Great service with best english breakfast in East Sussex.

Mixed experiences. Different prices depending on who's behind the counter. Food is ok, but small plates mean small portions. My plate was half full of beans, hence small portion of chips. Order off set menu, or you'll get charged differently, like i did. Cafe is spotlessly clean. Some staff are friendly, others aren't.

Great 'proper cafe' well worth stopping if you are in Brighton and want a quality breakfast. Clean and bright with two hard working ladies there this morning. Was very busy , so not fast, but we'll worth the wait .

Friendly greasy spoon basic cafe. Simple decor but all clean and fresh. Looks like they had a recent makeover to cheer place up. This is a basic cafe but was good and dog friendly and was given a sausage for the dog so extra points.

My favourite " working man's " cafe in Brighton !. Great ,good value food and always piping hot. The whole place is basic but well kept and spotlessly clean. Staff are very nice too !

Old fashioned greasy spoon, but not so greasy. Great place for a fry up. Doesn't have a lot of options, compared to many breakfast places, but it does mean you should have no complaints.

You can't go wrong with a honest greasy spoon. Always very clean and quick and friendly service. Let down a little by the coffee, which is instant, so would recommend getting a tea! I would encourage them to invest in a coffee machine.

Great place to have breakfast, reasonable prices, friendly staff, knocked off a point because they don't do Liver and Bacon anymore 😔 but there's nothing to touch it round there unless you're the sourdough bread and mashed avocado crowd and then I'd prefer you go somewhere else anyway!

Mac's cafe is always excellent, could do with toast included on the No 1 breakfast though, nothing you put your fried eggs on. Apart from that minor nit pick, superb.

I visit this cafe when I can. Its excellent good old fashioned cooking n the British style. My favourite dish is the cottage pie. Portions are generous and the pricing good value. Highly recommended if you want no frills excellent food.

Consistent and fast, always cooked as requested, friendly staff, very reasonable prices, great laid back place. Traditional cafe. The bread is great, proper doorstop slices :) I love it here, my favourite place to eat. Clean toilets, plus seating area downstairs and sunny patio out the back so there's always somewhere to sit.

Long standing cafe with plenty of customers. The food is good, and you can get a big breakfast for £6.95 including tea or coffee. There is a large range of home cooked lunch options at reasonable prices and the service is fast and friendly. Plenty of seating and an outdoor smoking area around the back too. If feeling hungry for some good cafe grub, you won't go far wrong with Macs' Cafe!

Best Breakfast you can possibly have. Its all fresh,you can see them make the food so you know its propley done and has EXTREMLY good value for money for a big serving of food! Would recommend to ANYONE!

Fry up was good, fairly quick. Fair price. There is lots of seating, seems pretty standard for a cafe menu wise. Toilets very clean. I would go again. There is not much parking right by, however there is a supermarket over the riad with a car park.

I've been using Macs cafe for 20+ years and for me Macs is a benchmark for cafe dining. Macs do roasts etc as well as your standard English breakfast fayre. It scores on all counts, clean with plenty of seating, some being outside. Tasty and well cooked food. Reasonably and competitively priced. And if you have an issue with parking the lidl car park across the road is free. I use that then buy something from lidl to ease my conscience..
