I absolutely 💯 ♥ love coming here with my carer and having a lovely bite to eat at the cafe and they serve vegan meals now too. And its close to the beach ⛱ too. So it's a lovely time spent relaxing.

I have been to sea view dinner twice and I can honestly say this is the best cod and chips I have eaten, their homemade tarter sauce, mushy peas & curry sauce really taste fabulous.

We’ve never been disappointed every time we visited seaview cafe. We had cod and chips today, Chunky Cod and chips with great taste. We will definitely visit again. I asked my daughter when we got home what she enjoyed most all day and she said the fish and chips 😊 😃

A cafe for everyone, including a coeliac. Unlike many restaurants that offer Gluten free options but don't have allergen fryers or separate food prep areas. This cafe offers genuine safe options. Tasty hot food too. My boy enjoyed his chips without worrying about being sick. My wife had a beautiful Cod, my other son loved his chicken burger & my scampi also hit the spot. Will be back again

Service was great. Very good social distancing and felt very safe. Chips were absolutely gorgeous but the fish was waaayyy to much batter and not enough fish unfortunately. Tasted lovely tho. Kids meals excellent size.

The food itself was delicious, however the chips could of been hotter. Asked for a large portion of chip, clearly not a large portion, small at best, also a battered sausage but that was delicious. 3 people who got served after me got there food before, even though my order was smaller than theirs and clearly before. All over an poor experience.

So impressed with how friendly and hard working these staff are when faced with a continuous queue all day. Very well managed, was given waiting time and nnumber when I ordered, it was pretty accurate. Had excellent fish and chips. Could you put a menu board along the queue please? Most people socially distancing. We took all our rubbish home and didn't see too much.

I have been in seaside catering and the food industry for over thirty years. This place meets all the standards of a well run business with excellent food and service which is friendly and warm. The hot food is satisfactory and the portions are modest, suitable for kids and adults with a twenty minute wait at busy periods. They also offer cakes, biscuits and other snacks. There is also a doggy water bowl and toilets.

We have been there earlier today and we absolutely loved it. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Food amazing and worth the money. Chicken nuggets for children made from real chicken breast. Home made coleslaw the best we ever had. Beef burger amazing. Very nice experience.

Had a lovely fish finger sandwich top quality and looked like homemade tartare sauce which was delicious. The homemade cakes looked lovely too but we only stopped for a quick bite so didn't sample them on this occasion. Prices very reasonable especially considering the quality.

We came here instead of going to the oyster bar. Been here a few times and the staff are really nice and the food is great even though its a Cafe and you would normally expect greasy food far from it, the fish and chips where delicious, chips not greasy or fatty more fresh and crispy and they do a delicious home made tartar sauce and they where really accommodating with our baby aswell so definitely recommend a visit.

Ordered a Tuna mayonnaise sandwich today and received 2 thick slices of stale wholemeal bread and tiny piece of dry Tuna inside! What a shame because lovely setting and been told cooked food is good. We was in a rush to pick children up from school so did not have time to complain but think it was very unreasonable cinsidering the price of the sandwiche! Hope they take note because a nice little place to go when your local.

Always visit this coffee shop when coming to Mersea. Staff are friendly and the food and drinks are always great. They have a good system in place during COVID as well meaning they are able to be open!
