Wow. Superb coffee & amazing cakes.
I've been meaning to go here for months and now I'm wishing I'd gone sooner.
A cool quirky interior with mismatched furniture, which just works. Very relaxed atmosphere. Friendly welcome and a decent menu for all tastes and appetites. You can have brunch type snacks, sandwiches, or, as we did, some utterly delicious cakes. The coffee was fab, it's always these independent places that serve the best coffee, so much better than those so-called specialist chains. I tasted coffee, good roasted beans, not burned earth like in, well, you know where.
We had lemon pie and a pink layered cake. The lemon was sharp but sweet, lovely crust to the pastry. The pink layer cake was so moist, with jam, cream and an iced finish. Amazing.
Great value too, 2 coffees and 2 cakes for under a tenner is a decent buy, but coupled with the quality, this is a must go.
Please, go and support them, enjoy the cakes and sip the coffee!

I went here during a lunch time, I was greeted with smiles from all of the staff especially from the server Paolo, he was very polite, smiley & courteous. Paolo suggested I try the French toast with bacon, I took his suggestion. After one bite I was taken to a place I can only describe as euphoric! The decor is nice feels warm and homely all together a great visit which will definitely not be my last.

best independent cafe / deli / bar in birmingham
think its independent, great music, great light food and small sharing plates.

I visited this place a few years ago when last in Birmingham as I walked past decided to go in as enjoyed it then.
It didn't disappoint. Lovely friendly staff. My sister had a cocktail and a slice of cake. Random mix I know but it was just what we fancied. Both cake and cocktails were good

Good atmosphere and background music. Service good too. The food was ok but not the best value. Would use again though, a step up from the usual cafe brands.

I went with my friend to this Cafe on a Tuesday afternoon whilst I was waiting for their car tyres to be replaced.
We found that the heat in there unbearable. It was so uncomfortable we had to leave before we had ordered. The establishment definitely needs ventilation or fans at least! On the positive it is dog friendly, which is an asset. However, even dogs would have suffered in the heat of the cafe.

Great place and great decor. Been here a few times. Always brilliant.. avoid at lunch time as it gets very very busy. Great music selection in back ground. Very food for snacks, lunch and light bites. They’ve recently started to go cocktails too. 👍🏼. Worth a detour.
