We went for sunday lunch for fathers day. it was lovely food i would highly recommend. Its very small inside so make sure you book, as they were turning people away who were walking in.

I would have given this little gem 5 stars but we did have to wait a VERY long time for our food. Nevertheless.... when it came it was absolutely delicious! We had the curry and lasagne which were tasty and piping hot. We sat at one of the tables outside overlooking the sea so we had a lovely view whilst we waited for our food. Popped in for lunch... Lovely! Really tasty food, with attention to detail. I ordered a fish finger sandeich and everything was excellent, not just the quality of the fish but also the creativity and taste of the side salad! Would definitely go back if in the area again.

Been a regular " Sunday lunch " for many years ! Best Sunday lunch in the area !

Pros and cons to this place. Food is very nice and lovely salads come with mains. The downside was the service. We’d booked a table for 6.15pm and by 7.30pm we still hadn’t had our food. The takeaway menu seemed to be getting served first. There was only one waitress and they definitely needed another one. If it hadn’t been for the fact the food was actually very nice when it finally arrived I might not be so complimentary! If they would get their service sorted a great little place to go.

Absolutely amazing place. Obviously the scenery is stunning and it is an amazing view while eating. But the food is lovely, so much range and so delicious and we had a limited range because of covid. All social distancing and precautions were in place so it felt safe. All of the staff were lovely, welcoming and accommodating. But mainly it was the food that was just literally to die for. Will definitely be coming again!!!!

Wonderful little place in Ogmore by sea. Just what you want after a day out walking in the wind & rain. Good honest food all home cooked by Hilary & Iain themselves. Oh & Hilary's cakes are great too. Nice to finish the evening chatting to Iain. Great place, a definite recommendation.

Fabulous reasonably priced restaurant standard food in a relaxed cafe style setting. Surprisingly varied and extensive menu. Be prepared to wait though, as service can be very slow.

Had Sunday dinner today. Best dinner I have ever had from away from the home. I had the lamb and probably received 6 slices. Whole meal was fresh and big portions given. Quite a small place so social distancing difficult. Recommend 100%

This is a top place to eat. The standard of presentation is outstanding and the taste of the food superb. The "kitchen" is not very big so to avoid disappointment it's worth booking. It has a seaside vibe with pictures and accessories that suit. Iain is in the kitchen and Hilary takes you order so the name is totally authentic. They have a board where they display the menu and there is always a diverse selection of meals available. There is a bar where you can get drinks to compliment your meals so for me it's the perfect venue.

The food was excellent, prices were fair, unfortunately the service was sadly lacking. We waited an hour for our food. There was only one member of staff 'front of house' to answer the phone, take orders, clear away and serve the takeaways as well.

We travelled down from Monmouth on recommendation. Superb food at lunchtime and the evening menu looked first rate. A bit cramped at the tables but it added to the ambiance! A nice beach walk finished it off afterwards. Will visit again. PS do try the curry!

We have been to this place 3 times. This time I had lunch there. We sat outside, enjoyed the sunshine and views of the sea. I chose the jacket potato with BBQ chicken, bacon and cheese melt, with a salad garnish. The meal was stunning, could not fault it. My husband had tea and a coffee and walnut cake, he said it was good too. They do a Sunday lunch, and serve wine and beer/lager as well.

I recently ate here as part of a group of 5 adults and 2 children. +Fast service: Considering that we arrived with no reservations + there was only one free table, our meals arrived with surprising speed. +Superb meals: Everyone ordered something different, and everyone was pleased with both the their dishes' quality (+quantity - we were hungry!). Their baked potatoes were particularly amazing; I think I'm going to try emulating their style given how much my wife loved hers. *My* favorite item was my starter mushroom dish. Delicious! Tasty variety of ice cream for desert, as well :) +View: Great view of the sea, even from our seating in the back. Lovely place. Thanks Hilary and Iain!

Well what a lovely little restaurant this is. Stopped in Ogmore and popped in, very clean, all screens up and tables isolated and the young lady behind the bar was all PPEd up. Ordered food and sat outside which was also covered and clean. Food came and OMG loads and very nice. I have never been here before but will be going again. Very very friendly, clean, nice ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fairly small inside, but if the the weather is good enough, there are a few tables out the front. Worth it for the view. I had the "regular" breakfast, which was more than enough to keep me going all day.
