P. R.I was treated to a belated Father's Day afternoon tea by my 2 daughter's at the Glass Strawberry. I must say I was very impressed with the quality of the food and it's presentation but even more so the service from the waiting staff, unfortunately I have forgotten the young man's name who served us, but he certainly did go that extra mile to make us feel we were special and nothing was too much trouble. Top marks. I will certainly return some time soon. We visited at 2.00pm, Sunday 3rd July 2022 (the 4 of us sat in a window seat, that had been reserved for us, so hopefully the management will be able to find out who served us and recognise his outstanding, friendly and welcoming service, an asset to your establishment)

a. O.We had afternoon tea and sandwiches, with tea. The afternoon tea is biased towards the sweeter palate and the balance wasn't right for me. Although the multiple cakes tasted gorgeous and were freshly made, wish i had had a coffee, the tea was loose leaf and seemed very weak
R. D.Brilliant. Been here twice in the space of four days. First time i has the budda bowl, then the vegan breakfast. Coffee with oat milk was delicious. Such a brilliant menu for vegans . Will definitely be back. The staff are excellent.

G. C.A good place to stop for lunch or a break when in the centre of Doncaster. Worth the walk from the Frenchgate Centre, High Street or Civic centre. This is a downside if raining. Very friendly staff indeed and efficient. It was busy, on a fine day. The food was good and good portions. We enjoyed our visit & will go again if weather good!
A. F.A gorgeous hidden gem! Recently found this place as it was voted one of the most missed food places during lockdown and I can see why. Its so beautiful inside, the food is brilliant- so many tasty options, including vegan, which is great to see in a small town. The staff are friendly and diverse, and quick service. The only reason I haven't put 5 stars is the outside is a bit misleading as it says "Coffee House" in huge letters instead of the actual name so it's a bit confusing and means many people have no clue where the place is.

W.Absolutely amazing customer service, one meal was put through the till wrong, our server offered to bring me the meal I wanted but I told them it was ok and I'd have the one that they had already prepared so instead offered me a free drink and after declining asked if I was sure so I ended up with a free chocolate shake after my partner twisted my hand. Food was great as well can't complain about it and more than enough to fill me up.

D. R.I came here with a friend this morning. The staff were really friendly upon entry, greeting us with a smile. After being seated, we were greeted to a rather affordable and eye-watering menu. Ordering was really easy, and stressfree.
I ordered the eggs benny, and it was delicious.
The décor was very warming, and the atmosphere was electric.

C. S.Fantastic place to chill and grab a bite to eat. The employees I found to be very helpful and friendly, and I know it may not sound like a bit thing but I'm a big fan of them reading back your order after you give it to them to ensure that it's correct. Not every place does that.
The food was very good, looked like it was cooked fresh to order, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and comforting.
All in all a very positive experience, I'll definitely be visiting again.

T. W.We popped in for coffee cake it was 345pm we originally wanted to sit down but when I asked the staff member he said no? Then I enquired again why they still had customers eating drinking etc? We walked to the counter only to be told that everything had been put away...cake was clearly still in the glass fridge and the chap was standing by the coffee machine! Eventually we promptly told then we would take it away and sit in our car which we Eventually did cost £13.00
Woukd go back but was a bit confused as to why a coffee cake would take us that long g to ear when it was 405pm after repeatedly asking for to be served.

Food is great, very well presented, you get a lot for your money and the atmosphere inside is wonderful. The outdoor seating could be improved but very minor issue. Wish there were more places like this in Doncaster!
o.Nice place, clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and spot on. Down sides was it was cold in there, food proportions was tiny and over priced. Tasted nice but left still hungry. Burgers are better than wow-burgers. Worth a try but wouldn't make it a regular place to visit due to costs

It was beautifully presented explaining what delights we had on there by the lovely Jack. All the staff are so friendly but Jack in particular went that extra mile. Today from the daily specials menu I chose avocado, halloumi cheese and mushrooms all on toast with green leaves and pomegranate seeds. Delicious

V. M.Went for Sunday brunch for a birthday breakfast, just 2 of us. They don't book for small parties, so had a small wait as they were very busy (we got there for 10:30). Wait staff were as punctual as they could be and, as first time customers, we were pleased with everything. Food comes as photographed on their page, which is a nice change from those who just do it for publicity.
It's all table service, but I was surprised to have to pay when we placed the order instead of afterwards - perhaps they've had too many walkouts in the past?
They seem to do a wide range of options for veggie, vegan and gluten free too, so changes to meals aren't an issue for them.

My girlfriend is vegan and was spoilt for choice in their menu. The staff couldn't have been more helpful as well. A charming little eaterie in the heart of Doncaster. What more could you want? Plenty to choose from on the food and drinks menu. The extra bits to add to a breakfast/brunch menu priced a little higher especially as it's only 1 item. £1.20 for 1 rasher of bacon is a bit steep.

The food is top quality with good portions and a wide range of dishes. Simultaneously theirs a good range of hot and cold drinks with their especially well made Milkshakes. Furthermore they are more than willing to account for allergies and intolerances, with a range of 'X' free options/ alternatives, aswell as diets providing good choices for vegans and vegetarians. Best of all its not badly priced for the quality you are getting and is genuinely good value for money.
Would highly recommend and cant wait to visit again.
C. B.Visited today with family. It was busy, food order came after about 30 minutes, which wasn't unreasonable. The new staff member that served us, was bubbly and did well to say it was only her second day. The reasonably priced menu is different with plenty of choice, particularly catering for vegetarians and wheat intolerant. The food presentation was good, quality and quantity was also of a high standard. The only negative I have is that the staff were very slow at clearing the table, plus a second round of drinks was cancelled in the end (4 x same soft drink), after CHASING TWICE from a 15 minute wait! The restaurant wasn't as busy and there seemed more interest in at least 3-4 staff members involved in filling the drinks fridge....Barmy....We will return, just felt I needed to make my point to the owners about this (I'd want to know if it was my cafe!)

G. F.Can’t beat Sunday breakfast but certainly not the cheapest or best around, just best in Doncaster town centre. One of those places that go once it’s great, go again and you realise maybe not quite as good as first thought. Biggest disappointment which sounds petty but I don’t understand is you can’t change anything within the breakfast without being charged for the replacement items… never had this anywhere and will be the reason we won’t be returning

R. P.Me and my partner had breakfast here this week, the staff were lovely and its a really nice place to go out for some food. My partner had eggs benedict and it was lovely. I had the mega breakfast and this was equally as good, however the sausages were not mega. They were on the thin side but I am a huge fan of the Lincolnshire sausage. Don't let this criticism fool you they tasted so so good and I think its more of a personal opinion really. The eggs were cooked perfectly and they have proper Yorkshire tea. I had just finished a 20 hour shift at the hospital and I was so hungry I didn't take a picture so I shall have to return soon to add one to this review. I will definitely be back

D. C.The tea was served in a mug filled to the top with hardly room for the milk. I prefer a cup and saucer and the option of how strong the tea will be by the time I get to the table. I had to ask for water to weaken the tea. Food good but might I suggest that gloves are worn to serve food. The waitress finger was resting on my side salad which I left. I know that we are in difficult times but please just a little more care.

J.Absolutely stunning food, I had tuna and red onion jacket potato with a pot of prawns in the side, home made slaw and salad it was beautifull. My friends had the eggs benedict Wich looked amazing and she loved. My other friend order I meaty cheesy hot baguette, with chips and a cheesy onion garlic bread, which all looked fantastic.
They have great options for vegans, vegatarians aswell. They have a beautiful selection of cakes and deserts. And a range of cold and hot drinks, including low calorie drinks aswell.
I didn't order one of there milkshakes as I was on a diet, but the girl behind me did. It came in a hug hug with what I could only describe as, topped with a donut and cream, it looked amazing. I will be returning back there allot I think 🤣😍

L.Went in today for a meal with my family after the great reviews I've had from my friends and I have to say I was not disappointed, from the friendly welcoming when we walked in, our order was taken by a lovely young lady called tandy, our food came nice and quick and you could tell it was freshly cooked, the decor is very modern and everything goes with the regulations with the partitions, everything is nice and clean and everyone is so friendly and we would definitely be back and highly recommended the glass strawberry 😁
