Best dessert place in the UK. The items on the menu are very unique and bring joy to the taste buds. Not only desserts but their hot drinks have a unique flavour. it's a must if you want great tasting desserts and want something different. Love this place!

Pros: Extra Sitting up stairs, food was big enough to share. Tasted great & the presentation was amazing. Water machine available which was good as you get a sugar rush & need water. Once you get the hang the app it is easy to order. Buliding was easy to find. Cons: poor welcome/ customer service , blunt unhappy looking staff, not enough napkins or cutlery given when your meal comes. Confusing menu in regards to extras, & availability in store to what’s been shown social media, would of been nice to speak with staff about the menu etc. £29 for a milkshake, waffle, extra ice cream & meal. My honest opinion & 3 star reason: We entered the shop with it being a surprise for the kids they entered saying WOW WOW & super excited. We stood at the front for about 2/3 minutes no staff welcome or interaction. I then approached a very unenthusiastic staff member asking can we sit and order I was told “ sit upstairs “ I was taken back by his bluntness but excited for the food, I then went on to ask is there menus upstairs? Do I order here then sit down? His reply once again was blunt “ you order on your phone via this ( he points to a barcode )” So we went upstairs took us a little while to order as we was looking at the online menu then the photos on their Facebook page. Over all great food, great size and taste, however what really let the experience down was the customer service well lack of it from welcome to end it was just flat big shame.

Luscious chocolate and luxurious cookie dough. A fantastic dessert parlour with extremely polite staff members. Excellent coffee options and tea options too. Only thing is they should offer a boring English Tea for people like my wife who don't dabble in coffee. Also, the large coffees are not essentially large. A small dining area downstairs but a larger one upstairs. Overall... an absolutely gorgeous Chocolate Paradise. After all, STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERT 🍨

Out of this world desserts! We love it here! The Kanefeh was delicious but their pistachio ice cream was soooo good! Everything made fresh to order so it can take a while especially if you have a big order but it is so worth the wait… fresh, hot and delicious!

Visited this place after over a decade. I remember back when they only used to sell milkshakes, was surprised by how much it’s changed. Ordered the baklava pancake and I could not recommend it enough!!! It was so good !!!

Might just be the best desserts place in town. Very original and very tasty. Locoshakes and their sandwiches are probably the best things there, along with their dynamic range of self baked cakes. Toilet facilities and great seating area. Upstairs is perfect for doing work on a laptop, but can be loud at certain times of the day. Cons: Some of the staff could do with cracking a smile here and there - really makes a difference to customer service.

I’ve been coming to Eis Cafe for many years, It’s always busy the wait is abit long at times the service is ok don’t expect to be in out you’ll be waiting for a while for your order. Today I had a strawberry mojito few drinks are as refreshing on a hot summer day as a good mojito. Sugar, mint, lime—Eis Cafe one is ok just like many other places, definitely needed more strawberries & ice in the drink.

Best desert shop in Birmingham, I thought it was just over-rated milkshakes, but this shop truly has a wide range of desserts on their menu, perfected in taste and appearance! I recommend if you tired of the basic waffle and cookie dough of your generic dessert shop. Also, recommend the marshmallow dish you have never had a big halal crispy and melted marshmallow s'more.

Amazing unique desserts. Tastes and looks really good. Instagram worthy food especially the red velvet shake. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are very nice. Not all the desserts offered were on the menu so we found ourselves showing Instagram pictures to the staff when ordering. Ground floor looks really nice and goes well with the theming, I wish the upstairs floor was just as great. I loved reading all the signs and posters on the wall. The mojito i ordered wasn't great however and didn't exceed expectations like the other desserts we ordered. Overall I will definitely return, I was suprised why such a good dessert place was so empty on a Saturday night.

Fantastic presentation for their sandwiches (as shown in pics) and a nice touch with the rose petals and pomegranate seeds but beware the andalus sauce is quite spicy. We ordered the Sahara drink which is a healthy version of milkshake and it tasted amazing. The only thing I would say in need of improvement is the kids meals as there aren't any. There's another floor upstairs for families but otherwise it was fine sitting downstairs as the tables were spacious. Nice decor throughout the place with quotes that'll make you busy reading them. I would definitely recommend this coffee house.

A wonderful place to go for a treat with friends or family. The decor is amazing, shabby-chic style with upbeat messages that makes you feel you've come somewhere special... and you have. Most people come here hunting dessert, but let me tell you, you're missing a trick if you haven't tried one of their sandwiches. You probably won't be able to have a sandwich and THEN one of their desserts straightaway, try walking around the block a few times, it's worth it... alternatively, share with a friend. I recommend the pizzoookie (what happens when a cookie has aspirations about being a pizza, with delicious marshmallow, cookie dough, chocolate sauce and your choice of ice cream (you can order an extra scoop if you are sharing, if you are taking on one of these yourself you're possibly going to feel guilty after, so go alone, without witnesses). I've never tried one of their milkshakes, but I have sat opposite someone who did and they are a thing to behold... they are at least a dessert and a meal in themselves. They also serve speciality teas and coffees, but that's a bonus. Enjoy!

Salted caramel and chocolate brownie with white nutella and biscoff ice-cream. What an absolute delight! The brownies were freshly baked, crunchy with a gooey inside. The decor is lovely but the wait was rather long.

One of the older and better dessert parlours in Birmingham. They serve a good variety of dishes all of which never fail to disappoint. I thoroughly enjoy my Cafe Mocha, in the amazing ambience, amongst the smell of various beans brewing and hustle bustle of what is a magnificent Cafe. I recommend it for anyone who wishes to take a small break and ponder on life, to visit Eis Cafe and indulge in a little caffienation, I am more than positive you won't be disappointed. I also recommend you try the various ice cream flavours, as they are throughly made and taste amazing! One of my favourite spots to go to unwind, ponder and enjoy a great coffee!

Wow, what a feast. Had the oreo locoshake which is just overfilled with a nice crunchy marshmallow on top. Then the muffin took me by surprise, hints of crunchiness in every bite and the sheer size of it can fill you up, even if you have that space left in your stomach. I'll say, the sewing does need to be improved, just too low. Need to be more higher and comfortable, but I love how they're going with their theme. Eis cafe is just the one dessert place you cannot match with others. Just on another level!

No offence to Small Heath, but it's unlikely to appear at the top of many bucket lists. However, a visit to Eis Cafe is definitely worth it. Situated 10-15 minutes walk away from the train station, it looks like a normal cafe on the street. Inside though the decor is really well thought out and is well designed. We made the journey to sample a loco-shake having seen them on social media before, but before our calorific overload, we thought it best to have something savoury. There were only a couple of sandwiches on offer but the fillings were varied and as they are served on forcaccia bread they feel different from a lot of standard offerings. The selection of deserts and combinations was mightily impressive and I'm pleased that we'd set out to have a loco-shake else choosing one style of dessert might have been difficult. They've clearly got a lot of ideas and flavour combinations. We went for a cookie special loco-shake and it was delicious; I'm not sure I'd have too many more in the future but was a great experience. The service was very friendly and the guys serving looked to be enjoying taking the orders of customers and seeing their reactions when the items were made. Service is not instant, but that's because they've got to make it all and that wasn't a problem for us .

Every time I come to Birmingham, Eis cafe is, without fail, at the top of my list of places to visit. I’m always excited to step through the door and be greeted by the warm atmosphere and polite staff. With its rustic decor and walls decorated with motivational quotes, Eis cafe is a unique breath of fresh air in the busy Birmingham city center. However, upon entering the upstairs seating area I realised one thing; there were fruit flies everywhere. As soon as our food came, they pounced. I guess the food is so good that even flies can’t resist it. This was not only unhygienic but annoying, and I hope this is dealt with soon. The table was also not as clean as it could have been, with evidence of stains and crumbs from the previous customer. With such a wide range of items on their menu, they have managed to perfect every one, both in taste and appearance. Personally, the Oreo milkshake is my favorite. It has a perfect level of sweetness, without being too sickly. Overall, Eis cafe gets a 4 star review, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Recommended to try this place out by a friend, I thought I'd give it a go and drove down from Leicester with the other half. Immediately catches your eye from the outside and was greeted by a nice chap from behind the till who explained we can take a seat with a menu, decide what we'd like and then come down and order. Seating upstairs is plenty, cosy and private with the option of leather booths or contemporary table & chairs. Menu was quite hard to read but a quick look through their Instagram and it's easy to make your mind up with what to get, Biscoff Milkshake is definitely worth a try for any Biscoff fans out there. Desserts were all plentiful and satisfying, service was fairly quick and staff are all super friendly, no request is too much and you feel a genuine nice vibe in the air. Decor is nothing like your usual dessert parlours in the UK, EIS have gone for a rustic yet inspirational look, with the artwork and quotes that make you stop and think, they've clearly thought out the customer journey from your first step in to when you get seated. I haven't gone in depth with their desserts because it all comes down to personal preference but what I can say is they put their heart into their craft, each order is carefully presented to make an impression and definitely one you'd love to capture for the gram. Pricing is moderate and what you'd expect from a dessert parlour, if you're expecting cheap corner shop desserts then this isn't for you although there is something for everyone on the menu. Thank you for a lovely experience, I'll definitely pop by when I'm next in town and give the Marrakesh tea a try.

Hard to social distance at counter area. At the very least staff who have most contact with customers should wear masks and/or visors. Unfortunately customers waiting for orders to take away dont have enough space to wait. It was raining. Im assuming customers are told to wait outside ordinarily. Well i hope they are. That being said, I would say that this is the best place for desserts in the area. Theyre unique, creative and more importantly; have been consistently good for years.

TBH,this place made one of the BEST milkshake!!! found them by social media and even a lot of my friends been there before. Much of what they do is produced using imported ingredients so there products always tastes different from their counterparts. I placed an order today of pistachio and peanut baklava with unicorn ice cream and spicy Mexican fajita chicken flatbread. The unicorn ice cream was delicious , the baklava was a big portion downside was could tell it had been re-heated, for me personally the baklava was too warm. The spicy Mexican fajita chicken flatbread was overcooked and the edges were black - however the toppings were delicious.

I have been a loyal customer to Eis Cafe for a few years. It is without doubt one of the best places for dessert and specialist coffee in the Small Heath area. With hardworking, well-mannered staff as well as a great atmosphere and reasonable prices, it is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Just the other day I visited there and ordered my usual coffee. The order was slightly later than normal so they gave it to me for free.

Everything about the place is thought about, i really enjoyed the detail put into it. I'm not often a guy impressed with decor (much prefer great food) but this place was something to talk about. The service was hit and miss though. The guys were very helpful and patient when ordering, but served our waffle REALLY late after the other desserts had been consumed (i reckon they just forgot about it). As for the actual desserts, i'd go back but not especially, you can get milkshakes and cookie dough of a similar good standard in a lot of places.

Excellent establishment to consume luxuriously sweet delicacies and desserts. The customer service is 100%, I've been there many times and can't remember a time I've ever been disappointed in the staff. Ontop of this the desserts are exceptionally unique, their amazingly innovative approaches to quality gelatos and cakes are impressive beyond belief. Words can't describe the sensations your taste buds will experience once they come into contact with the legendary sweet at eis cafe. On top of that we didn't have enough cutlery so when I politely asked for the waiter to bring us some he replied "there's some at the counter" i.e. come and get it yourself, which I found rather rude for a place that was not busy at all. Been wanting to go for a while. There isn't really a menu, so you've just got to read whatever they have randomly placed on walls. This would work better of this was advertised, but unfortunately it wa st made clear. Once we made a decision, we found a place to sit and waited for our diabetic inducing dessert to arrive. I wasn't disappointed when 2000 calories arrived in front of me. This place is not for the faint hearted. They hold nothing back when it comes to sugar and chocolate. Tasted great, but I felt myself reaching for an epi pen, even though I'm not diabetic.

The best deserts anywhere! This is my second visit and I will definitely return every time I visit Birmingham. I had the brownie (you also have a choice of ice-cream (really loved the chocolate). On our second visit, my wife and had the coconut raffaello ferrero ice cream with our waffle (it was amazing). The portion sizes are really good, both me and wife share every time. Ginormous milkshakes, literally insane. I had a massive milkshake and a chocolate-coated marshmallow on a stick had been added on top of the layers of whipped cream. Calories galooorreee!!! What a place! There is extra seating and sofas upstairs and generally there is a really nice vibe bout the place. After many tempations i visited the establishment with my husband 28/10/17, and were blown away by the rustic vintage interior, the cafe is small yet cosy. Apon our arrival we were greeted by a polite gentleman, visit we ordered the fudge brownie loco shake, concrete and custard. We really enjoyed our desserts even took some home with is. The infamous LocoShake. Mr. Nutella with Pretzels edition. As with all similar freak shakes, you really don't want to be seen absorbing this monstrosity. What a mess it makes. Brilliant taste. Fantastic. Instagramers rejoice. Not a more suitable place for the gram. Im going to start with the bad, (of which there is only two points) 1) the waffles can sometimes be a little over done. 2)milkshakes are made with the ice-cream of a product no actual product (although the ice cream may contain not some of it) e.g.a snickers milkshake would have no snickers bar but the ice cream which has snickers in there And the good: ...everything else. Seating is GREAT, Service is freindly Ice cream is AMAZING, Its a little softer than normal proper ice cream which is fantastic so when you pick it you get actual ice cream instead of flavours slyiva which is nice. P.s. I forgot to mention parking, horrendous but not their fault (this doesn't detract from the food quality so I shan't include it in the aforementioned cons)
