Had to stop in Bristol to get Tyres changed on my way to London and was desperately trying to find somewhere to eat whilst I wait. Found this place and whilst not a vegan actually decided to opt for that option. I was blown away with both the amount for money and flavours. Can see why they have such a good rating.

The staff were really lovely and the food was brilliant. We had sausage sandwiches (which were great) but we saw some veggie breakfasts go to a table next to us and they looked incredible. We'll definitely come back next time we're in the area.

We came here for brunch - four people plus a large greyhound. Staff could not have been more lovely, and I had the best veggie breakfast ever. What was great was that each item was excellent of its type - bubble and squeak was amazing, and the giant mushrooms beautifully done. Highly recommended.

Great value breakfast. Vegan breakfast was different, with a vegetable fritter, but it works amazingly and will be added to my breakfast repitoire. Very gluten free friendly - the waitress thought she saw some black pudding on the GF plate and privately went to double check with the chef this wasn't the case (it wasn't, all was good!) Great coffee too and all at a very reasonable price.

Ahhh I just love this cafe! It's my favourite place to go for breakfast. I have to say, the chef (who is also the owner) does the BEST POACHED EGGS IN BRISTOL! They really care about the quality of food and you can tell that so much love goes in your meal. Me and my boyfriend have moved to New Zealand and we hold this place so close to our hearts. The staff there are also so nice and welcoming and always took the time to chat to us. Thank you so much Faraway Tree. We will send you all a post card soon!

The food is good, but it takes a long time to arrive and it is expensive. Also they close pretty early. They should hire more chefs or make the dishes less complicated. The kitchen staff often appear very overwhelmed.

Angie went out of the way to accommodate a large group of 16 of us for Breakfast, and wow did she accommodate. We had only 45 mins to eat and everything arrived hot and to perfection. I will go as far as saying that the vegan breakfast has to be one of the best in Bristol and highly recommend it....we will deffo go back again. Thank you.

Went today. Lunch was excellent (chorizo dish for me, Kedgeree for her and hidden veg pasta for kids). Good value for the quality and they are generous with the recipe - my dish had plenty of Chorizo for instance. There's a corner with dressing up clothes and a few toys and books for kids which were appreciated by our 4 and 2 year old. Staff friendly and approachable. Thanks!

Another lovely visit to the Faraway Tree (I loved those stories as a child!). Once again the place was full of adults and children - there's always such a happy, benign atmosphere there. I was killing time with just a coffee but the food being brought to the tables looked absolutely delicious; with a daily changing menu the staff come up with some original delights, including at least one veggie option. It feels like I'm in a Clifton bistro when I go in there but less expensive. Really obliging staff. Well worth a visit. They even do breakfasts until 2pm and they close at 3pm.

Such a lovely spot, went with a little girl I look after. There is a great play area out the back and a lovely childrens menu. I had the kedgeree and it was delicious. I highly recommend visiting here. Got a really nice vibe could easily spend hours here.

Took my two toddlers there on a rainy day. We all happily devoured the soup, hot chocolate and cake - even danced while we ate. Then dressed up as princesses and saved lots of poor princes from dragons while my youngest raced on Bella the rocking horse.
