Absolutely brilliant! Staff are kind, welcoming and friendly. A brilliant example of an independent café. You're welcome immediately when entering and are cared for. Coffee is delicious Food is also delicious, definitely worth visiting for brunch. We had a sandwich and soup which were delicious. There are gluten free options. To get 6 stars it would be good to see more food and cake options that are gluten free. The café is well kept, clean and has a lovely vibe.

I’d read about Roundsquare in the Indy Coffee Guide, I had some time to kill before meeting a friend so I popped on. Staff were really kind, and allowed me to stay right up until closing. Coffee (+art!) incredible, and really yummy bagel too.

A lovely coffee shop situated in a very accessible location, the staff are welcoming and kind, I would highly recommend. Furthermore, with a wide range of fantastic drinks and delicious variety of light foods you won't be disappointed here. The atmosphere is vibrant and suitable for families with kids too.

We cannot believe how good this place was. Their bagels were so delicious, fresh and toasted. We loved the veggie options. We were kindly given 2 slices of cake which was some of the best cake we’ve ever had. The owner was so lovely and we cannot recommend this place enough! Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely cafe as soon as possible! Their entire food menu looks so tasty, everything is made with fresh ingredients and coffee is top notch too. I had a pesto mozzy bagel of which managed to take a photo before I finish it in seconds, it was so damn good although I like it cold unlike many others. The service was very speedy and friendly. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to try amazing food.

Definitely one of the best coffees I've had in Edinburgh. I tried a flat white and it was absolutely delicious. They have their own house blend, which easily sets them apart from other coffee shops. The baristas do their job well, and I always appreciate an emphasis on quality, they even do some nice latte art. The place has a simple, elegant design, and the staff is really friendly and available.

NICE COFFEE AND DESSERTS I really liked this place. I came at the end of the day so the display with desserts was a little empty and I wouldn't be surprised if the really greats desserts had already been taken. However the brownie and cake that I tried were quite delicious. As standard, you can see the picture of the cool dragon on the coffee foam. And even though it's posted like a million times and I knew exactly what to expect, it was still cool to get 😂 and my flat white was decent. Great place to get a fairly priced cup of coffee and dessert if you're feeling it

Staff who take their time to make your coffee rather than rush it. Nice, simple menu. Not too loud. I really like that certain tables have laptop bans on them so customers can actually come in groups and talk to each other (laptops aren't banned altogether, just at certain tables).

A lovely coffee house that serves delicious, homemade food that is made with care and passion by the owners. I came here for breakfast upon my visit to Edinburgh and had a granola bowl which was so tasty. I'm visiting Edinburgh again later this week and aim to come here again! Lovely atmosphere and great music playing. Vegetarian and vegan options available, too!

Just wanted to share our great experience at Roundsquare Coffee House. The manager couldn’t have been any more helpful, when I said I required GF bread, he was going out to buy some but turned out already available. Very tasty bacon butty on GF bread and 1 bacon butty on sourdough bread amazing service. Will be back as felt at ease and didn’t have to worry about cross contamination 10/10 My new favourite cafe xxx

Nice coffee and cake, but they really don't seem to be taking the pandemic at all seriously. Cakes on open display right next to where customers walk past, staff coming right up to tables to serve and chat with no mask/gloves etc. Tables quite close together - probably far enough apart while sitting there, but customers walking past come very close. Contact tracing was by means of an open visitor book, so everyone can see the names and contact details of all the other customers.

Pretty decent, the coffee took a while but was smooth and a nice complex roast. This place has a unisex toilet and WiFi. Not loads of seating but enough. Bloke who served me was very nice and smiled which was nice. Only downside is the parking, it's 5 quid for a few hours! I've spent less on a McDonald's meal! Come on council please support local businesses instead of chasing them away.

I don’t agree in the least with the negative comments recently posted regarding the coffee served by the new owners of Roundsquare. Being a regular customer, almost daily, for several months now, I have enjoyed the coffee throughout, and I find the new coffee source to be excellent as was the coffee used by the previous owners. The atmosphere at Roundsquare is friendly and welcoming, the food delicious (scones!), and I give the new owners top marks.
