Reviews of Burra
E. M.
Burra is a small, but beautiful jewel tucked in Redland. This is a family friendly and dog friendly place.
The menu is very nice and diverse with attention to the seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients.
You will find lots of vegan friendly, gluten free and healthy options.
No extra charge for oat milk!
And the coffee is roasted in Bristol!
Plus the staff is always very nice, friendly and helpful, even in the most busy times!
Every time I come to Burra I feel welcome.

If you are looking to go for coffee, great food or charming atmosphere. This cafe is the right place to go. The food was excellent. The best french toast in Bristol. The staff really friendly.

I've visited Burra on a handful of occasions and the coffee is always excellent. It's the reason I visit. It's one of my personal favourite coffee shops, not to mention one of the best places in Bristol for coffee. That says a lot because Bristol has heaps of really excellent cafes and coffee shops.
As much as I love the coffee, I love the cafe's interior too. It's reminiscent of the coffee shops you find in Australia. I only wish they served the coffee in glasses, then I would almost feel like I was in Australia! But given that they stock Tim Tams, all is forgiven!
Seriously though, if you are serious about your coffee, swing by Burra and give it a try.

The Burra Bristol in Redland is one of my top favourite coffee shops & eateries in Bristol.
Burra is consistently outstanding.
The team are engaging, always friendly welcoming and display a commitment to their ethos of community, sustainability, creativity
and ideas.
The menu is excellent, it's sophisticated and locally resourced. There are hints of its antipodean international origins.

We ordered take away of Latte and Flat White. The coffee came in very hot. The flavour was in nut taste and it was extremely greatttt~ The aftertaste were so sweet and rich!! Great vibes and friendly staff as well:)

What a wonderful group of kind folks! It’s really clear that Burra take’s their culture very seriously from the gorgeous interior design and overall vibe to hiring and training their staff because every single person I’ve encountered there goes way above and beyond. I’ve always enjoyed the coffee there but I think my favourite aspects of Burra are definitely (1) the brunch! (2) the cosy atmosphere and beautiful interior.
Highly recommended and thank you to everyone at Burra who’s made all my experiences there memorable 😊

Very different from the UK traditional café.
The menu and the taste of the food is wonderful I'm very glad that they have this special cafe around my house definitely will come back!
The staffs there are very friendly, feel very relax.

If you are looking to go anywhere in Clifton for coffee, great food, or a charming atmosphere; Burra is the place to go! The service is impeccable with friendly smiles and banter, and it is impossible to leave Burra without a smile on your face! The food is excellent with amazing vegan options. Also, as a Canadian, I was interested to try the pancakes... And I can say for certain that they did not disappoint! All around one of my favourite places in Bristol, cannot recommend enough!

Love the mix of culture of this lovely place! (where you can find some nice foreign product which are sell inside)
Nice place to get a nice smile, warm coffee and a French croissant!
Coffee are really nice and the place is always busy and we know why 🤩 The staff is so lovely and funny and taking good care about us.
Brunch Menu is nicely and attractive, we had the Feta eggs, the presentation is beautiful as you can see, and we appreciate the taste that you can not find everywhere. We came back for the Buddha Rice Bowl and the Eggs Benedict with salmon. We have been served quickly during lunch time so much appreciated.
Just a little bit confused about the French Pain perdu because it is not really a pain perdu. It is "buns perdu" My french mind have a little more expectation on this may be 😆
Price are fine and aligned with the area.
Thank you
L. L.
Amazing coffee! Oat flat whites consistently good. Staff are friendly and great to sit in for brunch too! The almond croissants are also very tasty. I recommend

I visited Burra for the first time on Monday, but I will definitely be going back! We got two slices of cake, a carrot cake and a chocolate torte and they were quite simply the BEST CAKES EVER! The torte melted in your mouth and the carrot cake was so well baked and tasty, I will deffo be going back for more and could not recommend more!
M. W.
Modern, spacious, friendly. "The lumberjack", pythonian jokes aside, is in fact only "ok" - there are better flapjacks to be had. But the coffee is very good.

Visited here a few times during our stay in the area. Velvety oat milk flat whites made with great coffee and solid service every time.
A very popular place but we were able to get a table when we popped by for breakfast; we chose to sit outside. When we visited on Anzac day, they very kindly offered us Anzac biscuits too. Also, they stock Tim Tam there, which is ace.
R. A.
Stopped by for a takeaway decafe. Cool vibes, bright interior, good place to sit outside away from the main road.
Friendly staff good pastry options and good coffee. Would recommend.

As a food fan, I love to find good places in wich city I visit👌. Burra is definitly a really good place for a brunch a lunch or simply a coffee to begin a perfect day in Bristol ☀️Personally this is my third times in this little paradise in Bristol highs and I can say that you must try their poached eggs this is like tasting a bright sun inside a smooth little cloud. The service is perfect as well as the plates and the drinks and all is made to give you a peaceful and relaxing moments of calm and serenity. PS : Special highlights if you have a dog they give it a little treat for free as well as they are very affectionate with them.🐶
S. J.
Love love love Burra! Great atmosphere, fab coffee, staff are lush, food is delicious and the cakes are amazing. I’m enjoying working my way through all the selection of cakes 😂
H. C.
Always a smile and friendly welcome at Burra! Great coffee. I highly recommend the feta eggs 😊
F. C.
What a gem! Started by a Bristol Bears trio, this café certainly doesn't follow the rough and ready nature of its rugby roots. It's a beautiful space, which feels modern yet homely. The tacos I had were delicious and authentic, and I enjoyed a fine cup of coffee and hot chocolate. The team were a delight too. A great experience

Great coffee shop with some excellent breakfast options. The brekkie bun was superb and the staff have a great aura about them of efficiency and chill. Highly recommend.

Picked up this delicious salted caramel brownie for an afternoon snack today. It was my first visit to Burra. The staff were so friendly and really helpful in suggesting what I might like. They also checked allergy information for me! Will definitely be back!
A. R. G.
Excellent new spot in Clifton! The latte is simply delicious and the backyard garden is such a gem! We will come back to try their food as it looked amazing!
E. C.
Very lucky to have this locally to us. Friendly staff, great food and coffee. Also super dog-friendly with treats and pets!
M. R.
First time here, with a colleague for lunch. What a hit. Very warm welcome as soon as I stepped inside. Fellow diners are all so fit and healthy and attractive I thought I was at an Ibiza yoga retreat. I had the salmon and rice which sounds boring but was extremely imaginative and full of diverse flavours from down under. Will be back for brunch.
A. P.
Cosy atmoshere, good food, extremely friendly staff, dog friendly and (thanks particularly to Sebastian and Keiran) the best coffee in Bristol!
A. W.
Lovely coffee shop. Staff are always so friendly and helpful and they have the best coffee!

Went for an impromptu Father’s Day brunch and the attentive staff made an effort to fit us in . Food was delicious and ,although very busy ,didn’t take long. Coffee and cakes were also great .
We were enjoying it so much that we forgot to take any photos !
It is a very relaxed friendly cafe and set us up for the day!
C. D.
Hands down the best coffee in Bristol.
The team are super friendly, kind and welcoming and always do their best to accomodate us when we visit with our little boy.
Quality dishes that make us feel like we’re back in Sydney! Lucky to have such a decent cafe with this vibe in Bristol. Highly recommended.
S. L.
our fav breakfast spot in Clifton. Warm, welcoming and everything is delicious 😊
B. M.
Excellent service. Staff are friendly, efficient and attentive. Very welcoming and warm atmosphere. High quality food and drink, very tasty and consistent. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious coffee and super friendly staff! I was served just before close and the coffee was top-notch.
J. B.
Burra for me ticks every box. Lovely staff with amazing coffee in a relaxed environment. The food is also really great.
Bristol has really upped its game in recent years and it’s thanks to locations like this. Bravo.
N. C.
Their scrambled tofu with sourdough is so tasty. Will revisit for sure.
A. W.
Great flavour coffee. Calming place to sit and chill (even with a young baby!). Really lovely atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely return!
C. B.
Just had stunning rice bowl here with soy infused egg for lunch, bursting with flavour and crunchy fresh veg and salad. Really friendly service, pleasant, spacious & clean environment, dog friendly and great carrot cake to takeaway 😀
O. T.
Great food, even better service.
Espresso was also nice.
R. A.
Best coffee I had in years. The most friendly staff!! They were so welcoming and so nice to my dog and baby. I will definitely go there again.
M. B.
It describes itself as Antipodean but I think Anticipation was the word for me as I'd seen Burra splashed all over my social media as the best new coffee hotspot in Bristol. It did not disappoint, the best flat white I've had in a long time and a great salted caramel and choc brownie. If haven't been already get yourself there!
J. B.
Great place to have a meeting over coffee, hands down better than the usual franchise places. Bacon sandwich was also really good, really nice thick cut bacon and cooked just right. I almost docked one star because I wasn’t given a choice of bread. I would normally go with the unhealthy white option, but the brown bread it came in was nice and fresh and made me feel slightly less guilty about having my third bacon sandwich of the week
j. t.
Amazing place with delicious food! The staff was so nice and the coffee to die for. I felt in love with their burger!
B. 1.
BEST cafe experience in Bristol. Incredible coffee, amazing service and great food. The interior decor and atmosphere are just spot on!! Definitely will be my weekly go to!!

Sat down outside. Enjoying a cup of mint myself and my hubby a cup of latte and croissants. Towards the end before I finish my croissants I paid all. when I leave the table I thumbs up my hand to say thank u and goodbye but suddenly one staff followed me in the car , saying I didn't pay my food..so I showed my receipts to proof I paid. He said aw,,,,,,.what a burra.
V. L.
Nice atmosphere and decent coffee. Chic minimalist decorations. Service was excellent too. Ordered pancakes and corn fritters for brunch. Food was average.
R. B.
Good atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, nice tasty food and drink and best of all it's reasonably priced.
I highly recommend this cafe over any other coffee shop.
I regularly come here as they make the best latte I've ever had.
Occasionally has expectionally good homemade carrot cake and lemon cake.
F.
Great new neighborhood spot. Love that the cups are compostable and oat milk is free of charge. Very friendly staff. Good coffee. Great almond croissants.
D. W.
I agree the quality of the coffee and crissants are 2nd to none and the staff really friendly. Although a bit pricey. Also rather annoying is seeing coffee cups and lids strewn on the pavements whilst we are in lockdown. Although you can't blame the staff for people's ignorance.
G. F.
Love this café, great coffee and the staff are always friendly. I’ve only given 4 stars as I would like more/ better vegan food options.
H. C.
I really like Lashings - it has a nice, cosy feel to it. Outside seating and a few more seats in the courtyard garden out the back. Very handy for Wild Oats next door, one of my favourite health shops. I was disappointed last time when I got there hoping for a latte that they now shut about half four - they always used to be open till five pm so I missed out. Not sure if they still serve matcha but if not, please bring it back! Dog-friendly.
K. E.
Once again great coffee and brunch with a good atmosphere.
M. B.
Great plate, need more like it, good food (healthy and varied) and attentive staff . Although I'd like more loose green tea options. hint hint.
E. G.
Beautiful environment, nice staff and service but the place is a bit cold. It would have been nicer to feel warmer inside in these winter days :)
N. A.
The staff are incredibly friendly and very professional. Great place for a good hot chocolate and pain au chocolat.
Best coffee shop I’ve been to
R. H.
Incredibly good coffee and really lovely people. Can not recommend highly enough.
T. H.
Probably the best neighbourhood cafe in the world
I. B.
Best non dairy cappuccino in Bristol - in my humble opinion…
S. A.
Lovely little coffee place, staff were lovely and chatted with the bearded guy, who was super friendly given the time of the morning. Great food and super fresh.
B. B.
Great coffee, excellent customer service, can’t wait for it to open up and get inside for brunch 🙌🏽🙌🏽
S. C.
nice location and you can sit outside as well which is really nice. Hot chocolate is amazing! Bagel with salmon and cream cheese is so good too.
M. W.
A comfortable and very friendly, 'independent' café.
I like the chili hot chocolate, but my 9 month old son just likes to read the children's books.
S. M.
Frist time visiting, while waiting to get into Wild oats, great flat white and service with a smile, love the coffee.
