I had a wonderful experience shopping for my Mother of the Bride outfit at Molly Browns. Helen and the team were extremely friendly and helpful, and offered great advice to help me choose my perfect outfit. After being spoilt for choice with lots of lovely options, Helen was able to suggest a couple of different dresses that I wouldn’t have thought about myself, and I completely fell in love with one of them! She was also able to demonstrate a great choice of lots of different coloured hats to help complete the look! My daughter and I were very well looked after, and felt very relaxed throughout our visit. I would highly recommend Molly Browns to anyone looking for that special occasion outfit! I can’t wait to wear mine! Big thank you again to Helen and the team!

The outfit was delivered by Royal Mail next day, packed beautifully. Especially pleased to receive a hanger and dust cover, makes all the difference to keep things "nice”- very much appreciated. I went here to buy an outfit for daughter's wedding. As soon as I mentioned I had a budget which was in the hundreds not thousands the lady assistant was clearly not happy about this I think if I had said I could spend whatever she would have been a lot more enthusiastic. She appeared not to be very happy about been at work I did get a dress but would have been happier if the sales person had been more enthusiastic.This shop has some lovely outfits if you have plenty of money.

I would just like to share my positive experience of finding the perfect Mother of the Bride outfit at Molly Browns in York. I was visiting York from Edinburgh and popped in to Molly Browns to get some ideas to wear at my daughter's wedding last month as I was informed that they had a wide choice of outfits in store. I was warmly greeted by Dawn who assisted me in finding the perfect dress along with the matching accessories of hat, shoes and a bag. I can't thank Dawn enough for all her expert help and advice and for making the whole experience of choosing such an important outfit a very pleasurable and stress free process. She helped me to look and feel elegant on the day and I received many lovely compliments! I certainly highly recommend Molly Browns to any future Mother of the Bride in helping them to choose their perfect outfit for the big day.

I cannot recommend Molly Browns - Mother of the Bride and Bridal enough. I had to re-arrange my daughters wedding four times over many seasons due to Covid/lock down. Because of this I held back purchasing an outfit which would suit the season. I kept my eye on the beautiful dresses with jackets sold by Molly Browns. As soon as I had a confirmed date I ordered online. My chosen outfit arrived beautifully wrapped and in perfect ready to wear condition. To my surprise as a plus size lady the dress and jacket fitted perfectly. The service was wonderful and I would and will be using Molly Browns for special occasions in the future. On another note this is the first dress I have worn in many years and felt like a million dollars. I had lots of people asking where I purchased my outfit. Thank you Molly Browns

Molly Browns had this in stock, ordering was very straightforward and the dress was delivered within 4 days, nicely packed and complete with a dress bag and coat hanger. I visited today 8/5/21 had a very enjoyable visit,they allowed me to take my two daughters in with me to start with.I was served by Helen who was lovely asking me what I needed and had I seen anything on line first.My daughter Jennifer went with her to choose some dresses for me to try after telling me some styles needed to be tried and not to worry about the sizes as some were small fitting.After I actually found the dress she then brought me shoes and fascinators to try on and advised the colours of accessories. I took my mum to Molly Brown's on Friday to help get her an idea of what she would like to wear for my wedding next year. She had been really nervous about getting something so I wanted to help her relax. We come to York every year and always go into the Molly Browns shops so it was only right that we went there first. Well, what can I say other than they were absolutely fantastic. Angela, the manager, helped me set up the appointment via email and even helped me to arrange a card and some flowers to be presented on the day to help my mum feel extra special. On the day of the appointment, it was Carol and Sheila who were in the store and who helped my mum find her perfect outfit. Carol was so wonderful and really knows her stuff. She helped my mum relax and, even though it was supposed to just be to have a look, my mum ended up picking her outfit and putting down the deposit. I have honestly never seen my mum so happy and confident in something she was wearing and she was absolutely made up, there were lots of tears and hugging and she left looking, and feeling, like a million dollars. Sheila then very kindly took us all to the Prom and Evening wear shop just up the road so that my adorable niece could try some dresses on as she was absolutely desperate having been so patient whilst my mum was getting sorted out...and we ended up coming away with her dress too!! The whole afternoon was so wonderful and special and the ladies at Molly Browns couldn't have been more helpful. It was so worth the trip and I highly recommend all the staff and all the stores if you have a special event coming up. We are so excited for the wedding now and will definitely send a pic when the day comes around. Thank you again ladies, you are wonderful!! Anoushka & Mum xxx

As a first time customer of Molly Browns I can't recommend them enough. The customer service was second to none. The range of mother of the bride/groom dresses was amazing. It was very difficult to choose the outfit I liked the best. The lovely ladies who worked there offered good constructive advice and helped me to make my choice. Hi, I'm not quite sure how to go about this, but just to say that I booked an appointment with Mollie Brown's in York for yesterday at 4pm with a plan to buy an outfit for my son's wedding on May 8th. I arrived an hour early hoping that it would be ok and the lady in the shop made me feel so welcome. Her name is Dawn and she could not have been more helpful. I tried a few outfits on and finally found the perfect one with the hat to go with it. I always find this sort of shopping a bit stressful but she guided me through it seamlessly. This is the second time that I have bought a wedding outfit from this shop but this time I thought it really was worth a mention about the excellent service I received from this lovely lady. Regards. This shop is lovely and had a great selection of dresses, we found not one but two that we absolutely loved and it was hard to choose between them. Dawn is a total pro and having the benefit of her experience and expertise really made the difference. We arrived at this shop a bit depressed after our previous experience at wedding dress shops, and left overjoyed with a beautiful dress at a great price. Highly recommended!!

I don't have a Google account so writing under my husbands account. That being said, I just want to rave about your store. I make trips almost once a year to York from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, and I ALWAYS make a point to stop into Molly Browns whenever I visit. My first visit was in 2015 around Christmas time and bought some earrings for myself which my daughter "stole" from me, LOL, and then last summer I bought the most beautiful summer top for my mother in Florida which she absolutely loves , and then this year I purchased a scarf, earrings, and another blouse for my mother for Christmas for this year! I have ALWAYS received excellent service when I visit and I wish, wish, wish we had a Molly Browns in America! You have the most beautiful clothes! I think when my youngest daughter gets engaged in the future, I will have to travel to York to get my Mother of the Bride dress! Hopefully I will be returning again next year! We dropped into Molly Browns on the off chance they may help my mum find an outfit for my wedding. We were greeted by Dawn who was just fabulous. My mum is very self conscious, and was dreading it. Dawn assured mum she’d find something for her, and showed mum a few dresses which she agreed to try. As we went to try them on, Dawn suddenly pulled one more out, which was beautiful. Mum tried that one first, and she cane out beaming. She loved it...and said for the first time ever, she felt beautiful. When Dawn suggested a hat, my mum immediately said no and said they don’t suit her. I asked Dawn if she thought there was one which might suit her, to try on mum. And, again, Dawn surpassed all expectations and found the perfect hat which finished the outfit perfectly, and mum loved it. Mum didn’t stop smiling that day, and we can’t thank Dawn enough for her service, and making my mum feel amazing. Thank you

I attended Mollys in November 2019 when I went to York for a weekend with my daughters. My daughter is getting married this year and unbeknown to me had booked me into Mollys for a look and to try some dresses on. I am not usually the kind of person who enjoys being fussed over so was must uncomfortable at first, however very quickly Carol put me at my ease and eventually did a Gok Wan on me and got me into something I would never have normally chosen. I fell in love instantly and paid a deposit intending to go back for a few days with my husband thisApril. Sadly due to Corona it had to be cancelled but never the less less the staff in Mollys did me proud, and both Angela and Ben ensured between them that my dress was parcelled up and posted out to me. I cannot praise or thank them all for their friendliness, professionalism and kindness. I would definitely recommend
