovely Sanderson jacquard quilt cover. Not only was there 70% off but a sticker on with a further 10%. . Plus I had a voucher with another 10% off an free coffee for 2 which we enjoyed with a lovely cheese scone. Wot a bargain an a lovely time browsing around the store. With so much to offer for the whole family. Everything from household items, home furnishings, lighting, prints , pictures & mirrors from Parrazzi. Also good choice of fashion from day wear, nite wear to a wedding outfit. With good choice of shoes, handbags, also nice range of jewellery. Not forgetting shirts, trousers, suits, socks & shoes for the men.Even sweets, chocolates, cakes, nuts, spices, jams. Lovely range of gifts ,inc all kinds of glasses, dinner sets, mugs, beautiful cutlery , assorted candles, incl yankee.Would highly recommend. 😆
D. S.
Good choice of smart clothing for men and women. Gift ideas and soft furnishings as well as kitchen department and some garden accessories. Cafe pleasant and good standard. Toilets are clean and staff are helpful.
J. W.
Bit old fashioned but nice once in a while. Lovely kitchen tools dept nice cafe.
D. M.
New and improved. A much better shopping experience. Love the space. It is now suitable for wheelchair users.
L. L.
Great selection of all sorts,.....great shoe department (all sizes)....it was an expensive shop ....but you can find items in the sales which there was on when I visited in the clothes section , it was very pleasant and staff were helpful......good car parking....there is a restraunt /cafe.
M. S.
Lots to interest under one roof in this discounted outlet. I visited at about 4.30pm and it was very quiet. Sales assistants outnumbered shoppers, but it can be busy during the day. There is a wide range of shops here, everything from cooking utensils to shoes so best check website for details. There is a coffee shop. Big free car park and large disabled car park. I found the piped Christmas music a bit intrusive and annoying. Successfully bought three presents so pleased with my visit.
G. G.
Good shopping,big improvement in shop
Layout not cluttered which makes it a much better and easier shopping experience.
M. M.
You can now get Cragghoppers and Regatta and Dare to Be clothing here with excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. Cafe is also excellent would highly recommend a visit.
T. G.
Good range of stock, difficult to find individual items, staff very helpful.
A. M. C.
Lots of choice so need time to browse. Good for a relaxed shop and a cuppa in the coffee shop.
G. A.
A big store and good choice of items. Always good service too.
C. H.
Huge selection of everything. Prices are not bad. Cafe there aswell
M. B.
Offers so much in one place, spoilt for choice and also nice reasonable food
K. H.
Fantastic shop. You can spend hours just browsing. Well worth a visit if you haven't been.
M. I. C.
Most of the sales floor staff were all in groups gossiping, they scowled or stared at me when I was going to ask a question, like I was interrupting their private conversations. They would have sold more today if they were more helpful.
E. F.
OK cafe not too busy today as everyone wait for spring sale starting on Thursday 12 March 2020.A better selection of gluten free snack would help they had a choice of two biscuits for ever !!! - both very boring
N. M.
Very spacious, really good assortment and the staff isn't pushy. Definitely coming back.
J. S.
You have a wide range of goods here, staff are nice and friendly and will help with any query you may have
S. S.
Large store, 80% ladies clothing and fashion, mens ware a bit scarce. Other stuff includes China, kitchen ware & bedding. Christmas early September. Most men bored within 10mins, if you like browsing then great.
J.
So many different outlets under one roof, staff are very pleasant and helpful, accessible entrance, toilets and changing rooms, the only difficulty is getting around some areas, so many items it can be difficult for wheelchairs or pushchairs to navigate safely. The coffee shop BB's has various food and drink options, there is a cash machine just passed the main entrance and a perfume shop. Returns are taken at the tills near the entrance as well as purchases. Worth visiting, it is a vast area to cover looking around, so if you need a wheelchair and didn't realise, there are some manual wheelchairs just inside the main entrance.
P. S.
Good place to shop. I always seem to get everything I need.
S. M.
Should be sponsored by help the aged. Average age of shoppers must be over 70 if not nearly 80
M. G.
It's the sort of place you are certain to find something you like they have bargain evenings with some sort of refreshments for the members of their mailing list they are free but the cafe does nice meals for anyone at reasonable prices, ample parking.
M. G.
Very good shopping . Plenty variety and a nice cafe
R. B.
Good range of stock always enjoy visiting . Good parking and nice size cafe . Always friendly staff.
L. M.
Staff are very over baring. I said I was fine and needed nobhelp and continued with the selling and I wasn't interested. I enjoy shopping with out interruptions. And found it tedious at the end. Good range of products and it wasn't as busy as I though especially being 4 days before Christmas
R. R.
Great store goods for the home and clothing also there is a cafe inside great selection of all items
K. P.
The shop is great for lots of things either household or clothing can't fault it but the only thing I can say on the downside is on more than one occasion the same member of staff on the Roman Dept. Is gossiping to other members of staff and even on the phone. She isn't very discreet or quiet either. There is a time and a place but not in earshot of customers.
C. E.
I go here regularly. Lots on offer and has a coffee shop. Would definitely recommend.
S. B.
Great service and staff. Good cafe and variety food choices.
K. B.
One of my favourite places to shop and has a great café
K. H.
Always looks and feels like a quality traditional department store. A vast range of clothes, electricals, household items and much much more. Large restaurant/cafe in-store. Worth a visit.
M. H.
Fabulous outlet and nice cafe
L. M.
Good sale. Went in for socks and came out with a huge bag full of stuff. Throws, curtains, scarves, gloves, and a lamp. You name it - they sell all kinds of things. Sales staff are very helpful.
I. H.
Such a selection of clothes and wares. Helpful staff. Nice and bright. Good cuppa from the cafe too
L. H.
Shop does not open till 10am
Has an older clientele so caters for that age group
Its overpriced and you can pick exactly the same items elsewhere much cheaper
Always busy however so must have something to offer
Cafe is nice however if you can get a seat...
E. B.
Really good celection of goods I am sure most people will come away with something coffee needs improving
D. H.
Great choice in shoes and kitchenware. Lots to browse through, from sweets, to crafts and candles. The only reason why I couldn't give it 5 star is because the linen is a bit pricey.
W. R.
An excellent shop with a good variety of items
A. O.
Everything you need under one roof and the cafe was nice and clean and staff was quick with clearing and cleaning the tables
l. d.
Got served with out any hassle lovely
T. G.
Well should I say my wife loves it. I only go along to have a look at the kitchen gadgets. It is a great place to spend a couple of hours . Lots of choice for the home and the lady's, the men can always go for a cuppa in the cafeteria.
J. H.
Spacious, light and airy.something for everyone. Coffee good too.
B. W.
Nice place, friendly staff, stock most things.
E. B.
Great experience, certain lady assistant in the women's department went out of her way to get me the right attire.
J. C.
We went for bedding, the staff were very helpful, I explained what I wanted and she showed me the options, she understood the reasons why I didn't want to pay a load of money out for a quilt cover and gave me a cheaper option.
J. D.
Always a bargain to be found in here. I just wish there was one near me so my only visits were limited to visiting family.
V. D.
Great prices, helpful staff, cafe & free parking.
J. K.
Clean and felt very covid safe. Lovely welcome when you arrive, spaced out queues and was actually pretty quiet today too!
P.
Huge store with wide range of goods including homeware and clothing. Some good bargains to be had, particularly in the sale. On-site café and toilets. Queues for tills can get quite long at peak times. For returns, remember to go to customer service desk at left hand corner of store, not main tills. Remember to register for 10% discount card.
L. F.
Pleasant venue with a good range of clothes, shoes and small household items. Radley handbags at excellent prices and gorgeous bedding. Café is adequate and offers basic food at a reasonable price. Great parking facilities.
J. B.
Not much stock, disappointing visit
M. C.
Huge store with a great variety of goods. Also has a cafe. You can browse all you like. I don't think there are many people who leave empty handed.
j. a.
I support a lady with learning disabilities and when out having lunch we can find it a challenge finding something to eat for her. I was shire more store and alan the cafe manager couldnt of helped anymore than he did making her something suitable to eat . I cant praise them enough also very friendly...
T. W.
Great place to visit. Plenty of different franchises. Mam loves it especially on a Sunday morning when she can get a croissant and coffee free between 10 and 11.
L. m.
Good choice of items at great prices
C. M. B.
The challenge - its not great to get around if you have mobility issues. Wheelchair or walker. My mother struggled with small.aisle and staff loading products. It was hard to get in and look at clothing or find seat suitable for trying on shoes. Car park was quite water logged by the crossing which was not helpful with walker trying to cross slow and safely.
The Good - helpful staff in luggage and curtains / soft funishings. Managed to get just what I needed.
The Bad - appauled that i found a pair of shoes full price which i liked but they had fault in leather. one she had obvious flaw on the front. Staff took them to find another pair appologised this was the last ones. Ok did not want them as they were obvious fault on front leather and it was for an interview.. Staff took them put back in shelf. I asked why they would sell something with obvious fault amongst full price goods and not note problem for another customer. Not interested.
The plus size clothes was like a jumble sale. Section with evans clothing. Looked sad as no other part of the store especialy the mens section would look as bad as this. Hard to find anything and correct sizes. No staff around.
J. W.
Love The new 9 00..opening Time..love The New floor covering..so much easier to walk around..well done..
T. T.
Had a short time in store as I only wanted a sheet always enjoy going
S. F.
It is a very good place go shopping in nice restaurant
C. H.
Brilliant store, with lots of fabulous products for sale. Got some good bargains including big name brands. The coffee could have been better in the café though!
J. G.
some things were dear and others were very reasonable great bargains in some departments but saying that it was fantastic
T. H.
Nice store ..plenty of goods good selection shoes handbags and lots of other goods..plenty of car parking..staff bit stuffy and long queues at tills
E. B.
Lots to choose from and some great bargains - thankfully added more cashiers as the queues were getting long. Car park was easy to use. Very accessible.
M. H.
Excellent varied range of quality home and clothing brands at really competitive prices. Need I say more.
A. W.
It would be even better if they could provide gluten free food and cakes in the cafeteria.Friday they had a lovely gluten free carrot cake! That was a nice surprise! But sadly. they don't always do that.
D. N.
Great range of products, and some genuinely good bargains to be found. I was buying crockery. The only negative is the crocker aisles are a bit tight when wheeling an adult in a wheelchair through them.
A. D.
Some good bargains but it's like some sort of pensioner hell. They even bus them in!
G. W.
Seems to be targeting was much older clientele but good levels of stock all round
u. j.
Has everything you can think of. Excellent prices
l. a.
Some lovely household items but I do think theyre all very overpriced...if they lowered the prices a little I believe they'd attract more age groups ie the under 65s
There must be so much lost revenue/business here through a pure lack of imagination.
Cafe food is pretty bad by anyone's standards...anytime i visit boundary now which is normally only when were looking for a wedding outfit we mostly only have a hot drink as the 2 or 3 times we've had a snack ice sadly had to return the food to which the staff really couldn't care less about and never surprised either and that's quite an alarming attitude to me.
Example we visited 2 days ago and the lady in front of me was quite annoyed at her partly cooked potato and the dirty cups and was insisting on clean unstained crockery but there wasn't any clean enough ? Our cups both had brown rings around it but ?
A. M.
Excellent shopping and suitable for less abled as all on one level
F. D.
great selection of goods ,friendly staff and well worth a couple of hours brousing....not cheap and the seconds in pottery you can buy perfects from the makers cheaper online in some cases...
L. T.
Great bargains especially in the handbag and shoe departments....to top it all a free coffee with our voucher! Brill! ☕🛒👗👜👠
D. B.
Great shop, a lot too see, better to browse the extensive range without kids.
S. T.
Good shop if your older otherwise the staff follow your round as if your uptown something
E. L.
Good prices on a wide selection of clothes, shoes, kitchen goods, bedroom fabrics, gifts etc. Also somewhere for a cuppa while you're at it. Plenty of parking.
F. D.
Good large department store large cafe they do have special offers if you join their loyalty scheme
R. T.
Amazing mix of goods from pots and pans ,clothes, ornaments, bed linen etc,etc well worth a visit.
J. H.
Cafe very poor sun the 29th August came all the way from GATESHEAD very disappointing staff on shop floor brilliant cafe needs looking at
P. K.
Great choice of household goods, decor & clothes. Good café with good choice of food & drinks. The whole store is on the pricey side, which will lose some custom.
A. C.
Brilliant store lots of high end products at reasonable prices
L. A.
Love shopping here. Lots of choice ,very friendly and helpful staff.I wish there were tills for the disabled as I find it hard to stand for long.
S. W.
Huge retail outlet, caters for almost every need, spacious cafe offering quality meals and snacks. Good discounts on clothing and homewares. Staff helpful and with good product knowledge.
J. W.
Properly supervised outside and in. They have rearranged displays etc to allow more space for people to shop with no hassle. Staff very friendly and helpful.
D. F.
Great place to get a bargain.
S.
If u think saving £40-60 off of a £200-250 jacket is a good deal, then you'll love it. Me not so much, only reason 3☆'s is because wor lass and me mother like it.
A. H.
Fully refurnished to high standards
M. S.
Superb, very nice buns but I could not eat every day a bit sweet
J. S.
Packed with lots of quality clothing but difficult to look round as quite haphazard. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Can't go to coffee shop as doesn't do soya for coffee
G. D.
I always need to save up to go here 😂😂I go for one thing and spend more as there's always that little extra unusual and different thing you see
E. P.
Had a lovely visit and bought some Christmas presents. Also had lunch in cafe, wild mushroom soup which was very nice.
M. E.
For men's clothes there is quite a lot of choice here and some of it at reasonable prices (and some pretty expensive in my view). Staff were helpful. I bought 3 pairs of trousers.
D. A.
Excellent store too much stock at times. Good cafe gets regular bus trips of pensioners from far & wide.
P. B.
The staff here were far better than the Flag Ship store, we told them they should go give them some training! So friendly & not stood talking to each other.
j. m.
The new layout is very nice
N. C.
Very good. Can be very busy at times and hectic, but you can get some good discounts. You have to hunt through the racks though as items are not displayed. I like to go in evening when it is quiet
W. P.
Excellent for men's clothing. All top brands under one roof. Always plenty of bargains. Staff in abundance if you need help.
T. M.
Nice place but cafe not as good as pre covid. No real hot food available.
A. B.
Full of old people with nothing better to do. Prices not all that cheap. Quality questionable. Queue for the tills stupidly long. Aisles too narrow. Not my favourite place
j. p.
Good outlet some bargains to get
J. B.
Nice store good product bit expensive but nice to look around
M. H.
It's one of my favourite stores . I've just learned that the range of hotter shoes are being discontinued on March I'm absoluted gutted. I can't understand itl
A. M. E.
Love this shop really good value and fabulous bargains. Something for absolutely everyone no matter their taste.
M. A. H.
Nice large store. Lots of items to brows... sadly they didn't have what I was looking for so left without purchasing anything.
C. H.
Spacious, relaxing atmosphere to browse to your hearts content, including a cafe and well kept toilets. The department store still lives!
S. S.
Great prices lots to choose from plus they have a restaurant too. We went to buy Farah trousers the only place with good prices for these trousers. Thank you Boundry Mills.
J. W.
It's a fab store but the clothing floor needs more organising . .It's very haphazard and hard to locate just what you want. However I always manage !!
The floor assistants are very helpful and will help you look and offer advice.
I. A.
Good sales, nice selection of clothes, shoes, ornaments, bedding kitchen things. Nice to check out whats on offer and have a cup of coffee in the cafe.
S. D.
If there is such a thing as a jumbled shop floor layout........this is it, but the plus side is well stocked ......A one shop covers everything approach. Ample free parking and a nice on site cafe. You can spend hours browsing at this store !!!!
V. A.
Very helpful staff , especially Patrick in the suit department , a lady in Roman ( should have got her name ) and the girl on the checkout . Nice reasonable prices in the cafe too . An enjoyable shopping experience
P. D.
Great place for clothes ( provided you are a woman) loads of womens stuff and some mens gear. Most fellas will probably sit in BB's cafe and read a paper. The staff are all friendly and special mention for the girls on the Chappelle counter. They always say hello to my Mam and me when we come onto the shop. Lots of cganges but still worth a visit. Also BB's cafe is excellent
m. j.
Brilliant selection of goods. I felt safe and the rules were adhered to with plenty of public service announcement reminding people to socially distance.
L. C.
I was a bit disappointed I went for a hat for a wedding and was expecting their great selection. However there was poor choice of styles and colours. Hope they can improve as they looked sad and tatty!
J. C.
The fashions are a bit dated buy they have some ok items in bags and purses. Also a good but small discount perfume shop but with limited stock
A. N.
Good selection of everything for the home
M. S.
Got some great bargains for Xmas, and went cafe, food was lovely
J. R.
Lovs this place very friendly relaxing place to shop and have lunch
J. M.
Massive place. Lots of choice. After scouting around several places for wedding suits we finally got sorted here. Very good prices as well. I will be returning at some point.
C. B.
Great cafe and lots of choice with in the shop it's self
J. W.
Large shopping outlet with lots of discounted designer brands a must for female shoppers gents are catered for but are as usual pushed to the end of the store when will retailers learn our pound is as valuable as well as our clothes cost a lot more also has a wide range of bedding and kithenalia and lighting has a cafe but a long wait at lunch times and a haven for the over 60s but we'll worth a visit if you like good clothes at a discount price
R. T.
A store where everything is under one roof. Very good on house goods, bedding, pans ect.
M. L.
Unfortunately having to where a mask spoils the shopping experience as quite hot and stuffy.
Still have a good range of clothes and household items with friendly staff.
D. W.
Massive shop in Shiremoor good choice and a very pleasant sales woman who gave great help and advice on the shirt I bought
J. G.
Staff pleasant and helpful. Security staff went out of way to help and ensure we knew how to get best offers.
P. M.
Vast selection of items at a resonable price
J. H.
A good shopping experience for clothes, shoes, kitchen ware, bedding, linens, curtains etc etc.
D. B.
Love this shop, there is so much choice and the staff are so helpful.
L. C.
Lot of clothes, shoes, handbags, crockery, pans, cutlery, stationary and cards, sweets, nuts, scented candles, gardening things and perfume. There is a spacious cafe and the toilets are smart.
M. H.
I happened to be in the local area so we had a visit. I can only describe it as a vast warehouse type establishment selling all-sorts of homewares and womenswear. It seemed half the warehouse was dominated by womenswear that I could not see where it ended in the horizon. For some reason I kept thinking the range and style of goods on show reminded me of "midsummer night murders", a bit on the twee side.
R. T.
Great store, good discounts on big brands. Slightly disappointed by the choice in the cafe, but it was tasty enough. Would definitely visit again and recommend for shopping trips.
L. F.
Very large warehouse style of shop. Everything from spoons to saucepans to sheets to scented candles to shirts to socks and shoes. There's a café if you're hungry.
D. S.
I am a regular visitor to this store and nearly always find what I like and at very competitive prices the floor staff are very helpful the store is always clean the toilets fresh and the food area always kept to a standard that makes me happy to take a seat and relax after following my beloved round the store searching for a bargain
D. J.

Remodelled internally this year like they do in supermarkets to keep you on your toes and freshen up the experience. Been a customer for several years, everything is high end branded labels at good, reasonable or even cheap prices on occasions. Products sold are kitchen goods, womens and gents clothes, shoes (Pavers, Hush Puppies, etc), Perfumes, candles, bathroom accessories, lighting fixtures, confectionary, greeting cards, books and branded bedding. Join the email list and get advance warning of sales with extra 10% off with invites to special events in the nice canteen. Cashing out may have large queues but they operate many tills so delays are minimised. Browse to your hearts content, no pressure from the staff. Car parking is ample. Highly recommended. Not far from exit from Tyne Tunnel.

Lovely shop and cafe but need to have more tills to pay for things as queues can be very long at times.

If you want to go for outdoor ware and shoes and accessories and tent's and camping equipment it's perfect for that as I go there for when I need new gear for fishing and I go next door as that's got the house hold items and special offers for other items and they have all sorts inside and that you will be amazed when you go inside what is in it and there is a good bus service and you are not far from the metro station and you have a free carpark outside the shops and the disabled one is just as you go into the main carpark and outside the shops and restaurants

Good selection of products on sale, a few bargains to be had right across the store. Coffee shop ok, but not a place for a decent cup of coffee.
