Reviews of Faculty Coffee
A. B.
Fantastic coffee the espresso was beautiful the best I have had for a long time. The staff were very helpful even sharing the brew recipe they use on the v60 pour over. Overall was a great experience and I will be visiting again.
A.
Very small coffee shop with delicious coffee and cakes. Staff were super friendly and the music was a real mix, we enjoyed it a lot! We went late on Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy so will be lucky to get a table at peak times. Will definitely return!

Always looking out for independents in the myriad of cafes littering a city/town and this place is a gem. Small, unique, with comfortable seats and appropriate cafe jazz playing.
The pour-over was delicious although pricey. This would knock it to 4* but the rest of the prices were what I'd expect.

This place is always on point. If you want a bucket of tasteless swill, walk on. If you want professionally made, excellent coffee with a sublime selection of confections (amazing vegan cakes/cookies too) then we'll worth a visit.

I'm not sure I've ever successfully walked past the entrance to the arcade without nipping in for a coffee from Faculty. Kids confirm they also do a mean hot chocolate. Coffee has been consistently superb for the last 6-7 years that I've been going. Lunch food also worth having alongside the sweet treats. Nice to sit in too, watch the world go by

Boutique coffee shop tucked away in a Victorian arcade, moments from Birmingham New Street station. Specialty coffee and amazing range of house-made pastries. We had the Lamington and the hazelnut meringue and they were delicious. Well-worth a visit, even if just passing through Birmingham on a connecting train.
J. J.
Amazing coffee in here never disappoints me. The barristas are good at serving the coffe even if it cam be little on the cold side fir my liking. The only thing that is annoying is they love the masks in there and leaves at bitter taste from what is like I say a great coffee to get when in the woke city centre. Will be back again if I can stomach the city which is too off outing these days and not like the old Brum.

Could this be the best cup of coffee in Birmingham? One in, one out. I walked in greeted by two members of staff as bright as buttons. They were engaging and assistive. I could see they prided their jobs. The end product, an oat milk flat white tasted amazing. It hit the high notes.
Taking a look at the coffee products on display they know quality.
I noticed they have seating in the arcade. A great rest bite from the inclement weather of late.
A. R.
We were expecting great things based on the Google rating but the restaurant was super steamy, the peanut butter sandwich was VERY sweet, and the espresso reminded me (bizarrely) of the smell of spaghetti hoops. They also don’t have a toilet.
They did include a glass of water next to the coffee which is always a nice touch, and the staff were friendly.
m. l.
Have only been here once, last June... but thought I would review now as I occasionally still think about the oat milk flat white I had here. At the time it was the best coffee I'd had all year. Sadly I can't remember the staff but was a much needed refreshment when waiting for a delayed train. Will always go back here if ever in Birmingham.
F. P.
High quality coffee and decent selection of cakes/pastries to go with. Small hidden gem of a cafe, one of the best in the Mid-West!
S. W.
Cute little coffee shop in Birmingham's Piccadilly Arcade. I've been here twice. I really enjoyed it the first time when I had a chai latte and a cake, but last weekend my cappuccino tasted burnt and I had a vegetarian breakfast, which had great ingredients, but was ruined by the yeast extract they decided to pour onto my mushroom. It made it so bitter I couldn't eat most of the mushroom or parts of my toast that had soaked it up. You either love or hate Marmite. There was no need for it on this dish.
M. A.
I usually come here to enjoy the coffee because it’s just perfect. Decided to try the breakfast today .. not really good to be honest the bread is just to hard to eat .. everything else like pastries and coffe is spot on
J. P.
A little coffee shop with a good selection of coffees. Great location.
M. W.
Amazing coffee, great atmosphere, good music 👌🏻
N. S.
Faculty is always perfect, the coffee is great, the people are wonderful, they always have exciting cakes, highly recommend especially if you need something close to the station. (Veggie/Vegan friendly)
a.
this may have been my best coffee experience to date. can't say it was the best cup of coffee i have drunk, but there have been none better than the Long American at Faculty Coffee. you can find them in the elegant independent Piccadilly Arcade, tucked behind the railway terminus and tree lined New Street itself, so no excuses. the drink came in a quaint compact light green cup and saucer with decorative silver spoon. if you have a long lost Auntie you would understand.the brew? sweet, mild and subtle. delicate but substantial. so you may say I liked it. the shop itself is modern wood floored and post industrial, eccentric with the bench outside, i like. great knowlegable staff/co-owners to boot with vegan brownies and Anzac cookies. wish i could have stayed longer and chatted but, this is New St. thanks Birmingham.
J. R.
A brilliant, quirky little place for fantastic coffee! I enjoyed a flat white and the MOST INCREDIBLE almond croissant I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a few! Can’t wait to visit next time I’m in Birmingham.
J. D.
Great tasting coffee, nice atmosphere. Good menu looks good too!
O. M.
This place is perfectly placed in the arcade opposite grand Central station. Spartan in decor but looks the part. Lots of little gadgets in the relatively tiny store and they even have a bakery which adds to the smell. The have minority figures oatmilk or whole milk to have with tea or espresso. Filter via moccamaster or v60s although I noticed aeropress and siphon on the shelf looking lonely! I am guessing they also do cold brew in the summer (couple of hario brewers also on the shelf).
Their coffee is from all over - saw colonna, assembly round hill and others!
Worth a visit.
I got a batch filter which was ok but also only poured half a cup (which is probably less than 6oz ...and I am used to my coffee places being more rather less generous). Anyway the guys here seemed to enjoy themselves so it makes for a good atmosphere.
r. p.
Fantastic range of coffee to drink in or take out.also a stunning selection of beans to take home.highly recomend a vist.
M. J.
Hidden gem! Great coffee, great cakes, great staff. Very friendly and have pride in their work. This is my new go to coffee shop. Love that it’s so close to New St Station too
D. R.
Top Coffee. Food all looked great too but we had a restaurant booking
C. P.
Decent Coffee and a really nice roast that's just right. Great flat white. Cheers.
M. G.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. If you're just after a quick takeaway cup then definitely drop in and get a cup of coffee far better than any of the chains nearby.
If you want to learn more about different types and styles of coffee (and it's quiet) then ask them! Unlike some places the staff here are happy to explain and help you learn more about coffee.
The cakes here are very good too, although those can be a little pricy.
Edit 5 months later: it's getting more popular and rightly so! I must say I'm impressed, the cakes which were already amazing are now even better. They've earned an extra star from me.
E. M.
One of the good artisan coffee places in town. If I was to take someone local to coffee in the area this would is my first choice.
K.
Nice spot for a quick coffee. Pretty hipster with cramped minimal seating, service can vary (some days are good, some days not so!). But the coffee speaks for itself, and the small selection of cakes on offer (sometimes with vegan options) make a nice treat.
A. D.
Amazing specialty coffee shop, friendly staff, lots of tasty snacks, good vibes.
I had the Costa Rica V60 although it may only be available for a few weeks!
I. A.
My husband and I have throughly researched, carefully planned and executed a tour of some selected coffee shops in Birmingham in pursuit of an extraordinary cup of coffee ... the best that we found was at Faculty Coffee. The cake was just a delightful extra.
J. D.
Beautiful artisan coffee shop. Love the layout of the counter. Barista clearly loves making good coffee. Much attention and care given. Only thing to improve would be the speed of service, but very happy with this cafe.
A. S.
Some of the best cakes and pastries around, baked in-house, and awesome coffee to boot.
W. K.
Fantastic coffee made with the utmost care and precision. A quiet and peaceful space tucked away in the arcade.
D. M.
Very good coffee 👌Perfect service! Thank you, one of the best coffee‘s!
C. T.
A fresh croissant and a flat white is the perfect way to start the day at Faculty Coffee. Not only is there coffee excellent, all of there baked good are made fresh daily. Truly excellent find tucked away in Piccadilly Arcade near New Street station. My new go to pre-train café!
T. S.
I asked for a nice oat milk hot chocolate and what I got was a spectacularly delicious oat milk hot chocolate. Yum.
H. R.
Serves fantastic coffee in a cosy environment.
A terribly minor quibble is that oat is their only plant milk ("pilk", is that a word yet?) and I much prefer soya.
S. W.
Popped into Faculty today and enjoyed truly superb coffee with a cheerful welcome. The guys are enthusiastic and friendly. Chilled space to sit and relax. Smooth, rich coffee and delicious pastries. Don't miss this place!
M. C.
Amazing filter coffee.
The Pavlova was top notch.
Highly recommended.
C. G.
Great latte(oat and soya available) and lots of vegan cakes options. The place is cozy with wooden seats. Best coffee in Birmingham!
R.
Finally found a specialty coffee bar in Birmingham. Great coffee and they bake their own pastry!
A. K.
Really nice coffee shop with high quality beans. The stuff is kind and helpful. The only issue is no toilet for guests.
D. W.
Really cute cafe, great vibe and awesome selection of treats & super fresh sandwiches on offer!
It’s a must to stop off and enjoy when in Birmingham
R. C.
These guys know how to make a good coffee. Great cakes and environment.
A. R.
Small, urban-style, independent. One of the best coffee shops in Birmingham, with bonus of having a great selection of cakes and cookies, with options of vegan as well.
A. M. M.
The coffee and the cakes were amazing!
The cakes were incredibly tasty, and the coffee nice and strong as it should be. My only downside was that the ice coffee was super small (extra money for less amount) 🤷🏻♂️
J. H.
Amazing coffee. The pastries/cakes are also absolutely tremendous and are baked fresh in store.
Location very handy for New Street.
Staff were very friendly and very, very knowledgeable about coffee.
Limited seating, but they are happy to do takeaway.
Will definitely become a regular visit for me.
P. G.
Most delicious coffee I've tried in the city
S. R.
Good quality coffee. Nice atmosphere.
M. G.
I live nearby and it's my go to coffee shop. Staff lovely as always!
M. B.
Fantastic coffee and the most amazing cakes which are baked in front of you. We enquired about the charcoal grey croissants and the man baking them gave us one to try between the four if us for free. It was absolutely delicious. Lovely place but unsurprisingly very busy but it's worth waiting for a seat.
L. W.
I've always loved faculty and I'm so happy they are still open and have taken part in eat out to help out. The coffee shop's new look is very nice and the coffee and food as excellent as ever. My favourite coffee in Birmingham!
C. C.
Coffee was very nice ! Just a little small for the price!

I never used to appreciate coffee until I came here and was given an almost education experience in v6- coffee. This must have been back in 2014 now just before I left the UK.
Since then I make a point to come back here on each visit to B'ham. The location is right by the station. Ambiance is great for meeting friends and catching up, or in my case getting some work done.
The staff are great, they all get good training on the coffee brewing techniques so as a customer I can trust that I will experience my coffee awakening time and time again.
J.
Proper coffee served with precision! Amazing v60 and a fantastic array of sweet treats.
r. m.
Pass by everyday on the walk into work. Had to pop in to get my coffee fix in a rush. Genuinely one of the best double espressos I’ve tried. You can tell the barista took pride in his work. Beautifully golden colour, creamy, sweet and nutty flavour. Unreal
A. W.
Delicious cakes and coffee. What's not to like?
M. M. H.
Fantastic coffee, cakes and brunch menu. Try the Anzac biscuit.
S. S.
Such a delightful gem of a place with the most incredible pecan pie ever!
L. L.
I enjoyed a fab coffee here! Washed Columbia from Square Mile. A delight! Also the place is cute, small but cozy. The gallery in which the coffee shop is located is just breathtaking! I will definitely come back! Thank you!
H. K.
Delicious coffee and loads of freshly made cakes from the adjoining bakery. Usually some vegan options but haven't seen anything gluten free. Only other downside is no toilet inside. But the coffee makes up for it!
m. c.
These guys love their coffee. Every shot of ground coffee is weighed, as is the water for the extraction. Always a great cup with quick friendly service. The cakes are tasty and homemade - their kitchen is open and you can sit and watch everything being made. Definitely worth looking for this place and avoiding the large nationals. Located between New Street and New Street Station.
There is a fair amount of seating, but they are small and hard yet still fairly comfy. If you have never had one before, ask for a filter/drip coffee. They are really good - but always drink black without sugar.
S. C.
I really love it here. They make the coffee in their own unique way and are even very specific about it - weighing it out an ensuring an exact temperature of the coffee and milk to give a unique flavour to it. The coffee cups are smaller than average, but well worth it. Also, they have very nice little cakes and pastries, all of which are very unique.
R. C.
A lovely little cafe close to New Street station and the city centre making it easy to get to. There is a wide range of teas and coffees along with wonderful baked goods! They have a selection of vegan options for both drinks and food which makes it a very accommodating place for dietary requirements. The pricing is good too and not too expensive at all. Would definitely recommend it!
P.
One of the best coffee hidden place in town.
Jeff is a star to bring the coffee to Birmingham. Very recommend!!!
If you are coffee drinker you need to try them, won’t let you down. They also do lovely desserts.
S. M.
Best Coffee in Birmingham , friendly staff + prompt service. Looking like it’s going to be my usual hangout spot now.
J. D.
Nice coffee - and great to see food made fresh on site. Seats are uncomfortable as if suggesting to only stay a short time and the sign about the sugar makes them look yo their own arse (I don’t have sugar and it still made me think this). On site team are lovely.
L. M.
The coffee is outstanding, we always get the cappuccino. Often get the sandwiches as well, which are excellent. Prices are reasonable considering the quality you get. The coffees are slightly on the small side, but worth it. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is nice. Be prepared to wait though as it’s very small and seating is limited.
S. M.
Great if you want to pick up a coffee on the way to work or the train. I'd leave some time as they are often busy and also like to take time to really craft the drinks they serve which adds to the quality of the offering. Their baked goods are amazing - I'd thoroughly recommend the crossaints! If you like good coffee and good cake then this is a must.
A. S.
I walk past this place every morning and despite being a coffee lover (and a coffee shop lover) I had always thought it looked a little stark on the outside. Today I took the plunge a went inside. I loved it !
The coffee is great, the cakes are superb (certainly the red velvet cheesecake I had was fabulous) and the staff are welcoming and helpful. What looked from the outside to be stark and soulless was relaxing and vibrant.
Next time I won't hesitate.
M. D.

The Danish is something else. Must try. Thanks for the recommendation

I think all of the reviews have said this to some degree, but I'm going to say it again:
This is one of Birmingham's best kept secrets. The arcades never get as much thoroughfare as they deserve, and even when you do go through them it's very easy to miss some of the businesses - and this is one you could walk past very easily but REALLY REALLY SHOULDN'T.
This has everything. It has great coffee, lovely staff, and beautiful cakes - both in taste and aesthetics. The tables are quite close together so it's very easy to start conversation with the people around you if you want to - but also plenty of space if you want to just keep to yourself.
Particularly a lover of the macarrons, they are some of the most flavourful I've ever had (and they're my favourite biscuit-type thing so I've tried quite a few!).
If you're waiting for a train at New Street, absolutely come here instead of Starbucks/Nero/Costa - you won't regret it.
R.
Great independent cafe. Good variety of coffees and teas, and delicious snacks to boot! They also do vegan food which is nice. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Coffee is excellent quality & they also sell their own ground coffee for you to have at home. Only negative is the small size which means when it’s busy it can be hard to find somewhere to sit, and a lot of the chairs don’t have back support. But I would definitely recommend it if you’re a coffee lover!
S. K.
Can’t tell you how many times we’ve been here. The coffee is always good and well presented. They have perfected their coffee and it’s worth coming back for more. We have eaten here too with their homemade sandwiches, and they are tasty! They have a very large selection of treats and everything is a good price. I would recommend this place for all coffee lovers.

Always a good cup of coffee, my partner really enjoys the pourover here and the espresso here is good.
Very friendly staff
D. W. (.
Tiny little shop, nestled out of the way, next to new street station.
They serve baked goods from the bakery next door which is always dangerous because it smells so good.
They never seem to have enough pour over coffee, which is a shame because when they do it’s tasty as hell.
M. S.
Fantastic cafe with fantastic coffee and cakes. Nothing much more to say! Great place
L. D.
Fantastic little rustic coffee shop hidden in one of the side malls from the high street. The friendly staff made us feel welcome home with great coffee and large cakes selection.
The venue is small but still wheelchair friendly.
S. “. A.
The place is small yet it can be packed. The staff is nice and can help you if you are in trouble. Also they got a range of coffee tipes and a range of cakes. I had a black coffee and a piece of a raspberry cake. The cake was excelent while I can't say the same for the coffee. It was too sour. I kind of forced myself to drink it. Maybe other coffees are better but I was kind of dissapointed in their coffee. I still going to give 4 stars because of good staff and good cake.
G.
A great stop for coffee with a cozy vibe. It on the way to the station from the center and offers great variety of speciality coffee beans bakery and vegan bakery options too. If you like vegan stuff then try the Anzac cookie and you won’t regret it.
B. V.
Amazing little coffee shop in the arcade opposite grand central (bhm new street). Their pastries and cakes are to die for. My friend and I go there often and are always impressed with how everything seems fresh and tasty. The staff are great too, always with a welcoming smile.
J. A.
A very lovely little place to have coffee. The coffee is delightful.
A. D.
It is the best coffee shop in Birmingham. It serves the best coffee in Birmingham i.e coffee that has a naturally sweet note. I have also been served the best coffee I have ever drunk, one with some dark chocolaty notes. Served by nice people. I have been a regular since they started when it was just one unit before the kitchen opened in the adjacent unit.
V. P.
Lovely little coffee shop in the arcade with amazing coffee. Try the piccolo and vegan blackforest muffin.. so good!
S. R.
Best coffee I've had in years
Edit: still not had a better more flavourful coffee. Unfortunately visits are now limited as die to the clean air zone I can no longer drive into Birmingham due to cost.
D. M.
Best coffee I ever had. The cakes are amazing until you taste the coffee and you have to reinvent your words because amazing doesn't begin to cover it. I literally stopped mid sip, bewildered. It's a taste that makes you want to throw your Nespresso and Illy machines away.
Yes, medium (not small) cups. Yes, mild temperature. So what? Perfect to enjoy when it's served, no need to linger over a 1/2 litre steaming cup of coffee for two hours.
Staff is friendly, the savoury food I had was very good as well but the coffee... Oh, the coffee.
J. W.
Best coffee in brum, awesome selection of pastries too
A. W.
Extremely good coffee served by friendly staff in small venue within the Victorian arcade. Wifi available. One of the best flat whites I've had recently. I think the cake is made in the adjoining unit where you can watch it being created. They are serious about serving you good coffee, as indicated by the water quality stats on the chalk board.
J. B.
One of my favourite coffee shops in the UK. Small & often busy but amazing homemade cakes and consistently great long blacks. If. I was by New St Station, wouldn't consider anywhere else
m. j.
I’m from New York. We have intelligentsia. I have lived in London where hybrid benchmark is Leather Lane: department of coffee and social affairs or Prufrock. Faculty is absolutely the best coffee shop in the city AND the baking is wonderful. I am not vegan but have tried every vegan option they have and am amazed.
J. W.
been there few times, very impressed at beginning until the different staff made me the coffee...was not same taste i am sorry.
they also do different beautiful cakes, small place but very busy. Very friendly staff.
M. B.
Very friendly atmosphere and amazing muffins and cookies.V60 coffee was absolutely delicious!
J. R.
Delicious coffee lovingly made with great flavours and expertise. Difficult to resist the pastries and sweet delights which appear to be made on site. Support this excellent Indie. #loveBrum
H. H.
Great coffee and cakes here. Very tiny and AFAIK no toilet, but the public loo in grand Central is just across the road. I also bought some of their coffee beans and they're great.
A. Z.
Super good flat white! Great cakes. Very cosy place 😊
m. g.
I liked the coffee, it is a nice space with very friendly staff
J. W.
strong nice coffee, one of my favorite coffee shop.
they also do a lot of choice for dessert. love it.
If you a coffee lover, you need to try it out!
M. A.
A great stop for coffee with a cozy vibe. It on the way to the station from the center and offers great variety of speciality coffee beans bakery and vegan bakery options too. If you like vegan stuff then try the Anzac cookie and you won’t regret it.
J. D.
Little and busy café. The staff is nice and the coffee is absolutely delicious.
A. M.
They have really made good use of the space they have - it’s not the biggest place but somehow still have a lot of seating and an adjoined bakery.
The coffee and snack selection was great - wasn’t a fan of the hot chocolate however.
J. B.
Great coffee. Best I've had in BHam. The split was just what I needed on a Sunday morning.
A.
Faculty Coffee is split in 2: a high quality coffee shop on one side and an artisan breakfast/lunch provider on the other.
Both are compact in side but often busy - but not at a cost to quality of either coffee or food.
I work nearby and they're definitely on my 'go to' list for food when I get bored of Tesco's and other large stores.
Prices are a little higher than chain shops but you get what you pay for - happy to recommend their food and drinks ranges.
T. J.
Superb coffee brought to you by true coffee lovers and superb tea as well. Now being made with soya 'milk' for people who don't understand full fat milk. Food on the quirky side, but the staff are friendly enough.
G. Q.
Amazing coffee and amazing cakes all made on site. The barista's and the bakers know exactly what they're doing, so just trust them. The "best" coffee house in Birmingham in my opinion!
A. S.
A Birmingham favourite: great flat whites and unbeatable Anzac biscuits!
E. B.
Great coffee, great music, great ambiance. Ended up talking with everyone working there as well as some of the patrons. A really friendly, warm environment fueled by good coffee and baked treats. Highly recommended if you're in birmingham.
T. A.
The coffee here is really good.
The staff are nice and location is good. The photos I've seen make the shop appear bigger than it is but it's still not a problem.
R.
I see from other reviews i may be flying in the face of popular opinion here but although the place and staff are indeed lovely My £2.50 latte was served in a tea cup (really not a good quantity of coffee in such a small cup and by comparison to other main stream offerings) and was just below an ideal drinking temperature when it arrived. My wife and I didnt have much opportunity to enjoy the ambience of the place as we pretty much had to drink up while the coffee was not cold.
My constructive feedback would be get a thermometer out and maybe invest in some larger receptacles.
N. S.
Lovely washed Bolivian on V60. Friendly barista. If I lived in Birmingham I'd be a regular here.
J. H.
Great coffee and cakes. More gourmet so good if you are passionate about good coffee. In the same place you can also get some decent lunch most seems to be hand made and cooked.
L. H.
Love their coffee flavour and you can see they make a quality espresso weighing each cup, I had a banoffee biscoff muffin and without exaggeration it was the best muffin I've ever had in my life!
P. B.
Maybe the best coffee in Birmingham? The staff are always very friendly and there is a nice atmosphere whenever I go. Even though it is in an arcade and, whilst I was there, scaffolding and building works going on, it was still a peaceful haven in a very loud and hectic city centre.
L. “. B.
Small cafe with alot of character and amazing snacks
E. L.
Ordered piccolo, the cafe was too busy,I saw they made the espresso and left it aside for minutessss until they remembered my order, then pouring the milk in. So the coffee I had wasn’t hot enough.
Coffee tasted good tho
J. M.
Very quality cakes and they do vegan options.
the coffee was a little bit too bitter for me.
Lovely tiny place
D. Q.
Precision coffee, outstanding flavour, and top notch service.
H. N.
I actually adore this place. Quick friendly service, and after a few visits the staff remember you and treat you like a regular.
Simplistic and well decorated, such a good idea to team up with the 16 kitchen. I've probably been about 40 times now over the last two and a half years, and I can't fault a thing. Keep going faculty!
T. P.
Cracking place for a coffee. Glad I went and I'll certainly go again when I'm about.
Lovely V60 shared with a friend - tasted just as coffee should. Nothing commercial here.. Followed by one of their amazing sandwiches.
L. D.
Great place. The setting is a little unusual, but the place has a great atmosphere and is small enough to still feel personal. Plus, the coffee is amongst the best in Birmingham.
R. S.
Lovely vegan chocolate cake and latte to wash down will.
Friendly lady helped right choice on cake as I’m fussy.
A good place to take the wife when next in Birm.
M. G.
Great Coffee. Nice pastry. Cosy place.
J. W.
Tiny coffee shop and cake bakery with lovely little selection of cakes and pastries, changing daily. Coffee is one of the best in Birmingham.
J. L.
Very nice coffee served here by a real Barista. Largest size is an 8oz cup but quality over quantity. Good service, small and quirky
G. N.
Fantastic coffee, friendly staff who give great services, add that to the wonderful homemade cakes from the adjoining shop and you have a perfect coffee venue.
You must pay a visit if you have time
S. T.
Visit for its attractive central location (Piccadilly Arcade) it's carefully extracted coffee and it's superb confections. Calm friendly atmosphere.
H. T.
The best coffee(espresso) in Birmingham (possibly the midlands).
Using a varied range of roasters (Square Mile. Round Hill, Assembly) by means of Espresso to V60.
Small shop with lovely homemade sandwiches and cakes next door.
l. g.
Fantastic little not so secret secret, coffee is amazing and cakes are devine. Just found my favourite new place. Can't wait to go again
Z. J.
Really good coffee!

Coffee was amazing, the staff super friendly and the atmosphere was delightful. Did not get to try their pastries and deserts but they looked stunning.
R. L.
The most individual of quirky coffee shops, they serve you their coffee how they want, trust them it's amazing 😊, I mean ever had the grounds weighed to the gram, probably a tenth of a gram, I'm serious, then they weigh the water, and flat whites, they don't over heat the milk, ohhhh they are divine, so that all other flat whites after are a disappointment, ps it's really good here, I come from Cumbria just for a coffee.
I. K.
Nice atmosphere, staff and food but coffee's tepid by the time it arrives at the table and there's a condescending notice putting you off from suggesting it should be hotter. I've stopped going 'cause there's better coffees nearby.
E.
Great little independent coffee spot near New Street station, friendly baristas and tasty bacon baps/batches/rolls/cobs, whatever your chosen word it's all good!
E. D.
The best coffee in Birmingham and pretty much unbeaten anywhere else in the UK and beyond. It's worth a visit every time you're in the city.
T. R.
Coffee is strong, but really good - much better choice than the local big chains, plus you get to support a local independent!
J. R.
Best coffee I have ever tasted. Consistently good. Sometimes coffee is not as hot as I'd like, but flavour is incredible.
F. M.
Well what a find!! On a day out with the hubby and we found this place, amazing service, excellent tea and coffee and also an amazing array of vegan and normal cakes, so happy 🥰🥰
P. T.
My favourite place to go to clear my mind with a coffee and cake. Friendly staff, always smiling, which makes your day! Love love love ❤❤❤
D. B.
Proper strong brew. Friendly service. Delicious baked goods!
C. W.
Nice little place. Really good coffee. Service friendly but probably a bit slow for busy times. Good sandwiches too.
J. K.
I found this to be a great place to kill time and drink coffee whilst waiting for some shoes to be sorted at the Cobblers up the road. Great service and these guys really care about the coffee they're serving.
T. P.
Great coffee and friendly team, coffee and cakes are consistently excellent. I've been a regular here for years!
P. S.
Some of the best coffee I have ever drank has been from here. The cakes are excellent too
D. O.
Quirky shop, quite the opposite of the mainstream coffee chain, with well roasted smooth tasting coffee, however the highlight for me has to be the baked goods, they were of an outstanding quality.
A. P.
The best coffee in Birmingham, I would absolutely come again 👍👌
You should try split coffee 👇
S. H.
Amazing coffee shop. Connected to the sandwich place next door if you want something savoury or there are plenty of cakes etc.
J.
No tea or WiFi on the day we visited, my friend very disappointed after my recommendation from previous visit. Friendly staff member informed us its not possible on a Sunday. Not sure why....

(Translated) Very nice little cafe located in the Piccadilly Arcade. The waiters are very welcoming and friendly. There is a good selection of teas and the cakes were very tasty.

Petit café très agréable situé dans l’arcade Piccadilly. Les serveurs sont très accueillants et amicaux. Il y a une bonne sélection de thés et les gâteaux étaient très goûteux.

(Translated) Caffiened's staff recommended this coffee under my inquiry. Today, I tried to try their coffee in the past. Although there are not many choices of beans, it is good for choosing difficult diseases, and the taste is very good. At the same time, I tried tart for the first time and tasted like a pudding. I like it very much. This is a great cafe. If you have wifi, it's better, but no network can make people concentrate on reading. It is also a good thing from this perspective. The plan often goes.
