Came here early afternoon wasn't busy ordered 2 Fish Teas. When they arrived my partner noticed a hair on her chips. Told the waitress and she replaced it had to wait 10 mins for a fresh portion to be cooked. Service is great and staff couldn't be any nicer.

The worst special fish suppers we have ever had from them. Not sure what kind of fish it was but defo poor quality and thin. Chips were nice tho!!

You can get great fish and chips here - best around. But on the odd occasion I found the standard dropped and I got 2 quite small relatively scrappy pieces of fish. Chips were always decent. Staff are usually friendly youngsters and the place is smart and popular during peak times. Nice ice cream too.

Very good customer care in a wonderfully clean bright fresh take away. The battered fish and bread crumbed fish were both succulent and fresh. The scampi was very tasty. Two meals were served with a good quantity of quality chips. The third meal was served with three large, an ample supply, of crispy appetising fritters. The ice cream counter looked very attractive. A very enjoyable meal on a cold winter’s evening and just what was needed after a cold wonderful day on the hills nearby. We shall be back.

Good food at decent prices. Visited here with my mum whilst in the area. Although it was very busy the service was quick and delightful. We both had the fish tea and really enjoyed it. I opted for an alcoholic beverage instead of tea as they have a liqueur license. Mum already planning a return visit with the grandkids.

Love love love this place. I used to go to tgis place in the 70s and it's brilliant to see that it's got bigger and better but kept the homely feel. The girls are brilliant and take an interest in the diners so you feel special. Food is great and reasonably priced. Portions are huge so don't eat beforehand.

A very popular place for good food in Kirkintilloch. We were at a children's party in a special room they have for this. Service is friendly and prompt from very hard working staff. Fish tea is highly recommended, as is the famous Ghiloni ice cream.

The food isn't bought in fresh. The burger was made from frozen. A member of staff even walked in with a cooler filled with produce from Sainsbury's. The cheese on my burger was a lazy cheese slice. I'd recommend that Ghilonis swaps to a grated cheddar for the cheeseburgers. The floor is very dirty, the tables could use an extra wipe down. Staff seem friendly yet uptight.

Nice people who own and run the place, just not the best coffee. Also: latte is not meant to be served scoldingly hot, and it should also not come with a thick burnt milk skin floating on top. Ghiloni's ice cream is good. Unfortunately they had to change the recipe 30 or 40 years ago to comply with EU regulations. If Brexit goes through there will be a chance to revive Mr Rossi' s old recipe which was excellent.
