C. T.Excellent value cafe, just note that it's cash only (I don't know if this is temporary or permanent). They will pop your order through first and allow you to go and get cash, easiest is across the road at tesco.
Went with a friend, she had a full builders breakfast for only £5 as it was ordered before 10.30am. I had brioche french toast with strawberries and banana. I asked if I could have some scrambled eggs on the side, no issue. The food was gorgeous, soft and really thick bread full of flavour, topped with icing sugar. Also had a chocolate orange milkshake which was really strong as well and lovely.
Lovely staff in the cafe, great service and very chatty. Happy to help. Seems to be a little hidden gem of a cafe, we'd not visited before. We were actually due to attend a different cafe for breakfast but arrived to find it closed so went here instead which seemed to be a major upgrade anyway we were well pleased with our visit. Loads of variety on the menu, can't wait to go back.

G.On holiday and was looking for this Caffè, we walked 15 to find it and me and my partner was so glad we did. I had the eggs benedict with crushed avacado, my partner had a make your own breakfast and gave him a free pancake with maple syrup. We shared the pancake... Have to say it was all incredible!

V. M.I've been there three times (always on a weekend) and it's always busy. Fortunately, I haven't had to go away because there are seats available after a minute or two.
The staff are friendly and smiley. You may have to pay in cash, so bear that in mind if you go there with just your debit card.
The full English breakfast and the all-day American breakfast are amazing, I highly recommend these. Mmmm pancakes...

S. C.Has a very transport cafe feel which I like very much. There is a god menu based around breakfasts and sandwiches. The food is very good if you are not looking for anything fancy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place for a quick, filling meal.

N. B.Twice I've been to this cafe now when I've finished work and they have closed before the time stated on here. They need to adjust their times online if they are going to close at 2 and not 3. Last time they said it was because he had to to sort his car, which is understandable but again today I turned up for food and they were closed again, earlier than stated.
m.Lovely local cafe, with really affordable prices and huge portions. A real throwback cafe in some ways - good, uncomplicated food served by a friendly team. At the same time, it's a modern, clean cafe with a semi-open kitchen. Thanks for the breakie guys 🙏

o. m.Epic breakfast at this classic Cardiff caff this morning. Service with a BIG smile, a warm welcome from the friendly chatty staff. Despite it being pretty busy (football game on) our breakfasts arrived really quickly, and were perfectly cooked. My wife had a builders, I had a cafe 37, my daughter a tuna and mayo baguette and my son a bacon and egg baguette - all disappeared very very quickly, and we waddled home, secure in the knowledge that no further feeding would be necessary that day. We have a new favourite!

N. P.Cafe 37. What a great place to go for a great breakfast. Literally do the best breakfast. Whether you want an eggs benedict, a classic American breakfast with pancakes and waffles (I fully recommend that you try the waffles they are divine) or you can have your trusty full English. The smoothies are great too. The only negative (which is not negative!!) is that they are super busy and spaces can be limited. So if you snooze you lose. Don’t miss out.

A.This is not my first time to order “..I like your food especially the omelettes.. but today your food doesn’t seems okay.. the chicken fajitas for the jacket potatoe smells horrible and even doesn’t taste good. Please try to wash your chicken well and I advise you with some lemon so the smell can go away..
J. C.Small little American styled cafe. Didn't realise that they didn't accept card after I ordered. The staff has friendly enough to reserve a table for me and start processing my order as I found some cash. When I got back there was another customer at the counter that hadn't been served yet, and she quickly took my cash before seeing to the other person.
Ordered simple food and drink (pancakes and an americano) which were perfectly acceptable. Pancakes same with hash browns and a very generous serving of syrup 👌

I'm a really fussy eater and for a place to appease me is very hard, I rarely leave reviews for any establishment as they would be negative. Cafe 37 is the exception and I never have to worry anbout the quality of the food at all!

J. C.Café 37 is arguably the original and best greasy spoon in Cardiff. Any student worth their salt will know and adore this place and consider the large breakfast a rite of passage on a Sunday morning.
The decor may be old, the seats may be cracked and tables a bit sticky here and there, but this is all part of the charm, and we wouldn’t want to change it. Without question, Café 37 delivers on quantity, price, speed and good old fashioned tastiness.
