Pleasant, dog friendly, ''chocolate mint cake'' is choc cake with a mint choc perched on top. Nice enough. Not cheap but unhurried so chair 'parking' is good value - unlike the ripoff car parking ticket mad Richmond council ninja civil enforcement officer 423... Be wary of locals they tell one to park ''freely'' in the centre of Richmond Town square... It's Pay to Park.. not Pay to Leave !

Great coffee, lovely staff. The chocolate chip cheesecake is beautiful. Savory meals are delicious. I recently tried a gluten free coffee cake and really enjoyed it.

Polite staff and friendly atmosphere. Latte was very nice (didn't even put my usual 2 sugars in) and the pricing is what you would expect (£3 for a large)

Great cafe, and some typical Italian products difficult to source elsewhere. The cakes are all marvelous, and good lunch choices as well. Proper Italian coffee and owners/waitresses are all very nice.

Thought I'd pop in today to give them a go as I walk past it daily with living in Langley. We had two breakfasts and tea, cost just under £20 which I was surprised at the high cost considering that's all that was ordered. Half of the sausage wasn't cooked, same with the egg. Staff were nice and friendly though, just too over priced for basic food. Can't comment on anything else. Worth a try but not for me when I can get more elsewhere for almost half the price.

Ordered 2 milkshakes. Had to wait quite a while, and someone who came in after us got served before us. Milkshakes were nice when arrived but a bit pricey at £3.70 and weren't that big.

Delicious food. Only problem is the awkward layout, feels like a tunnel which isn't too cosy, but still worth a trip. Canoli nice but touch pricey

Judging by the flag about the sweet food products I believe the people there are Sicillian, I could be wrong as my flag knowledge is great but not impeccable. Langley Park is very lucky to be graced by this café as it does truly remind me of the Med. They have a wide selection of drinks and treats and ours were delightful. The siting area is a bit cramped and the seats are ghastly however.

What a wonderful little cafe, fantastic coffee (some of the best in the area and better than any I've had in Durham city coffee houses!). Food is really lovely too, tried pancakes and full breakfast between us and both delightful. Would recommend and will definitely be returning!

Lovely café, very Italian with great coffee and interesting cakes. Well known among the locals, they were dropping in to buy a cake or for a coffee all the time we were there, which tells you a lot about it. Definitely worth another visit, very enjoyable

Lovely Italian food - I'd recommend the salami and smoked cheese flat bread. The sweet treats are great too - the little hazelnut and chocolate rolls make for a great dessert! Staff are very welcoming, too.

I’m not sure how to score this review as I love coffee. We dropped in at cafe Montalbano, an Italian cafe in Langley Park, for a good coffee after breakfast. The lad who took the order was a bit withdrawn. The friendly lass made me a cappuccino. The milkfoam was to airy & thick, so no latte art here. Nonetheless the cappuccino was hot and alright: I would score it 6,5-7 out of 10. After this I had a double espresso. I’m sorry to say that the Bristot coffee they use just didn’t hit it for me. I’ve never had it before but I think it had a slightly stale taste. The same reason why I’m not a fan of Segafredo coffee. As we just had breakfast at our holiday cottage we didn’t have anything to eat. And that was a shame as the cakes, biscuits and food really looked superb & tasty. I suspect if I had something to eat at Montalbano’s I would have scored them 4 stars. But we didn’t so it’s 3 stars for only the coffee.

It's these little places that make a little village, and this place is right up there. Food and coffee was spot on. So glad Langley Park has a little Italian place like this.
