Great value for money
Waiter told me this was only branch for hot food. My first time visiting will come back soon!
B. R.An excellent brunch spot with fabulous takeaway options too.
We had the Korean fried chicken waffle and the courgette fritters (with an egg on top). There is a brilliant range, really good options for dairy free, gluten free, veg and vegan.
Current brunch menu is a tenner for a dish and a drink and it is so very worth it.
Service was excellent friendly, and in good time.
In current covid restrictions the place is well spaced, kept very clean and is still warm and comfortable.
S. F.Great atmosphere from the moment we walked in. Very nice decoration as well. Staff is very friendly and always smiling! We only tried a biscoff donut which was fresh and tasty, the rest of the menu looks great as well. Nice cakes with plenty of options. Can't wait to come back to try the menu!
A. S.Really great place for brunch. The menu is very varied with choices for all tastes. As I find the menus of a few of the other places nearby very samey. I had the Korean fried chicken pancakes which were lovely and my girlfriend had the Mexican bowl with extra hallomi.

E. T.Really awesome varied menu, so tasty and so reasonably priced. All meals are a tenner and come with a drink. Coffee here is genuinely good coffee, barista really knows what they are doing. Cookies are absolutely insane. Baby friendly too. Would 100% make this my local spot of i didn't live 100s of miles away. If you're Glasgow based, make sure you visit!

S. !.Really awesome cafe. Despite looking like a hipster hangout, has really tasty food and an interesting menu, serves large portions at surprisingly good prices. Massive, tasty cakes.
Most significantly however, in my mind, is that they serve proper filter coffee, rather than merely the same burnt espresso-based coffees as everywhere else.
I'll definitely be back, frequently! 😁

K. S.I really like this cafe. The young team behind the business seem to have hit the nail on the head in terms of the menu which is simple and appealing. The sandwiches are really, really good! Great spot in Battlefield and good windows for watching the world go by. This deserves to be as popular as it had been since opening. It's my new favourite local cafe.

S. H.Coffee is good and the food is nice, but service is so slow. I completely understand these are really challenging times but theres one person making coffee with queues of 10+ people and I frequently wait over 15 mins.
I know staffing needs to be kept at a minimum for safety and to keep costs down but there never seems to be any urgency from the team and they aren't particularly friendly.
I would rather go somewhere else

The brunch food is something else.
Not a huge menu, but they have got everything absolutely nailed.
Particular favourites are the Hot Smoked Salmon and the Bulgogi French Toast.
It can be quite busy at times, but the staff are great at keeping everything running smoothly.
Bonus: The coffee is lovely, and there is always a wide selection of cakes available.
A. F.I found the experience mixed. My pork patty was really good, but the accompanying egg was overdone. It came with hash browns according to the menu, but they looked like chunks of fried bread to me. Coffee was good.
I would go back as the menu looked interesting.

Food is of an excellent standard and won't cost the earth. Service is informal and friendly and you are left alone to enjoy your meal/coffee.
Would definitely visit again.
D. W.I've been to the majority of the brunch places in the southside now and grain and grind comes out top for me.
One of the few where there's actually enough space to be comfortable, a decent twist on the usual stuff you find on the menus and the coffee is decent.
Not the cheapest of the lot, but probably the best overall experience.
P. M.Really nice atmosphere, good food and staff were friendly. My only comment was that the seating was tight. We were on the sharing table with the roasting machine very close behind us and this was the main route through the cafe for staff and customers. This meant having to move / get bumped everytime someone walked which wasn't very comfortable or pleasant. Luckily staff were happy for us to move to a window seat when we asked. Kitty's donuts were a real highlight! I would recommend / visit again.
C. T.Great first visit today for brunch. Nice atmosphere, great food, and the staff were lovely. The only reasons I'm not giving 5 stars is because I found the seating in the room closest to the counter a little bit cramped together, and I noticed small flies hovering near the cakes out on display as there was nothing covering them. Regardless, I would visit again and recommend it to friends!

A. C.It's a coffee shop. It doesn't sell overly burnt coffee - which is a good thing - but nothing that specifically deserves an extra star because I'd expect that. Everyone in the southside will rave about this place but I don't see what elevates it above other coffee shops

R. W.Brilliant coffee and food place, with excellent coffee. They also had oat milk as a dairy alternative and often but not always have gf options. Staff are friendly and it feels relaxed and cosy but very clean and tidy. They are also dog friendly. Do go.
E. M.Visited at the weekend, 3 of us ordered food and I asked to have scrambled egg rather than poached on my toast. The waitress came back to tell me the kitchen were not doing substitutions... I understand many customers requesting swaps is frustrating for staff but I don't think 1 type of egg in place of another is much to ask? When the poached eggs arrived, they were significantly overcooked. If you are going to insist on doing poached eggs perhaps I could suggest you at least cook them properly?
FOH staff are friendly enough but this place isn't the cheapest, and considering my experience at the weekend unfortunately I won't be back.
