Don't let the out side put you off, the coffee is strong and the cakes were delicous and very reasonably priced. The young girl serving was very friendly, the only thing against it is the brightness if the seats, but it doesn't really matter.

A really great pit stop before or after a beach trip. Good food and easy access to the beach. Service was quick and friendly, the place was clean and the indoor/outdoor seating options mean it’s possible to take the dog on a hot day (bowl of water was provided) and sit outside or sit inside with little ones if the weather’s not so great. Good choice of ice creams too.

I stopped by for a takeaway coffee on my way to the beach. There was a good distancing one way system, the staff were lovely and helpful and the coffee was decent. I also got 2 home bakes, which were delicious. For 2 slices and a coffee, it came to around £6, which I thought was reasonable. Update: we returned here and the coffee was, again, lovely and great value!

Stopped for breakfast after a walk & swim at Balmedie beach. Warm welcome & dogs welcome in outdoor seating area but not indoors. Full breakfast was freshly cooked,2 sausages,bacon,hash brown,beans,egg & toast. The veggie breakfast looked good too. Water & biscuits for my dog too.

Nice cafe which is in the leisure centre. Not sure why it’s called beachside as it’s not next to the beach. Nice choice on menu and reasonably priced. Wasn’t able to use the toilet facilities as there was no lock on the ladies toilets.

Stopped for a rest on way south from Peterhead. Couldn't find anywhere on the main road so had to take a detour. Glad we did. Beautiful home made soup, nice staff and fresh clean environment. We 'll return if We are up that way again

2 excellent visits. Hard to find places that do decent jacket potatoes. Theirs where excellent. Lovely looking cakes, would like to see something for vegans. The Buddhist Chef has great receipt for vegan banana bread plus cakes. Atmosphere was friendly great staff

We enjoy visiting Beachside Coffee Shop, reading through previous reviews from customers I can comment honestly with many visits over the years behind us. The coffee shop does not have a beach view , though the beach is a 5 minute drive from the location, this deceives some visiting customers expecting a beach view hence their negative comments . A large free open car park with plenty of spaces on site is shared with the local community centre, can be busy at times though I have never had a problem parking at any time . Inside the Coffee Shop , is a large open layout with great natural lighting, many tables to choose from with additional seating outside that is dog friendly and a joy to eat outdoors when the weather is right . Great Covid measures in place, though when busy I observed many issues that made me uncomfortable , not by the staff though customers interpretation of the guidelines, hence we did not visit again for over 5 months . Prices are on a par with similar local eatery’s , food is freshly cooked , I always enjoy their home made soup , fine fresh filled sandwiches , see photos attached of the lunchtime snack I ordered Wednesday 8th September 2021, home made lentil soup , chicken Mayo on whole meal bread with a 330ml bottle of still water x 2 , total cost £16:70. Staff are friendly , chatty and welcoming , swift service with a smile . Summary. Good friendly service , food is always fresh , prices are ok , friendly staff, great parking , spacious , plenty of seating opportunities , cake and oven bake selection is always full and available , though I feel some lines have a long code life . Table clearing can be slow ,today 4 tables lay uncleared for the duration of our 40 minutes visit , not the first time I have witnessed this though I feel it’s down to the staff schedule , we visit usually 11:30 - 12:55, to be fair the tables have been cleared quickly on other occasions . A kids menu is available , well priced and enjoyed by many , used to be a kids area to play as you waited in your meal though now removed , probably due to Covid though frustrating when visiting with little people . Finally . Well worth a visit if your out and about Balmedie way, we continue to visit and will do for a long time to come , hope they do not lose focus on mums with little ones needing respite and a place to chill and chat with while little ones play .

This coffee shop is combined with a leisure centre. The lady who served us was really helpful and friendly. 'er indoors loved the chocolate slice, my cup of tea was good too. Choice of tables or lounge sofas for seating. Cosy atmosphere.
