My mum and I went to Witherspoon first in Yate. It was filthy dirty, no choice of food for gluten free except jacket potato, even less choice for vegetarians/ vegan. We walked out and went to Boswell's. Wow what a difference, spotlessly clean amazing choice of food very friendly helpful staff the young man actually cleaned our table properly for us which was just great. Fantastic place will definitely go there again and again.

Cheapish and possibly cheerful but as l was with my friend (Warning now) namecheck inbound👍..........the singer Jessie,check her out😉😊 l was more interested in the conversation.Anyway! the coffee was drinkable,can't say that about everywhere,a very extensive menu,looks very clean and well run.l have been before,will go again,my only concern is it's definitely a place to visit with a friend not alone.l saw many happy or at least contented patrons enjoying their lattes or whatever but no singles,maybe a bit too expansive and pen for singletons.Only my opinion,as with other places l visit.......give it a go and enjoy.

I was there last weekend. As naturally, the place was full of people inside (it was on Sunday morning). With all, the staff was very friendly and the food was so tasty, specially our cheese chips. We'll come back soon.

All day breakfast is amazing, staff happy to swap items if there's something you don't want. I had mushrooms instead of baked beans. Decent mug of tea as well, all for just over a tenner.

I stop quite often into Boswell's when I'm in Yate. It's got a little something for everyone and it's a good standard. Reasonable pricing and there's normally always a seat when I go.

I was asked what food I wanted as soon as I got in the door. I wanted a hot drink and cake but the cake was to far away for me to see so I couldn't order until I got nearer. Service was a little slow but it was lunchtime.

Nice enough coffee shop in a busy shopping precinct, cakes and food etc. The problem is the coffee. Last time I was here, it was acrid and burnt, tasted like rubber, coffee remade, still awful. Condescending kid serving "would you like a less strong coffee?" Zero clue.

Good menu, cleverly uses basic ingredients across the menu - so the baked potato filling will also be available as a sandwich etc. Excellent soups, served with croutons and a roll. The warm bacon and egg salad recommended. Very popular- busy - but staff work at full speed so not too long to wait. Terrific value.

Boswell's is a nice Cafe. It is clean, the service is prompt and the majority of staff are lovely. Where I am marking it down is 2 areas, price and range of products. The price of the food products is high and isn't necessarily representative of the standard. The range of products is very poor for those on a vegetarian or vegan diet, I'd like to see a lot more alternatives to meat based products.

A nice local cafe in the centre of Yate Shopping Centre. Food is reasonably priced and nice and they always do seasonal items too such as different hot chocolates at Christmas. Boswell’s offers ice cream & tango ice blasts which I find good in the summer as you can order them from the hatch without even going inside the cafe. Boswell’s is a nice little family cafe perfect for all ages. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
