This was one of the first cafes I visited when I came into the UK a year ago. Fast forward a week ago I visited them again, was good to see the same level of service and the friendly staff. Quick service even when the place was a bit crowded and the food was also great for the price point. The vibe of the place is also great to just sit and work or have a chat with friends. Overall a good experience.

We don't love Coventry, but we ABSOLUTELY loved this coffee shop. The atmosphere was fantastic. We could've day here all day. The staff was extremely friendly, and the coffee prices were great. About 2-4 pounds per drink. Would definitely recommend, and definitely a bright spot in our trip to Coventry.

Second time coming here, decided to write a review since it has been a great experience. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and chilled, perfect for a lunch on your own or with friends. I’m a big coffee fan and my first time I ordered cappuccino and second a mocha. Amazing baristas! Smoothest coffee I’ve had in a while, went down great with my meal. The food is also simple but flavourful, there are plenty of indulgences but also healthy choices. I went with the eggs royale and smashed avocado with added egg. Super fresh and tasty, will definitely try other items on the menu next time. Smashed avocado meal however had a very strong scent of lemon juice though, they should put a bit less of that, other than that it was a wonderful lunch. Don’t hesitate to give this place a quick visit!

This coffee shop is part of the Coventry Transport Museum, but it's accessible from the street for everyone else to use. The coffee was exceptional, so we went back again later for another! They had a nice range of cakes/pastries and service was good. Prices were average and not the usual rip off experience you often encounter with museum cafe's.

I love the food! I love the coffee! I love esquires! One of my favourite coffee shops when I have to go into Coventry. Much better value than Starbucks and Costa, and is clean and the staff are really nice and friendly. Not rushed. Nice environment and great to chill out and work with my laptop!

I went to the pug cafe event that the owners put on on Sunday the 24th April. All I can say that the owners are absolutely amazing and so lovely. The even they put on was fantastic and it was great to meet fellow pug owners. There was nothing that the owners could have done to improve this. I would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends! Thank you so much guys, my beautiful pug Zeus had an amazing time as did I!

The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the coffee is some of the best I’ve tried. We visited here for the Cockapoo party in March. It was well organised and the event was great with lots of things for the dogs to do and meet other dogs of their breed.. Catering for a Xmas Party - We used Steven and his team for a function for 100 people and OMG did they deliver. The whole process was so easy, from the easy choice, to the prompt delivery and the presentation was very classy. The food came in beautiful presentation boxes and were buffet ready by simply removing the lid. The portions were very generous and everyone commented how nice it was.

The mushroom was so dry and rough to bite through and had fur on it. It tasted like and had the texture of cardboard and everything was very underwhelming about the food. It felt like I was eating a plate of cheap frozen items that were not seasoned and extremely dry. I would prefer all of the items, especially the spinach leaves, to have some oil/seasoning added to them rather than being dry/bland/unpalatable. Maybe you could cook the spinach/tomato slightly and/or add olive oil and salt/pepper? And don’t overheat the items so that they lose their moisture and become so dry. Having said that, I am very impressed with the range of organic drinks you sell and would love to see more organic food items added to your menu! The smoothies are delicious and I would love an organic smoothie option too!

Gob smacked today.. normally a nice place for a hot cuppa and a sit down...today I was shocked...the worst cup of tea in my entire life.. undrinkable..the nastiest tea bags I've ever had...and then I had a coffee because the tea was undrinkable...it was stone cold...no heat at all..so I asked for a hot one... tepid...Babys bath water hot...so that's my last visit...disabled veterans like hot drinks to.. normally I say good things about places but not today..up your game folks..buy some decent tea..after all it's Britain..home of the good cuppa.

* After the response to my review from the owner, I have changed my rating from a 1 star to a 4 star. I'm so pleased that they took mine and other comments on board.* The photo here shows a screen between the customer and the staff that at least partially separates the two but that was not there when we visited and the cakes were laid out in a lovely rustic display. Completely uncovered. In the middle of a global pandemic. The staff did not have facecoverings on and anyone queueing breathed all over the cakes. Not great in normal circumstances but in these times?! We did not partake. When I queried it, the chap just responded that "that's the way we always display them". Unbelievable. So irresponsible.

I recently attended a business breakfast meeting along with 25 other local business people and was very impressed with both the quality of the coffee and the food that was served. Having plenty of space for our meeting, the coffee shop was very clean and all the staff were both helpful and friendly, especially Steve, the owner. I recently ordered Esquire’s afternoon tea for two, for home delivery in Rugby. The lunch box arrived, personally delivered by the owner, Steven Prime, who is charming, and initial impressions were absolutely superb. The wonderful variety of food, was presented in a wonderful see through box with a pull out tray inside for easy access and usability for a table outdoors. The food was all extremely fresh, with an array of sandwiches, cakes and fruit, but the star of the show had to be the gigantic sultana scones with individual pots of jam and Cornish clotted cream, no less! These really were the best scones we have ever tasted! In fact, we found that the quantity of food was sufficient to comfortably feed a family of 4 ! We were all very impressed with the overall presentation and food selection, and will not hesitate to order again, and recommend to friends and family, including trying out the other items from Esquires’ home delivery menu, both for special events and for a great family treat! Thank you to Steven Prime from Esquires Coffee Coventry, from the Thomas Family ~ we’ll be placing our next order very soon !

A "toasted" cheese and ham that wasn't toasted, the cheese on the top slice of bread of the sandwich had been melted but the cheese inside the sandwich and the bread definitely wasn't toasted. And £4.10 for a glass of freshly squeezed OJ. One of my favourite places in Coventry to relax with great food and coffee. A large open space. Serves hot and cold breakfast, brunch and baked goods. Friendly staff. The cafe is open to sit inside or takeaway.

I've been going here since it first opened (8 years ago) and have always preferred it over places like Starbucks and Costa. Although it can get quite busy, it's still significantly less hectic than other places. The coffee is great and they also have great milkshakes and smoothies (definitely try the mango and papaya one). Staff are always lovely and helpful and Steven is great!

Afternoon Tea It was my Mum's birthday during lockdown, and as she was unable to leave the house, I ordered her an afternoon tea from Esquires Coffee Coventry to celebrate. The communication prior to delivery was great (even asking if I wanted a personalised birthday message on the card) and they were able to accommodate my last-minute change to the delivery address (that morning). Coffee shop attached to transport museum in Coventry city centre opposite Pool Meadow Bus Station so coveinient to locate. Selling breakfast lunch opens Mon to Fri 8 to 6. Sat 9 to 6. Sun 10 to 5 i think. Food and drinks typical coffee shop fair pastries cakes panini,s salads soup sandwiches ect.... They do seem to get a fair amount of staff changes of late waiting time in busy periods can be quite long 15+ minutes so in this period don't expect a quick dash in for coffee. May be Steve Prime. the owner. should be investing in an express drinks and pastries only bar, just a thought other than that worth a visit, although coffee shops like Esquires are typically getting a bit pricey unfortunatly. BUT that said an excerlent place to relax with your fav drink.
