What a fantastic beautiful place, lots of interesting nostalgia, some of it took me back to my childhood. Food is freshly made and big portions. Definitely recommend. 🇬🇧😋

Fantastic place to visit for afternoon tea etc.

Lovely experience all in all 🥂🕷️🕷️🥂

Really Nice and Quirky Tea room!
All the decorations are all themed around 1940s, they have some fantastic items that showcase how our ancestor's used to live.
The Afternoon tea is really nice they have a good section of teas, sandwiches and cakes, you can tell they was made fresh.
They also have a good selection of alcoholic drinks and a couple of draft beers.
Located at the back of parlour there is a nice outdoor seating area this has also been decorated really nice and is a perfect location when the weather is fine.
The staff that work at the parlour are really friendly and they make you feel very welcome and add a nice touch to the overall experience.
Ideal location for small parties or a little retreat to have a little drink in.

Had an amazing afternoon tea, such a wonderful place, staff and atmosphere great and booked in already for next month

Great 40s themed tea room. Food was lovely & served on china plates. Tea cups, pot etc are all china and clean. The staff were friendly and efficient. Afternoon tea looked nice. Need to order this 24 hours in advance. Well worth a visit if in the area..

Have just had afternoon tea at pigeons parlour.
My daughter is vegan and there was no problem in fact there was so much she had to bring some home which wasn't a problem as bags were quite happily provided. We had a pot of tea which was refilled when asked. It was my daughters birthday and such a nice touch when they brought her food out there was a candle on her cake and 2 of her sandwiches were cut out in her age, I thought that was
a lovely gesture. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we will certain be going again definitely value for money and cosy interior. Many thanks for a lovely afternoon
R. J.

Lovely tea room took my mom and dad they loved looking at the memorabilla from the 1940s. The staff was lovely very attentive to our needs... we had afternoon tea for two and a gentlemans afternoon tea. Fab price. Sandwiches were lovely and fresh very tasty.
We cant fault this tearoom. Thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon.

I was part of an over 50's outing. The 40's theme was brilliant with so much memorabilia on display. The food was enjoyable and gave a flavour of what you could expect from the period. I also give a very big thank you to the hospitality of the owner and her staff for making us so welcome. A thoroughly great afternoon was had by all who came.
L. W.
We have just visited Pigeons Parlour with our 84 year old Dad for afternoon tea for his birthday. What a fabulous experience. Really lovely homemade food and fabulous service. Very nostalgic, a step back in time to the 40's. Will definitely be going again. Thank you.
M.
Lovely place, great food and good service.
M. M.
Had afternoon tea there today. Very friendly staff who took time to interact with us and to keep checking whether we needed anything. Excellent service. The food tasted lovely and was beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this tea room.
Y. J.
We booked an afternoon tea that unfortunately couldn't sit down to due to unforeseen circumstances. Myself and my sister went thinking we could have it boxed to takeaway. The owner and staff were SO considerate about why we couldn't stay they were extremely honest and explained it would take a considerable time to box up.
We rebooked our tea, but on being in the pigeon parlour we are extremely excited to visit again xx
G. R.
What an amazing concept. We must have been the youngest there. I've never seen so many over 80 year olds having so much fun on a night out. Defiantly going again. 😁👍🏾
J.
The best tea room around. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and an altogether lovely experience and one we are repeating very soon.
G. B.
Just fabulous! We were a party of 14 celebrating a 90th birthday. Debbie & the girls couldn't have done more to make the afternoon special. The afternoon tea was perfect in every way. Thank you!
D. E.

L. S.
Celebrated my moms 60th birthday here and the food was wonderful but the service was outstanding. No request was too much and the whole team were friendly and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation. Thank you!
D. P.
Very quaint and pretty. Lovely lunch platters and cream tea gifts. Love it here. Great for a treat
J. B.
What a fabulous little place. Steeped in history and wartime ornaments. The sandwiches and cakes are delicious and to be honest, I doubt I'll be booking afternoon tea at well named restaurants again as they simply can't compete with this lovely place which also has a fantastic selection of gins!
h. f.
I went with 2 friends and had the most wonderful time. The ladies were so nice, giving us so much information about the place, and about the 40s. We had a great history lesson. The food was brilliant and I've never drank so much tea. Non of us managed to eat all the food, even tho it was fab. The one lady heard me say I have soya milk at home, and came with a jug of soya milk and a fresh cup and saucer. So kind. The price was good too. I'll be going back with another friend, and also with my hubby. Tha k you ladis
R. S.
Lovely afternoon tea, great venue.
E. R.
I ordered 3 afternoon teas to take away as a last minute idea. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful and food was beyond my expectation and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you.
i. c.
Wasn't sure what to expect from the venue, but was really surprised. People were so welcoming and warm. Yes it's a war time / 50s themed coffee shop but they offer much more. Worth popping in for there home made lemon cake.
Well presented, clean, comfortable and pleasant. Would go again. Thank you Pigeons
S. B.
What a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Such a lovely atmosphere, it was like having tea at my Nan's house when I was a child.
The staff were all friendly and very chatty and the afternoon tea was top notch! All lovely and fresh with a good choice of sandwiches and cakes, with plenty of tea to wash it all down. We shall definitely be returning with the rest of the family to experience the Friday evening entertainment.
Keep calm and carry on the good work ladies. 😘
A. W.
Fantastic afternoon tea, and Gentleman's tea. Delicious food, great selection and more than enough to eat. Lovely, friendly staff and very interesting environment. Visited several times and never disappointed, definitely visit again.

Such a fun, delicious and beautiful tea room! They hosted my baby shower and it was better than I ever could have imagined. So glad we supported this local business and chose this as our place to celebrate our baby girl!
G. C.
Have been here three times now, each time with a different person and everyone including myself have said how fab it is here. Nice to get away from the modern world for a few hours. Staff are very friendly and thr owner is lovely. Food is lovely especially the cakes - very good portions! Am looking forward to visiting this little gem again. Definitely what Great Barr needed.
C. R.
Just spent a very enjoyable couple of hours here . Warm welcome from the lovely friendly ladies who took the most amazing care to make sure my delicious afternoon tea was nut free. Lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes and as much tea and coffee as you can drink. Such a nice atmosphere love the 1940's theme cosy and comfortable. Won't be long till my next visit. Thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon
K. C.

c. w.
Proper English cafe, 1940's style very friendly staff, very helpful nice and clean, lots of things to look at from the 1940's, such a lovely place, best to book, as it gets busy defiantly recommend this place.
G. S.
Very friendly. Excellent food. Would recommend. Will visit again. A hidden gem.
W. W.
6 of us went Thurs afternoon for afternoon T absolutely marvellous, nothing was to much trouble catered for 1 of us who didn't like some things on sandwiches, Brought fresh pots of T and milk out, Fantastic,
S. W.
My friend organised an afternoon tea for our first meeting since lockdown last year. The sandwiches were prepared fleshly and very tasty. We had a choice of a fruit or plain scone which tasted home made served with enough jam and clotted cream. The additional small pieces of cake were interesting and the large fresh strawberry topped the platter.
We had a lot of catching up to do so got through 2 large pots of decaffeinated tea.
The surroundings are very 40's with black and white photos adorning the walls and many artefacts decorating shelves etc.
I asked the man serving where the name had come from and apparently his wife's nickname from birth was Pigeon as she was a low birthweight!! I'm from West Bromwich originally and the abbreviation Pidge was often used as a term of endearment!!
My friend paid the bill which I think was a bit more than we'd usually pay but it was a lovely afternoon.
Parking locally is on the road and in front of the parade of shops.
A. G.
Loved it. 1940s setting, Mel and Debbie so charming good natured and helpful. I've already recommended it and will definitely be returning.
S. C.
Lovely tea room with great 1940s decor. They were very accommodating booking us in later in the afternoon. The afternoon tea was lovely and had a very nice selection of sandwiches and cakes. The gin menu allows for many different combinations of speciality gins and tonics, so I think several return trips will be required to try them all out. Most important of all the staff were so welcoming.
N. C.
Had the most wonderful afternoon here - fantastic ambience, friendly staff and 'to die for' food!! Definitely heading there again for my birthday. Thanks Debbie and team for a super afternoon tea which has so far surpassed any other i have had.
M. H.
Whether you go in the day or on Friday evening. The vintage atmosphere and the service are exceptional. The food is very good and well presented, with excellent selection of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic. All the staff are friendly and extremely welcoming, especially Debbie the owner, who is full of personality and cannot do enough to make experience here special, for young and old alike.
L. W.

You will love this po lace it's a step back in time.. the memorabilia is fantastic. It's like stepping back into my grandma's house. The old time music playing. The pictures of Birmingham past and war pictures is fascinating. A friend told me about this gem of a café. So today I chose to take my mother for her 91st birthday.
It was perfect. My mom thoroughly enjoyed the 1940s décor bringing back remembers of her youth.
The staff, Debbie and Mel, were a delight and made my mom feel extremely special. I can’t thank them enough for a lovely afternoon.
I’m looking for to visiting again, knowing there are exciting plans ahead, for what is already a charming place.
Thank you very much, Julie.
J. C.
What a gem of an authentic 40’s tea room!!! Well run by enthusiastic and dedicated staff.
Watch this tea room as Debbie and the team have some outstanding plans ahead. Well worth a visit. You can just drop in but i think it would be wise to phone ahead and book!
D. P.
Popular place so book ahead. You need to book if you want afternoon tea. Hot and cold food served. Place stays open into the evening on Fridays.
Parking outside but it can get busy so your may need to park slightly further away.
Staff are friendly and welcoming and you'll want to come back. It's a place where anyone with interest in the 40s and 50s will remenisce. Will really help those with dementia to feel relaxed.
P. W.
Just spent a lovely afternoon with my stepdaughter having Afternnon Tea here. First ever visit and loved it. Fantastic 1940s theme, lovely friendly staff and fantastic afternoon tea. Have already rebooked to go back. Highly recommend it.
J. F.
Very 40s lovely ladies serving you well worth a visit 💖
M. T.
Truely wonderful surroundings taking you back in time. The staff are really friendly and the memorabilia on display is fantastic. Check out the toilet remarkable. There are various menus if you want to treat yourself or your partner they do afternoon teas you must give them 24hr notice for their excellent arrray of cakes. Point of note it is a licenced premises so you can also treat yourself to a glass of prosecco and other alcoholic drinks.
L. R.

What a super place. Wish it wasn't a 21 mile round trip. A really good idea to book, even for a pot of tea (in a tea cosy) and toasted teacake! Staff great and so well turned out. Can't think of anything negative, except the distance. Moves afoot to enlarge.
