Reviews of Yorks Cafe & Coffee Roasters
L. P.
Great food! Coffee was a bit cold to my liking - lesson for next time to ask for extra hot 😊 we ordered Turkish eggs & Arabian eggs, the dishes were flawless and the Greek yogurt was very well seasoned . Poached eggs were perfect as well as the bread was amazingly soft. Decor was quite rustic, could be improved especially with just one toilet. Although a good place in the city centre.

Yorks Cafe & Coffee Roasters.
Staff are super friendly and food is quite good.
The decoration is nice but it’s a really small place so not a lot of space between tables.
Strongly recommended!!
=)
J. E.
Coffee absolutely perfect as always, but was a tiny bit disappointed with my breakfast, not quite up to the standard set by the coffee (first time I've eaten here). Still above average, just expected a little more. Top chilli sauce though.
k. r.
Good spot for a brunch. Small place and tends to be crowded during weekends. Expect a short wait until seated. Humble and welcoming staff. Good coffee.
Tried the Turkish eggs, pretty rich in butter.
Overall: 👍🏼
A.
Very cozy place with a nice selection of coffee, food and desserts. It gets quite busy on the weekends and the waiting time can be long, but overall it was enjoyable. I would recommend it.
P. C. B.
I do like it here.
A refreshing change from the mainstream coffee houses. A great all day menu and reasonable prices. I dropped in for coffee and eggs Benedict. Staff were polite and served me well.
It perhaps wasn’t the quickest service but I guess some things are waiting for.
That said it’s a great find and worth a visit… then another, then another.
We’ll done!
PB 👌🏻

Always lovely breakfast and coffee.
It was busy, and we waited nearly half an hour for someone to take our order.
K. Q.
Love this place. Been going for years. Small, beautiful dishes that are very tasty and a great chai latte as well. We'll situated outside the train station or easy to get to from Victoria Square.
H. W.
Absolutely beautiful food and lovely, kind staff. Have already recommended it to the whole family! Will definitely be returning 😍
D. H.
Much needed great batch brew coffee and a cracking bacon and egg bap. Two minutes from the station and better than anything else in there!
N. A.
Spent half a day in Yorks Cafe studying and I absolutely loved it.
Super friendly cheerful staff.
Amazing food and beverages; they know how to make the perfect dishes with the right mix of flavors and to give you the best experiences. I tried the Marrakech Avocado toast, eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and chai latte and enjoyed all three but the avocado toast was my favorite; it gives you a full experience from the richness of the hummus paste, the creaminess of the meticulously picked avocados and the freshness of their toast dough to the crunchy addition of the black seeds, the chili flakes and not to mention the zesty sour touch of pickled pink onions 😍
R. C.
Had a delicious Chai Latte. The staff was also very fun, kind, and welcoming. 5 stars!!!
M. M.
Yorks cafe is banging !! Absolutely loved the Marakesha Avocado toast with smoked salmon and the Arabian poached buttered eggs.
Amazing service and a great place to chill. Highly recommended !
T. R.
Great coffee, great food. Special mention to shanti (sorry if I spelt it wrong!) It was exceptionally busy today but apparently that's how it gets on weekends....we waited outside until there was space for us, but she kept us updated frequently. She was also super friendly and warm. Food arrived fairly quickly. Note that the food comes out as it's ready - something we weren't told, so my husband had to wait without food for a while. Looking forward to going back!
S. A.
Visited this cafe and received really good, efficient, friendly service.
The food was amazing and the lady we was served by had really great communication and a friendly vibe.
Would definitely come again and recommend to others.
L.
Just a short walk from New Street and slightly away from the mains street it's the perfect spot to grab some food or coffee. Staff were polite and food was great.
M. K.
This is a quirky well laid out cafe/bistro with fabulous food. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We had brunch and there were some unusual dishes offered. I had buttered poached eggs with herbs and pickled pink onions on sourdough with a spicy mayonnaise, which was fabulous. The teas are served on little trays with individual glass teapots - so charming. For £20 we had a memorable experience and I would highly recommend 👌
J. F.
The coffee was good.
However the food was a bit disappointing even though it has a decent presentation. We have ordered a chicken waffle and house breakfast. For the chicken, it's too dry, and the waffle is a bit too sweet for me. Most importantly, I was shocked by how the poached egg was cooked. The egg yolk was not runny at all. I would rather called it a soft boiled egg.
It wasn't worth to pay £10 each for the food. I hope they could improve it.
H. B.
Used to love this place, but the last two times the staff haven’t been particularly friendly, drinks only warm (although we ask for extra hot), no chocolate sprinkles on the cappuccino and it looks like it needs a good clean in parts. Disappointing, will be drinking coffee elsewhere next time.
S. B.
Great coffee and selection of food. Will be coming back here. The menu is good.
L. H.
Love this place <3 Good selection of teas (oolong, green, white, herbal, rooibos), great coffee and very good small plates. Lemon polenta and sorrel cake had a gooey centre and was delightful. Social distancing well observed, staff friendly and helpful. Lots of natural light and good people-watching. Relaxing place to be.
E. K.
I recently made my first visit in a while. Staff were cheerful and helpful, and gave me a decent tea recommendation during my brief stop here. The cafe is close to New Street and the station, and is perfect for anyone visiting solo or with friends.
Can't comment on the food, but if it's anything like the drinks available and the atmosphere then it's probably pretty good.
R. P.
Really good food, hearty meal and the staff are so lovely! The coffee was also good!
M. B.
The food was very well presented, tasted very flavoursome, and was the star of the show. However, the service I found was incredibly poor. Staff are very disinterested in their customers, not asking if we'd like any condiments with our food or asking if we'd like anything else.
N. A.
Great breakfast and lovely chai latte.
D. L.
Fantastic coffee and smashed avocado, feta and chilli on sourdough
I. A.
A place with character, nice coffee, amazing cakes, surprisingly good food and cosy industrial design interiors. We would have stayed for at least 3 h, hard to leave ...but we had to make room for other customers, it’s quite popular. We’ll be back ...
Improvement suggestion: toast was burn and cold, unpleasant to chew it, luckily rest of the breakfast made me forget about it for few minutes.
B. J.
My god best coffee I have ever had. I shall be back. The cake was nice too. The interior was great as was the service.
A. R.
Popped here for lunch whilst on my break at work today. Fairly quick service for time of day. The three girls behind the bar were working well. Coffee (latte) was well made and must enjoyed. The food was delicious, can't remember the name of the sandwich, but basically it was chicken in some artisan flatbread and a cookie for the dessert, again delicious. All for under £14, I'll definitely be visiting again 👍
J. P.
Can get very busy, but the atmosphere is one that a person would expect from a cafe. The food has Middle Eastern twists on traditional brunch foods. The quality is decent though it drops a little when it gets busy. They also have a large selection of teas.
J. J.
Very good brunch venue with a full set of traditional options. It's all about the food and coffee here. The fried chicken is particularly worth while though all the food is full of flavour. The coffee is fresh and smells divine. This venue can get crowded when full and queuing to order can be where you spend the majority of your time.
V. M.
Nice convenient place for a coffee with a friend before catching a train home from shopping. Coffee shops in the station are usually way too busy… and overpriced.
C. K. O.
This cafe conforms to social distancing. Serves excellent takeaway coffee. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back for a cuppa. The cafe has a modern vibe and there are various coffee brewing kit available for purchase. 😄
D. C.
One of Birmingham City Centre’s premier cafes. Yorks Cafe & Coffee Roasters is a beautiful, hip environment to socialise and enjoy simply amazing coffee, tea, breakfast, brunch, lunch.
The staff are lovely.
O. M.
Busy place around the corner from the train station (grand Central). Really really funky decor with loads of seats available - which is tardis- like given how small it looks on the outside. Coffee is well crafted but unfortunately they didn't have filter when I came so didn't try it (only have batch brew). Worth a visit for sure.
R. B.
Coffee is great! Ordered the Arabian buttered eggs and Turkish eggs. It was served in a puddle of oil. We didn't expect that since it was not mentioned on the menu.
A. S.
Great place to enjoy a coffee and work from your laptop. They make a great coffee, have a good selection of snacks and a great lunch menu. A hot latte costs 2.7 pounds, there’s a bathroom on the premise and free WiFi. There’s a few power points and a range of seating types to cater for everyone. #BeatTheGrind
s. m.
Amazing service, amazing food and amazing ambiance
S. C.
As is usual with Yorks, a very nice experience with great quality food and not too long waiting times. Well worth the visit and the best cafe in the area for sure. Coffee also is very good and strong but with a unique flavor. Much recommend going here.
R. L.
The service was fantastic. Staff we waiting outside to make us feel comfortable provided hand sanitiser straight away then guided us to our seats. They asked if we were happy the seats they provided and showed us the other options to make sure we were happy. Ordering the food was contactless really easy to use. The food was excellent. Overall excellent quality and experience
C. P. &. V.
Excellent prompt service, chilled relaxed atmosphere, charming decor pity my choice of cake was not available again
S. H. S.
I had an oat milk flat white from here recently on a morning. They were serving customers on the door that I thought was a great policy.
L. M.
Really enjoyed the rustic style and atmosphere of this place. Staff and even fellow patrons were very polite and friendly. Had a flat white of a washed Ethiopian roast and really enjoyed the flavours, definitely a proper coffee shop. Had their special cookie of the day which had popcorn and pretzel and crisps in it, which was a bit odd but I liked their creativity. Popular so can be a bit loud and maybe not suited to something like studying at busy periods. Would recommend!
N.
Delicious coffee and food, beautiful interior.
It's also become one of my favourite takeaways during the pandemic
L. L.
Popped here after reading some Google reviews and wanting some brunch whilst visiting Birmingham. We stood at the door, as signposted, for over 5mins before we were acknowledged. It was a Sunday at 12:30pm so a busy time for brunch and it was clear they short staffed as I could only see one waitress doing several jobs. We eventually got a seat outside and used the app, as instructed, to order our food, this worked well. I had the buttered Arabian eggs, really tasty but a little disappointed the eggs were not runny (my fiance's eggs Benedict was the same too). I enjoyed an iced latte which was good. However my fiancé ordered a can of coke which when came had clearly not been kept in a fridge and the glass served with it had no ice so then had to ask for some. Really recommend the food here but just get a feeling we caught them at particularly busy time.
H. S.
Delicious spot of lunch, very good quick service. Reasonably priced. I would go back, the chicken shawarma was just the right amount, well flavoured. The camomile tea stayed warm for really well.
R. Y.
My favourite breakfast in the city. They also do very tasty small plates, too.
Great coffee and good food, too.
Also dog-friendly.
My favourite place in Birmingham.
T. L.
Taste the coffee and hot chocolate for yourselves and the cakes are amazing. Very comfortable inside, the interior and exterior is well presentable. How a coffee shop should feel! Beautiful decor and comfortable seating areas.
J. B.
Lovely little place, served some wonderful food, and customer service was great.
H. S.
actually a v busy place around lunch with a nice atmosphere and the chicken and waffles were so good! Fried chicken was crispy, salty bacon complimented the sweet waffle drizzled in maple syrup🤤 wasn't a cheap brunch but worth it... definitely coming back to try their coffee
M. G.
Excellent food and customer service.
I grabbed something to takeaway for my train journey. The lady who served me this afternoon was really welcoming and so thorough on her explanation of the menu and what options may be best plus whether they could be altered for easy eating whilst on a long train journey with little space for cutlery etc.
The extra care taken was great. Thank you, Yorks & Team.
I can highly recommend the fried chicken and bacon sandwich with honey on sourdough. Delicious.
D. C.
Just about to enjoy my free cake courtesy of the lovely people at Yorks, thank you. You have put a smile on my face today 😃Lovely food (breakfast is amazing!) and lovely people, thank you.
T. S.
This is a very modern cafe bakery, with an industrial rustic design. We found the breakfast menu was varied with lots of options. We had the scrambled eggs with bacon, very well prepared, with a generous serving. Even though the cafe bakery was busy, we found the staff were polite, and friendly. The coffee we ordered were well made, with a nice after taste, not bitter. This is a very busy cafe, obviously popular by the locals. We would have no hesitation in returning.
S. W.
Fantastic food and coffee, would highly recommend!
J. D.
Excellent food and delicious coffee roasted in house. Staff was nice and definitely proud of their roasting. The only weird thing is you need to order and pay at the counter. I would come again.
R. H.
Excellent breakfast... Really cool place... Loved it.

EDIT: I posted the below review 11 months ago (end of 2017). Since then, York’s has really gone downhill. Went here with my friend today and it really was not as good as it used to be. Coffee was bitter, cake was dry, and my food portion was tiny for the amount of money I paid (see pic - that cost £7.50!). Really disappointed, and will be complaining to them directly. I’d no longer recommend York’s, as there are plenty of other good independent coffee places in the city centre to choose from. Also, something else that we noticed was that the floor was filthy - we put our bags down and they were covered in dust when we picked them up!
Love this place! Coffee is great quality, staff are friendly, the atmosphere is super chill and the decor is quirky. I always go for late night coffee here with my friends as they close later than many chain shops in the centre. It’s a really comfy place to hang out and chat. I’ve only tried a few items from their food menu, but what I’ve had has been great (especially the cakes!). They also serve alcohol. I like that they have a stack of board games downstairs, so you can play those with your friends if you like! Probably one of my fave coffee shops in Birmingham.
E. L.
Excellent food and friendly service, well presented and incredibly flavoursome! Well worth a visit!
J. K.
Great brunch menu and coffee. Cakes and cookies looked amazing too. Staff are fab. Would definitely go back.
L. T.
Delicious iced mocha. Beans were very tangy like almost too much. I wouldn’t have them on / with my breakfast again
R. W.
Service was really fast, which is surprising as it was peak lunch time. Interesting types of interesting food and good coffee. Only 4 stars because it's a little pricey.
m. L.
Great Coffee the best I have had in Birmingham. A nice contemporary café with a different menu. Just one criticism the music is just a little to loud and bassy 🔊 .
T. C.
Just visiting Birmingham one day and found this nice cozy cafe very near Birmingham new street station in a iron-like building. It only takes around 3-5 mins walk from the station. They offer good coffees at reasonable price and some cakes and pastries bit not really many options. Overall I really like and enjoy the chilling atmosphere there.
J.
One of the best/first 3rd generation coffee shops in Birmingham. Good coffee, server well. Great section of snacks and lite bite meals including great brunches.
K. S.
Went twice in 2 days.
Great coffee, but overall, average at best.
The staff operate so inefficiently and are all miserable and have zero craic. Except the big guy with beard making the coffees, he was really friendly. Food is good, but not amazing...menu items read and look better than they taste.
d. m.
York’s it a very nice and rustic place where to enjoy a nice breakfast or brunch. The staff is kind. Prices are in range.

Great coffee shop and roaster place. Atmosphere is very cool and comfortable. Staff is well trained. Food is good.
e. d.
super nice coffee and food was amazing
J. S.
Been here only for tea, great selection! Very cosy environment would like to try the food. The menu seems appetising
J. S.
Good range of drinks from 3 types of hot chocolate to a pot of tea with an array of foodstuffs with or without protein.
M. D.
Coffee took ages to come, and was nearly cold when it arrived. I would have ordered breakfast, but at that speed it would have been the following Tuesday before it arrived. Lovely looking menu, worth a bash if you have time to kill I guess.
N. T.
Coffee was nice but staff let it down. Very rude. For that I would not return
J. S.
12 £ for a full english breakfast wich was just basic (Drinks not included). If you love hipster places that's for you. But I don't think the hipster atmosphere justifies the prices.
G. H.
Stopped off for an early breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely (Eggs Benedict & Mushroom) and I loved the decor of the cafe.
J. Y.
Friendly staff, tasty coffee, lovely food cooked with passion.
R. S.
Definitely worth the visit. The food is always great and the fact that the cafe is always crowded should say it all.
T. P.
Great food and coffee, best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in a while and a nice place to relax.
D. R.
Great coffee and lovely snacks. A must visit independent. Roast their own beans too.
C.
A lovely little, relaxing cafe situated in the heart of Birmingham for a spot of brunch! I would've given 5 stars but unfortunately, the fried chicken and waffle that I ordered was far too sweet (the waffle itself was very sweet and wasn't very soft either and there was too much maple honey given too...). I've heard and read a lot of positive reviews about Yorks cafe previously so although my first experience here wasn't the best, I'll be giving it another chance as I'm hopeful that their other brunch options will be better!
D. O.
Three types of hot chocolate and the one we had was lovely. Table cleaned on our arrival.
R. G.
Had breakfast here. Not the biggest breakfast I've ever had but still really good and more about quality, which was very good indeed. What swung the 5 stars is the quality of the coffee with a great breakfast (full English) which was so good I bought two bags to take home. Super attentive staff clearly loving what they do and quirky funky decor which was both modern and easy but said something about individuality. You felt like you could sit, enjoy and indulge in a great central site. I will be going back!
G. E.
Always good. Love their house breakfast. Friendly service.
E. T.
Delicious brioche breakfast sandwich and quality coffee. Staff was friendly and treated us well.
N. A.
Such amazing brunch. Best Eggs Benedict with salmon ever, and the house breakfast is so much delicious food and I normally don't even fancy a fry up. The Egyptian bread was luscious, and I could get an IV of the coffee. Excellent menu choices with a range of great prices
D. O.
Lovely food and tasty drinks! Big shout out to thier correct cake, it delicious. Great place to work for the day! Will be back when I'm back in Birmingham
A. B.
Delicious breakfast. Great options on the menu from usual suspects to some left field option. We will be back!!
P.s Coffee was punchy just why we needed 😁
M. D.
Absolutely love this place. They've got a unique breakfast menu and we enjoyed the beetroot rose latte, creamed mushrooms on toast, banana bread and a white chocolate raspberry blondie bar! Absolutely delicious. It gets super crowded so can't sit around for a long time. But the crowd's there for a reason, it's just that good!
C. D.
Excellent food and service. Great vibe and the barista is on point
N. H.
Good food but not outstanding and a little overpriced. We had their full English which came in the frying pan and the fried chicken and bacon on waffles with maple syrup, which was over sweet. Syrup served separately would have been better. The long black coffee was ok but came in a short little cup. Their cakes looked really nice but we didn't have any. The atmosphere was nice and along with the trendy decor, it's a pleasant place to have breakfast.
A. G.
Delicious food and nice service but my coffee was horrible. I specifically asked for a one shot Americano but it tasted like there were at least two shots in it. So thick and bitter. Thankfully the waitress offered to transfer it to a (slightly) larger cup with more hot water which improved things a little. Not particularly good value so I wouldn't return here again.
a. A. A.
The coffee taste is nice but it would have been nicer if it was made with love like other speciality coffee
R. R.
Best bacon ever! Crispy and melts in the mouth. Sausages also really good!
E. S.
Lovely place for a breakfast or bite to eat through the day. Price comes in around 15 for brunch course and coffee, or a little more for lunch.
The variety of food on the menu offers something for all sorts of palates. I had fried chicken and waffles for brunch on first visit - had worried it might be too much for that time of day, but not at all. Absolutely spot on.
Their coffee is lovely and rich and fresh, and they have a good variety of cold drinks too.
Staff are very friendly, service is pretty quick, and the decor is very clean and continental feeling. Quite airy and relaxing. It's relatively quiet apart from the weekends too, which - when it's right by the station - makes it a very good staging area for starting a day out in Birmingham.
T. v. H.
Great place, bit small but cozy.
L. H.
Friendly staff, nice food, quite quirky. Good experience.
K. C.
Lovely welcoming place. Food and drinks were beautiful. A little gem in Birmingham.
S. W.
Great place to have brunch or just meeting up with friends! Love the atmosphere and decor of the cafe. My favourite is the chicken waffle. Giving 4 stars because they are way too generous with the maple syrup. The chai latte could be stronger and less sweet as well.
T. W.
Lovely place, great atmosphere and very friendly servers.
A. T.
Excellent coffee and great place to meet and work. The food is also good with the Buddah bowl being my personal favourite. It's within a short walk of new street and is a great place to go if waiting for a train rather than sitting in the station itself. Staff are also very friendly and welcoming and they bring your drinks to the table which is a nice touch compared to the Starbucks of this world.
R. K.
Popped in for coffee and cake. Staff seemed nice and the coffee was wonderful. The menu seemed to have good choices and the lunches was saw looked great. Nice wee coffee shop with a quirky atmosphere. Give it a try on my recommendation. I have a feeling if we had lunch this might have had 5 ☆s but we didnt so only 4 today.
J. C.
I love Yorks, but disappointed with my visit today. My first server was amazing and really friendly, the food was great but was distracted by the slightly too loud background music and the slamming of the front door. After getting a second drink, I noticed around 10 small flies all on the open air cakes - in particular the coconut and gooseberry slices!
Has put me off having anything open air now - stick to the food off the menu! Other than that great cafe in a great location. Usually 10/10!
Y. L.
The brunch egg dish with yogurt and pickled onions were so good, perfect with Chai tea. Will visit again!
M. B.
The cakes and bakes are great (love the spinach cake!!) and the cafe decor is beautiful! But I've been to all their locations several times and I've felt on several occasions as if I was a nuisance to the staff just for coming to the till to order. The food menu and presentation are stunning, but lacks the taste to back it up, unfortunately. I stopped going here.
J. D.
Well designed breakfast cafe with healthy balanced food options, I would recommend the Arabian Buttered Eggs.
A. H.
Had the eggs Benedict with bacon and one of their filter coffees, the whole thing was incredible, very well priced and exceptional service from the staff
A. C.
Great place but it takes ages to place your own order via their website and of course then you can't use Google pay or Apple Pay. Luckily one of us had a bank card! Quicker and easier to ask for a menu and order "old school"
M. S.
Friendly staff, food was nice & presentation was good.
B. C.
We were charmed by this place. Great decor and ambiance. Staff make you feel very welcome. I had a Ginseng Oolong tea. which was very rich and refreshing. My partner said her hot chocolate was delicious. Lovely Spanish music in the background. Definitely must go there again.
J. R.
Great Place for Coffee and Food or Brunch! We had booked a table in advance and were told the oven had broken in the morning. The staff called us in advance to let us know what happened and when it was fixed. Coffee was great, the place is very busy on weekend which mean our order was longer than normal. Staff were helpful when the order was wrong and offered free coffee or desert :) lovely place for a brunch date!
E.
Staff are really friendly .hot chocolates are amazing !
M. H.
Excellent food and coffee. Long wait.
F. E.
I had a lot of great Breakfast/Brunches in the UK but this one beats them all! Definitely check it out if you're in the area (Arabian eggs were surreal!). Great service, great food and great atmosphere. I'm sad I'm only in Birmingham once a year.
Looking forward to next year! Keep it up.
G. Y.
Definitely one of my favourite places in town for an excellent cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Always try to ignore the tempting cakes on offer, and always fail happily. Only possible downside is that the place is so popular, it can be a struggle at times to find a spare seat at ground level. There is additional seating downstairs, but not ideal if you also like to people watch.
C. S.
I come here very regularlt as i love the decor and feel of the place. Great independent cafe with a fantastic choice of drinks - fresh tea leaves and coffee is always used. Better than top known brands. The only thing letting it down is the food. The Greek inspired menu seems enticing but offers quite a bland and dry experience.
C. M.
Friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious, I had shaksuka which came with a generous side of sourdough. Quite pricey (£9) but delicious. Coffee was really good and actually extra hot. Great atmosphere. Toilets are not nice though.
E. H.
Great independent Roastery and Cafe with modern relaxed atmosphere. Staff were excellent and friendly (and happy to recommend other places to eat, always a good sign). Batch brew was rich and not overbrewd, and the slab of chocolate brownie was spot on. Will definitely return next time I'm in the area. Keep up the good work 👍
J. A.
Fantastic place, fantastic staffs, fantastic food. Love the peanut butter toast. Always ask for more peanut butter and staff always obliged. The beetroot coffee is simply delicious and so is the others. If you are nearby or waiting for the train on New Street Station, you should drop by this place.
I. G.
Really great food and coffee. One time my soya coffee was curdled, which happens if you add coffee to it when it's too hot, so perhaps some staff need training on this. Otherwise one of the best coffee shops in the city and the service is great. Always worth a visit.
L. A.
Hidden away and always a bit busy because it is so good.. Limited seats at peak time. Generally friendly staff, nice creative brunch choice and tasty cakes for a fair price. Limited gluten-free options though but consistently satisfying.
S.
We thought this cafe was excellent. Good food, great coffee and a relaxed vibe. Service could be quicker but we weren't in a rush so it didn't matter. I wish I had a cafe like this near where I live!
J. B.
Not as good as it used to be. Buttered eggs overdone. Clearly cooked in advance which isn’t a problem if controlled. But service was sharp as usual. Been a while since I’ve been so won’t write it off. One of the more unusual places in Brum.
V. A. c.
Really nice staff and a great selection of food and drinks. Savoury or sweet. This place is popular and you'll know why. For vegans and vegetarians this place has a lot to offer too! Their coffee is really good!
h. r.
The place is nice, very aesthetic and serves wonderful food in a great setting. The coffee leaves something to be desired for a place which prides itself on its own roast (mainly how bitter it is), but they have an expansive drink menu to choose from.
R. T.
Lovely surroundings and decor, and it's a warm, cosy place to have a coffee and a bite to eat. Service was friendly and prompt, and prices were more than reasonable. Would happily come again should I find myself in central Birmingham.
A. F.
Great coffee, the avocado smash is really nice too.
S. J.
It's clear these guys understand and are passionate about their coffee. Reasonable prices; great atmosphere (if sometimes a little noisy). I'm yet to try the food, but the menu looks excellent. No need to look any further for good coffee near New Street station.
J. J.
A fantastic café in the heart of Birmingham.
The warm atmosphere, scrumptious selection of sweets and wonderful coffee make this a great venue to while away the time.
A great place to work, meet up or to wait for your train.
Truly, a gem in the Midlands.
A. N.
A nice city centre cafe with aspirations of being a restaurant. The food is pretty good. The cakes are fantastic. The coffee is good, but not always well made. Still, one of the best places to go in the city centre ☕️ 🍰👍🏼
Okay I have changed my mind about the coffee, last few visits have been on par. Legends! Also the new menu is delicious 🖤
B. D.
Nice staff, good coffee and indeed laid back. I only don't really understand the 'bakery' in the name as offering prefabricated (and then baked in-house) pastry and three different cakes doesn't make the place a bakery. Won't complain though, had a nice time.
K. S.
PERFECT brunch place to go. It was full when we visit, even in a thursday.
we waited about 5 mins and found a table. Very attractive menu with good vegetarian options. My wife got breakfast and myseld got avocado sandwich. both taste good and they do good coffee.
Definitely worth to go!
highly recommend:)
N. H.
Lovely cafe with exciting cakes and a mean hot chocolate in different types too... Probably loads of good coffees and teas too. Brilliant friendly staff in a busy place yet good for meeting up etc. handy place to wait for a train too.
A. F.
I would say Yorks Cafe is one of the best places in Birmingham for coffee and cake.
They roast their own coffee which is absolutely delicious.
The decor is quirky with high and low seating, big windows to watch the world go by.
Good menu with options for all dietary needs.
The Cafe is located on the corner of Stephenson street and Pinfold street, 2 minutes walk from New Street station.
Highly recommended ☕
H. C.
Great atmosphere, delicious coffee, well decorated, nice music and polite staff. Not the warmest especially near the door, slightly hindered by the tram roadworks outside- but overall a lovely little cafe nestled in the centre of Brum. Coffee mugs could be bigger. Thanks.
C. l.
Certainly not the best breakfast in Brum by a long way. Poached eggs were more like boiled eggs and the bacon was past crispy and was rock solid. The wife’s poached eggs on toast was also over cooked - tbh the whole thing was over rated and over priced. Sorry to be so straight but best you know the thoughts of clients after they have visited. Staff were pleasant and atmosphere was relaxed. Would return but would change my order for sure.
N. T.
Nice place for my breakfast in interesting building very close to new st station. Not cheap but ginger tea £2.60 was out of a jar, not a teabag, placed in a small glass container inside a larger one with the hot water. Different. Colleague didn't like the coffee but maybe that is a personal thing.
R. H.
Lovely service, wonderful coffee, what more do you want?
J. M.
I will say thisis one of the best place do brunch and also coffee.
staff was so friendly and food was amazing.
they also do a lot option food for vegan which is good.
will definitely back!
C. M.
Lovely breakfast with some good alternatives to the usual type of things offered elsewhere.
C. P.
Good selection of hot drinks--coffee taste isn't my personal preference but others love. Great food menu with unique, fresh ingredients. Would recommend for a small, informal meet up with friends in town.
A. N.
Great food & relaxed vibe. Lovely welcoming staff, great atmosphere & easy place to sit for a while.
A. G.
Lovely small coffee shop. Food was delicious👌
G. Q.
I come here at least 3 times a week whilst working away in Birmingham. Everything from the coffee, food, venue and staff are amazing. They roast their own coffee beans here and the baristas know how to make an amazing flat white. The cakes are delicious too, many of which are vegan (which I didn't think I'd like). Definitely one the best independant coffee shops in Birmingham Central. Come here for a quick chat, meeting or just to get work done, it's a winner!
M. A.
A cafe with espresso drink options and food / snacks menu.
Their time is matcha latte is to go for if you like that green tea drink and try their waffle chicken dish if you don’t mind friend chicken with some syrup twist to it.
The space is busy but worth the visit.
H. Y.
I had eggs benedict - it was good and tasty. Unfortunately, the portion is very small and it wasn't really worth the £10 I paid. Tasty but well over-priced... :/
J. E.
Avocado & feta smash on a smooth charcoal sourdough toast, cleverly spiced w/ lime zest, chilli and mint. Enjoyable bright crisp and aromatic roasted coffee. The English breakfast York House was visually unappetising, watery and over-cooked. However, there’s a very attractive number of cakes that you should not say no to them.
It was unexpected the need of finding yourself your own table and cutlery. The place is very centric and nicely decorated. The staff looked smiley and very friendly.
R. L.
Venue is modern and clean. It has free WiFi which is always a benefit. Also I’m a huge fan of herbal teas and the variety and the quality of herbal tea is great. Coffee is also second to none and the best of all it’s roasted locally in Birmingham. This place has less of a corporate vibe but it’s more of a place that you feel like you’re a part of the York’s family. Movie night was also a great idea which I’d like to see come back ASAP! Simon, the owner is also a delight!
M. B.
Lovely cafe and v friendly staff
L. S.
this place is GREAT, and their vegan chocolate orange cake is to die for. i love the vibe in this place and you can even buy the independent art work off their walls. Also the staff are really chatty and friendly
e. m.
Very different, nice atmosphere but the food is a little overpriced. What was expected and what I received for £7.50 I could have easily made at home. Good for social, something different, vegan cakes and a quick meet or workspace spot.
M. P.
Incredibly pretentious aesthetic yet, justifiably so. Great atmosphere, the tea is also great and the shawarma is wonderful - served on a bed of fresh salad with a savoury subtle spice to it. Not the spiciest thing by any standards, but it is comforting to eat!
M. T.
When I was planning a day trip to Birmingham to visit Cadbury World, I was looking for some good places to eat. Yorks Bakery Cafe came up on my search. I looked at the menu, and everything sounded really good, plus - the prices were pretty cheap.
It's about a 5-minute walk from Birmingham Moor Street station. My friends and I arrived at around 11 am on a Thursday. There were a few people dining there, but more people ordering coffee to go. They seat you, give you menus, you order at the counter, and then they bring the food out to you. I ordered the shakshuka and added bacon, which was excellent. The portion was the perfect amount for me. The bread that it came with was a little hard, but the dish itself was so good that it made up for it.
Would definitely recommend Yorks if you're in Birmingham.
S. A.
Ordered coffee beans for delivery over 1 week ago, status still says unfulfilled.
I have now recieve them today.
However there wasn't any communication over my order which maybe they could work on.
C. R.
Traveling regularly on early trains I am always on the lookout for good breakfast spots at my destination. This really is excellent. The Arabian eggs are wonderful as is the eggs Benedict. Really recommend.
L. D.
Decent coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. This is one of the better looking coffee shops in the city, and the food (especially the lunch menu) is surprisingly good. Try and get one of the few seats outside on a sunny day!
S. L.
Slightly weird that the lunch menu doesn't start until until 4pm on a weekend! But thankfully the breakfast/brunch menu, while being a bit limited in scope for lunch options, was very tasty. And it's a nice bright and airy place to hang out for a while over something to eat and drink
A. C.
It's a perfect spot if you're a coffee fan, also they do amazing brunch and cakes! 😍 I visit several times a week and it never fails me. Been there for several occasions - work, dates and catch up with friends!
A. S.
My favourite place to get a coffee in brum. Their cappuccino is a step above the rest and if you're in the mood for breakfast they serve it all day! Great selection of food and cakes and even baking supplies such as flour.
Do yourself a favour and pass on by the fleet of chain coffee shops and support this superb establishment!
C. B.
I found this place by searching 'public toilets' on maps after getting off a Megabus. The shakshuka was delicious and nice coffee too. Not an everyday place due to the price! But very nice and great if you're looking for something a little different.
Π. Β.
This place is really nice to go with your friends for a coffee but it's ok if you go for lunch. I am not excited with the food. I liked the decoration but I did not like that the back door was opened very often so my back was cold after some time. Really nice service. Definetely recommend it.
D. A.
good food but very hipster! watch out for hot skillets!
J. E.
Avocado on toast was mainly Feta Cheese featuring some very thinly spread Avo, tasty but not what I thought I was getting.
Bossman ordered a fry up, served in a cast iron frying pan (I liked it, he hates it) with very dry baked beans and barely cooked sausage and bacon.
Coffee was great, but orange juice option was Froobishers.
Will definitely try again and hope for some improvements
s. p.
Had a very nice milk hot chocolate and flat white; both expertly decorated. Also a good chat with your staff member, Harry, who you could say 'cast a spell on me'. I very much enjoyed his signature on my loyalty card ;)
F.
Flat white was tasty but Luke warm
S. J.
Nice place for a breakfast or lunch or just a coffee.had scrambled egg and salmon on toast. Nice
C. M.
Very pleasing laid back atmosphere, lovely staff who dont hurry you along with home made cakes and coffee.
I would recommend this out of the way coffee house, well worth a visit.
T. K.
Beautiful coffee - some of the best in Birmingham. Toilets are pretty dodgy and the end of the bar is a bit of a mess (for stirring they just seemed to have two containers of sticky spoons, handle-side down). Worth it for the coffee though.
S. F.
Brilliant food. Good service.
It ain't cheap but you get what you pay for.
Anywhere that roasts their own coffee and makes their own baked beans has to deserve 5 stars.
Go there. It's ace.
M. V.
Super friendly and attentive staff. Lovely food and good quality coffee
D.
York's is an excellent place to have coffee, breakfast, brunch... The food is excellent, especially the shakshuka and the full breakfast (good quality bacon, meaty sausages with a hint of herbs, home-made baked beans using different types of bean, and perfectly cooked eggs). It is my go-to place for breakfast whenever I'm in Birmingham.
C. O.
Very expensive, fine coffee. However, interesting avocado on toast. Very thin toast, avocado spread thinner than a toddler pretending to like adult food would spread his marmite. And about 2 squared centimeters worth of feta crumbled over the lot. The poached egg was poached to perfection, it was indeed a poached egg. And the chilli flakes had flavour, a needed adjustment to this staple dish in the 'Instagram Foodie Cafe' strand of coffee shops. For just over 7 pounds, expected to feel slightly more like I had just eaten something. Once again though, the egg was indeed poached.
R. L.
Lovely cafe with the beans roasted on-site. Good non-dairy options. Always friendly service! Good food and cakes as well. Convenient near New Street station
W. S.
A lovely place for coffee and for food. Breakfasts are really excellent, with something for everyone, and cakes are a treat too! A regular haunt did anyone keen to relax.
A. M.
Friendly and welcoming, with a great coffee and a brilliant food offer including vegan, diary and gluten free. Highly recommended for anything from a short caffeine hit or a lazy brunch.
T. P.
Great shop, great coffee. Changes to their subscription service make it much easier to skip weeks if you've got too much. Nice work.
P. v. S.
Fantastic coffee, great service and great food. Try the Marrakech Avocado toast!
B. B.
I really like this place this is so comfortable and the food is so lovely
D. M.
Fantastic independent coffee roasters serving great brunch and strong, "proper" coffee. Cool industrial setting and atmosphere, best brunch spot in Birmingham
T. F.
Nice coffee; attractive decor and layout; friendly staff.
E. P.
Good coffee, nice cake. Since they moved, not very accessible with a buggy during peak time so don't go there often. Can recommend to a coffee lover.
B. H.
Lovely brunch and coffee house! A few gluten free options too. Not too busy and friendly staff!
A. M.
Best coffee. Lovely cakes. Brilliant service
J. W.
We had lunch here last Sunday, it was busy actually full of people...
we dont mind to wait a bit and after 5 mins we got table, food was brilliant and helpful staff with smile.
I will say its one of the best lunch experience.
Will be back soon
E. H.
Excellent food and quick service. My mum , who usually complains bitterly in any cafe, also enjoyed it and thought the food was delicious too.
T. R.
Consistently good coffee and really really nice brunch - definitely recommend if near New Street over the bland chains that dominate the area.
C. T.
Best place for brunch. Fantastic menu, very affordable, cosy interior but not cramped at all. Quick service, and staff were a joy.
B. C.
Excellent food and really nice drinks, had one I have never seen before but it was excellent, helpful and very friendly staff, well priced for the quality of food. Atmosphere was superb and served as a little escape from the city.
C. P.
The friendliest staff you could ask for. Amazing coffee, great atmosphere, cute venue. Not ridiculously expensive.
Best coffee in Birmingham :)
R.
Classic deli eatery. Hugely popular. We had to wait to be seated and this is a little hodge podge when its busy (meal times) but food was worth the wait and the staff never stopped. Definitely worth a visit but try and arrive before 12.
T. H.
Great stop for food before your train ride!
H.
A nice and aesthetic café located near the edge of the centre. Has a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for work and a variety of options. There is seating upstairs and downstairs.
C.
lovely food, nice atmosphere and location, staff very nice. a little expensive
L. P.
Only had a chai latte but was really nice! Friendly staff.
E.
Great coffee and breakfasts, superb service - great mix of old school cafe and new school coffee, with a mild undertone of gentle hipster pretentiousness, exactly how I like it.
S. M.
Coffee wasn’t great, small cup and tasted burnt. Food was good, I enjoyed the falafel flat bread and service was also good. Ok priced, just need to improve coffee!
J. D.
Some of the best coffee in Birmingham. Food is lovely although a but pricey for the size. Staff are all lovely and polite - clearly love coffee.
J. M.
Chicken waffle in maple syrup, really hard to imagine my breakfast was so so yummy ....
E. A.
Great little eatery in the heart of birmingham city centre. Good food, good coffee and a good atmosphere. Yorks have established themselves week quality in the city, the ikon branch is worth a go too.
C. W.
Good selection of food and great coffee. Can get a bit crowded at times making finding a table/seat difficult. But overall highly recommended.
E. S.
After much thought I am forced to upgrade my review from 3 stars to 4. This cafe really is amazing. very family friendly with rustic classic American food
v. t.
Lovely rustic interior, lovely strong coffee.we were served by Lori a very smiley helpful friendly lady.food was quick ,tasty and hot.
C. P.
The coffee is superb at this rather pleasant coffee house. The staff are very friendly and the menu is extensive. The location is convenient for the city centre, tram , buses and the railway stations.
Z. O. A.
Lovely place. The coffee, the cakes and the breakfast menu (love 'em eggs) are fantastic. Also nice customer service.
P. A.
Yorks Cafe & Coffee Roasters - lovely corner venue in B'ham City Centre with rustic yet modern decor, pleasant surroundings, great breakfast & brunch menu to cater for all tastes & great tasting coffee.
G. H.
Excellent cafe, spacious with comfy seats. The coffee and hot chocolate are very tasty and the eggs Benedict is one of the best I've had.
k.
Just in love with this coffee shop!!!
A.
Lovely place, great presentation ,great value!! Great service! 10/10
B. P.
Great food and friendly staff!
L. G.
Fantastic coffee in the heart of Birmingham, one of the most nicely decorated cafés in the city centre, and a quality cuppa. Highly recommended, staff are very friendly.
U. H.
I guess this place was good once upon a time, but poor customer service and poorly planned out seating really let's it down. The coffee was good, as expected of a non brand/main stream cafe.
G. D.
We came in the morning and the place was freezing. Ordered the avocado & feta smash and it wasn't great --old avocados, too citric and no sight of feta. Overpriced.
I. R.
Best breakfast I've ever had, as described, it's cosy, has a beautifully crafted interior and amazing food to match. Cannot complain about the price either.
P. M.
Lovely cafe with painting being sold and tasteful decor.
L. C.
Quite stingy with the avocado toast. Takeaway bacon sandwich was one peice cut into two. You need to be more generous. A sandwich should be two peices of bread not one! Shame as this place could be really amazing.
A. B.
Excellent customer service and food but please wash your cups, and spoons properly it's a real turn off. The Arabic poached egg thing was amazing.
A. W.
My favourite venue in Brum for brunch.
Very good coffee and I love their bit too help people in the city who are sleeping on the streets.
P. E.
Excellent 'small plates, good coffee, friendly staff and lots of character. Handy for New Street Station. Dog-friendly.
Y. “. H.
Good dining place and coffee is perfect!
k. m.
Very friendly staff, which made me feel very welcome, stylish decor and a lovely atmosphere however the only downside is that the portions were a bit on the small side nevertheless very delicious and freshly prepared.
A. V.
Good place, service can be slow at busy times though. House Breakfast very good and filling. The coffee is amazing!
J. G.
Great proper coffee! Lovely food & great atmosphere. If you're in Brum & love coffee its definitely worth a visit.
S. H.
Great coffee, really nice to place to sit got a while and I can imagine it will be even nicer when the various building project surrounding the place as complete.
s. k.
I've been to yorks a number of times and the food and atmosphere is great very relaxed, its a cafe you have to visit.
R. G.
Decent coffee and brilliant cookies. I've always found the sandwiches and doughnuts to be dry and not too flavourful, tried them on a few occasions now.
W. G.
Ever since I moved from Birmingham I've missed York's! Their breakfasts are incredible and they make better flat whites than me.
T. L.
Really nice setting, close to new street station. Coffee was nice and service was good. Guest internet wasn't good enough to do work on though, which was a shame.
L. M.
Nice place for having a brunch. You can ask for vegetable milk to put in your coffee. The banana cake was awesome.
B. B.
Such a nice cafe, great looking interior. Food looks pretty nice, loose leaf tea and filter coffee served. Will definitely be returning
A. W.
Brunch and coffee. One of the best spots in Birmingham 👌
A. W.
Mmmm cake and coffee.🍰☕
Really funky venue, good place to work from or meet up with friends.👫
We got tasty lates and chilles n chatted, enjoying the background music and people watching.🤓
The staff were nice enought to give us a reduction on coconut n rhibard cak because it was a small slice... small but delicous😍
V. B.
Too crowded for me but the coffee was lovely and the cakes are amazing. Nice coffee shop when not too busy.
B. W.
Cool industrial themed decor, this place has friendly attentive staff and offers amazing food and superb in-house roasted coffee. I recommend the Fried chicken and waffles!
J. Ž.
Very good place for breakfast 🍳
L. E.
Often quite busy, and the wait time for food was quite long when we visited, though in fairness to them they did let us know this while ordering.
D. B.
Nice ambience. Milk hot chocolate was grim though. Toast was lovely but lemon curd to go with it would have made it even better.
j. H.
First time visit, but i love the place, had brunch there. My girlfriend and me both love it, will be back!
S. D.
Based on a small long black but a nice place to spend a spare few minutes. Good quality coffee and friendly staff.
L. S.
Staff not the most friendly with dirty menus. Doubt I will be back -nice coffee though. My advice is order with you headphones on and take the coffee to go
J. C.
Great food, great coffee, friendly staff, but the music was too damn loud for 2pm on a Sunday, 5 star still tho GG yorks
M. B.
Fried chicken for breakfast, Yes please!!! It was wicked Nice flat white and the filter coffee was good too.
P. R.
Great café right near Birmingham New Street station and centre of town... Nice cozy vibe, nice decor and good selection of food and drinks.
M. D.
Amazing place. Coffee is definitely a must. Apple crumble cake is just out of this world. Also try the croque monseiour.
A. M.
Good coffee ( they roast their own), unusual cakes and good brunch options. Go for Arabian buttered eggs.
M. G.
Absolutely love Yorks. Their coffee is amazing, the vibe in and around the café is amazing and it’s a great place to tram watch 🤘🏾
M. J.
Been here twice now and will keep coming back, the food is great, one of the best breakfast places I've found in Birmingham
p. b.
Nice food, a little pricey, good atmosphere, 2 points of criticism, only 1 toilet for m/f so queuing next to tables to spend a penny, and main door didn't close properly, so a cold draft continuely blowing through.
W. L.
Atmospheric, Good staff. Cosy and busy. Limited seating. Food was good with ages different twists but expensive.
D. B. (.
Had coffee and a cake. Cake portions were at bit on the small side for the price, which seemed comparatively expensive. Cake wasn't great, a bit on the dry side.
s. w.
An absolute find! amazing cafe and service. Hopefully be back soon!
R. P.
Nice coffee and food, I would give 5/5 if the staff were more friendly. Smile guys! It costs nothing!
S. O.
Good coffee and service. Small place so can seem crowded but has a good independent feel and solid quality offerings
S. W.
Great espresso made from some interesting beans, really wish I could have checked out the food as the cakes on display looked really nice!
P. B.
Haven’t tried the food yet, but the staff were friendly, and the coffee was very good indeed 🙂👍
E. L.
Nice atmosphere, I had a double espresso and croissant, the croissant was ok not the best. Coffee was good.
C. S.
we had lunch here today, and we totally love it. staff good and food is perfect! we will comeback for sure
M. J.
Great breakfast in a lovely cafe style setting. Friendly staff and good quality food!
B. K.
Nice brunch and decent turn around times, it's often busy but thems the breaks when you do good stuff.
D. B.
Staff is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very nice and the coffee is good even though I prefer other notes in my coffee.
A. B.
Excellent coffee and just next to New St station. A much better bet than the big name places and a pleasant location to start the day.
P. W.
Top notch coffee & breakfasts! Décor and atmosphere is great inside with wooden tables and counter, interesting artwork and exposed brick walls
M. K.
Didn't had food but it's not restaurant so i will rate for coffe only . And coffe ... one of the best in town, very friendly staff , highly recommended.
g.
Food was really nice, only negative was overpriced for the quantity off food.
H. T.
Lovely coffee shop. Totally Instagrammable too. They have really nice food there too!
C. H.
Had a great peppermint mocha here, good independent cafe if you fancy something different from the Starbucks and Costa's of the bullring!
A. B.
I've been for brunch and lunch. Great food, lovely coffee, welcoming staff :)
A. P.
Yorks is my sons favourite cafe in Birmingham the staff are Great and food great

A. F.
Love the style of this place & friendly staff
R. J.
Amazing place amazing food and good staff. Highly recommended.
A. A.
Cosy place, nice coffee, great avocado dish! But I didn't like the scrambled egg, smells organic
H. S.
Good atmosphere, centrally located, a bit of a hidden gem.
T. H. J.
Great for quick catch ups or meetings. Excellent coffee and cake selection, their loose leaf teas are great too...
J. M.
Great location and good coffee. Selection of food available.
A. Y.
Amazing breakfast, great service, defiantly a place to try if you not been before, Eggs Benedict was beautiful
C. C.
Nice enough place to sit for a coffee, and clean toilets... That was my only interaction! Convenient location
Z. W.
Great place for branch, excellent coffee and food. Service however is quite slow and they've confused our order.
S. C.
Nice coffee shop just outside the city centre
D. R.
Weird thing to say but: Best. Toast. Ever. The flat white was a little stingy on the milk, but otherwise a great brekkie.
R. S.
Great brunch, excellent coffee and perhaps the best Brownie in Birmingham (you have to try it!).
E. R.
Great coffee and a convenient location. Free wifi and a well priced menu.
A. M.
Excellent service. Good food. WiFi not the fastest, but a great place to catch up with friends.
d. p.

m. z.
Too crowded. Coffee is good, food selection is varied but the taste can be mixed some good some bad.
A. S.
Great coffee, and a tasty and original menu. Always had a nice vibe.
T. S.
Good cosey establishment with friendly staff, choice of coffee and teas, choice of god to suite both vegiterians and non vegetarian, good place to meet friends and family
S. D.
Nice place to stop for a coffee and a piece of cake! Would recommend despite not the cheapest prices! Go for the brownie, really nice!
A. S.
Nice coffee and nice food but the music is more like a bar so it's not great for working or having a conversation.
D. J.
I go here a couple times a month for breakfast & brunch. One of the best house breakfasts in the city.
S. L.
Great coffee shop with a unique menu, definitely worth a visit.
D. W.
Great atmosphere. Very hipster. I've had better coffee though but it was quite acceptable.
A.
Beautiful cafe, acoustic gigs on a Monday, nice range of coffee and craft beer, and a lovely team of staff.
M. P.
Great coffee and great brunch! Always take people here and they love it!
S. T.
Great coffee, the baristas know how to make coffee without scalding the milk, which is quite rare in my experience.
B.
Great for breakfast. Remember to order your food at the counter using your table number, so don't forget your table number.
D. M.
Great coffee and amazing food! Yorks is probably the best place in town for brunch!
C. D.
Strong coffee and great cake! I would also recommend the shakshuka for brunch
M.
Very good brunch, place is a bit busy, might require some luck to get a seat
M. C.
Great coffee , good food, excellent service. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed.
R. I.
Fantastic coffee shop
Coffee roasted on site 😁 fantastic food but a little pricey
Really good, excellent ambiance and helpful staff
E. L.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff but the ginger tea was more like flavoured water than a tea.
J. F.
Very nice place. Great food and fast service. The Eggs Benedict was great.
R. B.
Coffee and the food is good, certain staff members on till can do with an attitude change.
K. T.
Visited this place as met a lady from work, great coffee and cakes, definitely coming again
V. S.
Excellent brunch spot, the coffee is great and excellent quality produce used to make the food.

K. T.
Best breakfast in Brum
C. F.
Pretty decent takeaway coffee. I would have preferred it if the coffee was hotter but I do like my coffee really hot.
f.
Lovely atmosphere.
You get small measures of coffee for the price though
I. B.
Love the place. A very nice independent café with great atmosphere and tea.
a.
OK... Very expensive for simple brunch food, the dishes look the part but I found the food to lack flavour and seasoning
K. B.
One of the best coffee. Amazing customer service. Great stuff guys👍
s. t.
Great coffee and brunch. Definitely the best americano I ever had
S. M.
Great coffee, great teas, great beers and drinks, great food and great atmosphere. A must visit when you're in Birmingham.
G. T.
I pop down to Brum now and again for work. I always make a point of stopping at Yorks for food and coffee. It's flipping marvellous.
S. L.
Fantastic coffee and very cheap for the quality
M. K.
Great brunch but don't suggest it during the busy hours
B. S.
It's a cool place but is a bit small and can get crowded. There's more seating downstairs though.
E. E.
Great breakfast and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning. Thank you
D. O.
