Food choice is vast, has a decent size and is tasty. They give some versatility on breakfast choices, prices are reasonable. Seating is comfortable and the cafe looks to be well maintained. Service is friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend it to anyone. Car parks nearby as well, have vegetarian options.

Cozy place to spend an hour or so, we had a flat white, a mocha, a tea cake and a brownie. Apart a misunderstanding on the orders, all was fine. The charge an extra for non-dairy milk, something that I personally don't agree with. A star more for the very welcoming and polite staff!

Great place staffed by young people and the customer service was great. Large portions and very reasonably priced. Recommended.

Delicious pancake brunch, great portion. Pancake menu was a nice and interesting touch. Friendly welcoming service in a Covid-compliant cafe.

Quaint spot, ordered the large full English breakfast and it was definitely large. Couldn't quite finish the entire plate.
C. W.
Good food, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. No complaints.

Great service! All the staff are friendly and helpful. As well as keeping to all the covid rules. Food is great quality and worth the money. Fresh orange juice is a little pricey, but didn't stop me from ordering it.

Great food! Great service! Ideal if you have a short lunch break. Can highly recommend the Pan Solo!

We came here for breakfast having walked out of another restaurant with trendier aspirations. The staff were friendly and helpful - here we were made to feel that our custom was wanted. There was no problem moving tables to accommodate our large party. The food was quick, hot and well cooked. There was a choice of wholemeal etc. Overall, excellent value for money - much cheaper than the previous place, even though the food was better and more plentiful.

It's seems odd that this place has such a high rating. People may be too generous as the food here is OK. Nothing to rave about. The staff were friendly enough. We tried the special 'Pan Solo' which is a conglomeration of fried food with melted cheese over it. It tastes exactly how you'd expect it to, oily and cheesy with a bit to chew on. The vegetarian English is hard to mess up which they didn't but it was nothing out of the ordinary. This is a good place however for an inexpensive meal that will leave you full so you get what you pay for.

Was in a nicely desperate Saturday morning state and needed the comfort and friendliness of a full English breakfast establishment. The lovely gentleman running this place took wonderful pity on my friend and I after he told us that he'd stopped serving brekky and cooked up the most glorious and life-returning plate of nosh. Special treatment. Go there get involved. Enjoy life.

Well, we had a night out in Bristol and needed a fried breakfast to restore our constitutions - and found this place by pure chance (being visitors to the city). Great grub at decent prices served up by friendly staff

Nice friendly service. Food was quick and tasty. Even had gluten free bread for my full English! Great value for money. Shame I found it on the last day I was in Bristol. Luckily I'm back there for work soon! :)

Had lunch here today with my mum and was very impressed. Really welcoming staff, service exceptional! Thank you very much for our yummy veggie lasagne and huge lattes, wish we had more time so I could have tried some cake. Next time....

I thought I’d pop in for a cheeky fry-up before my haircut. Unfortunately it was not as cheeky as I hoped.
Vibes:
The space is pleasant. It’s kept quite simple and there isn’t a theme as such. I like how spread out the tables are and it feels more like a coffee shop then a cafe. It could do with a couple of sofas though to make it more cosy. It was also a bit chilly near the door.
Service:
The staff were friendly. It did however take 15 minutes to serve the fry-up. I found this odd as there were only a few other customers in there at the time.
Taste:
The coffee was good. The fry-up was on the whole average. The bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomato were nice. To make this a 5* breakfast I would expect the following: granary bread as standard, better quality sausage and homemade beans. To add black pudding and / or some avocado would also spice things up a bit.
Price:
I felt the breakfast was a little on the steep side. It cost me just over £10 for a large breakfast (with an extra egg) and latte. However, I do understand that this is as central as it gets and therefore expect to pay a bit more. I feel this price could be better justified by improving the quality of ingredients as mentioned above.
Summary:
Overall it’s a decent place. Although, (similarly to Ed Sheeran) I don’t understand where all the hype comes from. It’s just quite average. I imagine the friendly staff will bring in the regulars, although I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

Friendly staff, great breakfast. If you like your mushrooms fried to a crisp, let them know, as they come out fairly raw

Excellent food at a good price. Staff were very helpful and accommodating with getting me and my wife in her wheelchair seated considering that when we visited it was very busy. Looking forward to my next visit.

Good value, independent cafe. Simple cook to order food, an extensive menu to please most people. Good friendly service. Great place for a hearty breakfast.
M. J.
Nice and friendly staff though unfortunately my cooked breakfast was average and seemed entirely reheated. Not sure if the dirty floors and stained tables are intended but I wasnt a fan.
J. T.
Great value, excellent menu choice. A burger in the morning!! Hurrah for some sense.

Went here for breakfast and the food drinks and service were great.
Able to have a decent breakfast and a good cup of tea in a relaxed and friendly setting. Tables were kept clean and tidy as well as the rest of the cafe and the staff were polite and welcoming. I would definitely come back again
L. M.
Good food but pancakes are more like fried dough, bit weird but was still yummy, no complaints on the rest of the fry up, although we did get the iced chai latte - I've never heard of a cold chai latte, and I think that's because the powder doesn't dissolve properly in cold milk, in retrospect, would have got a hot one :)
P. O.
Great for breakfast - much better value than nearby hotels. Extensive menu for lunch which if I come back for leisure instead of work, I'd definitely try. Good coffee, too.
P. R.
Best food I ate in Bristol. Staff were very friendly and efficient, and I could almost taste the love that went into the home cooked breakfast. And the music wasn't too loud which is unusual these days. Great place!
H. H.
Definitely agree that this place's rating is a bit high for what I would expect. Have very mixed feelings about Off Centre as the banana pancakes I've had have been amazing, but more often than not I'll get the regular breakfast and this is where things are usually disappointing, while I think that the customer service is absolutely amazing, and the price is, in my opinion; fair, the quality of the food, particularly the bacon just seems quite poor. Consistently the bacon I've had (3 times before, not a massive amount but enough for the average customer to form an opinion) has been overly fatty, and just underwhelming.
In short, I would recommend Off Centre, just don't expect meal quality to be high.
J. F.
Their breakfast baps are second to none! Lots of choice of fillings with 2 of everything; for £3.75 I got 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausages and 2 hash browns in a bap. Really fast service and really friendly staff too!
В. Ц.
I had a sandwich and a cappuccino. The sandwich had only two slices of bread with an egg between them. The cappuccino was ok, but not really impressive. I had bigger expectations. It's located in the city center, but that was the only good thing. And it was extremely cold, I couldn't relax and enjoy the trip to Bristol here.
S. H.
Really good Coffee shop, staff are always friendly and welcoming. Use the café once a week at least.
TIP
If you work close make sure you call them to order breakfast baps and baguettes, absolutely amazing, shop looks really good after the recent refit, keep up the good work guys !!
C. L.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Some gluten free options (for breakfast) but great coffee.
K. B.
Fantastic breakfast. Had the American pancake breakfast and it was yummy. Amazing bacon. Great value, friendly, accommodating service.
A. S.
We loved it here. We were at a conference and the Off Centre cafe was just around the corner. The décor is lovely, the food and service good and the staff were really friendly. Next time we're in Bristol, we'll definitely be back, thank you.
B.
We called in for breakfast twice this last weekend and enjoyed it both times. I'd thoroughly recommend this cafe if you're in Brizzle although the chef could do with some singing lessons ;-)
T. T.
I can't wait until the area is pedestrianised. I can see the area becoming so successful. Embrace progress. Open your eyes to the rest of the world.
"Evidence from around the world shows that where traffic is removed and areas pedestrianised, businesses thrive and the areas are more successful."
Anybody who travels the world understands this. Bristol cannot afford to be left behind and Rees has made the right decision. Polluted city centres over run with traffic noise pollution and hazards do not make the best environment for bars and cafes.
Embrace pedestrianisation or remain with the dinosaurs.

Great breakfast for earlier diners. Many places nearby don't open until 8. This place serves really good food and we were on there 07:30 most mornings
W. J.
Great little cafe, good value and a brilliant full English breakfast. Not a chain and friendly staff.
M. S.
The staff was very nice and the food very good and tasty, it had nice music in the background and the way the place was decorated kinda took you back in time 60 years back in the steam powered machines period, only downside was the floor which was a bit sticky
I. B.
We spent all day looking for American style pancakes and finally got wonderful treat out here.friendly service. Fab~
S. C.
I had the best carrot cake ever and it was also gluten free! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! Absolutely recommended it!
O. M. M.
Not as healthy on the inside as it looked from the outside. Mainly fry ups and sarnies, which were super yummy but we walked in thinking we were going to get smoothies and healthy stuff!
h. c.
They are friendly and do a good range of gluten-free and also herbal teas. I was en route to my bank so it was convenient.

Flawless service, a lovely atmosphere and a really lovely spread!
My simple fried eggs on granary toast with a nice cuppa was perfect!
L. H.
Only 4 stars as we were unable to order hot food as we arrived too late. We had a warmed muffin which was lovely
A. J.
I always get a welcome and a friendly smile, even at 0700 in the morning. I get good quick service and quality food at favourable prices. I mean, what else do you want!
M. L.

H. H. H.
Their smoothies and English breakfast is tasty. And the service is incredibly!
K. R.
Looks a bit like a generic coffee chain from the outside, but don't be fooled - it's much more than that. Really good fresh, wholesome food (and not so wholesome too if you're in to that!).
A. S.
Very nice atmosphere and good breakfast but a bit pricey (coffee not included)
N. S.
Lovely pancakes and smoothies are good too. Relaxed environment. Would recommend the food.
N. C.
It was okay - good selection of food. I had the vegetarian breakfast and it was a little bland but good enough.
