Reviews of Edna's Falafel Kitchen
H. M.
Lovely falafel and flavourful accompaniments. The medium salad box was filling. Lots of food for a great value!
K. P.
This very special and "independent" Falafel Cafe has a strong ethos of simplicity, community, ecology, organic and healthy living.
If you believe in supporting local and small family business with the best and most authentic Falafel in Bristol. Support Edna's Kitchen, she is a lovely lady who sure knows her Falafel.
For the most tastiest and wholesome Falafel in Bristol.
See you there!
T. N.
If you like Middle Eastern food, then Edna's Kitchen will be a good option.👌
Very delicious and healthy. The "duqqa" on the top of the hummus was a clever touch as well as the tahini sauce on the top of the salad mix.
M. M.
Great place to eat. Had the halloumi wrap, which was a great combination of spice and sweetness. Olives and herbs taste very fresh as well
A. N.
Some really good, he-made sweets, but the turkish coffee is like rainwater.
N. B.
What a treat! We stumbled upon this little gem of a place on the way back to the car park. It offers plenty of outdoor seating and a condensed, but well accomplished offering of food. This place also has a range of hot and cold drinks. Offers gluten free and plant based milks substitute.
In the photo is the regular Mezze Salad box I had the halloumi wrap which were both equally tasty and great value. Thanks for a great pitstop and keep up the great standard of food.

Food here is AMAZING! I had the most tasty, delicious, savoury, incredible falafel. The combination of flavours is just heavenly!
F. D.
Lovely fresh falafel pitta. Lovely ingredients and nicely seasoned. £5.50. Good choice of hot and cold drinks, nice assortment of vegan cakes
I. A.
Best falafel I have ever eaten! Fresh ingredients and very nice service
E.
They have great halloumi wraps and friendly staff I would defiantly recommend it
B. R.
Besr falafel in Bristol! Definitely recommend especially if you chillin in the castle park
C. W.
Amazing vegan food and hot chai lattes are a few items on the menu.
Friendly staff.

Lovely place. Sat here now enjoying global warming/summer with the climate protesters
Brownies and coffee this time but we've worked through the menu during kids time in uni. Never fails, always beautiful
M.
NOT EATEN HERE.
COFFEE?
yes, easy to recommend. Tastes nice, and made fresh rather than a machine. Fair prices.
Nice outside seating.
Food looks nice, but haven't tried myself. If you enjoy salad, falafels, and homus, you'll love it here.
T. C.
Lovely staff, amazing health food. Perfect spot to enjoy it!
L. C.
I tried this place for the first time last week, and wow! What a salad box. Totally loved every mouthfull. Went for some of the homemade chili sauce, which I was warned packed a punch. And oh my, it certainly did. Too much for me, but I was warned, so no way it's affecting my rating eveen though it was waaay to hot for Me, it was all soo tasty ... 5 stars!
Can't wait to go back
M. B.
Freshly-fried, full-flavoured falafels. Fantastic!
M. C.
Great lunch spot. Spicy means spicy!
M. W.
Unassuming small shop at the garden, yet it's so tasty! The falafel has taste on the inside, not just the outside. The aubergine in the sabich is well grilled, tasty on its own. The homemade spicy sauce is a real deal. It's so fresh and spicy -- even in my Southeast Asian standard
M. J.
Really great cakes and drinks (we didn't get a meal, but I love the planet-friendly feel of the food offered!) Amazing part of Bristol with good views. The staff seemed slightly stressed and not super friendly, but the food was great all the while!
h. h.
Really delicious falafel wrap, tasty and healthy. The nice man gave me a single falafel with sauce whilst I waited too!
V. S.
I chanced upon Edna’s only today and I would call it an amazing turn of fate.
The lady(whom I assume is in fact Edna) was kind to ask me if I had any food allergies and if it was my first time at Edna’s. She said I would love it and I definitely did.
I had a spicy falafel wrap and I can’t recommend it enough. I liked it so much that I’m going there again tomorrow. :)
R. K.
The falafel were nice and food was excellent
K. H.
Lovely little place for a coffee. Staff very friendly. The only negative point is if you don't like pigeons its prob not worth visiting.
D. H.
Wow, these guys wrap. Great menu, beautifully executed by professionals. There's a reason why locals send visitors this way - get yourself lunch here today!
H. W.
Best falafel wrap ever and definitely will buy from here again! The flavours were amazing combined together and the falafel's aren't like those nasty dry things you buy in the supermarket. I highly recommend this place!
J. S.
Really happy with the aubergine pita (whole wheat!) takeaway I had. Chock full of other veg ingredients as well and tahini. Delicious combination of flavours and hefty size for the cheap price. The staff was also kind enough to pick out the cucumbers for me upon my request. Also wrapped it in several layers of paper so I could have it for takeaway.
A. K.
This falafel is exquisite. I’ve traveled all over the world hunting for good falafel, and Edna’s is now at the top of my chart. High quality, quick service, and beautiful outdoor seating area completes the stellar experience.

My first visit to what will now be a regular for me. Bored of falafel wraps all the time I said I fancied something different. To this I was asked if I would like to try something new for them. Five minutes later I had smashed down the best seitan ıve had in a long time. Home made, tender and flavoured to perfection. Great value for money. They would be mad not to roll this out and make more of you as happy as me. Wonderful.
R. S.
Thier Falafel is rightly lauded and highly recommended. The added pickled lemon is a nice addition. Missed out on that elusive fifth star due to a limited variety of vegan cakes on my visit.
L. M.
Friendly service, nice drinks!
i. h.
Really high quality Falafel, very fresh and tasty salads too. I dare to say it is the best one I had in Bristol.
I would only try to improve the Pittas...i had better ones before...
a. r.
BEST FALAFEL WRAP I’ve ever had!! I consider myself quite the connoisseur when it comes to falafel wraps and this one ticks all the boxes. Falafels are packed with flavour, different from your mundane dry falafel. The salad and herbs that are added give it a different twist; dill, pickles, salad leaves, tahini the lot. Be mindful that the chilli sauce (optional) is HOT so don’t go crazy! The service is perfect and you will leave with a big smile on your face. Trust. I couldn’t recommend this lovely little place more!
G. E.
The meze box with falafels was just beautiful. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Now my favourite place to eat when shopping in Bristol.
A. S.
After reading about the food here had to try it out, wasn't disappointed, had the falafel wrap with chilli sauce, this wrap makes supermarket wraps look like cocktail sausages, giant sized & packed full of amazing tasting filling, easily the best falafel I've ever tasted, if anything could make me vegetarian this would be it! Next time I'll be trying the chocolate brownie as well which looked very tasty
P. T.
Cracking little hidden gem.
If you're in town, by the Castle Park end and are looking for a lunch time meal. Stop by Edna's for a taste. Some really interesting twists on regular fare.
If you are brave/adventurous enough, try the Sabich with Chilli Sauce. But you have been warned. I like spicy food and it was HOT. Of course, you can have it without, but where would be the fun in that!
Seriously though, there is something for everyone with the Vegetarian/Vegan cafe.
Couple that with some outside seating and after if you feel up to it, a quick game of Boules in the next door pitch! You'll have to bring your own, boules that is!
Try it, you won't be disappointed.
E. E.
There's some pretty tough competition in town for falafel, and Edna's rises to the challenge. Tasty falafel are accompanied by possibly my favourite humous and the spicy sauce and salads make for a brilliant wrap. It's a little pricier than Eat a Pitta, for the amount of food but it is a much better, more refined finished product.
They also sell sabich, which is definitely worth a punt.
The Castle Park setting is great too, lots of seating nearby. The staff are friendly and quick; I've never waited more than a couple of minutes...
R.
Food here is AMAZING! Vegetarian & vegan middle eastern selection, including vine leaves, falafel, tabbouleh, sabich pitta, & hummus. Very friendly staff. Wish I lived in Bristol so I could visit all the time!! (They also have some cool Sanpellegrino flavours I’ve never seen anywhere else).
R. D.
Top notch ultra tasty and made with love halloumi wrap. It was the best I ever had! Next time I'm in Bristol, I'll eat here too <3
J. N.
Bloody great falafel in pitta. Although was a bit disappointed to pay £9.50 for a pitta, a flapjack and a can of drink... Could probably benefit from some sort of meal deal. An expensive but VERY tasty lunch
G. P.
Amazing friendly people, who love what they do! I had the halloumi wrap and it tasted so wonderful! Definitely a place to hop by if you're around
F. T. J.
Really fresh and tasty food. Great service from Dominic, such a friendly person!
A. B.
This is truly "fast" food. The service is excellent and always fresh and tasty. The green chilli chutney is definitely worth a try. Highly recommend the falafel salad box

(Translated) I was looking for an authentic and cheap place to eat in Bristol and I found it, I arrived when they were about to close and they looked after me very well. I ordered Falafel Pita for £ 5, very rich and large. The great humus. A pity that it was raining and not being able to eat it on the terrace of the park.
