A place for coffee aficionados. Minimalist design with great ambience, serving high quality coffee with a range of roasted beans to select from. The staff is very knowledgeable and keen to provide information on questions you might have and help you choose the best option for you, be it V60, espresso or cappuccino. Love the pickup playing vinyls in a small corner and watching the sunset from the front window while having a cappuccino. Highly recommend.

Seriously good coffee shop on Crwys Road. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always very welcoming. The coffee is very reasonably priced, and yes, you guessed it, exceptionally well made. They allow well-behaved dogs which is another bonus. I never used to even like coffee that much... thanks Mec for getting me hooked! While not immediately obvious, the Bulles Wine section towards the back of the shop is worth looking through. Ask the staff and they can talk you through their ever-changing roster of wines.

Mec is a small but perfectly formed cafe and one of the best places in Cardiff to get an artisanal coffee. The owner/barista Will is friendly and very knowledgeable about the coffee they use and the various brewing techniques. Also, it’s not just coffee that they excel at, the hot chocolate is one of the best my wife has ever tasted! I would highly recommend stopping by Mec!

What an amazing coffee shop in cathays, cardiff. Cf24. Tasty lovely aroma vibe its great. For coffee specialists out there amazing. Flat white to die for. Wonderful coffee and a really friendly owner. They've a great range of espresso and filter options available, plus some delicious cakes. They're upstairs in the Castle Arcade, and you can book out the room they have for your household so you can enjoy a quiet space. You can also take out a coffee into the Cardiff Castle grounds or to the Castle Quarter space in the street.

Had a really lovely first visit and staff seemed genuinely pleased to serve me. Great selection, these folks know their coffee. Also wine shop, with vinyl. Didn't even get around to thumbing through that. Coffee was really good, cute little spot for bringing visitors to the city. Looking forward to my next visit.
