Reviews of Bond St Coffee
E. C.
What a fantastic experience. So welcoming atmosphere and that smell.... CINNAMON all over. I couldn't see at first which cake smell so divine 😍 drinking Brazilian roast coffee I spot customers next to our table eating beautiful CINNAMON BUN 😋😍 I knew then that was the smell which welcome us and I need to try it. Freshly baked with vegan cream on the side still warm. What else do you need to start your day with cup of coffee to complete all that experience. For sure one of the places to try when you travel to BRIGHTON. I'm sure we will visit you again no doubt🥰🥰🥰🥰
G. D.
Probably the best coffee in Brighton... The staff are friendly 100% of the time, I love it here. Very passionate about good coffee 🤌
P.
Lovely coffee but I'm afraid I can only give 4 stars. £3.30 is very expensive, not sure why coffees are so expensive these days. Also, they are very small. With the majority of the cup air filled milk, you're getting maybe 100ml of milk and a shot of coffee. Also no WiFi? Wooden farmhouse style interior, chilled music.
A. T. T.
Staff is always friendly, pastries were nice but flat white was very average which was disappointing as they used to sell outstandingly good coffees. The owner should invest some of his/her profit to make the toilet and it's surrounding clean which is disgusting. At least a lick of paint and a new staircase carpet. Your café looks lovely and have a great atmosphere but come on, have some standards all the way through! Music was fantastic!
J. J.
Wow guys just wow. The juiciest coffees from the most tropical of lands. The best cinnamon buns with made with love and obviously cinnamon. If you live in Brighton and you haven’t made Bond St your local spot you clearly need to reject your friendship group, sell your possessions and start fresh. If you don’t live in Brighton and are just here for a lovely day trip then add it to your list because they make little pictures on top of the coffees that you can take a nice photo of and be the envy of all your online comrades.
P. F.
First stop on our one day visit to Brighton. Great coffee, lovely interior and great service. Mind your head if you go to the loo!
T.
One of my favourite cafe in Brighton. The choice of coffee roast and the sustainability story behind is a plus. Top quality cup of coffee. There were no cook food or BF/brunch just FYI.
M. O.
amazing coffee, if you are a geek they won’t disappoint you!!
Lovely atmosphere, friendly stuff
M. L.
The flat white I had was so smooth and delicate that I didn't even put sugar, which I always needed.
M. E.
Nice coffee but pastries and sweets are very dry and bland. Ok experience but would love to have better quality bakery items.
S. C.
Best coffee in Brighton by far. Great deal on a keep cup + your drink for £4 too .
S. C.
Quality coffee. Avoid the pastries though. Ordered a sausage roll, the sausage was very rubbery (extremely difficult to cut).
G. D.
Love this place. Down in Brighton for some headspace during Covid and these guys were so accommodating for me and my daughter. Lovely pastries (we had toasted banana bread and a croissant) and a cappuccino and babycino. All were awesome and the staff were really nice, kept space, really responsible with handgels etc etc.
Outside you’ve got a little bench to chill and take the Brighton lanes in and people watch.
Coffee was absolutely first class as well.
Happy Christmas guys.
i. i.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, they’re careful with measurements and clearly take in finding good coffees and good recipes
T. R.
This coffee shop is fantastic!!! It’s located in the laines in Brighton. The style of coffee is really appealing to sit with friends with a good amount of space or if you wanted to read a book and relax on your own also. I was extremely impressed with the level of service and detail in which the staff are interested in what you’re doing in the day, really chatty and friendly towards you! The coffee was also really smooth and rich, you can also request syrup and they actually add it on the side
instead of throwing in the coffee for you! Great selection/choice of food and drinks!
Overall the whole experience was great, or work in central London and it’s reminds me of those cool coffee shops there, but this one is even better!
10/10 for me.
s. l.
Great coffee shop, we visited nearly every day last year when we spent a week in Brighton. Amazing cold brew coffee, very tasty savoury muffins. Vegetarian menu, and focused on people drinking good coffee and not just people wanting to use free Wi-fi and work. Friendly staff, will back back
R. Š.
Absolutely loved visiting this place! From the friendly staff to the delicious coffee, I am sure anyone can find so many things to enjoy here. We ordered brunch, which was sourdough bread with some toppings and were flabbergasted at the awesomeness! The chef brought us the food and said he tried to make some random pesto out of leftover greens and if we could let him know whether we liked it after.
It was the best pesto to enter my mouth. The bread and quality of the food and ingredients made the whole meal TASTY!
Please visit this amazing little coffee shop 😊
B. F.
Horsham Coffee Roasters have exceptional coffee, and the quality at their Bond St Coffee cafe is excellent. Beautiful flat whites and lattes. Staff friendly and welcoming. Tasty pastries. I often buy beans from them. Highly recommended.
I. N.
Nice coffee. Cake and cookie selection is quite limited. Decent service and order arrived quite fast.
J. I.
I went in here with my family some weeks back and the staff were more than accommodating, the pastries they had were delightful, the filter coffee would satisfy any purist such as myself and the Scottish gentleman went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. 5 stars!
T. A.
Fast friendly service and good coffee! The staff had metal shirts on, so yeah, I love this place! 🤘🤘
J. C.
Good coffee and they denied my girlfriend's child like palette caramel syrup. If you like regular coffee this is the one.
J. Z.
Best coffee shop in Brighton - certainly our favourite. Their approach to coffee is very proper, always a nice selection of blends, good variety, superb quality. Only have oat and pea milk which is great, no paper cups to go so environment friendly.
DELICIOUS food - the chocolate and tahini cookie is the best, especially when warm and fresh!!!! Try it for sure!
Amazing interior, LAPTOP-FREE - no laptops allowed at the front of the cafe and in the entire cafe on weekends.
Very friendly staff and always lovely customer folk.
Bonus points for great lighting in the toilet :)
Z. A.
Popped in on a cold Saturday afternoon, looking for a nice, warm place for a coffee and to read for a while.
Greeted with a smile, friendly service, had my usual Americano, which was very good. Will definitely go back and try the food as well.
Not 5 stars, because the Owner needs to invest in a door closer to keep out the cold, instead of Customers constantly getting up to close the door!
D. C.
Great coffee with fantastic cakes and sweet treats. Dog friendly too!
O. J.
Gorgeous coffee, beautiful banana bread, wonderful atmosphere can’t wait to visit again!!!
Z. C.
Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff! The coffee was definitely above average but didn't blow me away. Would definitely go again
B. B.
Interesting coffee bar as central as you can get coffee good limited outdoor seating.. 😊
L. C.
Lovely Natural Ethiopian coffee brewed to perfection. One of the best V60s I've had, period. My wife had a flat white which was also very good. Recommended
M. C.
Fantastic coffee. Oat Milk Latte with Lavender syrup a highlight.
r. j. r.
Nice coffee and cakes in a relaxed
and friendly atmosphere. Loose tea.
Two steps access. Downstairs loo.
T. N. (.
Absolute rulers of delivering consistent coffee drinks. These guys take time to dial the coffee in every morning. Superb espresso's - 8 out of 10 are 'god shot' quality.
Plenty of coffee varieties for sale.
You can also recycle your coffee bags here.
9th coffee is free with their Loyalty card.
P. L.
First place we found in the UK on this trip that knew how to make a good piccolo.
Great coffee and very friendly staff, the perfect place to stop on our annual trip through the lanes.
D. F.
Decent enough coffee and attentive service. Sadly does not take cash though which is a sticking point as I don't like to use cards etc.
A. R.
Great place, chill atmosphere, friendly service, dog friendly, spacious and well ventilated. Great food and a nice range of it.
B. T.
Great coffee, fantastic service and decent selection of cakes and pastries - a lot of them are vegan friendly too. Large selection of coffee beans (all very recently roasted) which they offer to ground for you if needed. They also stock the standard coffee brewing kits (v60s, aeropress, filter papers etc.) So anyone easily can support their local coffee shop!
L. G.
One of the best in town , a flat white will cost you £3.20 but they taste great ,always a great choice of cakes and vegan options and are dog friendly
M. M. A.
This is literally the best coffee in Brighton by far. The place is very cozy, choices are really good, and the staff is a 11/10 every single time I have the luck, pleasure and time to come around! Highly recommended.
T. O.
The coffee ranks up there with best I've had in Brighton. Cinnamon bun was delicious - recommend getting the frosting too.
V. Y.
Amazing coffee! Banana-walnut cake (you can have it Toasted!!!!) with butter... and probably the best almond croissant in U.K.
E. C.
Great coffee, but was only offered batch brew for filter. Would have gone for a hand brew if I could have. The cinnamon bun blew my mind, I could have eaten 5 of them!
H. A.
Great coffee, and greater staff 💯
g. l.
Amazing Independent coffee shops with home made cakes ! Very good price for the quality
R.
Perfect little oasis for those looking for good honest refreshment. Well prices, well stocked with superb staff. Each and every member of the team made us feel welcome and put up with our constant requests.
Love the no laptop rules at the weekend.
If you are in Brighton and are looking for a offer or a quick bite go here. You will not be disappointed.
J. L.
Excellent flat white. I wanted to buy some of their coffee but seemed very expensive at £9 a bag for 250g. A couple of quid less and I would have bought several bags.
J. B.
They got my macchiato spot on. Really good coffee. We arrived around 11am on a Sunday and it was quiet but within 10 mins or so was busy with shoppers taking a break. If still didn't feel noisy or crowded, just right. Clean environment, peaceful, I'll definitely pop in again 👍
K.
Best coffee shop in Brighton.
Very friendly staff, amazing coffee!!!, delicious home made vegan cakes.
Go here if you want high quality.
G. Y.
One of our favourite places for a decent cup of coffee in Brighton. Even offer a tasty range of cakes. Not sure if it's Vegan, but the banana bread toasted was delicious. And so pleased to see they've introduced restrictions on annoying laptop users, who tend to hog the best seats and eak out a coffee over a couple of hours.
D. O. S.
The tastiest coffee in Brighton. This shop specializes in preparing the best coffee possible, so go here if you want high quality. Staff is friendly and seeing them work as they prepare your coffee is a pleasure. Skill and art
S. A.
Nice staff and a fabulous choice of coffees
S. W.
Fantastic coffee and staff, very knowledgeable.
J. N.
Being generous as this was my first visit. Place seemed nice, however did not live up to expectations. They were out of cold brew, so we went for iced lattes. The drinks were tepid to luke warm instead of cold, very bitter and metallic, lacking in any positive taste or natural sweetness, which suggests a poorly made shot. I expect better from a independent coffee shop, especially with a chain on the same street that would have made me a similar tasting drink. Music was bass heavy and all in minor keys making for an opressive atmosphere.
On a positive it seems cool, the sofa was comfy and it was a good escape from the heat of the day. Drifting aroma of coffee was good, left me thinking “why didn’t my coffee taste as good as that smells”. Staff seem lovely, and I’m sure they are more than capable. (On ordering I was offered a nice filter coffee instead of cold brew and I should have taken it)
I expect on a different day with a different order the experience might have been better. Ho hum.
t. c.
I've been drinking coffee for a long time and have drunk a lot in that time. I at first thought £3 was on the high end as it wasnt a large latte, but wow it was amazing to drink. The smaller size makes sense as I was completely satisfied at the end and I normally go for 16oz ones. The taste was quite fruity and rich but not overbearing. I'll probably go back tomorrow as I'm only here a few days. My girlfriend wasnt to fussed about her cold chocolate, but they specialize in coffee, so she can wait outside ;)
G. R.
A coin toss over whether this does the best coffee in Brighton or Twin Pines.
It's a hipster paradise. Walk in, order a tiny but fantastic coffee, sit on the bus seat or one of the other kitch stools and open up your Mac, it's welcoming and easy.
Great selection of croissants, pastries and light bites but not really a lunch venue.
One of my favourite venues in Brighton.
B. H.
Now that Taylor St. is gone, this place is the one to go for amazing specialty coffee. They do two different espressos, and two pour overs nicely showing off diverse flavour notes.
The sweets are amazing as well, the only thing that is missing is a nice cooked breakfast!
A. L.
I came here for a quick coffee and some food. My friend referred me to it and he was totally right. Wonderful coffee and environment.
r. p.
Amazing flat white coffee, It did take over 15 minutes from ordering to get the coffee but definitely worth the wait.
C. F.
Good …… and doesn’t it know it!
G. T.
Best coffee place in Brighton.
My favourite-one with a great selection of different varieties and countries.
Fantastic customer service as well.
Don't miss it!!
J. W.
Incredible coffee, amazing vegan cakes and really friendly staff. Love the reusable takeaway cups too - the best coffee shop in Brighton!
P. K.
Aside from making the best Flat Whites, and having the best Brownies, they also refused to take money when I came in to buy a cup o'tea for the homeless lad freezing outside.
The best people, the best Coffee, amazing Brownies. What's not to like?
I. A.
Coffee is grand, as you'd expect. But I wish they'd cover their food. The server was like "want anything to eat?" And I looked at the huge fly crawling over the sandwich "oh... No, I'm good thanks"
I said that, not the fly
D. D.
Amazing coffee - in my opinion, the best in town. Delicious cakes made in store. Gets quite busy over the weekend. Laptop use is discouraged.. no WiFi.
P. G.
Nothing special about this place. Personally I do not like their coffee but others tell me it is good, all down to personal choice. Good location and nice friendly staff. Much better than any of the big corporate chain coffee places.
J. N.
Best coffee in Brighton. Quite frankly it's about the best I've had in Britain.
C. F.
Lovely coffee and always something new to try. The staff are very conscious about getting you a tasty coffee. Friendly staff. Good cakes. Try the chocolate caramel slice thing.
L.
Best place for cinnamon buns! The people working here are amazing, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble!
C. G.
I have been visiting this cafe for over a year over the weekends now, it has changed faces and tactics, coffee methods and decor over time. They don't serve pour over or siphon and aeropress any more, you get a quantity treatment so to say...I don't like it, but that's personal. Their flat whites and long blacks are still amazing!
Their accessories and coffee to buy is astronomical even when compared to down town, well known hipster coffeeshops in London. Bond street use to rock with quality coffee and was a hide for the few to know, but now its very popular. "bring back the silo sandwiches Steve!" :-)
G. L.
Brighton is very well-served for coffee but Bond Street takes it to a higher level. Typically a choice of four single origins, two for espresso based drinks. Great quality and service, I've really found nothing to beat it here or elsewhere.
J. M.
I have to be honest and say I feel totally at home here. I love the coffee by Horsham Roasters, the Muffins and the ad hoc furniture. My dogs love the fuss that's made of them and the crumbs on the floor. The floor is perfectly clean its just in the nature of some dogs to vacuum clean wherever they go.
Drop in here and you might meet me and my three Beagle cross girls.
Seriously, don't miss out on this relaxed space and its amazing coffees.
F. `.
Great coffee. Good team. Air con. Nice place to relax forget costa & nero. This place is much better.
L. P.
one of the best coffees in town. the place is lovely with a hipster/alternative vibe in one of the more folkloric and busiest parts of town. a bit pricey maybe, but well worth it
v. c.
Great quality coffee. I had a Guatemalan single origin flat white. Nice place to relax. There are a couple of benches outside to sit in nice weather.
L.
Along with 33, Black Mocha, and Twin Pines, Bond Street has some of the best coffee in Brighton. Great service as well.
J. P.
Amazing service, really good coffee and a great atmosphere ! it is pricy but that’s because i’m a student. I love going there to do art with my friends :)
J. C.
Always fantastic coffee. Can't get enough of their batch filter. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, beautiful setting.
D. W.
My go to coffee stop when in Brighton. Strong coffee, good food
A. C.
Best coffee in Brighton by far.
Interestingly they no longer do takeaway cups, so bring your own if you want to do take out.
K. K.
Love the kind of an oldschool décor, music, atmosphere and quality of coffee. Staff always smiling and looking very friendly. Definitely one of the best coffee shops to have a look.
J. E.
Great service, great cinnamon roll, great coffee. A dash more icing on the roll would be ace but the pastry made up for it tenfold.
T. G.
Great coffee including decaf and air con. Particularly nice given it’s right in the middle of the busiest part of Brighton!
J. I.
A very busy cafe with a fair amount of internal seating, serving espresso and pour over coffees using beans from the Horsham roasters. A reasonable selection of baked goods and snacks.
J. R.
Update 28-10-2019
Usually I have no problem but I do suffer with chronic pain and was sitting right in the corner, i'd already made space for a family, it was busy, and gave up two chairs and even shared the table space , a staff member was basically asking me to leave because they were cramped for space and that I was using a small iPad I had to defend myself and say its not a laptop while everbody was on their phone basically small laptops, its ridiculous, she left me alone but came back to hurry me along, well I've been going elsewhere since.
.
B. M.
Wonderful. Perfect day for a perfect iced latte with oat milk.
D. J.
One of the best coffee shops in Brighton. Good roastery and recently gone completely single use free.
R. J.
Quality coffee and a nice place to sit and enjoy their drinks and snacks. Like most independent coffee shops, it's full of people working on their MacBooks but I won't hold that against them 😂
C. L.
Coffee is pretty good, the baristas aren't always that's happy to see you. For whatever bizarre reason they don't offer takeout coffee...
I. L.
ANAZING coffee for real coffee lovers. Downstairs toilet, great homemade cakes and pastries. Dog friendly and kid friendly, what's not to love?
A. D.
Among the top 3 best coffees in town, great atmosphere, with lovely staff and strong wi-fi. Great to hang out, great for work.
w. t.
Sources great coffee, serves it in a great cafe. Don't buy the beans here, wayyyy too expensive. Buy on their roaster website at Horsham Coffee.
C. W.

I had the Rwandan blend today as a long black, no need for sugar as it had so much flavour. Very grateful for the choice of bean.
M. W.
Great little coffee house, friendly staff, seats in the old display windows, good selection of coffees and they offer drip filter, which a fair few don't.

(Translated) If you want to drink a latte, cappuccino or espresso drink in Brighton, go to Bond Street Coffee ♪
I visited the cafe every morning even in Brighton, but not only the taste of the cup but also the comfort was the best ♡
Because it is a popular shop, there are many seats and benches on the street have already been promised.
