This is a nice place to come to for a meeting, hang out with your friends or just to be by yourself. The surroundings are calming and relaxing and the music is not to load. The only thing is the variety of coffee is the same as every other commercial coffee shop I've been to and it tastes the same to. The staff are nice, professional and some do make conversation as they serve you.

Not as large as the Sutton Coldfield branch, but still, it feels exactly like its sibling. I love the historic, comfy lounge interior. Its difficult to extract from it. The staff are awesome. They deliver excellent quality coffee.

A coffee Chain serving great quality coffee. The staff are extremely friendly and the quality of coffee was really good. Was nice to be able to have two different options of coffee blend. The seating is really comfortable and nice relaxed atmosphere. It is great that they serve a gluten-free and dairy free cake option ( black currant crumble ) and lots of other gluten-free and and vegetarian options. Would be great if they had more options for gluten and dairy free or vegan cakes/biscuits. Was served very quickly and service with a smile. Will definitely be visiting her again. Thanks

Last time I gave this location 5 * it was based upon its qualities as a coffee shop and due to the excellent customer service and management. Today ..like on a previous Sunday afternoon I went there to unwind... unfortunately my ears were almost bleeding. They allow an amateur musician on an acoustic guitar and banjo to practice what seems to be his X factor audition where he would definitely achieve 3 massive XXX NO NO NO within the first 10 seconds . It is a complete racket. torture! I I can understand having a musician to add a touch of class and to be innovative...but in this case it is just someone stunning on his guitar his own songs ...not even complete tunes ...just practicing and tuning his instrument as he goes along . Worse than the a poor standard street busker! Sorry but just being honest. Reviews are intended to provide honest feedback. This place is otherwise probably the best coffee shop I have come across. Allowing it to be utilised as an amateur jamming session is not great!

My local lunchtime haunt! The staff are fantastic and we always have a chat if they're not too busy. The atmosphere is great, with comfortable chairs and enjoyable music. The food is tasty, the drinks are (in my opinion) the best in Kings Heath, and the prices are reasonable. I'd always pick Coffee #1 over anywhere else to spend my lunch break.

I'd prefer to see more independent coffee shops locally. But at least with a chain you know what you're getting. And the staff here are always really friendly too, service with a smile and chat (if you want)

They have coconut milk and oat milk available, and the dark chocolate brownie triangles (vegan friendly) are delicious. Giving away coffee grounds for the garden is a nice touch and typical of their friendly approach.

In Covid times this is a good choice when meeting a friend or two (if allowed!) as it has more tables than most and plenty of space in between. Queuing system is good and hygiene protocols are adhered to by staff. More generally, the drinks are very good including choices of coffee bean and a range of juices and health drinks. Cakes all look homemade (but I haven't tasted them all by any means). I think the choice of savoury food for snacks and lunch is too small and too pricey.

Amazing place for stop with friends.Food is amazing and alright price. If you want coke and things it's like Costa over priced however it's a really good place to go because it's a coffee place and the coffee isn't overpriced. You have nice big tables so you can go in there and do work. My friends and I did a maths study in there. It's a big place so not claustrophobic. They workers are so kind and friendly. The place has a toilets one for all and one for disabled so you can stay there for long and not need to worry.

My family and I visited Coffee#1 a couple of months ago for the first time. The shop is located in a prominent location on Kings Heath High Road and is easily accessible by shoppers, local residents, workers and school children. The decor is very rustic and the warm welcome we received made us feel homely and so we settled immediately. One thing, I immediately noticed was just how clean and pristine the establishment was. We ordered our coffee and pastries at the counter and then proceeded to sit down within the comfortable surrounds. The lighting is subdued, which helps to add to a relaxed ambiance, and there are a selection of books which also help give a quiet library type of feel. The cultured crowd keep very much to themselves and this allows for a family friendly experience. The espresso and cappuccino drinks were excellently brewed and the pastries were impeccably baked. both my children had soft drinks (coca cola in glass bottles) and the prices were competitive. There is a wide selection of hot beverages, soft drinks, juices, pastries and snacks to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit with the nice environment, friendly reception and high quality coffee and snacks. l and professionalism of the 'Baristas'. The place has so much character to it, compared to the soulless high street chains. There's even a decent sized outdoor area with adequate seating and good quality tables. I'm sure to return soon with my family, as we are all now genuinely smitten with the place.

The chain of corporate coffee shops is becoming more of a bore...the same interior, the same logos, the same dreary staff (sometimes) and I'm sorry to say the same bland coffee...🤔🙁...!! From now on if desperate then use lower end corporate like Coffee #1 but avoid fake itilanao & seattle versions...! And go independent!! Search for up and coming fledgling businesses and support them instead...😉
