Nice clean place. Atmosphere could be better. Nice modern decor. While I was there tried out the Chicken burger meal. The food was alright nothing special. Price wise was steep in my opinion for just a burger and fries.

Cafe Ashiana is actually one of the best all-rounders as far as food (including dessert) shisha and drinks are concerned - I’d probably go as far as saying one of the best outside London! My third time of visiting (from Sheffield) and it’s been impeccable each time. The most recent time (Fri 12 Nov) we decided to try food and we both opted for the smash burger with peri fries. I can’t begin to tell you how much this burger absolutely annihilates actual smash burger joints; the meat/fat ratio was perfect and the peri fries topped it off! Fridays shisha order was pomegranate, grape and mint and it was made how it should. Classic flavour, tasted spot on. The ambience and decor of Cafe Ashiana is easily one of the best I’ve visited. Everything from comfortable seating, ample heating, TV’s and an outdoor section (which looks incredible, not sat outside yet). Cafe Ashiana has set levels.

The best shisha lounge in the Midlands. I came to watch the Amir Khan fight. The atmosphere was amazing. The shisha was spot on and lasted a good while, the customer service was brilliant even though the place was packed. I will definitely be back. Keep it up

Frozen Lychee and Frozen Raspberry £16 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This lounge has been on the list for over a year and since I was close to the area (around 40 miles away) I had to pop down for a breakfast shisha. Upon entering we checked using the track and trace app and then ordered and paid for our drinks and shisha. We then proceeded into the lounge and sat down in the comfy seats whilst waiting for our shisha. Shisha came out within 10 minutes in an Alpha X with an AOB provost. It was one of those lychees that you could taste which I was happy with, the clouds as you know from an alpha is great. This lounge gives alpha x as standard and they have way over 100 in the inventory. The lounge is beautiful, they have a roof bar and also work is undergoing on an extension into the garden for an outside smoking area, they also have an outdoor seating area. The service was brilliant I spent some time speaking to one of the guys who was nice he talked about how long the lounge has been open and the refurbishments which took place over the years. The vibe was nice with music playing in the background and football on screen. Everything was great even the pricing is very reasonable for the equipment you get I would definitely recommend this lounge to everyone. There are a few pay and display parking spaces on the surrounding roads but are limited.

WOW where can i start.. I have had the most outstanding experience at Cafe Ashiana. I have been coming here for years, since they first opened. I have always received the finest experience. They have just undergone a full refurbishment where they have added a rooftop and a huge garden area for those nice hot summer days. The decor is just WOW! It does not feel like you’re in Derby! The staff always go above and beyond to look after us and making sure we always feel comfortable. Thank you so much for looking after us. Wishing Cafe Ashiana the success! : )

Love this lounge. Customer service was brilliant. Swift service and covid safety in place too. Great music and vibe. Pipe was a great smoke coal was constantly changed when needed didnt have to ask. Also tried the chicken burger and masala chips tasted really good. Thanks for a great time guys will be back!

Like having coka cola Or Aldi pepsi. Which one would you like after trying both? Or peri peri chicken marinated or sauces brushed on chicken while on burner? Looks like alot has been spent on decorations as oppose to other shisha places. These guys really spend on this business and people could see that..

Loved it first time I went and I was pleasantly surprised. Wasnt sure if I'd like it but I'm one for always trying something new so asked to try here. The prices reasonable for shisha and they last for ages, no alcohol served here but u can get tea, coke and mocktails. Also a bite to eat. Music was very good and very current, the place got busy very quick. I would happily return.

Would really recommend the place. First time coming here and was a great first experience. Customer service was on point and genuine. I was offered the chance to change my shisha if I didn't like it and before making we were asked if we had a preference of how we like our shisha. All the staff were very friendly and you could have a good chit chat and a laugh without feeling awkward. We were given a tour of the area as we were curious and oh my did the place look amazing. Currently they are renovating more and from what i saw it looked beautiful and was to look much better from the idea we were told. A relaxing, modern and homely vibe. Would definitely recommend. 👌🏼

It definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff were really friendly, food was really nice and the shisha was excellent, didn't get harsh once in the hour or so we were smoking. The whole set-up looks modern and clean. Straight after we finished our food our shisha was brought out with no time wasted. To top it off as we were leaving they didn't charge us for some tea we had! We will definitely be returning.

I am beyond impressed. The refurbished version of this cafe is perfect. Great service, amazing food and I’m not even a big fan of shisha but that too, is spot on. Keep it up, the atmosphere is lovely! There is an employee called Kaz which I have to mention separately... this is because he puts extra effort in to give detail about the flavour you’ve purchased and gives high-quality customer service!

I don't live in Derby but this is my favourite cafe so my friends and I drive from London/Birmingham to Derby just for this place. Blueberry splash & pear drops is a great combination. The Lotus Biscoff cheesecake is sensational. The DJ at night is great for good vibes in general. Overall just a great spot.

Very impressed with Cafe Ashiana. Great atmosphere, top smoke. Nice mocktails and customer service was excellent. Shishas were full of flavour and cloud's of smoke. Frequent coal change and staff asked if everything was fine. Music was good with tracks which catered for different tastes. Overall had a great night out and enjoyed myself here and highly recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back soon

If they are not busy they service is good, once I went around 4ish and I got one of the best service sat there a very long time , ordered 1 shisha between 2 of us , ordered another 1 after 2 hours and was there for quite a long time , one the guy just walked past us saying guys you have 10 mins ! Like excuse me sir, you can be abit nicer snd explain 10 mins for what ... he thought were been sat there for 4 hours with 1 pipe which I found very rude. Once they got busy no wanted to change the coal and the lady at the country was really rude as well .yes they have Improved their quality of shsiha but the service is just keep dropping... such a shame

Had to change my rating from a 3* because of a great service provided by the staff. Place looks nice though, too many lightbulbs if that's your thing. It's genuinely very classy and has a nice atmosphere. Not too loud like other lounges. This is the only place I know of in Derby that does Tangiers. 100% would recommend a visit just for the good food, desserts, Tangier and atmosphere.

This lounge is arguably the best in Derby. Based within the city centre and walking distance from the bars and clubs with a lovely atmosphere. We have been here many times as a team and the staff always deliver excellent customer service and experience. 5/5 for us!

Cafe Ashiana has been on my radar for many months. As gentleman who normally doesn't indulge into hookah cafes and mainly reviews restaurant, I thought I would take a trip down on a quiet Sunday evening. I was greeted by a gentleman with glasses and a beard on the till who was very welcoming and pleasant. I ordered a frozen apple Cuban hookah and walked into the lounge. Upon entering the vine was pleasing, another welcoming and kind gentleman, tall in stature with a beard walked me over to the table and advised he would bring my hookah. The music was perfect for the atmosphere. When I received my hookah, this gentleman kindly presented the hose to me, the hookah tasted unlike anything I have had before. Rich and sweet flavour with clouds of smoke bellowing. We then entered into a conversation regarding the history of hookah and where it originated from, how the company had renovatedand invested to take the business above and beyond and to enhance customer experiences. He was very knowledgeable whilst very passionate about the brand. Whilst looking around I saw I mixture of different cultures. Its pleasing to see different ethnic groups meeting in one environment to socialise. With that being said I must say special thanks to cafe ashiana for the welcoming visit. This is a must to anyone who loves hookah and wants a beautiful environment to social with friends and family.

This is the only shisha cafe I could find close to cathedral square and I thought it was brilliant! The outdoor smoking area is well sheltered, has loads of seating, a great atmosphere and good music. It was really hot when I went and wish the area had better ventilation as it was a bit stuffy with all the smoke. The shisha itself was awesome! Perfectly made! And cheap at £10. Would definitely recommend a visit

I am not one to smoke hookah but before my night out I happened to pass by this place before going to celebrate a family graduation event. I went in for coffee with my lady and her friends, and was blown away by the design and attention to detail in the whole place. I was shown around the smoking area, both the garden space and the rooftop terrace. My family was totally unaware of venues like this to exist in such a small city. I was exceptionally pleased with the whole layout and look of this establishment, the rooftop reminded me of my days abroad minus the English weather :). This café / diner / bar will give london businesses a run for their money with the whole design concept. I couldn’t get enough and my family in Derby will sure be visiting more often.
