Very friendly with excellent coffee and tasty snacks. Although Been Coffee is at a services it isn't really part of the services and is a standalone coffee café with its own atmosphere - being at the services just makes it easier to get to. The staff were really friendly, the environment was relaxed and enjoyable, the cakes are locally made, and the coffee is superior to places like Costa. Definitely call in if you're driving by, or even consider going specially - it's worth it.

You can just feel the love when you walk through the doors. Totally obvious huge amounts of thought and creativity has gone into this place and it all comes from the heart. I had a latte and salmon bagel and my daughter had banana and oat smoothie witch were very nice. Great customer service and of course sarahs great big smile.

Stopped for a coffee and a cake. What a lovely surprise! Independent coffee shop! Sarah, the owner, was so friendly and the atmosphere so relaxing! Excellent coffee and cakes too - we had 3 of them at the end 👍😊

Thought I try this coffee shop today and was shocked to find out that they do gluten free on most things which was amazing and I do have to say the cakes gluten and none gluten taste amazing and the gluten free panini taste great . The only moan I have as the sausage cob could of done with the cob been butted as it was dry to eat . It was lovely and clean and staff was very nice and welcoming . I would recommend anyone to come here as it the best Coffee shop for miles . Well done to the owners you do amazing job . Let hope it don't go down hil like most

Amazing. 10/10. Some of the best coffee I’ve had. Perfectly pulled shot of espresso, with no hints of bitter or sourness which shows a passion for the product, not just the profit. Miles above Starbucks or Costa or any other chain, at virtually the same price, if not cheaper. Paid £12.55 for a latte, a large iced latte and a bacon & sausage bap. The bacon & sausage bap is the best I’ve ever had; amazing bacon & sausage sourced locally, and the bread was lovely too. Cannot recommend this cafe enough; it’s worth a detour!

Very nice stop off on our way to Wales. Had a first rate bacon & egg sandwich with a large cup of tea. Latte coffee was also very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. A cracking little independent coffee shop amidst a host of big branded franchises. It deserves your support if you're in the area. Go visit, it's well worth it.

A very fresh coffee place we visited while on the promotion tour of the movie - Supreme Motherhood: The Journey of Mata Sahib Kaur Ji. We were served by the founders who were very kind and welcoming 🙂

I visited several times in the lead up to Christmas when the shop was newly open. It is a fantastic coffee shop with friendly, helpful staff, a pleasant chilled out atmosphere and most importantly, excellent coffee - my go to has been a large cappuccino with a shot of hazelnut syrup, which is pure heaven. I do also really enjoy a ham and cheese panini and a bit of cake. Yummy.

Stopped off at Been Coffee on way home to Birmingham. Very friendly staff, nice smoke salmon bagels and a good flat white. The prices I suppose are average for a busy services area but it was still nice to support an independent coffee shop. Will certainly use again if we’re in the area.

We stopped here this morning and had sausage bap, bacon bap cappuccino and white americano. The food was so lovely on fresh baked bread from a local supplier as were the bacon and sausages. The coffee was so nice we've started to think of reasons how we can justify going back more often as we don't live locally. It's just so nice to discover local independent coffee shops that make great coffee and food and serve it in a really helpful and friendly way. Well done to the two guys that were on this morning. We were well impressed.

Absolutely amazing! Fast and friendly service and good prices, especially for the quality. I had a chai latte and it was the best one I have ever had. My husband had a coffee and said it was really good, clearly great quality. Just stopped on our way home but wish we were more local to be able to visit again!

First time visiting this coffee shop, clean, reasonable price and friendly service. Ordered a large latte and it was as good or not better than you get from Costa or Starbucks and I have had my fair share of latte’s up and down the country. On another plus side it is also a local family run business so helping small business is always a plus.

Really friendly, beautiful coffee & comfortable seating. The cakes looked amazing but on a diet some couldnt try any! Lovely to have a coffee in an independently owned cafe as opposed to the usual 'Global' ones. Can definitely recommend!

I don't usually stop at this services as the other places are very average but expensive. Saw this cafe today and took a look. Really nice and inviting, friendly staff, chilled ambience. Good coffee and would recommend the salmon bagel. Lots of stuff on bees, the environment and recycling etc. Will definitely be coming again.

This was an absolutely beautiful find during our travel north. Hidden in a none-significant service station, this small gem provides the traveller with a hearty welcome. This family run business is wonderful. The staff are so sweet and accomodating and their coffee and brownies are to die for! They also sell bee bombs for the environment and aparral if you fancy yourself a holiday coffee shop purchase. Please support this small local business. You shan't regret giving them your custom! I look forward to returning in my travels south.

Such a lovely atmosphere. A sense of space and calm with soothing, but not boring, music on the speakers, vibrant colours to the furniture and intense flavours to the food and drink. I had a Flat White that was tight with intensity, and good variety of flavours in my goats cheese and pesto toasted bagel. Oh. And the frangipane slice that I brought home. Wow!! Just beautiful in flavours and aesthetics. Good quality ingredients are used throughout Been Coffee. Highly recommended.

Fresh rolls with bacon (husband had bacon and sausage). Excellent quality. Coach load in there but girls handled number of customers efficiently. Coffee and teas were excellent too! Choose fresh and local over a vending machine any time!

We dropped in for a coffee (and croissants) when travelling. This establishment is an Independent outlet and was warm friendly and welcoming. Good proper coffee great pleasant service. Thus our travel break was relaxing. Just what you need. Please go there and support them.

Didn't know this was at the services. Called in because if seeing a Costa sign. What a great find. The founder's work behind the counter and it was nice to read their start up. Great coffee, wife loved the banana and chocolate cake. The bacon cob was perfection. This place needs to be highlighted more because its a gem of a place.

Quite liked this place, Lady behind the counter was very polite. Big big windows letting in plenty of natural light. Sat right by the window in a comfy chair, also had a cushion, which for me with a dodgy back is a win win. Coffee was nice and smooth and you can get bagel’s, panini, and cobs here. Also do bakes on the counter. Was nice and quiet (plenty of visitors) no hustle and bustle, ambient noise was peaceful with slight background music. Also noticed a high chair in the corner…..forward thinking 👍Really welcoming and very clean and modern A+

Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and better coffee! Take your time to get to know and chat to the staff if you have time, they're always interested! It's good to know there is a local, independent and ethical coffee shop nearby. I strongly suggest giving them a visit, also a walkable distance from Willington.

This is a smashing little place, but you may not notice it at first glance. Look across the main car park away from the main building and it's the last unit on the right. Really lovely place with wonderful bakes & brews - would highly recommend it. If passing on the A38 or the A50 & you see the signs for Burton & Derby services, pop in & give it a go - no guarantees but I suspect you will enjoy their wares.

Best coffee we've tasted ! Carefully chosen coffee fabulous hot chocolate with choice of diffetent types of chocolate ..great panini, bacon rolls and vegetarian options. All cooked fresh. Service was super, lovely friendly staff. Toilets are immaculate! Well worth the stop and so lovely to see an independent coffee shop 😀 loved the bright and contemporary interior-)

Was on a charity motorcycle ride today and the meeting point was Willington services. Decided to pop into been coffee for a drink, went for a dark choc mocha and it was absolutely lovely.. The shop is nicely decorated and the cakes look Amazing. If you're driving by and need a rest you can't go wrong.

Possibly the best cups of coffee I've had. I popped in as the other options for coffe at the services are subway or KFC, and anything usually beats them. I ordered a mocha, fantastic deep coffee flavour, and got to choose the chocolate (real pieces, not syrup or powder). Me and my little girl also ordered a giant!! cinnamon bun and a pastrami, mustard, and gherkin bagel. Both were absolutely fantastic! The coffee was so good I got back to the car, and decided I needed another for the journey, so treated myself to a flat white ( apologies to the conossures, I just prefer with milk) The staff were also really friendly and knowledgeable and seemed happy to be there, it was a very welcome change from the big chains! In summary, the coffee and food was fantastic, and the feeling you get from supporting a local and independent establishment is nearly as good. I'll be back next trip, I'll even make a detour if I have to!

Not often would I rate something 5 stars, but this little place deserves it. Popped in on a break, to try the coffee instead of the alternative coffee chain on site. I'm glad I did ! Friendly staff, great coffee and lovely cakes. Well worth a try.

Amazing place! Absolutely worth a visit! We stopped off here on a journey, completely not expecting to find such a gem! The food and service was so good we made sure to come back then next day on our way home. Both visits left a very impressive impression. The food is ridiculously delicious, really fresh, super quick and very reasonably priced. You HAVE to try one of the cookies, one of the best cookies I’ve ever had! The staff were wonderful, they were friendly, helpful, efficient and generally lovely! Free and plentiful parking, right outside. Free WiFi Dogs were welcome (not that we had ours with us, but she would’ve been very happy there if she was) Toilets were clean and well stocked. A really lovely, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Brilliant environmentally conscious and care has been taken with every step to be sure of that. Thought has gone into every little bit of this this place and it shows. From the chill, non generic, perfect volume music to the ridiculously tasty food, this place really is brilliant and we were so lucky to stumble across it! I just wish we lived closer as we would be able to visit all the time to be honest. An independent and well run cafe. An absolutely perfect example of what we need more of! Called in yesterday on the way to South Notts. Really good little cafe, and so much more pleasant than the miserable offering in the Shell/KFC place opposite. Lovely hot chocolate, nice cakes!
