Reviews of Cafe Riva
M. H.
Lovely little beach front café. Good coffee and tea, and we really liked their pick-and-mix style breakfast menu. None of this "can I change my tomato for..." nonsense, we just ordered what we wanted and it was all lovely! It was quick service and they were friendly. Everything felt clean. The decor was nice. I'd really recommend!
L. C.
It was our first time at Cafe Riva for breakfast on Ester Monday, we arrived just after it was opened. There was no long waiting. We had a table outside with a beautiful sea view. The food was really good and service was nice too. I will come back 😊
D.
Just a beautiful place to come to on the Cliff's at Southbourne. Great prices, super service, great value. Buy a tea, coffee, something stronger or a full meal and sit outside on the terrace overlooking the bay with breathtaking sea views. Wonderful! 👍🍵🥂
A. J.
They have a great DJ on a Saturday afternoon. It's my favourite thing to do. Such a sense of community. All ages from 2 yrs to 92yrs! Dancing in the sunshine looking at the sea. Doesn't get much better than that!! The pizza van is lush too.

This cafe is sat in a lovely spot with beautiful views across the ocean, plenty of road side parking. Is was quite busy but the staff were very efficient, polite and helpful, the pic n mix breakfast is a great idea although I did feel some of the items were a little expensive. Coffee was lovely. Good amount of seating too. On our way back from the beach there was live music going on which was also good.
S. D.
We stopped for a toasted cheese and salad brioche with a lager. The food was good.
There are some tables for inside dining but most are outside on their patio and decking areas.
It gets busy so you may have to queue to order food and drinks. Once food is ordered and ready the staff serve it at your table.
The main cafe stops serving food at 4pm, however, they then open a pizza hut outside at 5pm. Not sure what time that closes though.
Great location and brilliant for children as the Cafe is literally on the beach. Outside dining area is also dog friendly.
j.
A fantastic place for breakfast. Marvellous wide sea / coast views from the delightful terrace. Great coffee, scrumptious pastries and cakes and generous cooked breakfasts served by friendly and helpful staff. We just had to return again and again. Perfect!!
N.
Nice view, service is OK. Good beer. Definitely a place for a 5pm drink if you are in the area.
D. M.
The best thing about the cafe is the location - within a few seconds walk of the beach. There is a nice little seating area beside the cafe. The customer service experience is dependant on who serves you, rather than all encompassing. Not the best coffee in the world hence the 4 stars.

Hired the function room for a party on 2nd July 2022
Have to praise the lovely smiley attentive staff they were great.
Good buffet .Would recommend this venue
And of course the great setting .
J. V.
Great food. Myself & friends usually meet up there for breakfast & then sit on a bench on the cliff. The great thing about breakfast is that you choose the items you want to create your own & pay per item. Free street parking & a park for the children to play
J. M.
Lovely cafe to sit and have a drink overlooking the sea.
P. S.
I had tasty burger, served quite fast. Reasonable prices as for cafe over cliff in this area. Quite nice place with plenty tables outside. There is also mini golf course which belong to café. Close to footpath which takes you down to beach. There is also lift
M. F.
Fabulous place - view over the sea on the cliffs, nice staff, fair prices and solid food! This Café has such a nice vibe - I have been staying here for a month and wanted to come back over and over again. Besides their standard offer there are many specials as Music in the afternoons of the weekend, a pizza van etc.
I can highly recommend!

Lovely bacon sarnie and great location, can be a bit breezy outside (not the cafés fault🤣) but there's seating indoors too. Understand these smaller places can't stock too many types of milk but skimmed would be nice. Just a personal preference.
K. F.
Great location on the clifftop, with views ranging from Poole Harbour in the West to the Isle of Wight in the East. Limited indoor seating, but, plenty of outside accommodation. On the down side, they require customers to queue inside to make their order and make payment and in times of high demand that can mean the queue extends outside and a long wait to be served. I also think that their prices are high relative to other nearby establishments, (but I guess that's because of the location and views).
On the plus side dogs are welcomed. The food is very tasty and well presented and served by some very lovely lady waitresses. At weekends and holidays they often have an outside DJ playing popular music and holidaying visitors congregate on the adjacent clifftop grassed area creating a wonderful holiday atmosphere. In addition, at those times, they have an outside cabin that serves hot and cold drinks, saving customers from having to queue inside. All in all a very popular place to visit.
T. W.
Lovely view and plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. Dog friendly (water bowls outside) staff enjoyed a conversation too. Coffee and apple cake, great
E. A. R.
First time i have been in cafe Riva
Its clean, food lovely hot and cold drinks
Very nice.
Loo very small but they do have public loo's 🚻 just round the corner
Open space for children to play lots of dog 🐕 walkers seting era fun day out
s. m.
Great afternoon listening to live music in the gazebo outside in the glorious sunshine.
A. O.
Nice and a lovely place to be. Cool and fresh air. The staffs are welcoming.
J. K.
Nice location with a view! Great choice of breakfast
T. G.
What a lovely place. Us two enjoyed breakfast and late night pizza.
M. S.
Lovely cafe, with amazing views!! It does look a bit tired, if I am totally honest and looks like it has mashed together with different parts being updated at different times. However, who cares about that? When it is clean, nice staff and they keep the prices at an affordable level. They had gluten free cake! Yey for me! They had vegan cake! Yey for vegans! So they really have tried to cater for everybody. You can buy alcohol from the bar. Apparently there is music in the evening Friday and Saturday night. There is a play park literally 100yrds away and a mini golf course which we played on for £2.50 each! Had a wonderful time! Kids had a wonderful time! What more could anybody ask for! 😁 parking was free! An affordable place for families to go that will not break your bank! And jeez do we need a bit of that at the moment! Thank you 🙏🏻
T. H.
Great place for a coffee and cake, or ice-cream, or something more substantial. Small but cosy. The only cafe like it in the area near free parking, near a playground and on the clifftop. Worth a visit any time of the year.
Y. B.
Just an update…. It opens at 8:30, but for coffee and cake only. Don’t stand in the queue hoping to order a full English till the kitchens open at 9am.
I suggested they put a note on the door to that effect, but that was just met with a shrug…. 🤔🤔
Great location on the cliff top. Staff are always helpful** and friendly**. They are very COVID organized. Delicious bacon rolls and lattes.
E. S.
Stopped by for Sausage and Bacon baguette this morning, was very impressed the quality of bacon and sausages was superb. Dog enjoyed as well will be back!
J. S.
Been here several times now. Lovely selection of cakes and a nice mix of meals and lighter meals and snacks.
Something for everyone.
K. P.
Great little pit stop with beautiful views and access to the beach below.
C. M.
Very nice location. They allow dogs which is great. Coffee could be better blended . They charge 50p for use of credit or debit cards. The prices they charge covers any cost. £2.70 for a small cup of coffee. Nice happy place. Would give 5 star's, but for the 50p extra charge for using a card. It would just make me think twice about another visit if I don't have cash and go over the road. A small big thing.
S. B.
Great sunny views, excellent menu and extremely pleasant staff. Well worth popping in at anytime 😊
I. V.
I love the sea view and the atmosphere. Coffee is not great but love their cakes.Yum!
T. G.
Superb cafe, had fabulous breakfast and the staff were lovely too.
G. T.
Very popular. New coffee machine, so a very long wait for service with a queue reaching from door to door. Apologised.
No ventilation, I could feel, with the doors closed. Occasional dog allowed to wander. Had our coffees outside.
H. T.
Lovely cafe on the cliff top. Very pricey for what it is but I guess you pay for the view.
C. B.
Came along today with my sister, her youngest and two of my kids and felt comfortable and welcomed by the staff. They even do gluten/wheat free buns for burgers etc so I was really impressed as a lot of cafes and restaurants/takeaway places don't do that. Bit of a delay for my sisters bacon baguette and unfortunately sold out of the kids burgers but that's not exactly a problem as they had other kids options which they enjoyed. Very friendly lady served me and was chatty and kind even on her lunch break. Personally I'll be coming back again. Great work guys with great service and food.
J. W.
Lovely little cafe in a great location.
Had a coffee and a scone, very good prices and great quality.
Outside and inside seating available, and staff are frequent and helpful.
Would reccomend to anyone:)
S. M.
We visited about 11.30am Saturday morning. Great breakfast (served until noon), great views, prompt service, decent coffee.
Sweet treats looked yummy too!
Crazy golf kit hired out here too for some simple seaside family fun!
S. K.
food good ,dog friendly ,outside space could do with some tlc and maybe a bit of planting especially for the summer.
j. g.
Great cafe. The evening music and pizza sessions are amazing
S. W.
Expensive, young girls serving food, but dog friendly
M. S.
We went for breakfast this morning and were very disappointed in both the quality of cooking and overall lack of service. It seemed to be understaffed and run by teenagers who were doing a job rather than providing a service. Sorry but need to up your game.
J. B.
Great place on cliff top popular with families dog owners. Play area super views.
Toilets nearby and cliff lift in summer
M. R.
Cliff top cafe . Great views, the Purbecks to the West the Isle of Wight to the east. Food is decent enough all day breakfast £7.75. Teas coffees and cold drinks incl alcoholic. But it's the view that makes the place.
M.
Good food good prices friendly staff. Regularly have drinks here, and locally made cakes and on the few occasions we have had meals they well done and nice portions.
B. P.
Smashing sandwich and a cold beer in the sun. Friendly service. Love this place
H. C.
Lovely location and value food.
L. M.
Super views. Great place to meet up for lunch or coffee and look at the sea
W. C.
Great place to eat fast and friendly and amazing views 👌
S. C.
Agree with comments nice food and drink but SERIOUSLY need to consider their sustainability. No China cups plates for outside due to breakages....really?Paper cups with plastic lids ,tin foil trays sitting right outside the cafe and nowhere to recycle any of them ....not great
P. H.
Lovely hot sausage roll and hot chocolate. Staff were friendly and chatty. What more do you need? 😁
C. W.
Nice location, staff friendly, always a treat.
E.
Lovely spot to sit and have a drink and bite to eat. Great cakes, only reason not giving 5 stars is that the coffee is from machine. Is perfectly good, but not exceptional. However, the location is wonderful, especially on a warm summer's day sitting out looking over the bay.
L. H.
Good burger and diversified menu.
Amazing place.
K. R.
Great little cafe. Stopped by for breakfast. Seating indoors and out. Good breakfast menu, you can pick each item and build your own breakfast. Reasonable prices too. Great view of the sea from most tables. Recommended
M. W.
Nice location good menu. Outside furniture looking a little tired.
A. S.
Great coffee stop with lovely sea views. I bought a delicious coffee and two fabulous cakes for a steal at £7 (I can recommend the Bakewell slice). Café Riva does not over charge like lots of seaside businesses!
The staff were friendly, polite and quick. They have plenty of indoor & outdoor seating with dogs allowed inside & out!
I would definitely come here again, it was a delight.
A. A.
Definitely value for money, friendly staff. I'd go back again.
T. B.
Best bacon sandwich ever.
Still good but cafe very weak even with an extra shot!
D.
Lovely fish and chips with a lovely view .......my son ripped his jacket on the metal windowsill here. So be careful if you sit In the window it was quite sharp
J. R.
Very good Cafe loverly views.
D. P.
Had a day trip to Bournemouth for a break from our busy volunteering lives.
Called in here by chance, and was so glad we did.
Croissants and coffee was superb and reasonably priced.
Coffee was from a machine yes but it was acceptable.
Will visit again.
A. J.
Good breakfast. Went early as can be extremely busy in all weather conditions. Dogs are welcome
P. F.
Lovely people and place ☺️ so good with the doggies.
N. M.
Nice coffee and lovely position looking out to sea.
J. W.
Pretty basic caf, good looking breakfast. Perfect for a family lunch at the beach but a bit cramped / lack of social distancing possibility
J. C.
Good choice of food. Lovely views
j. r.
Excellent location, country needs more little gems like this one.
M. P.
Had an amazing full English breakfast. Superb views, delicious food, very reasonably priced and wonderful service. Will definitely be back.
W. S.
Good views but poor coffee
D. D.
Sat here for coffee and catch up with a friend while Air Show was on. The coffee used to be very unimpressive but something has changed and we had a very tasty drink this time along with a DJ to set the atmosphere and not forgetting the beautiful view out to sea.
C. L.
Great cafe stop, lovely views and good food
S. B.
Very nice place to eat and drink. Lovely views all good
C. A.
Delicious food and great view
A. W.
Plenty of seating outside and inside. Reasonable selection of food, at good prices. Good choice of gluten free desserts, clearly labelled. Staff were friendly and quick. Chose jacket potatoes. Well cooked and generous portions, that arrived very quickly. Very tasty, too. Outside furniture was a little tired, but good provision for elderly and babies. Very convenient for cliff top or lifts down to the promenade. Superb views out across the bay.
K. P.
Surprising open and serving drinks!!! Newly updated with seating, but still the same great service and comestibles!!
P. A.
Nice little cafe and bar, great sea views
G. D.
This cafe has lovely views of the sea and has a nice outdoor area too.
We only had a latte and biscuits but it was good coffee. The menu is quite extensive.
It was busy when we arrived and this probably accounted for the purely efficient service. I'm a great believer in a pleasant smile and a friendly greating.
T. C.
The main meals I get here are cheese pizza which is a very good price and can serve 3 people comfortably, and spaghetti Bolognese which isn’t quite bad generous with its portion sizes is still very reasonable.
Staff are nice, food is well priced, the only thing I can complain about is the price of deserts. There just not the best, but hey it could be worse.
Overall:
5 Stars
A. t. H.
Lovely array of cakes here with a wide menu, most if which I'm yet to sample. The cheesy chips looked great though last time. Chocolate fudge cake and cream was delicious. This place is dog friendly to those needing that, and offers views out to sea.
P. B.
Great accessable location, plenty of distanced seats, wide range of drink's, extensive selection of local food and quality food cooked within. Exterior seats can be damp with early dew, funnily not many exterior bins for your coffee to go cups. Very good otherwise ☺️
S. K.
Lovely customer service and food
N. N.
Lovely cafe with yummy food and absolutely stunning views! There is also crazy golf (basic but cheap) and a play park nearby.
r.
Lovely views, nice food and service
T. A.
A good selection of ice cream, a little bit on the pricier side.
J. A.
Perfectly located with nice views and nearby playground, also very dog friendly. Vegan sausage roll not recommended.
G. D.
Lovely place for a bite to eat and a seaside view. Busy but to be expected for such a lovely cafe.
D. M.
On the cliff top at Southbourne . Views from Isle of Wight to Studland.. where the sun set this December afternoon. PS coffee and service great too, as was the food.
F. M.
Had a lovely lunch here, a very nice chilled pint too. The portion size had me beat. The staff are very welcoming, having my two Scottish Terriers with me, I did have water provisions me etc, however the waiter came over with fresh bowl of water for them without being asked.
C. B.
Excellent lunch here. Luckily weather was good as had to outside due to Covid restrictions. Should be allowed inside again now. Pleasant and helpful staff.
j. w.
Lovely helpful staff.
Great place for breakfast before coastal walk. Love the fact you could choose what to have in your fry up. All beautifully cooked and loads of toast ..
D. T.
Great position on cliff top overlooking bay. Sadly a little small and had to wait a while for limited staff to catch up with demand, although they were very pleasant . The coffee and tea were alike to those served at the bus station in the 70s together with Eccles cake in a plastic bag. The shortbread with date filling was awful, maybe it was old but it was like eating powder with the date filling. When you compare with the lovely home made cakes on offer at nearby Hiker Cafe its surprising. The cooked food looked ok, but with the number of cafes locally, could do a lot better with such a great location.
s. c.
I came to this cafe because of the location. Sadly all looking a bit tired and run down. Old broken tables with tape on still on the patio, dumped steel.kitchen table on the grass outside the back kitchen door. Could do with a refurb
iinside.
D. A.
A lovely clifftop cafe with beautiful views and friendly staff. The pick and mix breakfast gave great choices and the food was delicious!
b. a.
Lovely place. Right on the cliffs. Great view towards Hengistbury Head in one direction and Poole and Weymouth on the other. Easygoing, polite, warm and friendly people running the place. Dogs allowed in and fresh water bowl outside. Cooked food fresh and tip-tip without being over-priced. Seating inside and plenty of space with seating outside. Great breakfast and, for me, very tasty fresh jacket potato with chilli and cheese. It’s my local food place and I wouldn’t swap it for any other one nearby.
J. C.
An enjoyable cream tea on a sunny autumn evening, friendly staff and a reasonable price. It can get a bit windy here up on the cliff top, I suggest finding a sheltered spot if you can. On a sunny day it is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy a bit to eat.
C. S.
Lovely little cafe on the cliff edge always good service, breakfast is a good one to for on Sunday morning walk by the beach and the path way from the beach is so handy it takes right to it neally! Yes i would recommend here to friends .
M. L.
I'm a Chauffeur who frequently travels between Gatwick and Bournemouth. I found this cafe purely by chance after dropping off one client and having a couple of hours to kill before picking up my next client. Initially I was over the moon with my discovery, the sea view location was excellent, the food was very good quality, cooked to order and very tasty. However, I was dismayed to find myself surrounded by an endless stream of wet, smelly dogs of all sizes fresh from their morning swim in the sea. It completely spoiled my enjoyment of what could have been a regular destination for me. Is it even legal to allow dogs into restaurants? Much as I enjoyed my breakfast, I'm afraid that I won't be returning to this cafe. Such a shame.
J. F.
Very busy which is a good sign.
T. M.
We ordered cheesy chips and drinks which arrived quickly. Seating is outside at the moment but the few drops of rain didn't dampen our mood.
T. B.
Good place with dogs inside or outside. Quick service, coffe and cakes. Nice view in good weather. This place is by the sea on the cliff so the wind is always around. They have got crazy golf outside. Really good location. And plenty seats are outside. Staff is helpfull. Last time I tried icecream, but the staff noticed it was melted... Before I bought it. So i give it a try next time.
S. B.
Great place. Really friendly team. Lovely food and coffee.
N. D.
Stunning views, friendly staff, plenty of seats outside, fenced area with sand which is good when come with younger kids.
Coffee is great. Mini golf and playground with sand nearby. Golf area is a bit neglected, though it doesn't affect the experience.
No baby changing, but there's a public loo nearby with a changing room.
To sum up, it's a great place to spend time in good weather!
G. J.
The food here is tasty and reasonably priced for the quality. Going to go back soon as the eggs Benedict looked amazing. Dog friendly and plenty of seating inside and out. Beer on tap.
L. C.
Only been twice but friendly helpful staff. Went between lockdown 1&2 so had the benefit of sitting out in the sun. Different circumstances this time but still as good. Felt safe on both visits with staff very good with covid compliance.
M. A.
Can't praise enough.
Fish and chips beautifully done with side salad and tatare sauce.
Very filling.
Highly recommended
A. F.
Love this place, great views and great value for money. Love the goats cheese and onion chutney toasted panini and their garnish salad is yum unlike other places where they just serve a bunch of old dry leaves. Colourful and delicious dressing
P. H.
Nice atmosphere cool setting
P. 1.
Pleasant cafe in a beautiful location. We go here frequently and we are always pleased with the service and staff. Would recommend to anyone passing in the area!
K. B.
Walked the dog on the beach and on the way back to the car, I saw the sign saying dog friendly and doggy ice-cream ect. so called in for a coffee but noticed that they were licenced, so had a pint of my favourite cider. The staff were very friendly and each one came over with a treat for my dog.
J. A.
Great views overlooking the sea from the clifftop listening to live music at designated times sitting outside eating simple, good quality food.
S. G.
Pleasant cafe, but very overpriced. I ordered a jacket potatoe with beans and cheese, very small portion especially the beans and cheese and the smallest side saled I've ever seen. So it was all OK but for £6-50 not great. Great location though
G. T.
Nice staff, Cornish pasty was good, you can pay with card.
O. W.
I used to come here years ago and it hasn't changed, although it does now appear to have a toilet note . Great views, pitch & putt, crazy golf. Tea for two, £4.00. Not bad for a quick stop off. Very close to a good play area.
J. G.
Most would tolerate a lot just to sit out here on a sunny summers day and gaze out over the Solent. The nearby free parking stretch encourages repeat visits, the prices seemed a bit over the top, but the site was very clean and appeared well kept and maintained. No reason not to go here, we need to treat ourselves now and again.
I. L.
Great place, been here mamy times, always good to pop in and have a coffee with amazing see view 😃
C.
Friendly, reasonably quick service, a good selection of food and drink, not too expensive. The cafe is on the cliffs and has seating indoors and out. Dogs are welcome and they sell dog snacks. Parking usually available along the cliff road or in a side road.
S. G.
Good food in a seafront location and served by friendly staff.
K. R.
Really nice ice cream.
P. P.
Excellent cafe serving great food and drinks in a knock out location. Dog friendly to boot. Grab a seat by the windows and drift off watching the sea whether summer or winter
M. E.
This place is always a winner in my book, come rain or shine. Whatever the season, the views are sensational from the Isle of Wight to the Purbecks and are worth the price of a coffee alone to sit and wonder at! The coffee and (what looks like?) home-made cakes are smashing enough to come just for those too. Can take ages to get served in the Summer - almost off-putting-ly so. There are a couple of fun golf courses for little and big ones to while away some time and the place is dog friendly outside, with a water bowl available. HIGHLY recommended!
J. K.
Very nice place with great view. You can find tables in the sun as well as in the shade. Good coffee and cake, very nice staff. Recommended place 👍
E. R.
Simple yet mostly tasty food and great location... but kids meals were very small - normally I get leftovers, but my 6 and 8 year old both finished theirs and were still hungry!
L. J. T.
Great views but irrespective of how many times you visit, there's no acknowledgement from the staff. I guess it's the nature of it being a tourist spot. The food is okay but don't expect gourmet. The little hut nearby is also their's and serves ice cream and other nibbles. But bear in mind that for some reason staff don't wear gloves and handle money too
M. B.
Nice location on the cliff top with great views whilst enjoying a reasonably priced latte.
L. K.
Right on cliff top overlooking beach. Tables in or out but self service. Although I gave it 5 stars I won't be returning because prefer waiter/waitress service as cannot stand for long.
O. Z.
Food I ordered was tasty (my wife said their tomato soup was perfect), prices are fair, especially for such spot, but the staff indeed wasn't really friendly, smiling or approachable. I liked them and I'm going to visit them anyway - for the view off the cliff!
J. C.
Great location and have enjoyed eating there in the past - last visit not so good. Sunny Saturday morning, only 12 customers in the place but 10 minute wait to order and 30 minutes wait for eggs Benedict.. Understaffed apparently...
R. B.
Cracking jacket potato with chilli! Lovely place for a quick lunch and coffee overlooking the sea.
J. T.
Nice views. Well located on cliff. Pricey for a cafe. Tables not cleaned between customers. Staff not holding door against wind for customers seated outside struggling with trays
M. G.
A beachside café that does great breakfasts ,coffee and cake and a popular destination for children families and couples walking the dogs. They have a lovely play area outside . Their cakes are homemade and tasty, well priced and the most beautiful view of the whole coastline .
B. B.
Good location and simple decent food but there is room for improvement.
J. G.
One of the most recommended cafes where to have a drink or meal whilst enjoying extraordinary and beautiful views, particularly when is dry and sunshine.
Prices are not bad, quite standard. Staff is patient, friendly and professional.
D. M.
Lovely views and breakfast. Mushrooms delicious! The weather was awful outside but being cosy and well fed made us a very happy bunch.
s. w.
Great views
Friendly place
a. b.
Good snacks and cakes. Lovely place to sit for a drink.
t. m.
Highly recommended, lovely coffee, lovely lunch, great service. Will be back.
J. S.
What a lovely dog friendly cafe & a great brekki!
B. T.
Typical cafe offerings. Breakfasts, sandwiches and drinks. Occasionally opens out in the evenings for private functions. Nice outdoor seating and ice cream parlour attached. Also offers mini golf adjacent to the premises
I. R.
Lovely, Latte, nice and hot on a cold windy day, plus a lil biscuit to go with it. Drinking water for our dog too 😊 great views.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. The Only Place To Be On Our Glorious Southbourne Beach.
U Have To Try There Beautiful Crafted Food Done With Love.I am a big fan of Burger Me Self And Bring On Those Chips and if it's a Snack or a Coffee or a sweet then it's our treat as U cant Beat .Spring is Hear Bring on the Cheer
P. Y.
Lovely coffee and cake 🎂
D. W.
This is right on the top of the cliff at Southbourne by the cliff and zigzag. The food is ok perhaps a bit pricey but they are right near the beach so it's not surprising. Sadly the queues often get completely out of hand and you can end up waiting for about 40 minutes. Would strongly suggest avoiding their air festival deal which is very expensive for not a lot! You're better off ordering from the cafe itself and sitting there.
R. C.
Great location with fantastic views. Menu is a bit limited and prices are high due to the location. Gets very busy on sunny days and is dog friendly.
J. W.
Lovely coffee and cake.
A. T.
Only went for cup of tea and cake
Y. B. a. B. H. T.
Nice and friendly service prices are a bit more than I would like to pay but as its close to the beach you normally pay a bit more.
L. H.
The breakfasts our very good fresh and tasty and hot when u get
R. R.
Nice place, friendly staff and good hygiene practices in place but sadly not the best cup of tea or latte we have had there. We will try again though.
P. M.
Great place to eat outside ,service was painfully slow but the food was excellent
I. C.
Great choice for Brekkie 👍
J.
I ordered the chilli with chips and was impressed with the taste and the amount I was given was huge for about £6. I eat out alot and the prices were good value. I asked if I could use the internet first before ordering my food and they said no problem and gave me a window seat with a sea view and plug socket for my laptop. Would definitely go back.
J. W.
Always friendly, efficient service. Nice hot drink and snack selection. Perfect location with good outdoor facilities nearby to keep younger ones entertained.
J. W.
Nice enough breakfast cafe with a perfectly adequate breakfast menu. Recommend scrambled egg over poached because the yolk came out a little cooked over runny
D. T.
Great Café over looking Boscombe Bay, just right for a bacon or sausage sandwich.
T. M.
Nice views and music at weekend.good prices only had drinks.
K. B.
Nice views, plenty of distance between tables. Food was delicious
L. W.
Great position on top of the cliff overlooking the bay and beyond. The coffee is so so, I think it's from a machine which is a shame. With a decent coffee I'd be happy to sit around for longer.
M. E.
Great views, lovely cakes and snacks. Excellent!
J. L.
Great views. Simple menu very nice young staff. Relaxed and simple. If the weather is good this place is perfect. Enjoy
A. H.
Nice to actually sit inside. Good coffee and selection of cakes etc
D. S.
Had a works Christmas do there. Staff very nice, food good (but no puddings / sweet! !!!). It's a small venue so not enough seats and tables.
S. T.
Always a long wait, but food ok though a little overpriced. Serving staff could be more polite too. Ice creams are really overpriced but they have the monopoly.
T. C.
Popped in for a good coffee and cake. I have visited this establishment a few times over the last few years and it does seem to have improved since my earlier visits. Recommended.
R. M.
love having my breakfast here before going on the beach, lovely bacon and mushroom baguette.
G. Ł.
Fantastic place with perfect location 👌
J. T.
The location is the big draw! Food's reasonable. Big shame that they've made the decision to only use disposable plates etc.
O. S.
Lovely staff and menu, great place to stop for breakfast, a drink or snack on a walk along the coast.
K. S.
Very well controlled seating areas and ordering system in one door out the next. Lovely setting and views.
C. C.
We stopped here after a walk amazing food and lovely coffee and not badly priced at all will be returning
D. S.
Nice location, for a sunny day stop but service seems to get overrun when they're busy resulting in some long waits. The pub across the road is cheaper but cafe Riva has the better views/location.
E. G.
