We tried their coffee that day, flat white and ice latte again! The blend was extremely great, and really tasted like beer. It’s light with sweet aftertaste, and most importantly, winey taste!!! We loved that a lottttt, definitely one of the most interesting blends we tried here! We will come again for their beer product!!

My favourite cafe in town. A rotating coffee beans and a beer selection you can tell has been been carefully curated. Delicious every time. They also have a cocktail menu! Great music as well so it's perfect to go to do some work, read a book or take a minute to just enjoy some peace. The staff welcome you like old friends, with a great talent for chat and knowledge of their products.

Ask most people to list their favourite hot and cold drinks and it’s likely two familiar candidates will come out on or near the top… coffee and beer, anyone? As a fan of both of these esteemed beverages, we thought a visit to Coffee + Beer was in order. Positioned on a pedestrianised section of Cotham Hill in Bristol, this espresso bar/tap room combo opened in 2017 and is now firmly established as a popular local hangout. As we made our way in and walked towards the counter, we were greeted by a warm smile from the barista. He was more than happy to discuss the drinks on offer and seemed to have an extremely high coffee IQ. After some deliberation, we plumped for a latte (shock) and, fearful of being judged (it was 8:30am...), limited ourselves to having a good look at the wide array of craft beers. We took in our surroundings while we waited: the interior of Coffee + Beer felt clean and modern with a decent amount of comfortable seating at the rear. There was also a small decked area outside the front that looked to be a nice place to sit and watch the world go by. The beans used on the day had been roasted by Square Mile but we also spotted a few bags of local Bristol favourite Triple Co Roast. The coffee lived up to our expectations (and the barista's description!): richly flavoured with a smooth, creamy body. It went down a treat and left us wanting more. In summary, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the ambience is just right and the coffee hits the spot, so you should definitely think about checking out Coffee + Beer when you next need a morning caffeine hit. Even better, the beer gives you an excuse to go back in the evening!

I usually judge a great coffee shop on their choice of grinders and espresso machines - although this is never a guarantee of coffee quality. Fortunately, in this case - coupled with a friendly & knowledgeable owner and great selection of coffees from the best roasters in the country - it is. (Nice beers too!)

Great place to drink and buy coffee to go (beans or ground). A nice place to study, work or meet friends/colleagues. The treats are nice too. Owner knows his stuff! At the office we regularly chip in to buy a common bag of beans there and have it ground on the spot. Very happy with the selection available, best value/price compared to others around.

Super minimalist but nice space. Good but small selection of craft beer. Very much enjoyed the can I went away with. Drink in cost is a bit much and they don't seem to have evening hours at the time anyone I've spoken too would like to go (Edit: I've been informed they now have later hours). However friendly staff and feels like given a bit more popularity and better hours could bloom nicely.

As a business, we are blessed to be surrounded by other great businesses who offer brilliant service and products. Coffee and Beer is definitely one of them. They have a large selection of different local coffee and local craft beers and offer tasting evenings. Dan is also a great guy, very knowledgeable and very welcoming. A must try for any coffee goers!

Working in close proximity to an absolute gem on Cotham Hill makes a working week all that much easier. Fantastic coffee brewed by Dan from locally roasted beans, whatever your palate Dan has the answer. An offering of high quality sweet treats by local producers including a personal favourite cinnamon bun makes Fridays a special day.

Huge variety of beans for a decent filter coffee, easy parking near by and reasonably priced. With minimalist decor inside and friendly staff, I'd definitely revisit for a filter in tbe future, only minor comment is that there's alt of 'space' but not alot of seats.

Great coffee! Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the selection of beans and suppliers. There is something for everyone here at a range of prices. I chose a more expensive filter and wasn't disappointed; I also learnt a lot in the process. Looking forward to heading back and sampling the interesting selection of beers!

Truly excellent independent craft beer and specialty coffee shop. The barista and presumably owner is well versed in his chosen profession and it shows. Lots of enthusiasm combined with knowledge lends itself perfectly to the way the shop is run. We tried the excellent Red Brick a 50% Columbia 50% Ethiopia bean roasted by Square Mile. The barista capably crafted us two excellent espressos that had the perfect "crema" and a delicate balance of flavours. Excellent choice of machinery too, the shop features a nifty Marzocco espresso machine. Great range of local craft beers on tap and available to take away.

Popped in this morning for a coffee on the way to work. Really, really good. £2.60, well rounded and milk at the right temperature.
