Much more than a coffee shop, warm, cozy, small restaurant with great food and a nice ambiance. Staff was friendly and helpful; food came out hot and perfectly prepared. Left full and very satisfied. Couldn't think of a better place for breakfast.

This is a small cafe. From the start the staff were polite and helpful. Halal food. I had the pita bread with chicken and avocado . Delicious. Pleasant view of Edinburgh Castle too. We also had the soup of the day. We'll presented and filling along with the soft bread. 5 stars worth a visit as tourist or as a place for locals to meet in the Grass Market area.

Visited twice during our stay in Grassmarket, Friendly welcome from all the staff. Both our visits were to a very busy cafe, which is always a very good sign. Our orders of latte coffee, pot of tea. Special bagels, and scrambled eggs on toast were all thoroughly enjoyed on our visits. all food was freshly made and delicious. All the servers were luvly. Had a joke with a male server after missing out on a bagel on our previous visit :) We enjoyed our two visits, will return next time we visit Edinburgh :) :)

Halal scottish breakfast is amazing every single time I visit. Large portion that will leave you full for hours and affordable price. The ambience is super amazing as well, right next to the castle. The toilet is really clean too, so that's a plus! Definitely a must visit for everyone

Had Scottish breakfast and black coffee here. The coffee was really nice and although the haggis didn't taste like authentic Haggis I had elsewhere, it's really flavourful and I would very much recommend trying it out! The price was not bad either. Scottish breakfast for one was around £8-£9. Definitely give it a try!

Lovely small cafe but has plenty of seating area. Went there for a full breakfast. Staff are lovely and the service was fast. The location is excellent and there is a beautiful view of the castle. They do a variety of things to take away if you want and they have a selection if cakes if you are going just for a cup of tea. They are also reasonably priced so if going as a family or for a business meeting they can accommodate fir you.

The food and the service is amazing! Everything was sanitised and clean. I especially recommend the chicken club sandwich. Any bad reviews you see you should ignore, everything was superb and the view from where you’re sat of the castle is incredible. 10/10!

One of my favourite places to go for breakfast with the added bonus that the food is all halal! Yet to be brave enough to try the haggis. Breakfast options a plenty, never had a bad meal from here. I liked their haggis. Its definately not authentic, if you're looking for authentic haggis, this isn't the place for you. But their haggis does taste pretty amazing. So can't complain.

Staff friendly and there is quite a lot of selection on the menu. The food was nice but wasn't quite as described on the menu and we had to wait over 30 minutes for the food to come... But is definitely overpriced for what it is. Overall it's ok.. But I think if it's not too busy elsewhere you might get more food your money but as it is its a friendly little cafe.
