I brought a frappe and a cake slice. Costed what I expected (cant remember exact price but around £7) cake was good and frappe was good. Around 2 minutes wait for both. There are a lot of tables but unless you are far away from the middle you can hear machines and usually a lot of people talking. The decor is great though and there’s restrooms for anyone that needs them.

Coffee and Cake. Really nice coffee, lovely staff working extremely hard, think they were probably a barista down. A reasonable wait in the queue but certainly not the staffs fault. A lovely atmosphere/surrounds, my personal favourite for coffee in Thornbury.

Usually friendly staff and welcoming and I love going in there, but not today! A girl with orange/pink hair served me, nothing wrong with the hair, it's just to identify her for her employer. She was really miserable and abrupt, I asked for toast, she said we haven't got any bread, no apology, no smile. I nearly walked out but my wife was already in there. I know they are working straight after Christmas but you can still be friendly. I must stress this is the first time, usually the staff are very friendly. Costas is just up the road?!

I was really disappointed by the service I received at Coffee 1 in Thornbury. The service was incredibly slow and took a few minutes before someone even took my order baring in mind I was the only one in the queue and there were 3 staff working. The iced coffee frappe I had to take-away was nice. A lot of the tables hadn't been cleared when I was in there which looked quite messy and I would say overall it could be cleaner.

Really large café on Thornbury High St near The Swan pub. Quite like a Tardis in that it looks small from the outside but has over 20 seating areas. The staff are friendly and know their drinks really well. I appreciate good customer service and I think it's remarkable that despite working in Thornbury once a month, the blonde haired lady that works here remembers my favourite drink and breakfast item. Would recommend for lunch with a drink for about £7+

It's really a pleasant place to have coffee and the staff contribute by being welcoming and friendly. I only went for coffee, but.... The fruit tart was too tempting, displayed invitingly, so... bingo, and it was so nice We were only passing visitors, but apparently, they welcome older people with connection difficulties. The decor and atmosphere is my favourite thing about coffee#1 along with the decent vegan options they have available which puts it above places like Costa and Starbucks for me. The drinks are fairly good in terms of size and quality. Prices are pretty standard for a coffee shop. The food is always good here, sweet and savoury. Service is quite friendly but can be a bit slow. Overall, a good place to go both alone or with a few of you, for a quick stop off or for a good few hours if you're one of those people who likes to plug in your laptop and make an espresso last 3 hours...

Coffee is always good at coffee no.1. It's nice and spacious in this one with lots of seating both chairs and sofas. The selection of food is good, and fairly typical of a contemporary Cafe. The team are helpful but fairly task focused.i.e could be a bit more friendly. However, I'm always satisfied with the service and food. Prices are as expected. Always good.

Also they have removed their outside tables which is such a shame when it’s till summer and the high street is closed needing the support of these retailers. Always great coffee and good variety of cakes and pastries. Cold juices are refreshing but expensive for what they are. Tables are cleared away frequently and the cafe is very clean. The soft furnishings are worn and uncomfortable. I’m never sure about the pastries on the front counter with or without the plastic sheet. The cafe is open and airy especially in Summer with the front open to the street. There are no tables outside. Best cafe in Thornbury.

Just love this coffee shop it’s always warm and inviting, great customer service and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Coffee is always perfect and the food is always fresh . Best place in Bristol, would not want to go anywhere else, thanks to all the amazing staff .

Saying you're coffee number one doesn't make it so, but the coffee is good and the cakes are nice too. Best to go when other people don't, otherwise it can be unpleasantly noisy and the queue is like something from a popular Disneyland ride. Staff are pleasant and helpful but I think they're overworked. Perhaps put something in the tips jar to show your appreciation!

A good selection of coffees and cakes/toasties. There is some soft seating available. If you select a sandwich from the cabinet, they will prepare it for you (with salad and crisps) and bring it to your table. Friendly and helpful staff.

I love coming here! The mushroom risotto is yummy! So are the GF cakes and at Easter the 'great eggscape' hot chocolate! It's very popular so a bit noisy, also lots of loud crockery noise! But worth going to.

I go into this cafe a lot. The environment is always buzzing. Slow service but tea and coffee is excellent and worth the wait. However, the food/cakes I don't rate highly. Cakes look great but the taste is disappointing, clearly have just come out the freezer and not always fresh! Tea cakes are lovely though! Toasties/sandwiches not great. Even purchased a packet of ginger biscuits which were soft and chewy... not nice. All this cafe needs to do is review and change the food they supply. Despite all this, I still go in for the great atmosphere and helpful staff.
