Reviews of Hideout Cafe Old Town

A great place to stop for coffee and a snack. I prefers a sandwich and a slice of pistachio cake, both of which were delicious washed down with a perfectly balanced long black.
Old Town can be a little bit on the thin side for good quality, independent food and drink. The proximity to so many popular tourist destinations and the high rents make it tricky. But this place is bucking the trend and should come highly recommended.

Lovely place, lovely people, really good coffee and amazingly delicious brownies!!
Small corner cafe close to Edinburgh castle. We went there twice in two days on our Edinburgh visit.
They also take their love for music very seriously! The decor using the old rock tapes is the testimony to that and the songs are played also on the old style tape recorders :)

Lovely cafe for coffee and cake after a couple of hours sightseeing at the Castle. Great atmosphere and background music.

Great coffee, amazing food, friendly staff, lovely services, quirky decor - nothing else can make it better!
Just wanted to add that we had an sun-dried tomato / salad / avocado sandwich toasted, and a slice of the pistachio and rose cake. The sandwich is absolutely delicious, and the cake is a delight - not too sweet, perfect texture and flavour. Thank you to the owners and staff for this amazing little place!

The Café has a really friendly and comfy atmosphere to it. With good music and tasty food and coffee, it turned out to be my favourite café in Edinburgh!! The owner is hospitable and approachable and will make you feel welcome :) a must go when you’re in Edinburgh!

Great cosy little coffee shop hidden away to the side, ideally located.
If you're looking for a cup of tea or coffee this place is definitely worth a stop.

Gorgeous well priced cafe just off the beaten track. Would recommend an ice latte, and the honey cake is to die for. Grab a slice and chill outside in the sun👌🏖️

Excellent coffee in the center of Edinburgh. We tried a blend of Peru and Ethiopia. The cinnamon bun was delicious and the staff very friendly.
