We chose this place for our first breakfast in Edinburgh. The cafe was warm and friendly. The gentleman working was polite and fast. I felt very good. Breakfast was very nice. Sweet carrot soup was great. Scottish breakfast was a great experience. I would definitely recommend.

Cozy cafe with friendly service leaving you with a smile on your face! I had the vegetarian breakfast and the highlight was the vegetarian haggis which had a nutty spiced flavour. Hearty food to get you going in the morning!

Tasty Scottish breakfast cooked to my preference by the owner himself. He is one of the nicest owner's we have met so far on our Scotland trip. He was very accommodating and friendly. The cafe itself is very cosy. People pop in for his coffee too. You just come and try yourself when in Edinburgh.

I don’t often leave reviews but my experience at Quinn’s was so good, it is my pleasure to do so. Visiting Edinburgh for the first time this week and wandering around randomly, I popped in to this great little cafe to get out of the rain, and warmed myself up in one of the comfy armchairs. The owner is a fantastic host, so welcoming and attentive, a great ambassador for this fine city. After a lovely sandwich and cuppa, I felt ready to take on the wet weather again. If you’re in the area and want to support a local independent business, head for Quinn’s.

We called in around 10:30am Saturday morning, with no reservation. It was busy, which is a good sign, so we had to wait a couple of minutes for a table. I'm so glad we did! It's only a small cafe, with seating for about 20 people. The place has a really nice friendly, welcoming feel to it. Even though the staff were extremely busy, they made time to say hello and even apologised for the wait we'd had, which was really not necessary. We ordered two coffees and 2 Full Scottish Breakfast and it was tremendous! All of the food is cooked fresh to order and the quality of the ingredients was fantastic. Link sausage and sliced sausage, bacon, haggis, black pudding and tattie scone with eggs, beans, tomatoes and mushrooms. It is, without doubt, the best Scottish breakfast I have had! We got another two coffees to take away and the total bill was less than £30! We will definitely be coming back, next time we're in Edinburgh.

Good honest Scottish breakfast. Sausages and bacon were top drawer and even got a big can of Irn Bru. Great way to start the day. Cosy interior, very friendly service.

The owner was really friendly, checking if you needed any more and explained what was on the plate. Plus his card machine was not ready and he said I could pop back later to pay the bill. Where do you get that these days. Value for money with plenty of breakfast and tea by the mug, so I was nicely set up for the rest of the day. Definitely recommend.

Mike Quinn is a very hard working and incredibly friendly host. His hospitality really was making a difference as the place might not be as "fancy" as some of the chain cafes. For me however, it is what I dig on trips. Direct contact to locals. You don't get that in a Starbucks! The breakfast was fabulous and the coffee is great. I absolutely recommend this place! Went in here for a late veggie breakfast, and the space felt warm and welcoming. The gentleman who owns/works in the cafe was incredibly friendly and helpful. We heard of this place from a subreddit that said Quinn's was the best caff in Edinburgh. They were right! We had to wait a little while because the owner does everything by himself. But we had a couple of hours before our train was due to leave Waverley so we were in no rush. We were asked how we liked our eggs (👍). The food was delicious, generous and well cooked. My husband reported the coffee was very good. He ate all my mushrooms too (I'm not a fan) and said they were very good. The meats were delicious, just right and the black pudding was superior to anything else we've tried. I wish the owner well, he deserves every success.

Popped in here on a cold day for something hot. Soup and a mug of tea. Really good soup (his mum's recipe) and a lovely big bowl. Big mug of tea too. Very comfy and clean if you want to sit in. Owner very friendly. Nice place to drop in and grab a bite. Recommended.

Great breakfast made by order. You might need to wait 15min to be served after owner has greeted you and given you waiting time but once you order food arrives in no time so don't be put off by it. Great wee place. Dog friendly. Will be back!

Our breakfast here was amazing. Everything cooked to order. There was only one staff member and he was doing everything! Cleaned tables, took orders and did the cooking. Run off his feet but handled it really well. There was understandably a little wait for food but it was totally worth it. Just don't go if in a rush but if you have the time I'd highly recommend Quinn's!

Stayed in the apex hotel 3 minute walk from here. The hotel reviews for breakfast weren’t the best so chose to venture out. Great breakfast and great service. Had to wash it down with an irn-bru, when in Scotland and all that. If you walk past other cafes on the way to this one, stay on track, you won’t be disappointed. Friendly, warm and 5* service.

Me and my partner have visited this querky place. Mike the owner of the shop has treated us with utmost respect and the food was great. Drinks were served in lovely mugs and he had the best veggie haggis which I loved. We told him we loved his food and how he treated us. I wanted to give tips but his card machine wouldn't allow it and I had no change so I felt really bad as I know his food and service deserved more. He was alone but was doing really well. Great service every time I have used Quinn's! Reached out to them late last Thursday to get 15 bacon rolls first thing the next day and the answer I got was "of course" came in and the rolls were being put into bag for me. Not only great food but brillaint service aswell!

Me and my daughter called in here for a spot of lunch. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for lunch. It's quite a small cafe but the cute large comfy chairs are simply just wonderful to relax in. The food was excellent, really good prices, the staff are very friendly and provided an excellent service. Looking for a cosy cafe with a great customer service then look no further then Quinns. I am the Store Manager of BE Uniforms on Dundee Street and Mike at Quinn's did an incredible job of catering for our recent (socially distanced) staff meeting. He provided sandwiches and soup for 20 odd staff and managed all their dietary needs. People are still talking about his soup!! We will definitely be using Quinn's for all our future catering needs. SOUPERB!

The hospitality in this lovely cafe was out of this world. Nothing was to much trouble.
