1B Pitville is a warm and welcoming independently run cafe on Cotham Hill (Pitville Place, in fact). The team here is joyful and professional, and they make everyone feel at ease and at home. Predominantly vegetarian with a selection of plant based options. Both the savoury and sweet offerings are excellent. Amazing coffee from local roasters. They have a wonderfully curated range of coffee brewing techniques, with the batch brew being outstanding.

Amazing coffee, the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten, and the most delightful owners in Bristol. I’m so glad to have found this place that represents all the best things a cafe should be. They have a gorgeous, cosy interior that’s been very intentionally designed; they clearly care deeply about coffee and all the ingredients that go into their delicious food. They don’t cut any corners and above all, they care about their customers’ experience more than anything. Their sandwiches are absolutely to die for and I’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

These folks are the real deal. Clearly committed to really good coffee, friendly and a great little menu—massive sandwiches on amazing bread from some secret source, veg options and just enough fancyness (homemade pickles, lovingly toasted sourdough...)—all cooked in a tiny "kitchen" behind the bar.

Gorgeous place to grab coffee, tea, cold drinks etc, as well as a great range of food! Everything is hand-prepared, and tastes absolutely fantastic!! 1B Pitville are really quite new to Cotham Hill, but they fit in beautifully - Mikey and Matt have done an excellent job! I would 100% recommend paying this place a visit - it is definitely my new regular!

Really impressed with this lovely, friendly little cafe. We had a kimchi cheese toasty and chickpeas on sourdough toast both of which were unbelievably good. Followed this up with a pot of leaf tea made to our own spec with no fuss and shared a really delicious slice of almond and orange cake. I liked that there isn't a massive menu. Clean and spacious. So good! X

I was early for an appointment yesterday, so called in here as it was nearby. What a lovely find - light and airy surroundings, and so friendly. I only had a pot of tea,and took far too long to drink it, but was made to feel as welcome as everyone else that walked through the door. Clearly a lot of regular business, which is always a good sign. The cakes looked amazing, and I would definitely have tried one if I'd been there later in the day. Hoping to find an excuse to be back that way again, as the people at my appointment told me I'd been a fool to miss out on the cake!

Absolutely top-notch coffee, food and service. Lots of care has been taken over the interior, too, which is light, fresh and stylish, with outside seating. There are lots of good cafes in Bristol now but in my opinion this is one of the very best - definitely worth a visit.

Brilliant!!! Such friendly guys running it, Michael and Matt. We had a pan con tomate and the kimcheese toastie. Delicious! Fantastic homemade soft drinks (earl grey and orange & waterlemonade). Followed up with a very good flat white and English breakfast tea with the cake offering. So good!!!!!
