What a gem of a find. We had breakfast here and it was delicious, great quality and very well cooked. The staff were friendly and chatty. It's a great find and if you're in the area head here for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. Parking on the road was difficult but there's a car park less than 40 metres away. Then you can walk along the sea front to work off that breakfast.

Lovely food, plain hot chocolate a little expensive at £3.00. Toasted sourdough sandwich with crisps and salad for £7.50 which is average priced i feel. Service not so friendly today (Sunday) but could be due to many factors.

Popped In for lunch, and was not disappointed. We were welcomed by the young staff as we came through the door. With a choice of seating downstairs or upstairs, we chose upstairs. It has a welcoming feeling about it, cosy and airy at the same time. The service was excellent and prompt from ordering. Have to say there is nothing I can say that’s negative. Will we return? Definitely

Lovely lunch , great selection of sandwiches on sourdough bread. Full of flavour and very filling . No room for cake but there was a tempting display of them .

Food was great, delicious banoffee scones but 1 waitress was very bad, borderline hostile, didn't seem to care or want to be there, bad attitude overall

This is a lovely little cafe set in a beautiful old building with original features. We stopped off for coffee and homecake cake - delicious! The staff are friendly and helpful. A supper club is also held there once a month. Just the kind of place to sit and relax and catch up with friends on a sunny/rainy afternoon. Well worth a visit.

Not the friendliest coffee shop. Coffee although good served in a glass and luke warm. Top up extra milk not much hotter. Scone good. Overall cleanliness good. Quirky little cafe. Toilets clean with interesting flush handle.

Nice small cafe with a decent menu. They are very capable of handling lots of customers at once. Lots of cycling clubs use this place and it can get busy but they have shown a great service to us as well as others here. The place is on the small side and when busy it can be quite crammed in, but the food and atmosphere is very good.
The place is on a nice location and worth trying out if passing by or on a day out near here. I recommend this place and I've been to quite a few cafe's.

Nice staff. Cosy upstairs. Coffee and hot chocolate prices are reasonable. They need to include there cakes on the menu, I was considering buying one.

Popped into the Sundial for lunch today with a friend and were delighted by both the friendly staff and excellent home made food on offer. The surroundings were delightful and I will not hesitate to return in the future - a gem of a cafe.

Tomato and lentil soup, fruit scone (rectangular in shape - very sensible my late wife said) and a pot of tea. Everything just right. Crusty bread with the soup. Plenty of butter and lovely jam with the scone. A two cup pot of tea. You cannot ask for any better.

Three of us came here on 5th December on a cold, blustery winter's day.The warm welcome from the young staff mirrored the warmth of this quaint, cosy ,historic, compact cafe located in the lane down from the promenade .The cafe and toilets were spotless,The lattes were hot and the fruit scones served with jam in individual containers were a tasty treat. The cafe was comfortable. My only quibble is that the better known cafe ,a few metres away, was rather cheaper.
