Food is good as always. Little pricey but a good selection on the menu. The drinks are also very nice and have a verity of iced drinks. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave it a very good atmosphere and always checked up if you needed anything. Better customer service than some posher placed ive been imo. Definitely will visit this branch again.

Went to chaiiwala Soho Road for the first time and was welcomed by a Waleed and Manfusa. The service was on point and when asked what we should have they informed us that the desi Breakfast is the one to have with the Karak Chaii. We also had the Halwa puri. Well done guys will be back

I visit regularly and I go with friends. It’s open very late and it’s a great place to just drop in and chill out any time of day. Most of the time the food and drinks have been great. A couple of times there have been minor issues, a cold hot drink, messy tables and floor, a Nutella wrap overdone. When mentioned the staff have always fixed the problems. I have to say that over time the atmosphere has changed, the music changed, the type of customers changed that’s what I think anyway. I feel like the younger and possibly more inexperienced staff have a lot to do with that.

Just good! Obviously you need a place where you can get desi flavour and sometimes you can't have your breakfast ready at home, so I appreciate their efforts. Portion is a bit smaller than you expected. Good atmosphere, fast service, that's it. I would definitely be back if I don't have my breakfast ready at home. And definitely it's a halal cafe.

First time in the Soho Rd one. Had to wait 20 minutes for the pink Kashmiri tea but we were informed of this right away and it meant a fresh batch so that was great. Place could have been slightly cleaner between customers but maybe they were busy earlier. Liked the music and atmosphere as usual. Staff were nice and tea was lovely!

Thank you guys for all your help. The shop was different to what I know as this Shop was well presented the interior was nice and the music was refreshing. But today I visit thereafter around a week with my friends. “Today we have been served by Raman and she truly offered a good service.”The way she serves the customers and gets the orders with her smile that gives a wonderful impression to the customers. The chaii and chips were great. We really did enjoy that today and the time that we spent there.

This is just down the road from where I live and I popped in here recently with some friends for a refuel. Phone battery was dead so couldn't Google search - so popped into this venue as it looked good. Very nice clean establishment with pleasant staff. Excellent karak tea/ coffee - one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere , good authentic Indian street food with exemplary service. A young lady , whose name I can’t remember (mahzam) or something was an absolute gem and deserves massive compliments for her service , recommendation and for showcasing exceptional interpersonal skills. Not very happy with todays service. We ordered 2 pav bhaji, 2 kadak chai, mogo chips and milk cake. The pav bhaji and the kadak chai was a dissapointment the chai had so much elaichi and no sugar in it the pav bhaji was just terrible the portions have gone so small won't be ordering it again.

Brilliant food, the location is good too. The space seems somewhat small for the amount of customers the have I think that's just down to them underestimating the success of chaiiwala. Such a simple and brilliant idea, well executed. The staff were nice however one person who served me was on the phone for quite a while, whilst serving. Average Asian (Indian/Desi) tea shop. Nothing amazing at all. There's a lot of hype about this place but seems like the only reality is that it's a new concept for some local people. If a similar competitor opens up they'll struggle.. The interior design of this place looks good. Modern, clean and airy. Their branding with their design concept is consistent. Breakfast food was OK, medium spice but nothing amazing. Parata and baked beans with no proteins for the same price you'd pay for a big fat English breakfast at other places. The other down downsides... Food portions are small in comparison to what you pay for (breads and vegs). If you eat out you get a takeaway paper cup and if you eat in you get... the same takeaway paper cup! The desserts are simple and cheap quality. The ice cream has a powdery and cheap texture. The tables are close and cramped together. Overall, not too impressed and most definately is a hyped up new concept for the locals. On a national and international scale this is a one/two star place.

Still the only place to go for karak chai and traditional Indian street foods. The movie chips are a must order as is the falooda. Pau bahji was a bit disappointing. This place is usually busy and sometimes difficult to find seating particularly if you are in a larger group.

Heard alot of people hype chaiiwala so was excited to go for the first time, went just before 4pm so it wasn't busy just a few people inside, lady serving was just taking phone call after phone call, when the food came the masala fries were cold at the top and slightly warm at the bottom. Falooda was okay I just prefer it with thicker semiyah in it for texture. My friend ordered a few.things to go and as it was getting busy we decided to just wait at the counter.and the lady was just.going back to her phone calls.

Visited for lunch with my sister. First impressions looks nice and contemporary. Was reasonably busy primarily due to location. We orderd x2 pav bhaji, x1 kebab roll, chilli mogo chips, bombay sandwich, approx £20. Service is quite hit and miss our table was covered in the last customers left overs. The food in my experience is pretty poor, bombay sandwich was full of melted cheese it was flooding out and pav bhaji lacked flavour. Kebab roll was decent but tiny, mogo chips were on point and the cup of tea was ok. Would i revisit? No. Value for money? No. Service quality 5/10.

A good 'go to' when you want something small and snacky. Their karak chai is my fav, but if you drink desi tea at home normally, you might not like it. Desi breakfast is nice to have at any time of the day. Nutella wrap and omlette wraps are exactly that, nothing more nothing less. Imagine a shana paratha (the frozen ones you get in the supermarkets) with some nutella spread over it.

I'm giving This Chiwala a 5 Star rating because I believe the lady who is also the supervisor named Harpreet served me so well, she was rushed off her feet by cleaning and maintaining hygiene on the tables and serving out the food yet managing to take orders and displaying beautiful customer services professionalism.... When The Somosa Chart came it tasted great and the Pink tea was spot on! Harpreet kept checking in making sure all was OK and if we needed anything else, she even went and got us napkins... At least there is professionalism here unlike chuckys chippy's owners they go behind your back and backbite about strangers once my mate caught them the young chav aged 20-23 rectangle beard short skinny man gave him dirty look randomly when my mate was eating at their backstreet dump, when my mate confronted him he asked him to come outside so no one can witness the threats and gave him a mouthful of sickening threats saying he would shoot him absolutely vile and sickening coming from business owners, Allah will give justice on Qiyamah we wont ever forget that day.

I visited Chaiwala today and we were served by a kind young lady called Kajol. she recommended some popular cold drinks to us as I am used to buying a hot karak chai but as the weather has been warm lately I wanted to try something new! We ended up trying out the Iced pink chai, the rose falooda and the iced karak chaii. All of the drinks were a hit and definitely something i'll come back to buy again on a hot day or just when Im feeling something sweet! she was lovely, kind and attentive to my toddler aswell as just me. I really appreciated this so much! My toddler had a nutella wrap and he loved it. He's a fussy eater so it made me happy to see he ate all his wrap. Thank you for your service Kajol. I was really looking forward to visiting, but in all honesty I left quite disappointed. The tea itself is wonderful, would definitely visit again for tea, but food was rather lacklustre on my visit. Not sure of this is because it was very busy though. I took particular exception to the paneer, which while portions were very generous was not the right balance between pieces and flavours. The relish was very sparse so felt like a lot of eating dry unflavoured fried paneer pieces with no sauce etc.

Three stars purely for the food and tea which was excellent. However, the customer service was disgusting. It seemed like he was the "manager". He was rude when I was making my order. He literally threw my plate of food on to the table and forgot to serve us our tea. After approx 40mins of waiting I asked where my tea was and he very defensively said "fine, I'll get it in 1minute" there was no apology or explanation for the delay. Get rid of him if he's not the owner... If he is the owner he needs to learn some people skills.

Masala chips were cold and dry, and service was not the best, number got called, I had my order in 3 separate portions. Wasnt happy as I had to keep going back and forth to ask them if the other part of my order is ready. Couldn't fully enjoy my meal for this reason. They weren't busy, which makes it inexcusable really. 2nd bad experience from the same branch. Last time they have me half a mint leaf in black tea and told me it's mint Tea. Haha. Best part is - Chaiiwala is open until 11 pm and serves kadak chai & coffee until last order taken. Chai taste is good but not outstanding (it is my personal opinion). However, good to grab a cup of tea or coffee with Asian flavour. Quantity of chai & coffee in single serve is higher than a day to day intake (same was the feedback of my friends who went along with me), so do check while placing the order. Overall - do visit for quick chai/coffee and snacks. Hope it helps!!

Usually enjoy my visits to chaiwala. However, I was very disappointed when I recently visited your branch on Soho Road. The opening hours are stated as 9am- 11pm. I got there at 9:50pm and was told there is only tea available as the kitchen is closed .Therefore we could not purchase our usual favourite which is the nuttela crepe. It won't stop me from visiting again in the future, I was just dissapointed that the kitchen closed a whole 1 hour and 10 minutes before the shop closed. 😪😪😪
