Good little shop for tea, coffee and pasty cakes but unfortunately no gluten free options. Also, quite sunny in morning and early afternoon. Will come back.

Delicious as always. We had a traditional cornish pasty and a vegan Thai pasty. Lovely 😋 Also had an oat milk decaf flat white which was horrible so won't be having that again. Think it was the coffee. Food is great though 😋

Had a lovely vegan sausage roll in this little shop. Great-looking vegan cakes and Cornish Pasties also available

Had vegan pasties. They're alright, nothing amazing. Nice coffee. It's a small chilled place.

The place is really tiny but the pasties are delicious and the staff very friendly. And the portions are good.

Coping well with COVID-19, the seating has been placed outside. The atmosphere down the street it is located on is fantastic, the North Laines is very much a must-visit destination.
As for the food they had two vegan options available, a spicier Thai flavoured one, and a tomato based milder one. I can vouch for the amazing Thai one, some incredible flavours and spice.
As for normal people food they have normal Cornish pasties, sausage rolls, and meat-based variants. The parents were very impressed with the Cornish pasty, well filled and nicely seasoned. They voted it Pasty of the week. Which hopefully doesn't indicate we eat a lot of them (but we are on holiday).
Very much recommend for a quick, tasty bite.

Cornish pasties aren’t my thing, but I come here for the awesome Vegan desserts!

I am so impressed by the array of vegan options offered here! Pre-vegan I tried the cheese and onion pasty which was absolutely delicious, and the vegan options are the same. (Meat eaters- they also offer a range of traditional pasties) They also offer a wide range of drinks and desserts (including a wide selection of fresh vegan cakes!!) Seating indoors is minimal but there is more in the street, or you can take your food to go.
Definitely one of my favourite places to eat in Brighton.

Mmmm what a yummy treat, I had a large Traditional pasty for my lunch and it was packed with filling and skirt beef, just how they should be.
Many other varieties were available, and I will certainly be returning here again when I next visit Brighton Delicious!

Best vegan cakes in Brighton. And actually outside of heavenly vegan cannoli I've had in London, this is the best vegan dessert I've had in the UK.
I'm less of a pasty person so can't really speak to their quality. All pasties taste ok-ish to me, never really more or less. Coffee could be a little better as well.
But the cakes are like 7 stars, so on average this place gets 5.

During this very difficult time for everyone, to find our favourite Cornish Pasty shop had adapted and were delivering frozen pastys around Brighton and Hove made our day. I contacted a few friends and neighbours who were happy to order too and placed a large online order to Ian at the shop. Nothing was too much trouble and the very next day a large box of delicious pastys and vegan sausages rolls (which I personally think are the best in town) was delivered by a lovely smiley young lady, from a safe distance of course! Now my freezer is stocked up with lovely flavoured pastys from traditional to pork and apple, veggie to vegan. Ian if you could perfect a Gluten Free pasty you would make my sons year! Highly recommended.

Small independent cafe in the Laines and also in the Laines mould. A wide range of homemade pasties claimed by the shop as genuine Cornish fare - there really is a good variety here (we saw 6-7 kinds) that you don't even find at pasty chains. The soup we had was lovely too! Will surely go back again!

These Cornish Pasties are so meaty, with gorgeously textured pastry, they are scrumptious! Simply order one or two, take a seat and watch the world go by. For me, took me back to when I was in Cornwall. Now wash it down with a nice tea, coffee or hot chocolate hmmm! Lol... Marvelous!

Friendly staff & great food. Really good options & tonnes of choice for vegans. My fave has got to be the vegetable Thai green pasty. Oh & the cakes are amazing!
J. R.
Pros: Nice friendly staff, great selection of original Cornish Pasties including vegan and gluten free, good range of cakes and other sweets, very tempting! Oh and good range of coffee, tea, and herbal teas, and takeaway options if you like. My vegetable pastie was warm and filling at least. Outside seating.
Cons: Certainly not here to hate as I have enjoyed coming here for years. They have Oatmilk but sadly not Oatly Barista Oat drink thats swept Brighton cafes this year. So it's Alpro cloudy and weak, well at least they have some but Alpro mainly use GMO soya oats etc and alleged to have connections with Monsanto. Alpro Almond drink is also available but is weak and makes tea and coffee taste bad IMO.
No WiFi not essential to all I know but I really could have used it at the time. It was cold and both doors are left open and yes I could have asked to shut them but people were coming and going as space is very small it's understandable, so better as a takeaway. No visible heating. No wheelchair access. £6 for a gluten free / vegan pasty made of gluten free pastry and cheese n onion filling does not represent good value for money.
£4 85 for vegetable pasty was ok, but mostly potato, flour and onion, few sweet corn. Seating is awful if you need comfort, had to climb past the cake display to reach the corner spot having to physically move the narrow table bench. The seats ARE NOT SEATS but cold benches or boxes no back support at all or cold walls, wind blowing in. Found it to be very uncomfortable. Won't be going back for a while. Sometimes people smoking cigarettes outside the smoke blows back into the shop very off-putting if you hate cigarettes. I am quite sure this vegetable pasties flavouring or sauce contained Yeast Extract a monosodium glutamate equivalent which flares up my chronic pain disease. Staff were unable to confirm ingredients but have always been very friendly. If the pastie does not contain yeast extract, monosodium glutamate, or palm oil I will adjust this review.

Really nice sausage rolled I tried, but found the price for one unit hard to swallow.. Have it a go to see if worth it, but as nice as it was tasted no different to a supermarket..

Friendly, lovely local place for beautiful and delicious vegan cakes and vegan pasties that always make me feel happy (Thai pasty is my fave, not to be missed!!!).

Ate these all the time growing up, and now I can say I've eaten the authentic. It was delicious, so warm and flavorful. The staff was really nice and had to listen to me reminisce.

Always exceptional customer service and quality food, my parents in Birmingham have been able to send vegan treats to where I live in Brighton that are always delivered fresh without any problems (most recently a delicious Oreo cake) and again, lovely customer service 10/10

- Awesome selection of pastries
- Looovely Cakes
- Chill out on the soft drink prices (not sure it's their fault)

OMG!! If you think you’ve had a decent pasty before you’ve clearly not eaten here!! Best pasty’s in the South! Even Cornwall should be scared!! 10/10!!

Great pasty. Had a large original pasty. Although if I was being too critical (coz I have to much time on my hands this evening) was a bit dry. Will be back though
