What a cool place! We had a quick pit stop here during a walk around Southville and absolutely loved it. Great coffee, nice food, friendly service and bags of character. Would highly recommend. Something to be aware of: it was cash only when we visited!

Nice and cosy atmosphere the decorations are really interesting and they leave you with a wow expression(I was sat at one of the back room tables). Their coffee is really good as well (I had a chai latte) sadly most of their cakes and sandwiches where sold out (which is a sign they are good and popular) so I will make sure to come back with a friend as well so we can try them out as well.

I agree with the other reviewers -- this place is great, the coffee, cakes, teas and the owner are all superb. It's an ideal place to sit and chill. They have a good selection of books around the place and we were allowed to help ourselves. "And don't feel the need to bring them back," said the owner, "people keep bringing us more." The owner is a Geordie and maybe this is what makes him so friendly and helpful. After we left he came after us down the street, waving my phone and my friends charger in the air. How many cafe owners would do that?

Stunning place, best coffee shop on North St!!! Bold statement I am aware,,, but I stand by it!!! I've been to over 80 coffee shops in Bristol mostly independent and hennesseys is my favourite!!! And if your nice the service you will receive is second to non,,, I don't advise you be a snotty customer here tho coz they'll turn on you! Most loyal customer base I've ever seen,,, anywhere,, (I've worked in retail and hospitality for over 20 years and I stand by my statement) 115 /45 rasta badges and a star!!

Feels like the only place left on north street that hasn't been gentrified and feels genuine. The owner clearly loves what he does and doesn't stoop to playing the same game the other coffee places are doing. Amazing sandwiches with made fresh each morning with the best tiger bread baguettes, the portions are huge, the prices are cheap, the atmosphere is a genuine expression of the owner and not a sterile corporate design like the other coffee shops near by. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming including the customers. I hope this small business is protected and never leaves north street, if Hennesys ever shuts down then you know Bedminster is dead. Please stay forever

This is my fave place ever. Mike who runs it is just lush and makes the most divine hotchoc you'll ever drink. The sandwiches are so yummy and he has the biggest collection of hot sauces you'll ever see. There is a huge selection of quirky art and memorabilia and games, plus my fave bit the mini versions of hennesseys itself and all the cool buildings on North Street. It's a real treat :) plus, he doesn't charge an arm and a leg for delicious coffee!

Been going here for a couple of years now, the best cafe in all of Bristol. Mike (the owner) is so lovely and has a real connection with the community. Best dark and white hot chocolates I’ve ever had, decent ploughman’s, plenty of wacky side sauces and he supports lots of local artists.

Our 1st time, but not our last. Run by a charming young (ish) man. A very eclectic decor (fascinating), we had two very well presented coffees and a piece of cherry shortcake mmmmm. We will definitely be back!

I haven't visited for a while but this is my favourite cafe on North Street. I live the others side of town but when I used to come in previously, I was always leaving things behind and Mike, the owner, and Arlene used to save them for me. It's got a lovely atmosphere and a great selection of herbal teas. They used to do my toast just how I like it. Very cosy. Must visit again soon!

By far some of the best coffee in the South West! The owner Mike is such friendly, chatty and funny guy that it's always a pleasure to be served by him. His coffees are smooth and flavourful, food is fantastic and incredible cakes. Go here and you'll never be disappointed!

In addition to my previous review, where I mentioned that Mike and Arlene were forever chasing after me with items I had left behind (mainly hand sanitizer but once, a "Get Well" card for my uncle who had had a fall and broken a few ribs), I have just read the review from a customer who said Mike ran up the road after them with their phone and charger. I appreciated Mike and Arlene's actions so much that one year I gave them a Christmas card and Arlene kindly gave me a card from herself and Mike. My friend was passing outside the cafe once and picked up some keys which had been dropped on the floor. He took them in and handed them to Mike, who gave him a free drink as the card machine was out of action. How kind! 😃

Hennesseys is such a lovely cafe. There's a massive tea selection, great coffees - some unique ones too - nummy cakes, and a really cozy environment. Also, Mike, who runs it is so personable and friendly. And if that's not enough, there are also free books!

This is a lovely small cafe at the end of North Street, the staff are very friendly and seem to remember everyone, my son loves going in here even though there aren't any toys or small person entertainment. They do a nice line in cakes and hot drinks, especially the hot chocolate, they do a small hot chocolate for children which is very useful.

The café is really well decorated with quirky posters, literature and skateboards. The owners were lovely. There are loads of books around to read, I got engrossed in one about Norwegian hiking and they let me take it home with me! Will definitely visit next time I'm in Bedminster!

(Translated) A place to relax with a good coffee or one of their homemade sandwiches or cakes, it has little variety but rich. It has vegetarian products. It is a place where you can buy any book or decoration of the cafeteria, highlight its varied style with an enriching experience with Mike, the owner has an excellent treatment even when you are a foreigner with a low level of English. Despite having 5 stars, I will put two small drawbacks, first, only having a gluten-free product and it does not always have it, the second is that you always have to pay in cash. (Original) Un lugar para relajarte tomando un buen café o alguno de sus bocadillos o pasteles caseros, tiene poca variedad pero rico. Tiene productos vegetarianos. Es un lugar donde puedes comprar cualquier libro o decoración de la cafetería, destacar su estilo variopinto con una enriquecedora experiencia con Mike el dueño te tiene un trato excelente incluso cuando eres un extranjero con un nivel bajo del inglés. A pesar de tenerle 5 estrellas le pondré dos pequeñas pegas, primera el solo tener un producto gluten free y no siempre lo tiene, el segundo el que siempre hay que pagar en efectivo.
