The best cafe in my view in my trip to Bristol. The lady was very very nice and helpful with highly courteous. Tried to customise my order out of the menu, and glad that I got it done. Tried scrambled Egg, BAPS, hot chocolate with some croissants. Believe me those were mouthwatering. Good and speed service even at a busy time. Must recommend to others and will visit soon again.

Nice. Good coffee, good sausage sandwich/roll. A little pricey but good. As for the £9 breakfast.... Disappointing! Only 1 sausage and two over cooked fried eggs! It was tasty, but when it costs £9, I'd expect well cooked eggs and more than 1 sausage. That said, the filter coffee was good and I would go back and give it another try.

I had an amazing experience at Penfolds, the staff were incredible, particularly the young member ellie who was so friendly and efficient! I would come here many times over as the food and drink was delicious.

The closest cafe to the Bristol Children's Hospital, with the best coffee. I just couldn't face another Costa and was delighted to walk into this covid friendly establishment. The staff were genuinely helpful and pleasant, recommendations were given my order was placed and while I was still chatting my breakfast bap was in my hands. So delighted to find this place, and the flat white was just perfect. (compared to the one from Costa I threw miserably into the gutter last week!) An all round great experience, really made my day, and I will definitely be back! Well, I've got to sample the other treats on offer! It's only polite ☺... 😂

An amazing place, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are polite and friendly. The food is local, fresh and delicious. Simon and his team do an amazing job of making every customer feel welcome and appreciated. They've also worked tirelessly through lockdown to still cater to the community and adapt to make everyone safe, thank you penfolds.

Lovely little coffee shop with a good selection of drinks, not such a good range of cakes but we did have a fantastic cinnamon bun that they warned up for us! Yum yum. There isn't too much seating for customers which is a bit of a downside but the staff were friendly and help allowing us to use the downstairs seating which looks like it is the staffs break room, still a nice sofa to lounge on.

The staff were friendly, the coffee was great and the food was tasty, albeit small portions. The downside to Penfold's is that the prices are on very upper end of what would be considered acceptable for what they offer. It rankled slightly to pay what we did and receive quite bare-looking plates. I'd go back for the delicious coffee but not for breakfast.

Found this place on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The three of us popped in for a snack and some drinks, we ordered coffees for the adults and a panini and a can of lemon San Pellegrino for my son and finished off with a selection of cakes (millionaires shortbread, pain au raisin and a cinnamon bun). The food and drinks were really great and we will happily return when we are next in the area. Give it a try, I think you’ll like it! 👌

The lunch wasn't quite as good as I was hoping. Not terrible by any means, but the veg/hummus/falafel flatbread could have had more filling (such small pieces of veg!), a sauce too. Pretty small, average latte too. I'd go somewhere different next time, like Workhouse Cafe just down the road.

Perfect location for a quick pickup when visiting the hospital, right across the road from the main entrance. We visited at lunch time and it was quiet in the shop, but we were getting a take away. I got the wrong panini (it was in the wrong location in the fridge) but was given an almond croissant for free as a sorry. Panini was still good even though it's not what I was expecting (got Chicken and Avocado - wanted the New Yorker though) but the croissant was amazing. Returned again the following morning for breakfast (Smashed Avocado, chilli, lime and poached egg) this was served on some bread that might have been a little too crusty, but delicious all the same. We sat in for breakfast, in the window seat as all the other tables were taken. It does seem like it might be a bit of a squeeze if it was full. The staff were friendly.

Super rustic and cozy cafe in a big city! Nice and bright, with really friendly staff and great food/drinks. Cool paintings in there, too! Reasonably priced, especially for food. Overall a great place!
