A cosy little café by the side of Nicolson St, with great coffee and even better soup. Perfect for studying (good Wi-Fi and plug points) or for a quick meet up with friends. The only downside is limited seating so during busy hours there might not be spacing available, otherwise great spot!

Lovely cafe and fabulous food (I especially recommend the double chocolate cookie!). I took off one star because the service was slow and two out three members of staff didn't seem to really know what they were doing. However, they were very polite and we got there in the end. Would definitely return.

Food here is amazing! Particularly the mains, but also cakes, salads, soups and sandwiches; wide variety of each. Coffee is very milky though. Atmosphere relaxed. I love the leaf detail all over the ceiling. Service is friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

Great little spot, food is really nice, staff lovely! Great if you need time away from hustle and bustle during weekdays, I can imagine at weekends its super busy as the foods so lovely and good positioning right next to the surgeons hall. Free WiFi.

Didn't eat here, but did come in a few times for a coffee and use the internet. For a traveler looking for a relaxing place to work, have a nice cup of coffee/tea, good music in the background, I would recommend this place. The staff was also very kind and quick with orders.

Fantastic place! I've been a vegetarian my whole life, and I can honestly say that the veggie haggis burger was one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had! A great selection of beers too, would definitely recommend!

The atmosphere is pleasantly calm. A great place to relax in otherwise hectic Edinburgh. Whether you want to eat at all after visiting the museum is another story. (Original) Das Cafe gehört zum chirurgischen Museum, ist aber auch von der Straße für jedermann erreichbar. Nicht nur schottische Spezialitäten werden angeboten, sondern auch ein sehr gutes Chili. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm ruhig. Im sonst so hektischen Edinburgh ein prima Platz um zu entspannen. Ob man nach dem Besuch des Museums Überhaupt noch essen mag ist eine andere Geschichte.
