Reviews of Cafe Circa
J. M.
Fantastic family orientated eatery in Broomhill, Cafe Circa offers a surprising selection of dishes as well as good ol' breakfast favourites. Combines the traditional scottish cafe with newer feeling menu options along with fabby service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend, makes me wish I lived nearby and could call this my local!

West end cafe. I like the photos inside. Cake was nice.

I had a lovely breakfast of french toast and delicious bacon all cooked to perfection. The lady who served me was an absolute delight. Circa is one of those places that instantly makes you feel comfortable.

This is our favourite go-to for brunch and lunch in this area. Great food and service, the specials never fail to impress.

Lovely latte & cake, however the 2 guys in the back were continually looking at me & laughing loudly as l was being served, slightly uncomfortable experience.

Popped in for brunch to this small family cafe. Plenty outdoor seating as well as inside. White walls covered with family photos taken with original owners right up to present day. Was fascinating. Friendly welcoming staff. Clean toilets too.
The coffee and food was excellent. We had the Superfood and Glesga Kiss. Will definitely be back again soon.

Lovely food and great service. Enjoyed my french toast and bacon. Carrot cake was scrumptious.

The menu had some great choices, we were quite surprised to be honest. Sadly we just bailed out and had a couple of full Scottish breakfasts, we had previously earmarked the decision. The lady who served us was lovely, and the guys in the kitchen were chirpy and jolly too.
The breakfast itself was great, it wasnt greasy at all, the egg was runny and everything was hot and super yummy.
The cafe is only a wee spot, which I think adds to the experience, it's that little more personal. A nice touch is the abundance of family photographs, large and small spanning what seems to be several generations.
We will be back again, and we will venture beyond the classic breakfast.

The cafes pictures on the wall took reminded me as if it was my own parents when I lived in Glasgow 50yrs ago. Oh and brunch was delicious

I have always had excellent service and good food at Cafe Circa. I went today with my friend at 3.30pm and waitress was quite obviously not amused with us as first thing she said was, 'We close at 4pm! It wasn't so much what she said but her non verbal communication. We only wanted coffee and biscuit and agreed to leave before 4pm. I get that the place has to close but no need to be annoyed.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Legendary ‘lentil soup’. Daily specials are something to watch out for. Family business and family friendly (and pets too).
Great for a Glasgow west end stop off

Can't fault the breakfast offering always good, but went in for lunch today and was a bit disappointed. Cullen skink was watery and not very flavorful and chunks of potato far too big for my taste. On the whole needed seasoned. Sandwich I had was cheese and onion. Nice and cheesy, could tell it was a decently strong cheddar but the lettuce leaves on it had a fair few black slimey bits and the cucumber didn't seem very fresh.

Great wee lunch, a welcoming wee cafe, definitely be back

This place was ok. Got a bowl or soup which was quite nice. Staff weren't overly friendly, although it could've been because they were really busy.

A hidden gem on the Crow Road in Glasgow.
Whenever we've stayed in Glasgow we make a point of eating at Cafe Circa.
The staff are always pleasant and up for a chat if they have the time, as it's a busy place.
You can eat inside or out, there's a little cordoned off area at the front, enough for a couple of tables.
Inside is a hive of activity with the chefs working busily and waitress taking orders and serving. The walls are decorated with family photo's from different eras.
The food is delicious - I had the Stornaway kedgeree, rice and fish together with black pudding and a poached egg. My wife had pancakes with bacon with maple syrup.
Will we go there again ? You bet we will!

The food was well prepared and presented. Staff were quiet and polite and efficient. The cafe itself was a little tired decor- wise. I would go back again, no problem.

The food and the service was out standing
D. L.
Good food and coffee, friendly staff and, as other reviewers have said, unpretentious. However crockery and cutlery a bit old, tables a bit tired and so not as welcoming as it could be.
M. O.
Charming family-ran café with a distinctly 'old Glasgow' vibe, but there's nothing quaint about the food which is uniformly excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else for breakfast.
