Reviews of Boston Tea Party Park Street
L. M.
Had an amazing experience here today. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The ordering system is efficient (via QR code) and the service was speedy. I ordered scrambled egg with smoked salmon - the egg was cooked to perfection and so tasty! I would definitely return again very soon!
B. M.
Lovely little spot on park street. Grabbed a coffee with my friend and we were offered a free Almond croissant by Luke - delicious 😋. Nice chilled place, very friendly staff.
D. S.
Dropped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good at a reasonable price. There are a lot of breakfast items in the menu to choose from.
The coffee was amazing, much better than in most places I've been to.
What is really convenient is that you order via scanning a QR code on your phone. This way you get all the time you need to order (the app menu has pictures too) and don't need to wait for a waiter to come and take your order. Regardless, the service was really quick, both the kitchen and the waiters.
The cafe has a lot of seatong: both outdoors in their garden and indoors on both ground and first floor The cafe had a lot of empty tables when I was there.
There is a bathroom.

Not been here many times due to not having the opportunity and wow was i impressed. The service was great. They signposted the delays with food well and actually served food faster than expected and the food was incredible. Very literally one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. I was not expecting it at all. Thank you Boston Tea Party. We will be back again soon.
J. E.
Tasty food, good atmosphere and finally a decent web ordering experience. Would recommend. Plus it’s at the top of the hill so you kinda feel like you’ve earned it 😏
K.
Amazing fried breakfast, served with tea made from tea leaves not bags. Ate in the secret garden too. Worth a visit. Great service.
C. A.
The food is tasty although there can be a bit of a wait due to how busy it gets. All the staff were lovely.
J. B.
Lovely place, food was really nice snd service was great 😊

My favourite breakfast haunt in Bristol, nice and central with delicious food, plenty of space and tables with friendly helpful staff, good coffee as well ..try it !!
A. J.
Boston Tea Party is a chain of trendy eateries offering a range of food and a wide selection of beverages.
The particular branch I visited was on Park Street in Bristol. There was plenty of seating space and the food was freshly cooked and very enjoyable.
I was a little surprised to find they don't accept which was, in my view, a little misguided for what is a casual drop in place but I suppose it's a sign of the times.
In summary a nice place for a quick bite or drink but remember to bring your contactless card or Apple Pay or Google Wallet or whatever it's called as simple coin of the realm isn't acceptable any more it seems
J. H.
Lovely terrace garden which makes a great outdoor space. Good coffee and a brilliant brunch and lunch selection.
C. B.
Decent food, service was a bit slow. Was busy so sat out in the garden which had heaters as it was quite cold. Will be lovely in the summer.
r.
Breakfast was nice. I don't like butter so it might be nice to serve that not already to the toast. The brown sauce I ordered arrived 5 minutes after my meal. Our 2nd rnd of drinks took ages, but it was very busy by this time. We weren't in a rush so it wasn't the end of the world.
a. h.
Large outdoor seating area, recommend the sweetcorn frittas. Nice staff, I enjoyed it here.
R. M.
As always, friendly service and good quality food. There's a great atmosphere at this venue and it's well placed for sightseeing and shopping, just off Bristol ciity centre.
B. M.
It's always great here, the staff are always friendly and it's a super relaxed atmosphere. The coffee and tea is amazing too :) in particular, Robert gave us amazing service today
B. K.
Use local uhsourced goods in all their shops. Best chai latte 😋. Lovely coffee. Love the mismatched old tables and chairs.
C. B.
The food is to die for. The filter coffee and hot chocolate are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s cosy and large enough for many people to be cosy. The staff are very polite and helpful. Overall I highly recommend sitting upstairs and taking a break here from the hustle and bustle of the city.
E. G.
This is a nice place in Bristol town centre, s bit funky arty just like the rest of Bristol.
It definitely can offer a decent cup of coffee and I also enjoyed sourdough bread toast with marmalade.
The biggest plus is that it’s open early even on weekends.
There is lots of seating including the garden at the rear of the coffee shop.
It’s definitely a place to pop in for a nice cuppa and breakfast snack or proper meal.
And staff was friendly.
A. H.
Great food and coffee. Excellent place to sit and get some work done too.
P. P.
Boston tea party is known for its character unique places. The one in Park Street is no exception. The place has a variety of food snacks and drinks on offer. Set on a few floors, each one has different furnishing with a comfy feel. Outside, Also has a large terrace garden area with tables, seating.

Love coming here. It’s always buzzing! The food and drinks are delicious! And the staff are warm, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend BTP! Especially the Boss brekky and banana milkshake ! 😍😍
C. B.
BTP used to be our favourite but struggles to float our boat anymore. I wanted a toasted sandwich but despite the variety on the menu none were available. I had brown toast and raspberry jam which was distinctly like sliced bread, very thin and boring. Nice green smoothie though! It's a bit of a student haunt really and not a lot of style......just like a university canteen. Good friendly service though.....
B. S.
Outstanding food! Big menu with *a lot* of veggie options...plus a separate "new breakfasts" menu! Try the cheddar & jalapeno cornbread if you can (pictured). Lots of room upstairs so was easy to get a table at lunchtime on a Saturday. Highly recommended 👍
S. H.
Popped in this morning for breakfast and can only recommend others do the same. Quick and very friendly service, excellent food and coffee. The sweetcorn fritters were amongst the best I've had, the pancakes light and fluffy, the avocado expertly presented. Will definitely be returning
T. R.
Good food when it arrives but service can be hit or miss. Been several times and always something gets forgotten or mixed up. Bacon on toast took over 30 minutes when the café was practically empty. Staff did apologise and provide a free coffee. Pity, though, as the staff are friendly and the food tasty.
D. B.
Delicious coffee, the staff is friendly and have excellent barista skills. Recommended also for soymilk dependent coffeedrinkers since they serve the one and only tasty alpro soy milk. Nice small outside area in the backyard. Beatiful decorations whereever your eye travels.
s.
Lovely coffee, tea and big bits of cake. Couldn’t be better unless it was cheaper :)
A. T.
Great selection of vegan food, staff always smiley and polite. Will visit again, vegan breakfast is huge!
A. J.
Front of house is average and unassuming, but the secret garden out the back is a fabulous surprise! The food I ordered was delicious and fresh, but I guess they're still operating on a reduced menu after all the lockdowns. Overall, a pleasant experience, though not quite as good as the Harborne branch.
C. C.
I was in Bristol to spend time with my friends and discover the city, and we had a very pleasant time here! The staff is genuine and friendly. The food is great: the scones of my friends were huge and delicious and the gluten-free orange-almond cake I chose made my day even nicer. By the way, extra points for the veggie and gluten-free options! Special credits to the lemonade: I’m a lemonade lover and that one was perfect. I’ll definitely come back!
M. R.
The food has always been top tier when eating at Boston Tea Party. The Veggie Breakfast has all you could want for a good price. The scrambled eggs, double hash browns, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms and slice of toast are all cooked very well and all compliment each other. As a dessert I had the maple pancakes (without bacon upon request) and again, a great dish cooked very well and a great way to end the breakfast.
The staff as always are a delight to be served by, even in these slightly bizarre times. Very friendly and very helpful in all aspects.
Would highly recommend you visit if you’re ever in Bristol!
M. G. W.
It took a little while to be served but it was extremely busy and as always the food was worth the wait. Thank you!
P. C.
Light and airy interior and a laid back atmosphere. Good range of breakfasts, catering for vegetarians and vegans. Our server, Rohan, was very professional and attentive, making sure we had water for our dog. Extra marks for being a dog friendly establishment 🐶
T. B.
Really good little find in Bristol. I loved their Boston breakfast tea, complete with brewing timer. Great to see a strict attitude to takeaway cups - no throwaways in sight. Bring you own reusable one or buybine from their multicoloured selection. I did the latter even though I wasn't taking my drink away. I didn't have find but the cakes looked great. Very busy - obviously the locals know it well too - but still excellent service.
C. P.
The iced coffee is incredible!! It’s my new go to, would 100% recommend BTP
L. K.
Great place for coffee and cake. Efficient service and ordering via QR code.
K. W.
Amazing Vegan boss this morning and a cheeky cake.
Greg and the team there were fantastic, looking after Kate (Strong) and I after her 24 hour cycle yesterday, with 3 x world records!
I highly recommend the venue to everyone, especially if you've just done your own records
S. L.
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing cold coffees, breakfast choice and service. Rohan was extremely helpful. We will definitely be back.
L. C.
Not as good as it used to be. Service is a little slow and the lunch menu could be better
D. P.
Always a great place to bring or meet with friends. Varied menu so always something for everyone and good spread of prices of items. Not absolute cheapest place but good value because of the quality of ingredients/products . Lovely tiered garden with space in sun and also some tables under cover. Friendly staff who seem to genuinely want your experience to be a good one and even though it is a small chain you never feel like you are getting a pre packaged homogenous experience . Definitely worth a visit.
A. V.
Fabulous customer service, waitresses were on there ball game and asked the right questions.
Lovely experience.
N. E.
We have been coming here for years and it’s always consistently delish! The staff today were lovely, coffee and breakfast excellent. The garden is one of the best breakfast locations in Bristol! Thanks guys.
I.
Went for brunch with a few friends - delicious as always! Pleasantly surprised by the avocado iced coffee (don't knock it till you try it)! They've done a great job of setting up for social distancing while having plenty of table available.
N. M.
Really enjoyed the outdoor seating area towards the back. Order on an app and the food is delivered to your table. Really enjoyed the pancake stack.
S. G.
Visited my granddaughter in Bristol. She was eager to bring me here, and I was pleasantly surprised! The coffee is some of the best I’ve ever tasted, and the food is delicious. We ended up ordering 2 meals each in fact! Can definitely recommend the boss breakfast. A kind young man called Robert (I think) was delightful - and showed us how to use the QR system when we got a little stuck. Absolutely charming.
H. R.
First cafe visited post lockdown and oh boy it was so good!!! Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Social distancing guidelines in place and very easy to follow😊. Recommend the Smoked salmon, avocado and scrambled egg on toast 👌
C. L. H.
yummy food and coffee, very friendly service from ben. cheers :)
K. G.
Had a great sweetcorn hash, service from Ben & other staff was great & very friendly.
I. B.
Amazing café, went there twice in two days and loved it! Amazing people welcoming you and excellent food!
E.
Lovely food lovely staff, helped by a brilliant server called Ben !
J.
Been for food and coffee a number of times and always consistently good.
p. o.
I have known this coffee shop for a very long time. It's very pleasant, perfectly located in a very central and nice area of Bristol, quite a lot of seating upstairs and a lovely back garden.
They used to have the best Black Americano in town. It was absolutely delicious, full taste and flavor.
Unfortunately, they started using another coffee bean some time ago which is not quite as good.
I still visit this place occasionally, but not quite as often as I used to.
R. P.
This is hands down my favourite coffee house in Bristol. Not only is the coffee and food incredible, but the staff make each and every customer feel special. They're also trailblazing a sustainable future with their reusable coffee cups - which they're also giving away for free at the moment! Can't say enough good things!
T. E.
Food was lovely and so were the staff. Highly recommend!
D. J.
I experienced an old fashioned warm welcoming atmosphere to chat, eat and drink.
C. H.
Quirky, great staff, lots of vegan options. Fab atmosphere.
O. M.
Interesting menu but struggled with the on line ordering and staff were not very helpful at all.
L. C.
great place to dine in! they have a fancy menu served all day, there is also a kid menu, services are very fast,,,well it depends if you are at busy time or not,but usually are fine,
L. B.
Overall Good Food - but there much better quality brunch spots in Bristol.
Pros:
Outside seatings
Nice atmosphere
Friendly staff
Cons:
Poached eggs seemed to be a challenge, consistently coming out as if it were boiled. (Unforgivable for a brunch spot)
Consistently a 30-40 minute wait for food when you dine in.
Good value for money overall - but don't bother adding extras £2.10 to add mushrooms.. and you get 4 mushrooms.
R. H.
Great bristolian caff had a mega meal and mind blowing coffee the food and coffee hut the spot you should seriously consider a visit here xx
K. M.
Absolutely delicious brunch, eggs cooked to perfection and gorgeous flavours. Impressed by the range of choice and the staff were so helpful. Well done team!
N. A.
Walked up Park Street, got very sweaty, came into BTP and ordered a mango lassi - very delicious and very welcome on such a hot day! They also have a very good range of teas, I had a gunpowder tea and I was lovely.
K. H.
Great food and first class service. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend
J. W.
Lovely service today from the staff, the lady with orange and black hair was sooo nice!
R. A.
Lovely food, service and atmosphere, perfect for a quick lunch/brunch. They had a good covid 1 way system and very kind and helpful staff.
H. C.
Super healthy salad with naughty fries 😉 the perfect combination. Made even better by the lovely sunny BTP garden 😎
L. K.
Nice food and very nice service. Highly recommend to come for having brunch.
y. k.
Very nice cozy and happy place, food is lovely and staff so helpful and happy
R. G.
Great food, plenty of seating, very spacious, friendly staff, great food, great staff. The one big drawback is the music. Who wants to listen to David Guetta’s ‘Titanium’ during breakfast? Or Usher? Or any pop music more suited to a nightclub? Do these places ever think about the music they play, and what purpose it serves? With tasteful and appropriate music this place would be five stars in my book.
S. B.
Loved it! Can't even begin to describe the amazing food, service and prices ✨❤️
S. N.
Cake was tasty ... but on the stale side and £2.95.
Mocha was perfect though in fairness.
The staff were really friendly and the service was very quick.
I had to clean the window table before we could use it though.
There is baby changing facilities.
Other toilets are shared gender toilets, very basic and crammed but clean enough.
Go here if you need a pit stop... and a good hot drink... like right now .
Don't go here for quality food or to relax.
Remember to 👍🏼 the review if you liked it.
C. H.
Had quiet a long wait for food, but the server that helped me to make my order gluten free and diary free. Really informed and helpful!
E. O.
Really tasty breakfast and a great brownie to finish it!
H. S.
Lovely Breakfast! Great friendly staff, special shout out to Oscar and Nat for fab service!
C. L.
Amazing food and service! Will definitely be back :)
j. n.
A particularly nice BTP because they have a lovely quaint/quirky back garden which in the best weather is really sunny!
S. E.
Very popular coffee shop - huge range of drinks, food and cakes. Delicious salads. Friendly staff.
T. C.
Best oat float white I’ve ever had!
T. G.
Had the Vegan Boss Breakfast, and it was lovely, staff are very accommodating and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Would 100% recommend the Peach Melba Smoothie if you have a sweet tooth. Very lovely little place. Impressed.
T. R.
Lovely choice of good food for all dietary requirements. Friendly staff & yummy coffee. Loads of seating in comfy surroundings, excellent outdoor space out the back for when the weather is nice (watch out for the friendly pigeons).
R.
Went here for breakfast and it was great. Staff are super friendly and the new contactless order process is very simple. Would recommend the food and sitting out back (if good weather)!
D. N.
I have always loved this place, but always had to be somewhere or do something. This time I sat in the garden and took my time with my breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning. Wonderfuly peaceful I recommend doing this at least once if you're used to this place being full and bustling. I went for the West Country breakfast and an extra toast. Everything was lovely, even the tomatoes which I normally tolerate at best. Soft, tasty scrambled eggs too, just perfect. If the boss seems like too much food, go for this one, it's quite filling. Enjoy this amazing place you lucky locals!
M. J.
If Tea isn’t your thing, their caramel slice should be. An Incredible sweet snack for your afternoon pit stop after you have wandered the beautiful streets of Bristol. Their Lap-sang Suchong is commendable as well.
B. J.
Best Eggs Royale ever! Lovely coffee and smoothies. Great for brunch.
M. D. C.
Very pleasent garden to have breakfast! Coffe tastes fabulous and the green cold drink is amazing! We will come back! :-)
P. W.
Fantastic BTP with covid-sensible measures in place and still a lovely atmosphere. Table ordering using your phone is prompt and the drinks and food are the usual high quality.
R. K.
I like this cafe. It has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere generally speaking, but can be packed with students at times, despite the generous amount of seating overall, including outdoors. The indoor seating is mainly at tables (which students love, as they can set to on their laptops), but there are a small number of sofas that get snapped up by others. They have the usual range of coffees, but a variety of teas and cakes as well. They always have an interesting range of food for breakfast and other times, which other cafes often don't do, which will be freshly made for you. They don't offer one-use takeaway coffee cups, so bring your own or buy a reusable one there. It's not a cheap place, but what they do they do well.
L. T.
Met a friend for coffee and we sat in the secret sunny garden. Had the BEST raspberry cheesecake I think I've ever had in my life, thanks to the lovely girl on the till who recommended it.... and it's gluten free!! Coffee's were brought to us by another lovely guy who even got a bowl of water for my friends dog. Will definitely be returning! :)
C.
we have been coming here since studying in Bristol way too many years ago. great food, great service. and only problem there used to be - no space - mostly solved by big increase in space. we still love it and the sustainable initiatives you are taking. keep it up!
D. T.
Bristol staple. Great new location on Whiteladies road. Friendly staff. Grab a window seat for maximum people watching opportunity. Eggs Royale and coffee.
J. P.
Great food and coffee, we went for brunch and the menu selection was great. Will need to come back and try everything else!
C. B.
Good food and atmosphere. Not quite the same due to covid but still a nice place and very yummy.
C. I.
Decent, solid food but no particular twists or some taste to be remembered
G. H.
Robert was a great host! Great cafe
E. A.
It is ok and has an extensive menu to choose from. All food on the menu is served all day so if you fancy a fry up for lunch you could have it.
There is a vibe to this place, relaxed and chill which is reflected in the menu so would be a good place to go if you have a group where everyone has really different dietary needs or preferences. Staff, professional and polite and happy to serve & pricing reasonable for what is on offer and location.
My score is in relation to the environment, dogs are allowed in dining area which isn't my preference unless they are working dogs - not all people are comfortable around dogs & although this one was cute in his little jumper and coming over to everyone jumping up at the table it just made me feel uncomfortable.
There is a toilet on site within the basement, you walk past the kitchen to get to them so you can see the hustle and bustle of the busy team. Its very basic & it may be that not all customers are respectful of the facilities as it's a bit rough and ready. It's useable, just not great.
I. P.
Ordered avocado on sourdough bread toast, and it was delicious! Better than other times I've signed here.
There were loads of aggressive pigeons in the garden area, which my friend did not like but I found hilarious though.
It was some sort of pigeon fight for the table next to us.
M. D.
I have had a very warm and friendly experience. I have always admired Boston ☕ Party. It is quirky , inspiring and imaginative with its interior, which I love. I have never had a bad experience and I would recommend this place to anyone. Food is tasty, the hot beverages has always been numerous in choice with flavour, plus the staff has always been welcoming. Defo 5⭐
A.
Get there early if you don't want to queue. By 10am there's a queue out of the door due fewer tables. Good spacing, tasty breakfast, little expensive for the full quality of the English breakfast but still tasty.
J. M.
I know there's quite a hype around this place but honestly, I'm not convinced it's all that exceptional. Their dishes are nice but nothing to write home about – and the same goes for their coffee, too. Also, there's a good chance you'll need to wait quite a bit to order/for your food as the place tends to get rather packed. However, it's still worth a visit as long as you manage to avoid their rush hour(s).
J. K.
Go to spot for breakfast whenever in Bristol. Great food and drinks along with friendly service, especially Rohan the legend.
A. D.
Had a beer and a burger in the sun. Service was friendly, quick and all the staff were smiling and happy to help. Makes a change to see lots of laughing happy faces in a restaurant! Will be bringing my kids at the weekend as they've probably never seen cookies that big!!
D. B.
Popped in for a breakfast on a Saturday morning and was not disappointed.
An excellent feed, with highlights being the generous portions, the chorizo hash and the roasted potatoes.
The lovingly made coffee was my personal favourite. Good beans, well put together. Perked me too for the day.
If you like good coffee and you're in the area, this is definitely a good place to hit.
B. R.
Great tea selection and warm and inviting staff. I came here for breakfast and ordered the vegan option, which disappointingly was just the veggie breakfast minus eggs. I feel like it would be massively improved with the addition of a tofu scramble or something else.
M. P.
Good food, good coffee, opens early and is surprisingly spacious.
P. V.
So lovely! The waiters are so friendly and the food is delicious. Will love to come again :)
A.
Nice staff and comfortable place to relax!
L. G. B.
WARNING: Baked goods smorgasbord stairs you down directly upon arrival. Enter at your own risk... Because it all looks amazingly delicious. Loved my sausage baps. Coffee was excellent!
R. C.
This is one of many BTP shops in Bristol, but this one stands out from the others. It can seem a little crowded when you first walk in through the front door, especially when it is busy, but take your coffee and cake to the seating area upstairs and you will find lots of open space with a choice of tables or sofas.
Despite the huge open space you still somehow feel like you have some privacy and that you are not sharing your conversation with the whole room. This is probably why, on rare occasions, some people have loud conversations that they would be embarrassed to know had just become public.
Overall, a very nice location and great coffee and cakes. They do hot food too, but I have not tried this yet.
G. R.
A company who really are doing their best to combat unnecessary waste. Delicious beverages, cakes excellent, staff friendly as per all branches across the city, but i love the quiet, cool upstairs which is perfect for a bit of work, and the warren garden area which is a real sun trap. It's a bit of a tardis!
P.
Very pleasant place for a coffee/tea and cake.
A. B.
Really great barista ... washed out my reusable cup for me, gave me a children's smoothie instead of an adults bc my cup was small so I saved some money!
Free WiFi is helpful for studying
I've been here for coffee and lunches too, really convenient as right by the university
Cheap and lots of vegetarian options
Only downside is it can get very busy and very hot on the upper floor, especially in summer. This can't be helped but perhaps it would be good to know before you order!
Love it here
B. R.
The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and the place has a lovely atmosphere! The outside seating area is great in the summer. One of my favourite Bristolian places to eat :)
V. C.
This place is like a tardis, looks small from the outside but there is a big space upstairs and a lovely garden at the back! Had the best vegan burger with a delicious lassi. A fantastic spot for all.
S. D.
Nice place to visit but it gets very busy. Nice food but needs to avoid busy times like dinner times. It's very popular so it's a chance you have to take if you are wanting a seat due to how busy it gets. Well worth a visit though.
B. H.
Yummiest breakfast for a long time. Even better than home cooked. Delicious drinks and friendly staff, and chilled out atmosphere in the light and airy room upstairs. 5 stars! :-)
PS try the mango and raspberry smoothie... It is delicious!
C. G.
The lemon drizzle cake was great!
The Scotch pancakes were really dry - like in other reviews. But the bacon was excellent.
Don't miss the superseed salad!
R. T.
The Boston tea party was top notch for me.its the first one I've visited in bristol, and I was made very welcome .the staff were very, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble . It was very clean, and tidy.plenty if seating upstairs ,and a.cosy atmosphere.i had the vegan breakfast which is served all day and it was outstanding to be fair.not only were the staff very friendly they were very chatty too.nothing was too much trouble and I'll make an extra special trip to bristol more to visit this one.also what I liked was they are open til 7 on a sun day, very impressed
R. B.
Lunchtime visit was slightly chaotic. Staff didn't know how to serve a shot of vodka to a customer. Extremely popular place to go at lunchtimes. Had to go downstairs to ask for our drinks after waiting 20 minutes. More staff needed during these busy times.
A. S.
I really like this place! Its great to find a place with excellent food, great cakes and awesome coffee. Service is good, and my experience has been consistently great every time I have gone.
Warmly recommend it (just dont go when I go, I dont want it to get too crowded!)
T. B.
A pretty typical BTP, nicer premises than some and very conveniently located (a short walk from Bristol museum, the hippodrome, Colston Hall etc). Has two floors and and outside garden area. Good for groups, but generally quite busy.
R. s.
Staff offered free cakes outside. So friendly and professional. Cake was so nice so we had lunch there. Omg the sweet corn hash is from heaven. Boston tea party is awesome. Check it out for yourself. My number one fav cafe in Bristol utterly epic.
S. P.
The popular cafe on park that no single use coffee cups. If you would like a takeaway, you will have to bring your own cup, get a loan cup or buy one of their colourful ones.
The Barista was friendly and produced a great macchiato using only a dollop of frothy milk. Using freshly ground mild beans, that has a subtle after taste and fragrant aroma. Importantly the beans were not burnt by piping hot water.
My coffee tasting journey. ☕
I'll be rating the Barista, service, quality of their macchiato.
D. E.
Cosy cafe that may look small upon first entering but has a large upstairs seating area with big windows letting you sit down, eat, drink and have a view of the surrounding streets. Fast friendly service the food and drink is great and the place also had complimentary free WiFi, just ask one of the members of staff. Perfect place for a coffee and some work if you bring your laptop along.
B. B.
Delicious fresh food for breakfast - AMAZING hash browns! Highly recommend.
H. V.
Nice to have some healthy options for food, although the smoothie was a little sweet. Our food took a while to come out, but then it was midday. Shame about the bird spikes everywhere. Doesn't stop them!
V. N.
That jalapeño corn bread!! Wow! Rohan was an amazing server. 10/10

Staff were amazingly friendly. Suggested from a friend in Bridlington to visit one. Girl behind the counter was very nice, even though there was a queue made me feel like it was just me in the little small space. Gave me a few suggestions for where to visit and was very cheerful. All the staff seemed so. Food tasted ok. Milkshake fine but staff earnt the 5*
P. D.
Lovely spot to enjoy a spot of lunch, a coffee and a catch up. We were in Bristol for my daughter's Uni offer invitation, so it was perfect to soak up the atmosphere and watch the world go by. Highly recommended.
A. B. K.
Great idea to operate as zero waste with the cups. However, the coffee quality can vary a little bit. On the other hand, their cakes are amazing
R. M.
Strangest party I've been to. Lots of people on laptops eating cakes. I wasn't actually invited anyway so didn't know that many people there. Didn't stay too long in the end. Also I'm not sure which one I'm reviewing actually so maybe it has a nice big garden, maybe it has no garden at all. Why not go and find out and let me know?
D. P.
The ultimate chocolate milkshake? I went in today stimulated by my University of Bristol 10% staff discount, having been to two or three across the country. Service by all staff is brilliant, friendly and on the ball.
Now, about the dark chocolate milkshake - I've been searching for that for 40 years! Had one far away as a kid which was so amazing that none other has lived up to it. Yes, there've been some decent ones, but the BTP version is SERIOUSLY chocolatey, possibly even too much for some people. Reasonably thick as well - delicious and amazing!
I had the Cuban sandwich to eat. Although tasty, I have to say that it didn't live up to the fantastic equivalent I recently had at Las Iguanas (also in Bristol). No complaints, though. Fries as a side were a bit weak - skinny and lacking a bit in flavour and character.
I will return.
C. R.
Probably my favourite branch out of the Bristol collective. Garden is an absolute sun trap throughout the day and very nicely hidden away from the bustle of the triangle and Park Street. Service speeds can be very sporadic sometimes, especially if you're just popping in for a coffee. Not sure why they switched to table numbers and service rather than sticking to just hanging around for it to be ready, it appears to slow everything down. But thats just personal preference I suppose.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and have half an hour to kill.
S. B.
Lovely meal and great atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff
N.
Good cafe on Park St, offer drinks and can order food (breakfast, etc). There is upstairs space with character and is a popular location for students and professionals. The Starbucks opposite has closed down yet this cafe still persists, which says something really.
W. B.
There can be a long wait during peak times but the food and drink is worthwhile. They also don't serve coffee to go in plastic cups in order to protect the environment. Customers have to bring their own.
S. D.
This is the 'original' Boston Tea Party in Bristol. Great place, very busy, has a garden at the back, the upstairs is huge! Oh, and the coffee is roasted by local rosters Extract Coffee who are experts and my recommendation is to ask for the Dark Roast latte. Food is tasty too with a large locally produced menu.
I go there most week days for lunch or a coffee.
E. K.
Love the coffee here, and the little garden out the back is an added bonus on Park Street. I like sitting upstairs and watching the world go by too!
Not convinced by the food, though - the sandwich fillings are varied and different to anywhere nearby, but they never really live up to expectations.
r. d.
From the minute we entered the cafe all staff were so genuinely friendly and engaging... Great eco aware cafe where as a bonus the Food and drinks are equally very tasty!
Highly recommend
A.
I do like BTP, but I can't help but feel this particular branch is losing it's appeal. I had the smashed avocado on sourdough toast with poached eggs. Sadly the eggs were way too overdone and completely hard. The sourdough just tasted like normal white bread and was super soggy. A shame really since this sort of brunch is so easy to do, I'd just expect it to be done right... The iced Americano was decent enough though!
B. C. S.
The Boston Tea Party on Park Street, Bristol, is the original Boston Tea Party and, for me, the original coffee shop. I've been coming here every time I visit Bristol for about 15 years and I love the place as much now as I did then. In my mind's eye, I'm always here, writing a postcard on the terrace or chatting the afternoon away, putting the world to rights in the upstairs lounge.
The coffee is excellent, the cakes are superb, the staff friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. I've always felt this special affinity for the Boston Tea Party, a feeling that's not easy to put into words. Perhaps the best recommendation I can give is that no trip to Bristol is complete without calling into the Boston Tea Party on Park Street.
M. V.
Nice little place. Just nipped in for a coffee which was good. It was pretty expensive though, but I don't buy coffee out alot so it might be normal prices. Very busy when I was there but the staff were friendly.
J. M.
The staff played out quite rightly the mystique of this dramatic bastion of gothic splendour. The Gibbs family's last stand in 2001 was a tired aristocrat with no heir. The NT has presented this early Victorian behemoth splendidly, from the walls hang Bellini and Zambrano and the library is magnificent.
E. A.
Lovely cafe with great outside area.
J. A.
Scrummy grub and lovely service.
F. B.
Although this place has a huge upstairs area, there is only ever one sofa free when I go there. But it is the BEST sofa. It's like destiny reserves it for me. They know I'm coming. Don't sit on my sofa.
Chai latte- ok.
P. C.
This may be the original Boston Tea Party? I'm talking about coffee shops in Britain not an event that contributed to the start of the American war if independence. I've been coming here for many years on visits to Bristol and it's still a favourite.
R. T.
I really like Boston Tea Party on Park Street. It's really nice and cosy and it has possibly the best garden of any similar cafe in Bristol. But they've stopped doing cold food altogether which really changed it for me. It makes it a lot more expensive.
A. D.
Scotch pancakes were good, but kinda dry and not many for what we paid for. Milkshakes always a hit though and the brownies are great :)
a. s.
The Sweetcorn Hash was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful terraced garden and great service
A. B.
Always a great breakfast. Always good food. Birmingham. Bristol.
J.
Underwhelming chain in a city with hundreds of coffee shop and café options. Not much to get excited about at any BTP; boring food, sub-par coffee and an expensive pricing strategy. Not interesting enough for a bad review, solidly middle of the road.
A. R.
If there's going to be a longer than average wait time please let people know at the time of ordering, not after payment. Especially if the only thing they're ordering is a children's breakfast and they'll have to wrangle a hungry and frustrated toddler during the unexpected time.
D. E. (.
Really good coffee. You need to bring your own cup for takeaway coffee. Nice garden at the back. Pastries were a little stale. And took a long time to be served.
A.
Quirky coffee shop but the beverages leave a lot to be desired for the price, food items are particularly overpriced.
Tables were also quite grotty but I genuinely couldn't tell whether this was part of the chic.
T.
Amazing staff! Great coffee.. Always helpful, friendly and Hard working. They make me feel welcome every morning. 5 STARS :)
S. W.
Lovely service, lovely food! Perfect for those hungover mornings. Thank you ❤️
A. M.
Great atmosphere. Staff happy to accommodate dietary requirements. Loved the carrot and turmeric smoothie. Good outdoor space to eat and chat
L.
Lovely cafe, really welcoming staff. The food was delicious had the new lamb flat bread and the strawberry milkshake, best one I’ve had in a long time and all arrived promptly
P. T.
Great service, easy ordering via app, delicious food
S. M.
Food and drink are very nice, good service and helpful staff.
Prices are too high for the portions though. A decent sized breakfast for 2 will set you back just over £20 but overall I was pleased.
b. k.
Very busy, but for good reason. Great service, good drinks, classic homemade cakes, outside seating area in the back, extended seating upstairs.
A. D.
My favourite BTP in Bristol. Close enough to UoB for a short coffee break. The sitting space upstairs is really nice and has great views of Park Street, unfortunately it is usually full. Also has a garden which is open in summer (took me two years to discover it).
H. F.
great service, staff are really friendly, only improvement would be to allow tips on the online ordering!
D. L.
Great place brilliant music
L. W.
My first experience of Boston tea party, a lovely unique little place spread over a few floors with an outside area, staff are friendly and the place has a lot of character. Great selection of drinks and food.
G. P.
Very good local coffee shop, part of a small chain but actually their first one. Great all day breakfast menu, relaxed stay all day attitude and a nice spot to read the papers.
m. a.
lovely breakfast and such great staff x
E. F.
Surprisingly spacious area with a very nice staff and menu - I'd definitely recommend sitting upstairs.
A. A.
Great food & service!!
H. W.
Beware when busy. Really wanted a veggie burger, but the 35 minute wait put me off, so I settled on a cheese scone. Which was great, but still took 20 minutes to arrive.
D. T.
Decent but a bit expensive. Cakes can be dry though and hot chocolate doesn't come hot. Salmon royale was great.
J. M.
Lovely spot, great food, the service was excellent, Natalie was very friendly
b.
It's a nice place with good atmosphere, but I've deducted a star for having no vegan sweets left by only 13:00.
T. S.
After a brisk morning walk from Bedminster in the morning, Boston Tea Party on Whiteladies road is a welcome retreat to get my head down and do some work. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and a huge selection of teas make this an overall excellent cafe.
R. V.
Had a really good experience here this morning, everything about the place was pleasant and clean. Food was great and the vibes were positive
M. C.
Great coffee! And I'm fussy about my coffee. Plus the Banana, chocolate, caramel cake is AMAZING.
P. J.
I've been a regular customer since 2008. Good coffee and food. The service and staff are always great but the best feature is the garden.
S. S.
Really good food, but service isn't fantastic (had staff serve their friends in the queue behind me first a couple of times) and its a bit overpriced.
S. T.
I really like Boston Tea Party for their selection of food, smoothies/shakes, great Eggs Benedict and informal setting. This time the poached eggs were a little under-cooked and the table really sticky, though.
L. B.
Lovely atmosphere during the day, quaint terraced back yard, sunny aspect but unfortunately a huge tall building is being built just behind which will put this little yard totally in the dark ! Good selection of drinks, friendly staff.
P. C.
The city centre branch of this great Bristol based mini coffee shop chain. Lovely food and cake and a great place to meet friends or just hang out and relax.
R. F.
The coffee and tea selection here is brilliant. I've always enjoyed the food, the veggie burger is great and I would recommend a white Hot chocolate too.
M. P.
Really noce and cosy place with super delicious food. They are duper flexible- yoh can add as many things as you can to your meal and also have awesome beer that goes with it!
P. S.
Nice atmosphere and decoration. The food and drinks taste good. The staff are very friendly. However, the place is often busy and somewhat cramped.
i. j.
Best coffee I have tasted and avocado on toast was very nice.will definitely recommend you
K. T.
Allways great coffee, and good service. But they have tostart washing their crockery better. Fact. I love the atmosphere though.
K. T.
Although this is one of several BTP around this locale it always feels like you are at a stand alone cafe rather than a chain. Home baked food and great drink selection (tea, coffee etc) make it a must visit place.
L. P.
Over priced, edgy, middle class establishment. Food is OK, overpriced for what it is. Comfortable seating upstairs. The drinks are good, I would recommend buying a drink and working here as a student.
H. K.
Nice food, loads of vegetarian options and for a reasonable price. Plenty of seating upstairs too. Definitely recommended!
M. D.
Love the atmosphere of this BTP despite the fact it is always so busy! Food quality is great and the cakes and desserts are amazing.
D. A. C. S.
Good food and great service. Secret garden is amazing! 😍
D.
Lovely, friendly cafe, great options for gluten free.
I had a lovely gluten free toastie and great gf cake.
D. C.
Great burgers, friendly staff, and pleasant garden.
E. G.
My most favourite place for breakfast/brunch.. Can't recommend the sweetcorn fritters enough.. Lovely place and staff are always lovely and friendly..
f. f.
A nice place to make a break during the day with friends, have a good coffee or tea served with scones. The place has a nice atmosphere throughout the several floors.
Y. A.
Nice venue and menu too, but our mugs were noticeably dirty, and the bread I had with my soup was very dry. Staff were very helpful about that though.
R. P.
Great brunch, The West Country is delicious, brilliant friendly service, highly recommend going here
H. B.
Always a queue to order and no table service but coffee is good. Gluten and dairy free cakes are great.
E. D.
Cosy and friendly place. Good sandwiches, with a good veggie and gluten free varieties. Upstairs is really nice, good place for working or reading.
C. B.
Amazing breakfast at BTP! Highly recommend
R. H.
Great brunch at the original
T. T.
Lovely selection of tea with different milk options and spacious seating upstairs. Would recommend
S.
Ok but too expensive for the quality of food. The cashier was waaaaaaay too enthusiastic. She'd be better off working in a child's nursery.
N. P.
Great staff, all smiles and friendliness and insane coffee skills. Dog friendly which is a HUUUGE plus for me! And irresistible nibbles. Yumm!
S. C.
Grab a good coffee or sit and have breakfast with a view of Park Street as we did. Always relaxed but welcoming. Enjoy!
R. Q.
A very delicious coffee, you can accompany them with appetizers like sandwiches, they don't cost much and the business is well taken care of.
R. C.
Delicious food - I had the sourdough eggy bread and coffee and walnut cake. Lovely relaxed atmosphere too.
F. H.
Best place to go for tea/coffee and some food, especially if you are working next door at St George's! Relaxed atmosphere, and upstairs is looking great!
A. T.
One of my favourite eateries in Exeter. Lots of goodies and friendly staff. Coffee is good too.
G. M.
Americano coffee was really nice and not too bitter. Nice little patio in the rear. Good service
B. G.
Nice place to hang out. Pancakes with bacon and syrup are lovely. Also the free re-fils on tea is a nice touch.
H. C.
Great food and really lovely staff on Park Street - incredibly helpful and polite. BTP is great for children too.
S. T.
Affordable and great coffee
N. J.
Lovely choices of coffee and tea and a nice smoothie option. Very friendly staff. Plenty of seating upstairs.
L. A.
Place is well decorated, drinks are tastey staff seemed ambit preoccupied. Worth a visit but not that friendly.
S. B.
Lovely staff and amazing food and coffee!
P. N.
Expensive but high quality food and drinks. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. Lovely place for a pitstop on Park Street.
J. P.
Lovely garden and wonderful staff. Tried the guest coffee for the first time and it was great.
B. S.
Great food, great coffee, great service. Only reason not 5* is it's much louder inside than most other BTP's.
J. S.
Nice place, was busy though. Lunch has been better at other Boston Tea party's we have tried.
A. I.
Good looking staff, food not too shabby, nice grafitti opposite, too many stairs. That sums it, all other reviews are just extended versions of this one.
A. S.
Most delicious hot chocolate and lovely comfy sofas. This place was so big so there is plenty of room for you!
C. K.
One of my favourite cafes! Great service, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere.
L.
Great breakfast in the secluded garden
T. M.
Nice place but can get very busy and food timings can suffer a bit as a result. Great relaxed atmosphere though.
s. j.
Nice coffee but lovely staff, very friendly and seem to really enjoy working there
D. P.
Food and cost was ok but the vibe was very hipster-esque. I feel there are much nicer places throughout Bristol.
M. R.
Amazing brunch, lovely staff and even better food. If you are going to go for brunch/all day breakfast, this is the place.
S.
Great coffee, I had the salmon and scrambled eggs, super yumi 👌 and great friendly staff
D. W.
Good food and coffee. Nice staff. Flaky WiFi. Bad enough I couldn't work effectively here which is a shame
S. H.
Great breakfast for meaties and vegans alike. Good selection of foods and drinks.
A. W.
Nice, quiet, lovely food and drink. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you have work to do.
K. F.
Love the coffees, cool studenty vibe and a lot more character than your average cafe. Recommended.
A. R. L.
Not bad coffee and nice cakes. Reusable takeaway coffee cups with refundable deposit.
J. O.
Spacious, bright, airy, personable staff with tasty food.
That's pretty much all I needed for a great meeting!
L. S.
I'm a coffee snob, and good coffee is rare in Bristol. This coffee is well made using excellent beans.
M. L.
A lovely relaxing place particular upstairs. Food is soso but the hot chocolate is really to be recommended.

They have very good cakes and a decent choice of tea but the prices are really high.
K. H.
Great food, quirky atmosphere.
J. C.
Busy busy busy! Very popular for obvious reasons, choice of coffees, home-cooked food and pastry, lots of 'green','ethical'and 'gluten-free' options, very Bristol!
