Ordered a Barbour jacket online at a great price with free shipping. Arrived the next working day complete with a returns envelope, just in case. Jacket is a great fit so overall very happy. Will certainly order from here again.

What a gem of a shop great clothes, fantastic stock of barbour clothing at very reasonable prices, fixed my mate up with a suit tailored to size within the week. The owner is very thorough and a lovely chap. Proper shop with great staff.

A super gents outfitters with a very small ladies "tops" section. Super friendly staff. A good choice of ties to trousers, shirts and suits. They do alterations to all the items if required.Well worth a visit and parking is free on the rd or market place.

After browsing the internet looking for a particular Barbour jacket, I came across Charles Hobson. Not only was they the most competitive priced there 5 star reviews was another reason I chose to purchase from. Knowing Barbour jackets normally run a little bit small I ordered XL, it arrived next day but unfortunately was too big. I returned in exchange for L, this process was easily done and extremely quick. Extremely happy with the level of service I received and will be sure to return for future purchases.

I purchased a Barbour jacket online - the website was very easy to navigate, the product arrived promptly on time and was pristinely packaged. My five-star review, though, is mainly for Mr.Hobson himself, whom I spoke to on the phone to get some advice on sizing: he was helpful, courteous and was very kind in offering a free return if the size he recommended proved to be inappropriate; an old-school gent and one whose customer-service has made me a new fan of this shop.

Just ordered a jacket from Charles Hobson, wasn't sure what to expect. They delivered next day (I hadn't paid for that service) it came with a pre-paid returns bag (which I didn't needed but was a nice touch), and they used DPD and gave me regular delivery updates. Can't fault them and will be very happy to use them again. And the price was really competitive too.

Visited here for the first time from Durham. What a fantastic experience. We were greeted by Chris, brilliant and knowledgeable salesman, and must have spent the best part of an hour looking around at the vast selection of high quality menswear. Needless to say, my dad treated himself to a jumper, a sleeveless pullover and some bonny red braces. Over the moon with his purchases. This place is a tardis of a shop, with a far greater selection of clothes, than I was expecting from the outside. Great selection of clothes at very reasonable prices (although there is a sale on at the moment). Staff were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning when looking for something for a night out.

Brilliant customer service! I placed an order Friday 16/11 rang the store to confirm and arrived Monday 19/11. Was too small so sent back Same day and rang store to confirm alternative size was in stock which I fortunately wasn’t till later in the week however to my surprise the following day Tuesday 20/11 I received confirmation DPD would deliver my item Wednesday (today) 21/11 and it arrived as planned. Charles Hobson’s is a smart and classy shop, with professional and personal service from the employees. The shop has a simple layout, with shirts, knitwear, coats, underwear, socks, and more around the front, then continuing on around the back with suits and jackets. They offer a ‘made to measure’ and ‘mix and match’ service on suits and jackets, so it’s pretty much guaranteed you will walk away with perfect fit! The shop also offers a tailoring service to alter clothing to the correct need, however they only offer this service with clothing bought from the shop. As well as the physical shop, they have a very well organised website which is an ease to navigate, with competitive prices on their Barbour (men’s and women’s) stock, with prices even cheaper than enterprises such as John Lewis! All in all, Charles Hobson’s is a brilliant shop with great service and employees, definitely worth a visit! P.s. They even offer complimentary refreshments to top of their already unique service!
