This is a independent cafe place located in a quiet suberb of Bristol. All food is freshly made from the scratch and you can order here the best coffee in the town. I tried many dishes and I never got disappointed. Freshly made cakes and smoothies will satisfy the most sophisticated pallet.

We love coming for lunch at the avenue cafe, such fantastic food, great coffee and amazing service. They are also so very accommodating for my children. My daughter had a smaller chocolate milkshake in a takeaway cup so she didn't spill it. We will definitely be back.

I’ve started coming here more regular these days as I really enjoy the food quality and lovely staff. Food is delicious❤️ Visited with my daughters today, we was starving upon arrival and ordered too much food so we decided to take the rest home, the lovely lady got us containers to take home, poured the rest of our milkshake into a plastic take out cup. Thank you and I see from all my visits how hard you all work as part of a team, you all do amazing and deserve credit. Should be proud! Very welcoming, food cooked fresh to order. The tea and coffee were lovely and hot with great flavour. We visited with our two year old granddaughter and whilst they don't offer a children's menu they were happy to accommodate our choice from a great choice on the menu. A really nice cafe with helpful and friendly staff. The decor and ambiance of the place is lovel and, it is very clean and tidy. The coffee was good and not overpriced, plus they bring it to your table so you don't have to stand around waiting for it. I didn't have any good but it looks like they offer a good tasty selection. There is a self service station for tap water which is just brilliant.. Everywhere should have one! It's not local to me.. But I'll definitely be visiting again next time I'm in the area. Recommended.

Cup of tea arrived a good 20mins before my sausage and egg bap, in fact I had drunk 2.5 cups before that. So service slow, food was lovely though beautifully cooked and presented on the plate.

Stopped for coffee and cake whilst on a Sunday bike ride. At last a cafe that serves very good cappuccino. One that is hot and actually tastes of coffee instead of just lukewarm frothy milk. Good selection of cakes too.

We decided to visit the Avenue For a Father’s Day treat, as did half of Emerson’s Green. It was exceptionally busy, but we were told there’d be a wait for food and drink, so we knew what to expect. We could see how hard the staff were working to accommodate the customers in this extremely busy period. Always a fantastic time when we visit, the staff work their socks off to make sure it's run efficiently, the food is phenomenal for the price point, I've found it difficult to find better breakfast offerings anywhere in Bristol honestly, the fact it's on my doorstep is also a huge plus. Price is a little higher than other cafes but it is worth it for the service and the quality of drinks and food they serve. Evening dinner is also impressive, some really good menu options and the food always looks and tastes fresh, can't really ask for more.

Totally not what I expected! Thought it was just another little café but was much bigger that it looks with a good amount of tables and seating. The decor is beautiful, very industrial with the exposed metal work and piping ducts but softened by some vintage touches. The menu was good, lovely choice of breakfast and lunch dishes, drinks and cakes. Even had a selecting of some rather special sounding specials on their daily board and cocktails available too. Staff really friendly and totally covid safe. A treat to have such a place in walking distance.

Can't beat a trip to Avenue Cafe, no other "competitors" are in its league! We visited just before Christmas and have been back most weekends since. The best thing about this place is how it's a local independent and is actually run by its owners which is lovely to see and makes a real difference. Saturdays are very busy and it can be hard securing a table, but this just goes to show how excellent the reputation of the business is. The service is very friendly, efficient and the food is lovely. No.1 place for a weekend cooked breakfast and good quality tasty coffee. Keep up the good work Avenue!

First impressions, excellent - very impressed. The staff were lovely, great selection of homemade cakes and the coffee actually tastes awesome - Unlike Costa coffee which is truly awful. Why do people go there over this place? Also very COVID friendly, well organised ordering system in place, hand sanitiser at every window and all the staff wearing masks. 👏 Looking forward to trying again once fully open.

Absolutely wonderful independent cafe serving the community and we are very lucky to have it! I've visited a couple of times now and the service at Avenue Cafe is top notch, the staff are super friendly and hardworking, coffee is excellent and the food menu is fantastic with lots of quality fresh food. Also the homemade 'two of a kind' cake was unreal! Just moved to Lyde Green and thrilled to have this fantastic place on my doorstep.

We went a couple of times for breakfast at their old premises, it was busy both times and the quality of both the food and the service was top notch. We also went recently on a Friday night to the new premises and it's even better now! The wine was great and the sweetcorn fritters were delicious. Very quick service too. Very friendly staff, amazing food, great atmosphere and a great place for all the family! You may already know this, Avenue Café, but you have the Regan seal of approval! Costa had better be ready for when Avenue opens on Sundays full-time, because most of the customers only went to Costa because Avenue wasn't open!

Thumbs up to my favourite cafe! The aroma of the freshly roasted coffee beans hits you as soon as you walk in! The food is always freshly made and fantastic - and I'm a vegetarian!. In addition it's both the service and friendly vibes that keeps me coming back. At the Avenue Cafe you're looked after by amiable and knowledgeable staff. Best in the west! Visited today. What a fantastic coffee shop. Great coffee for a start, friendly fast service and bags of heart. I arrived at 9:45 in the morning, it was wetter than an otters pocket outside and the place was jumping. A much better offering than the corporate coffee shop over the road!

It's not easy writing a review about Avenue Cafe without first bursting out with superlatives. Food is of the highest standard, with a wide range to choose from on the menu to suit all tastes. The staff are always friendly, and ready to greet you with a welcoming smile, and always willing to accommodate your needs. A family run business, with real ethics and customer service values that the faceless corporations offering homogenised pseudo hospitality are completely lacking....I know where I'd rather spend my time and money.....and proper tasting coffee as well!

I love the Avenue Cafe. Costas and his family are so warm and welcoming. No matter how busy they are they always find a few minutes for a chat. It's so much more personal than the usual chain. The new Avenue is just what they needed as they are so popular that they needed the space. You still have to queue on occasion but the food is delicious and definately worth waiting for. My mother is in a wheel chair and all the staff work very hard to find us a suitable table. I wish I lived closer as this would definately be my local. We're bringing our friends on Saturday as they haven't been to the new cafe yet but they know it will be good from their past visits to the old cafe. See you on Saturday.

I visited last week and it happened to be their 20th Birthday. Congratulations Avenue Café. There was a lovely atmosphere, topped off with a fabulous cappuccino and delicious slice of Lemon Drizzle cake made by the owner Flora I was told. Despite being in he midst of a global pandemic, the team here are doing an excellent job with distancing and cleaning tables throughly before sittings. There aren't that many cafes along the ring road that are nice to spend time in but the avenue is lovely. They offer a wide range of food at a reasonable price. The cafe is nicely decorated with a lot of comfortable seating and a small terrace with some seating for the the warmer days.

Hands down the best independent Cafe in Bristol and I’m sure many would agree with me when I say better than Costa Coffee and the other chains. Super friendly and helpful staff who work very hard, the service is always prompt and the very swish new premises is spotlessly clean. The coffee is superb and the misses loves the Oreo Cookie Milkshakes. Every meal I’ve had has been delicious and its a tough decision to pick a favourite between the cajun spiced beef burger and the steak & cream cheese ciabatta. Had an email asking me to post a review. Wouldn’t have done otherwise. It’s an ok cafe. Nothing to rave about but does the job. Reason we hardly use it is we like to take our small dog for coffee often and they are anti dog. You can sit outside but that’s hardly practical in the cold or rain and in the good days those tables are usually full. As the only real competition is a Costa they are normally fairly busy so I should think they care not a jot about missing out on a few dog owners. Incidentally if you do want a dog friendly cafe the closest are Grounded and Porto Lounge at Fishponds, Beehive cafe and Duck & Willow at Downend and the Old Dairy at Pucklechurch. All do good breakfasts, all welcome dogs and well behaved children and Grounded, Porto and D&W are open for food in the evening.

Really popular venue, lots of Mums with toddlers! Very efficient staff but due to popularity can be a short wait for drinks and food. My partner ordered humous salad which was excellent but I was disappointed with the sandwich I recieved, grated cheese and ordinary supermarket sliced bread, the sort of standard I'd expect from motorway services and about the same price! Unfortunately the staff were too busy for me to give feedback directly. The coffee is 1st class and the previous brunch had there was good quality, but this is a very competitive industry and Bristol has many fabulous places which are the same price & cool decor. Unfortunately their only location competition is Costa and Sainsbury's café.

Great cafe to go to for coffee and cake. Other food is good but would avoid the cooked breakfast as the sausages are extremely poor quality. Staff are friendly and service is quick but staff seem to get confused as to where to take the orders despite table numbers.

Having used The Avenue quite often during the day, we decided to give the Saturday evening session a try ( late August ) The starters were great & my husband's burger was good. I decided to try the moussaka from the specials board. Tasted good, but was SO SMALL - served in a tapas dish ((only 2 slices of potato covered the whole dish ! ) admittedly it came with a greek salad, but at £14.90 was way overpriced. Has sadly put me off.

I wouldn’t normally write a review but received an email to invite me to , singere goes . I have always had a pleasant experience at Avenue , good food , service and even an invite to have a hot drink and cake for 2 the month of my birthday 😊 however on trying to use this invite ( which you price by showing your email notification) I was told it had already been used , which I knew it hadn’t and I did feel straight away that I wasn’t believed . One of the owners agreed to honour it but I did feel uncomfortable and bought another drink to show I wasn’t there just for a freebie , I’d already had s peppermint tea so ordered a black coffee but unfortunately had to leave it as it was so strong like an espresso but 5/6 times bigger, so overall not the best experience in your new premises 🙁 this was some time ago but I havnt returned since and I regularly met friends at the original premises 😊 hopefully the service ( which certainly wasn’t with a smile ) has improved in the last 10 months , hopefully just teething troubles 🙂
