Bacon butties for lunch outside in the sunshine. Nice coffee. Lovely view of the lake and surrounds. Bacon was good and plentiful. Bread was not special otherwise 5 stars. £5 per sandwich

This is a lovely place to grab a coffee or snack while walking round the lake. The staff are always super friendly to my children and the elderflower and lemon cake is amazing. With regards to prices others are complaining about. We paid £13 for a flat with a double shot 2 scoops in a tub, 2 cones and a huge slice of cake. That's reasonable to me, especially since the cake is homemade which is hard to find nowadays. Lovely staff!

Great location in priory marina, with a large decked outdoor eating area (the inside is a bit crampt. Nice food, helpful staff & surprisingly good coffee. However the menu claims to have vegan options when it actually doesn't. They could also speed up the queue a bit by having the cakes labelled so every customer doesn't need to ask

First visit dropped in for morning coffee and bacon roll 😄 very clean cafe with seating in and out with nice views our over the lake staff very friendly and welcoming and the service was quick. .... bacon roll was excellent 👍

Lovely park and cafe looked lovely too but seemed quite expensive and choice of ice cream was poor for a park. Was with young children and they didn’t want the scoop, was after their usuals like Twister and Minimilks and I would have liked to get a Magnum. Wife had a scoop and said it was tasteless. Coffee I had was lovely though.

This is a nice little cafe situated right on the lake. Good food at the right price so not the usual rip off. Very friendly staff and clean toilets too. Bonus. Seating inside and out with plenty of space to tie up the pooches or bikes. Overlooks the lake so you get a great view too. The ice creams looked lpvely but we didn't try them on this occasion. Maybe next time.

Friendly staff but café overpriced even though the food was lovely. Ice-cream service chaotic as they got very busy when the ice-cream van broke down! Toilets not very nice. Lacking loo roll in the ladies.

We came in on a very wet Sunday for a hot chocolate. Very good service and they even replaced a hot chocolate that one of the little ones knocked all over the floor. Very accommodating to families, and wonderful food and drinks.

Some cafés have an ambiance or people or food that make them stand out as somewhere special. Others are OK. There's nothing wrong about them but nothing special either. Coverdale is one of the latter. It's OK. The location is convenient if you happen to be near. The drinks are the standard fare served in the standard way. It's not far to the Longholme but, if you are there and thirsty, it's OK.
