R. P. P.Been here on a few occasions.
Don’t really think much of the clothing but they do really nice handbags and shoes.
Had a few orders to pick up in store. On one occasion a lady said she’s get it for me and never came back. I waited was a good 10 minutes and then had to ask another girl for my parcel which she got I minutes.
The other lady came out eventually but didn’t batter an eyelid. I saw in her face what she thought but I don’t have time for people who can’t do their job properly.
Another time my partner asked for a pair of shoes in size 9. They gave him 8. When questioned they said that’s all they had. Customer service really needs updating.

L.Please clean the dressing rooms River Island - honestly this level of filth from fingers can only mean they have not been cleaned for years and had THOUSANDS of hands on them - this definitely can’t have been safe during covid! While here yesterday I also was stabbed by an object while trying on some jeans - I reached into the pocket and found an open security tag had it’s pin sticking into the jeans. Very lax! See pics for proof.

The place is off standard size, wasn't huge back enough to cater for Men, Ladies and Kids which was great to see.
Staff were perfectly nice.
E. N.I was looking at some trainers ( I tried only one pair and put them back). As I was by the mirror one of the staff -young, slim brunette girl rudely said to me as I quote “ like are you like trying them all or something “?? And pointing with her finger at few pairs of shoes on the floor about 3 metres away from the mirror where I was. If she was observant enough she would have noticed that someone else before me left them there. I was disgusted and left. As a retail worker, her only question should be “ can I help you with anything?” and I would definitely feel more welcome. It’s a shame as I purely went there to get a pair of jeans but I went to another store instead. I won’t come again !!
