Reviews of Little Fitzroy Coffee.
I. S.
The best vegan bakery ever. The choice is very large and it changes quite frequently. The cakes and pastries are not too sweet, just the perfect amount and you can taste the quality of the ingredients used. Cant recommend this place enough!!
H. A.
My only regret is not being able to try more from this place. Everything is freaking incredible. Service was so friendly. It is extremely vegan friendly, I was overwhelmed with options!!!! The vegan bacon was to die for and the Avo was so well seasoned. You absolutely must go!!!! I can’t wait to come back to Edinburgh just to visit again
S. D.
Please be aware my review is only really about the pain au chocolate from LF, as I didn’t get anything else here. But it was delishhhhh! And the place was cute, and the barista was nice. There were lots of pastry options so will def go back!
L. S.
Having tested probably all the coffee places in Edinburgh, I can definitely say this place has the best coffee in this town . The fact they have delicious food ( vegan options included ) makes it more special . The cherry on top ? The lovely humans working there!
Please Open a branch in the Meadow / Fountainbridge as im coming especially for this coffee here 😁

The best flat white with oat milk in Edinburgh. By far. I'm lucky enough for this place to be my local and what a place it is. The staff are 10/10, no matter how busy they are everyone is always so kind and chatty and they all LOVE dogs (and dogs love them).
N. L.
I got a latte and a lunch veggie bowl and they both tasted amazing! However, I was a little bit surprised at how small the latte was. Still tasted great, was just a bit disappointed that there wasn’t more. Next time I will see if they size up.

I've been to Little Fitzroy so many times but today I took my 6 month old collie dog for some neutral training to get used to busy streets and sounds.
Twice staff came out to ask if they'd missed my order and were always so cheery when I explained what I was doing.
When I finally did order they were enthusiastic and welcoming.
The coffee was great, the cakes I brought home were devoured with glee. Always is.
5/5 for Little Fitzroy.
S. P. R.
Coffee choices are great, cakes equally so. Espresso always a great bean & choice, expertly made. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Always a little queue, people are so interesting!
M. G.
Excellent coffee, delicious pastries and small bites, and most importantly - finally a cafe in Edinburgh that caters for the working people and opens at 7am! This city needs more places like that!
C. N.
Great coffee and pastries! Staff members are extremely helpful and friendly. Make sure to stop by, you won’t regret it.
F.
The best and unique coffee and tea I ever had in Edinburgh. Small place but blessed. The espresso with the ice cream is gorgeous, it’s bitterness and taste doesn’t affected by the ice cream. Chia tea is so nice my favourite. Their sandwiches are yummy and they are so generous with the fillings. I will definitely visit again 💗
C. B.
Best coffee and the most friendliest place. I go there at least couple times a week because they rotate coffee selection fairly often so I get to try new coffee all the time! Love that. Also Covid precautions and social distancing is at the highest standard. ☕👌🏻
E. O.
A gem of a café with lovely staff, fantastic coffee and lots of yummy vegan options! I visited twice during my stay in Edinburgh and would highly recommend! I had the lox and cream cheese bagel, jackfruit sandwich, tomato and olive soup, PB&J cookie and oat latte.
K. M.
This is by far the best place! I don't drink coffee but the hot chocolate is amazing, the cakes and bakes are delicious and the staff are so friendly and lovely. They make my day much brighter and happier! In my opinion, the hot chocolate is not too sweet, the perfect amount of chocolate to milk ratio and there are no chocolate granules left at the bottom...so good! Could not recommend this place enough.
E. 5.
Excellent service, knowledgeable and passionate about the products (purchased V60 kit and filter coffee here). First time visiting but clear to see why it’s so popular - word of mouth (recommendation) all the way from London! To quote the staff ~ take care of your customers, your staff and do things right. The coffee is pretty good too!
R. J.
Brilliant coffee, tasty food and lovely service! I come here several times a week and have never been disappointed.
L. R.
Went there with a friend who knows my coffee addiction. My resume: Very good coffee and omg such a good doughnut :) Deserves 5 stars cause as a coffee lover you can just feel like how passionated the owner is running the place!
A. R.
Excellent coffee, friendly & pleasant folk - and the jalapeno bun was superb.
C. K.
The BEST coffee place in Edinburgh with so many delicious vegan treats. Friendly staff who help me navigate which coffee to try and such reasonable prices. You have to go here if you visit Edinburgh, cannot compliment this place enough! ☀️☀️☀️
1.
Great local coffee shop, (ignoring the current pandemic situation) which is more suited to takeaway than sitting in.
Always great roasts available and their baristas do them justice. There is also a good range of sweet treats available. My personal recommendation would be the Anzac cookies; superb!
S. H.
Great little coffee shop who sell VGN Bakery's buns (best buns in town).
t.
Favourite coffee shop in Edinburgh! They have a variety of local beans on rotation and all are delicious which coffees made to a great standard. Friendly staff too and open early mornings
S. C.
Best coffee in the leith area and one of the best in Edinburgh. The coffee is nice and strong, not too milky. The staff are all really nice and there is a nice community feel to it.
They always have have a great selection of cakes and most are delicious and alot are also vegan.
K. C.
My favourite little coffee shop in Leith.
Delicious coffee, beautiful Latte art and tasty sandwiches.
E. S.
If I lived in Edinburgh I would go here everyday ! The coffee was delicious and the cinnamon bun was amazing! I wish I’d had the stomach room to try all the other treats on display.
L. C.
The best vegan sandwiches of all time (the banh mi and reuben) and the snickerdoodle was also excellent. They also have a good selection of vegan brownies and pastries and the oat milk coffee was delicious. The only negative is that it's a tiny place so don't count on getting a table.
S. B.
Great coffee and great tea selection too (it can be hard to get both in one place). The attention to detail was great. The man who served us was so friendly and happy, I can't remember the last time I got such great service. A real gem. I'll definitely go back.
P. G.
I slept on Little Fitzroy for too long and now I need to make up for it! The service is always lovely and the coffee some of the best in the city. Great selection of beans too so you can branch out easily. My only wish is that I'd visited sooner!
R. S.
Best flat white I've had in a while. Perfect temperature to make it naturally sweet, just the right amount of milk not to overwhelm the coffee flavor and put you to sleep. They also have some unique & exciting espresso flavors, all delivered with a smile and a cheer. And we are currently enjoying their Peru coffee blend in our Aeropress.
A. A.
Nice coffee, and lovely vegan goodies - buns, cakes, and pastries. It can be a tad busy on the weekend so you might find yourself in a short queue, but its on the sunny side of the street.
r. s.
There are some lovely coffee shops and bakeries near Little Fitzroy but this was is my absolute favourite. Amazing coffee, friendly staff and the most wonderful vegan sandwiches and cakes. Always someone new and interesting on offer (there savory muffins are always something special). An absolute must if you are in the area
K. K.
This little cafe was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Edinburgh! If you are looking for a small cozy place for a good coffee in the area this is the one! Very nice people and the most amazing cinnamon roll (unbelievably vegan!) I have ever had in my life! <3
B. S.
I love this place. If I wasn't passing through and living here I would come here everyday forever. The staff are so personal and everyone is friends. Plus amazing coffee and food
A. W.
My favourite coffee shop, bar none. Incredible small batch coffee from local roasters, and an Aussie barista who really cares about her coffee and is very knowledgeable about it. I highly recommend the espresso and the oat milk flat white.
P. M.
The best coffee in Edinburgh by far! We always start our day off at Little Fitzroy. The team are always welcoming and full of chat, so if you love coffee with a warm welcome this is the place for you. Highly recommended.....p.s the pastries are awesome too 😁
A. C.
Best coffee in Edinburgh and amazing friendly staff.
S. D.
Fantastic speciality coffee, lots of good food. Good gluten free treat options.
S. M.
This tiny shop packs a huge punch. It has the best coffee in all of EH7, hands down. The woman who runs it is an absolute connoisseur and font of knowledge. Their pastries are also delectable, and it's dog friendly. What more can one hope for in a coffee spot?
g. r.
Fantastic service, friendly staff and cinnamon buns that are the best we have tasted in ages. Best breakfast ever, was drawn in by the aroma of the coffee.
é. G.
Warm welcome, and delicious cakes including vegan ones
S. A.
A very friendly and vegan coffee place, where not only vegans can enjoy good food, as well as find nice and kind giidance to visit placea in the area. I was surprised to see that they offered coffees from remotes places such as Guatemala and Costa Rica. I loved their very fresh orange juice, and to see that they are dog friendly too. Very ecological and environment friendly too. Keep it up guys!!!
D. T.
What a fabulous addition to the Edinburgh cafe scene!
A relaxed environment perfectly created to start you day off in a good mood. Cathryn has some of the best coffee knowledge in town and arguably the cutest dog around.
With coffee brewed as both espresso and filter, over ice or straight you can have your brew anyway you want it and at a great price as well!
Cathryn has managed to capture the best parts of Melbourne coffee and intergrate her fantastic personality to produce what's fast becoming my favorite coffee in town.
Along with coffee there is a delicious selection of hand made nibbles, the perfect accompaniment.
C. C.
Lovely coffee shop with adorable staff. Their vegan cakes are amazing! Love the kombucha too :) highly recommended !!
A. B.
Little Fitzroy deserves five stars. The croissant and coffee I had were both excellent and the service was personal. Wasn’t too expensive. While the coffee is a standard 2 shots I’d go a triple next time to get a stronger hit! Great place.
M. R.
Normally dont go for vegan scran but the ersatz Rueben sandwich was amazing
M. S.
Lovely little cafe (only doing takeaways atm) with a wide selection of treats and sandwiches. Can 10/10 recommend the vegan cinnamon roll.
A. C.
When Little Fitzroy reopened after lockdown and I got my first flat white from them in months my face apparently lit up with joy. To quote my friend: "Aww, you look so happy!" I always am after popping in. Delicious coffee and cakes served with a large helping of good vibes. Delighted it's my local! 😁
J. M.
Highest praise for the coffee AND owner. She helped a mom of toddler twins on a horribly rainy morning with free frothy milk while we waited for the bus. If you like genuine people, modest on point design and ownership this gem is for you!
K.
Lovely service and delicious coffee.
The available bakes were excellent, highly recommend the pecan blondie if available.
Will definitely visit again!
M. J.
A beautiful snapshot of Melbourne hosted by two lovely people! The coffee was amazing and the food was a delicious balance of flavours, earthy and health-giving. Well recommended.
K. G.
Very chilled and friendly place. Coffee is king here and it serves some of the best I have ever tasted. The freshly squeezed OJ was lovely though the glass was huge. Also dog friendly which is a plus.
A. R.

J. B.

R. T.
Lovely coffee shop. Open at 7 so I grab a wee chat and a coffee most mornings. Highly recommend, great way to start your early Monday morning!
A. H.
Great coffee in the UK is hard to come by but you will never be disappointed here. Little Fitzroy have an unfathomable appreciation for all things coffee and you can taste that in every cup.

This place has super delicious coffee! As someone who is from Melbourne and has grown up around really good coffee, this place hit the spot. They also have lots of different non-dairy milk options which is important when you can't have dairy, its so nice to have different options instead of just one. If you like coffee 100% visit this establishment.
M. C.
(Translated) The salesgirl was charming and the pastries were delicious.
